1321  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Indiegogo : Tixie BTC Ticker/Clock/temp Bitcoin Ticker push and play @$69 bucks! on: January 06, 2016, 09:55:04 AM
This is exactly what I have been designing (For my own use), I like to keep an eye on the BTC price without having to use them crappy browser extensions or flicking between tabs every two minutes.

I was building up a basic one for my use, using an old Kindle screen but I like this I'll look a little deeper into it.

is it possible to sync a windows desktop qt client?

Where are you based? I had trouble syncing from the UK but my other systems (In the US) synced fine, first time.

Have you added the nodes detailed below to your client? Do you need help adding them?

Here is a map of the FUNK nodes:

Hey.

Do you need any more nodes (Maybe another European based one), I did issue a free VPS for FUNK for the someone from the GMC team to set up for you guys (I think they were setting up a block explorer) but not heard anything for awhile, I'll chase them up.

Is there some bugs that has to be fixed? It's a long time ago since I last worked on this project. Is there some pools up? Would be awesome with someone with good information.

I'll drop you a PM

Ok, we need some UK based nodes then. I managed to get my wallet sorted (and my friends) but only by tricking the wallet.

Do you have any idea who owns the DGFA65jcSuazPCcP5PUpTdpYsGBKu9HFEV address?
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: January 02, 2016, 11:31:05 AM

Also do we know who owns the DGFA65jcSuazPCcP5PUpTdpYsGBKu9HFEV address?

Anyone any idea who owns this address, it does seem like they may be a solo miner, think it would be in thier best interest to join us to help bring more life into Datacoin and find a future for it.
1328  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - Raspberry Pi model B - [USED/NEW] on: January 01, 2016, 01:00:40 PM
Thanks guys. I'm just waiting back on a few prices from a supplier near me who said he could give me some discount for work in return, I'll let you know.

Working nodes ATM:

        "addr" : "80.74.157.31:4777",
       "addr" : "92.222.37.29:4777",
       "addr" : "144.76.123.194:4777"

These are the three European nodes I added to my conf but still no luck, I will continue to diagnose. Thanks
1330  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - Raspberry Pi model B - [USED/NEW] on: December 30, 2015, 01:35:08 PM
would be intereted to know why you need that much. I have 2 raspberry pi b but i'm from asia.

Just for a small project I am wanting to roll out, around half with run a custom code I wrote and the rest will be used a backup should the first half not work on time. I might release my code in the future.
1331  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - Raspberry Pi model B - [USED/NEW] on: December 30, 2015, 11:23:31 AM
how many you want ?

16 in total, how many do you have?
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and shopping vouchers on: December 30, 2015, 11:18:39 AM
I was suggesting that it could be used to buy groceries in the local supermarket. The supermrket would offer the service, and not a 3rd party.

So a local supermarket has a portal on thier site to buy X value of vouchers with X amount of Bitcoin for use in thier stores, the customer then prints the vouchers and these can be used in store, I like the idea
1333  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - Raspberry Pi model B - [USED/NEW] on: December 30, 2015, 11:12:42 AM
Are you interested for us based sellers to work with.

Unfortunately nearly all of the time buying Pi's from aboard they have either been lost or received damaged even on Express shipping, that's the only reason why I would like UK sellers.
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 29, 2015, 06:20:57 PM
Struggling to get a connection from my laptop (Windows 7) but from my VPS (Ubuntu 12.04) everything is fine with 7 connections.

No active connections at all showing up in Windows wallet, using the same (+ other Nodes noted in thread) but nothing active. My VPS is based in a different location to laptop location (VPS is US based, laptop is UK based).

Do we have any UK based nodes?
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 29, 2015, 11:52:23 AM
Thanks, will check my server soon.

That address owns more than 52% of the current mined coins, could be an exchange wallet but doesn't look like it, would be good to have who ever owns this wallet onboard!

Great, I'll start work on my side then I'll pass it over to you and we can work between us

I'll add my nodes (When set up and tested) to the Datacoin conf file aswell.

A mining guide is good, a step by step will be good aswell. The more information for potential miners the betters

I have a few ideas of developments with Datacoin but I think we need all this set up first and then I can detail my ideas and move forward with the Devs I know.
1336  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] - Raspberry Pi model B - [USED/NEW] on: December 28, 2015, 11:56:20 AM
Bought 14 via another channel so now only after 16 in total, anyone selling 10 in bulk let me know
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Renewable Bitcoin Farm on: December 27, 2015, 07:13:12 PM
Interesting idea, what would be your source of renewable energy? I work with a few projects in renewable energy (Mainly wind based) but have a few UK based contacts), I myself am looking for land in Scotland (For a different reason) but have found some old buildings and land going pretty cheap.

Where about in Scotland?
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 27, 2015, 04:28:02 PM
Ok, I've got a few ideas and like I said would like to see a central place (A website maybe) where all the current Datacoin services are listed, with download links, conf file, mining help etc. This will help get us started to see what we need and will be a good place to point others to help them get set up - I'll get this started soon and start thinking of a domain.

Once we have this we can reach out to others and build from there

I have set up a Ubuntu install, could you send a small amount to: DNjJm5stLZReXTAVEfuEqejA9N3uSEv2zt so I can check all is live and working

Also do we know who owns the DGFA65jcSuazPCcP5PUpTdpYsGBKu9HFEV address?
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGiveaways.org - Intro to crypto & giveaway site - Under Development on: December 27, 2015, 01:21:09 PM
Do you have some ETA for the launch of this service, it is really promising, thanks for so nice work

Unfortunately no ETA as we want to iron everything out first and ensure its had a good in-depth test from our range of testers.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 27, 2015, 12:09:11 AM
I still firmly believe in this coin.

It has many attributes that are desirable:
~~A dedicated blockchain for data - immutable thus uncensurable - plus can take the burden of data off of the Bitcoin network.
~~The Proof of Work is the Primecoin algorithm (GPU based - the people still control Datacoin).
~~Bitcoin origin (other types of data layers can be embedded in the blockchain because of this).

I believe so much in this coin that I'm mining it right now.

If anyone wants some FREE DATACOIN for developmental purposes, I'll GIVE you some.

Respond to this thread with your Datacoin address, or PM me here or Twitter or wherever.

I have plenty of Datacoin to get some action happening Smiley Let's do this.

DataCoin is definitely a great coin with a lot of potential, a lot more than most others and I have seen some great projects written for DataCoin which could be applied elsewhere.

What are you mining with ?

Looking back on the thread it could really do with a post of all current services and services required, I'm willing to popup a few nodes (Like you have) and get a block explorer etc.
