You are most welcome.

Sorry I was in a rush when posting, I left out the part that when you get what you deem as spam, you can block that mailing site forever.
As long as youu used a masked mail.
The albine site also contains  all your masked mails, so you can go back to them at any time and see where you registered on.
I tend to keep my own records also.

Np,

abine looks like a great service.
1662  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dodgy email from : admin@btc-investor.net on: August 13, 2015, 04:03:25 PM

btw op it's best to mask such addresses when you're quoting or c/p them, so that there's no un needed potential spreading of it.

cheers

Thanks, but mask which addresses?

I would think he means mask your own e-mail

https://www.abine.com/maskme/

It is very good I use it all the time, I even registered here with one, if you get spam from any of your masked mails, you can create more masks for diffent websites, I have been using the free version for about two years.

Understood, thanks.

1667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you think is the world’s bitcoin center? on: August 11, 2015, 09:08:54 AM
Currently, Arnhem in The Netherlands is the Bitcoin Capital in the world.
^ Wow they look very active with a great range of participants in the city, wish the UK was more like these

I think so, it would be a bitcoin financial centers around the world in my opinion is UK, UK is a country that can quickly intervene development, probably will grow Faster bitcoin

I hope so, I did think at one time the US was at the for front but opinions from the US have changed my mind. I do think we should all not wait for a Bitcoin capital but make new ones and network them.

This shows you how fast the actual bitcoin / crypto-currency world is at finding issues and writing code - its very fast moving.

Looks interesting, I will keep an eye on your service. Where are you based in the UK? Are you registered with the HMRC on the AML register or have you just undertaken a AML Certification to become registered?
1672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cannot Be Deleted on: August 08, 2015, 09:04:23 PM
People like me have built Faraday cages but much more planning needs doing in the event of a global EMP

So we have one Faraday node, now all we need is one more, and then another, and another... Smiley

Haha, we need a network 'Faradaying' (< Coined that) in prep of a strike

The only scenarios I can conjure are two: A catastrophic event that eliminates all electronic devices on the planet simultaneously

You mean like a global EMP - Solar winds or Nuclear. This not only renders electronic equipment redundant but the technology based upon it. People like me have built Faraday cages but much more planning needs doing in the event of a global EMP

Something that took out the whole electronic infrastructure of the planet is about as likely as God existing and taking a dislike to bitcoin and then smiting it out of existence.
Don't be so worried. Lol.

Really? Nobodies worried just forward thinking.

1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto renders UK and all Non Crypto Banks to Second Class monetary status on: August 06, 2015, 09:46:16 AM

As I've said to many people previously some people (average Joe) really don't care that much about the monetary system, how it affects them and also exactly how it works. It often takes a crisis to awaken people and due to human nature this crisis has to affect them to care.

Counterparty risk is a major thing that many bitcoiners forget when convincing joe public to use bitcoin rather than trust the traditional banking system but it is a sad fact that many people don't want to be in control of their own wealth. When you can lose your life savings by losing backups of wallets its not suprising that people want to trust in traditional banking sytems. At least then they wont have their money hacked/stolen (even if bailouts come out of the tax payers pockets. Many don't understand this)

^ They are some very good points. People aren't bothered about how the monetary system works just aslong as they can go shopping and spend money, many do have trust in the banking system although they shouldn't

The technology side is now here to move away from the banks but we need to keep developing and find a way to bring bitcoin to the masses not only as something for them to access but to use in everyday life

Yeah next year, let me know the protocols and any other information required and I'll try to get things reserved
Cool, I'll add you to the CoinFest 2016 map in the next coinfest.org update.  Grin There are 3 main protocols:

  • CoinFest is free to attend for all guests and held in a non-profit manner
  • Host the event at a place that supports cryptocurrency, preferably by accepting it for goods, services or rental fees
  • Host it along with the rest of us April 5-10, 2016

PM me if you have more questions.

Thank you. I will start to plan now and build up some material, I have another event coming up in the next few months so will see how that goes and may work on my content from there.

Thanks again.
