1064  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest UK on: May 04, 2016, 12:41:54 PM
Do you have any examples of them? Does this mean attendees will have to pre-register.

Hey.

Examples of what?

We will be releasing the ticket system, the same one we used (But tweaked a little) for CoinFestUK 2016.
1065  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest UK on: May 04, 2016, 08:09:22 AM
Hey guys,

I'm looking forward to CoinFestUK 2017! and I have grand plans for the event. I am organising operating CoinFests around the UK in Scotland, Ireland and Wales to run simultaneous to the England based event.

I may run the Scotland, Ireland and Wales event just for one day but will detail more as time progresses.

I am planning in April 7th/8th for the CoinFestUK
1066  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Crypto Art Gallery - Manchester, UK on: May 03, 2016, 01:31:17 PM
This is freaking awesome. I'd fly over to Manchester to attend this. Any set date or plans?

Awesome! I am planning the event for either late this year (Nov, Dec) or early next year (Jan, Feb) and will be looking at hosting the event at the same  venue as CoinFestUK (Madlab).

If anyone has any suggestions or would like to help me organise the event, send me a PM.
1067  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Crypto Art Gallery - Manchester, UK on: May 03, 2016, 08:32:06 AM
Loving the idea for this event for Art. Love art myself depending on what type of art it is and design and style. Ill be sure down for the event depending on times dates etc but an art event would be cool.

Thanks, I have had alot of positive feedback from crypto/bitcoin artists which is good. I am trying to get an idea of budget I will need don't think it will be too much but want to make the event right.
1068  Bitcoin / Meetups / Crypto Art Gallery - Manchester, UK on: May 02, 2016, 02:12:21 PM
Hey guys,

I have been speaking with crypto/bitcoin artists from around the world with an idea to bring a crypto/bitcoin art gallery to Manchester, UK as a 1 or 2 day event to showcase their amazing work.

Alot of the artists I have spoken to have said they would love to be part of this event and show/allow me to show their work at the event.

I am planning on hosting the event near the end of this year / early next year (We have CoinFestUK 2017 in April next year!)

This thread will grow as my plans progress.

1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isle of Man May Soon Be the Online Crypto-Gambling Destination on: May 02, 2016, 09:12:34 AM
http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/05/01/isle-of-man-may-soon-be-the-online-crypto-gambling-destination/

Quote
True to its intention of becoming the Bitcoin capital, Isle of Man has recently decided to relax its gambling laws to include bitcoin and digital currencies.

The Gambling Supervision Commission has called for a limited consultation for a period of one month, starting April 20, 2016, till May 20, 2016, with an intention of revisiting the existing gambling regulations and updating it to meet today’s standards.

According to the document, the Gambling Supervision Commission has shortlisted 6 changes that can be incorporated to Isle of Man’s existing gambling regulations. These proposed changes, according to the document includes –

 * making changes to the regulations to allow the digital currency to be accepted just like cash

...by making bitcoin and other digital currencies legally acceptable by all online gambling services operating out of the country, the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission is not only attracting domestic customers, but virtually anyone from across the globe with a working internet connection and digital currency to spare for gambling.

Until now, a full gambling license holder could only sub-license games to other providers minus the back office operations. If the proposed changes are adopted, then the licensee will be able to sub-license the back office operations concerned with the sub-licensed games along with a range of live betting and lotteries as well.

I Think I'm moving to the Isle of Man! They are pushing forward with Bitcoin/crypto much more than anywhere else

CoinFest is a global event celebrating and promoting Bitcoin/Cryptocurrencies. I hosted it in the UK in April and had some Bitcoin art and tshirts at the event, it was well received so definitely something I will have at CoinFestUK 2017! See the main site here CoinFestUK.Org (The 2016 site is archived but linked on this site)

Great! Sounds supercool! If you have a mailinglist please add me so I'll receive all the infos for the next year!

Thank you! Yeah...the website ( and the loading bar) is really nerdy...LOL Grin

Did you guys design the website yourself? I've looked through your Instagram album and you have some amazing work! Will you be releasing posters etc of your work ? I'd definitely buy some (and have some at my next CoinFest event)!

Hi! Yes we did everything by ourself, took a long time but it worth the effort! I am Valentina and I take care about the graphic part (website/ t shirts/art), while Claudia is the IT girl - yeah, a girl busines into bitcoin  Grin
Yes all the images you see can be transform into posters, we still don't have the art section ready on the website but you can email me aksing for whatever you'd like to customize.

CoinFest event? Sounds nice! Could you please tell me something more about it?

Cheers,

Valentina

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDRmBSJ_uf8

1077  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] INITCOIN Charts - Tool in developing process. on: April 28, 2016, 09:25:10 AM
Nice service, very fast at loading and easy to navigate!

I like how you can close all other windows and drag one chart across the page, the page is very reactive and fast.

Be good if you could double click the chart and zoom, but the zoom feature is easy to find.

Bookmarked!

We are starting to plan CoinFestUK 2017, we will pin down the date for the event and start to discuss the various activities and timeline we would like for the event.

If anyone has any ideas or things they would have like to see different from CoinFestUK 2016 please let us know.

Smiley

Already can't wait

Smiley I'm definitely looking forward to you hosting the education sessions at the next event, I think this time we have a dedicated area for you with the option of attendees selecting an option when registering for a ticket to say whether they will be attending your sessions or not so I can give you an idea of turnout.

 Looking forward to it all!
