Our website is slowly coming along, We have many more updates to apply yet before launch but we are getting there  Grin

Here's a sneak preview:

782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGiveaways.org - Intro to crypto & giveaway site - Under Development on: November 11, 2016, 10:19:07 PM
Okay i'm going to talk to few dev i know from alt coins and check if they are interested in donations.
Also i can help managing them, if any, on their behalf if they are too busy.

Do i need any additional information from your side to tell those devs?

Thanks! Awesome, that would be great if you could manage! You're a great asset.

No additional information, I'll post donation addresses for coins without balances in the next few weeks with you saying you could help us manage the information, lets get the coin communities onside aswell for the extra support.

Ok, after much debate we are now planning our launch coins. Over the time of development we have tested a range of coins on the site to get an idea of the type of capacity we will need to operate.

As some of you know we will have information about the coins present on the site which is accessible via clicking the coins logo BUT we need this information keeping up to date, the information will be contained within a Modal (as shown below, this is the data for DigitalCoin). Ideally we need someone from each coins community to periodically proof all of the modal information for that specific coin aswell as checking links (We will be building a automated link checker in the future).

Modal information

So two things need to be in place for a coin to stay/be present on our website (Besides the obvious of a working wallet!) - First (and most basic) we need funds and second we need the data we hold about the coin being kept up to date! If a wallets funds run out our modules turn from a claim form to a donation form (With a donation address for that coin), from time to time I will fund the wallets myself but we will be aiming at keeping the wallets funded via donations. If donations don't come in for an extended period the coin will be temporary disabled pending us contacting the coins community to discuss further.

The coins we have on our list are below, they are split into different groups (any donations already received are reflected below)

Coins that will be added and modal details/links monitored by us;
  • Bitcoin - BTC (0.05BTC)

Coins that we have tested (and are working) but no initial donations for:
  • DigitalCoin - DGC
  • Bitmark - BTM
  • GameCredits - GAME
  • Granite - GRN

Coins we have donations for already:
  • OPALCoin (OPAL): (Donated 1,000)
  • Einsteinium (EMC2): (Donated 10,000)
  • Cypherfunks (FUNK): (Donated 1,100,000)

We are in discussions with:
- OKCash to add OK to the site

^ We are starting discussions the coin communities noted above in RED so they can monitor and keep up to date their details on our site. If anyone would like to take up the role of looking each coins modal information periodically then please PM me to discuss this opportunity further ^

Notes about our CryptoGiveAways.org project:
  • This is a project! Not a finished product!
  • Our idea about this site is fun not serious! However our design and implementation is serious
  • My main motivation for the project is to learn more about cryptocurrencies and automating cryptocurrencies
  • Once the site is live payments will be made within 24 Hours, this is while we evaluate the system using live data and testing automation scripts
  • If you don't like something about our site - then tell us
  • Claim Limit: We will have a daily limit on claims per 24 hour period and any single claimant will be unable to make anymore than 1 claim per coin per 24 hours,
  • We will schedule to check over all the coins information but can't dedicate the time
  • To start we will have a limit of 1,000 claims per day for the entire site

If you have any feedback on the above let us know

787  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest UK on: November 06, 2016, 05:03:41 PM
I've just registered on the forum, but while I am waiting for my account to be approved I'd like to ask a question here.

I'm currently working on a project that has the potential to change the way that people view Bitcoin, not those that already use it now, but the wider population. It's a combination of hardware and software, and I may have some prototype/demonstration hardware ready in time for Coinfest next year. Not planned, but the timings just happen to be about right.

What would happen with regards to being able to attend with a bunch of hardware and a few servers, and setting up a demonstration system? I'm not ready to release too much information yet, however Coinfest does seem an ideal venue to announce it all. Rather than bits of information online, demo a fully working setup at a public venue Smiley

Welcome to Bitcointalk  Grin

Awesome! That would be amazing, definitely something we can discuss. We already have an idea of layout but of course that will probably change until a month or so before.

As last year we created custom CoinFest flyers about the events at CoinFestUK (Like GameCredits demo, ROKOS set up etc) so it would be good to work with you to do the same (Limiting the information where you see appropriate)

Drop me a PM with your contact details and we will discuss more

Hey guys (I posted this in the CoinFest forum a few weeks back but would like to see people's opinions here aswell)

This is just an idea (and I know it goes against one of the fundermental rules of CoinFest!) but I think it has some justice as an idea that 'might' work.

What if we charge visitors were charged a £1 fee for a ticket for CoinFest but on attending CoinFest they receive this £1 back in Bitcoin as a paper wallet.

Hey,

CryptoGiveaways.org is in its final stages and we would like some from the OPAL team to test our services and ensure all data held by us is up to date and kept up to date.

If you would like to take lead on the OPAL front please drop me a PM, I have PM'd the bct user OpalTeam but not had a response yet.

The BCT thread is : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1025843.0

You'll be credited on the site for your feedback.

Thanks

Along with our upcoming website restructure and closure of CoinKite just after our last event we have a new donation address. Below is our BTC Vault address for all donations and sponsorship funds. (As per our last event some sponsors wanted to make private donations, this is still possible please get in touch if you would like to discuss this)

I see you preparing project for very long time. I'm interest about few details of it. If it will be something like faucet, but without ads, from where you will take money to pay to users? And what coins you are planning to give - standard (bitcoin, popular altcoins like litecoin, dash, ethereum and similar) or fresh altcoins received from developers to promote coin?

Yep indeed, quite awhile.

Yes it is a faucet without ads. Coins will be donated by Devs/Communities and I normally have surplus coins let over from other services I run which I will be putting into the faucet.

Not announcing any of the starting altcoins yet, Bitcoin of course but altcoins will be announced when we have finished working with the Devs to ensure we are all happy with the set up.

Thanks

We will soon open for private testing with the communities who will be part our launch. Once testing is complete we will post an update.

My client is stuck on 604459 and https://pool.hashnova.com/pools/Cypherfunks/FUNK and https://chainz.cryptoid.info/funk are showing the same.

Anyone else having this issue?
