Why so far North anyway? Why not down south around London where people are?
There are many people up North aswell! London host a wide range of events so its time Manchester had some of its own. Manchester is the second largest urban area in the United Kingdom so its about time people come to us aswell.
I feel a rivalry coming on.  Cheesy

Cheesy I just think Manchester needs to be added to the world of crypto as much as London.

George Osborne supposedly re-emphasised his desire for London to be a world leader in both FinTech and digital currencies. Why London why not the UK

You should probably speak to this guy:

Great idea to make it for charity !!
1484  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest UK on: November 12, 2015, 09:48:34 AM
We are looking for speakers for our event in Manchester UK next year, as we are the first CoinFest in Manchester we want to start our event with talks on how cryptocurrencies work (From brief to detailed), the history of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin / the blockchain.

Anyone interested please PM me.

When is it and where are you looking to hold it? There is quite a swell of Bitcoin related investment and know-how in the UK, I think the UK was actually ahead of the curve when it comes to the progression of Bitcoin.

Why so far North anyway? Why not down south around London where people are?

The event will be on the 8th and 9th of April 2016 we are currently in final discussions with a few venues in Manchester. Definitely we have good development but I hope we keep it up.

There are many people up North aswell! London host a wide range of events so its time Manchester had some of its own. Manchester is the second largest urban area in the United Kingdom so its about time people come to us aswell.

1486  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BlockchainPen - an UI for writing messages to the blockchain on: November 11, 2015, 02:46:41 PM
Nice basic, easy to use site: http://blockchain-pen.mkvd.net - I like it, good work

1487  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cryptoparrot.com - realtime twitter bitcoin tracker on: November 11, 2015, 12:47:36 PM
But thinking about the spam problem it may be the best to add a 3rd button next to play/pause named "noSpam". So its in the users hand..

Good idea!
1488  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cryptoparrot.com - realtime twitter bitcoin tracker on: November 11, 2015, 10:49:51 AM
There seems to be a lot of robot and MMM spam.

yes unfortunately its a lot of spam. I am thinking about filtering it out (already have the code finished for spam-detect). Do you think its better to remove them from the real-time tweets and instead just keep them inside the coming statistics and counter??

Yeah probably best, it is difficult sometimes to define SPAM but you seem to know what your doing, ace project
1489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoCloudHosting - Dedicated Website Hosting on: November 11, 2015, 10:29:49 AM

1490  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cryptoparrot.com - realtime twitter bitcoin tracker on: November 11, 2015, 10:11:21 AM
Hey,

Like your site and idea useful to see the rate in which #bitcoin is tweeted, would be good if you could select to show the last 20, 40 or 50 tweets and some stats on the amount #bitcoin has been tweeted over the last hour or day or so.
1491  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Domains for sale on: November 10, 2015, 10:43:26 AM
Bitchat.co.uk is being removed from the list as we will be offering this domain for free with hosting from our CryptoCloudHosting twitter account to anyone who has a viable idea for its use

1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: November 09, 2015, 03:22:40 PM
Hey Guys,

I know we've had CryptoGiveaways.org in development for quite a while now but one of the links we had on your page on our site was : http://wiki.digitalcoin.co/index.php/Main_Page - But it doesn't seem active any-more, can anyone help?
1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use any picture to create a Bitcoin wallet on: November 09, 2015, 09:52:45 AM
I like this idea, as people have said it isn't the most secure but it is a bit of fun. Of course you need to keep the original image you used and colour key safe aswell!
1495  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] NOTPRICELESS - The Blockchain Secured Collectible Marketplace! on: November 08, 2015, 07:04:00 PM
This auction shows no reserve and 1 bid - bid.notpriceless.com/?p=213?auction_id=9 and around 20 minutes ago had 1 hour to go but it's clock has now reset to 1day 23hrs 56mins.

Why?
1496  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Passphrase.io - Zero knowledge notepad - Inspired by Bitcoin brainwallets on: November 08, 2015, 01:37:20 PM
Dev what's the status on this web page?

Need some BTC to keep it going?!?!

Unfortunately I don't have the time to continue developing the project.

Awesome project, is it just time that you need to continue development ?
1497  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A bitcoin advertisment project on: November 08, 2015, 01:27:20 PM
haha that's awesome. Do you have any more information on your development ? You have a good service you could supply!

When I'm infront of my laptop, I'll be sending a few statoshis.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karma / ₭ / X11 on: November 07, 2015, 01:15:52 PM

thats because its a snake with a tail but no head ...

no leader to direct the project to where its supposed to go - or a new path ...

i know there have been a few here that have done A LOT to try and help and get things sorted here ( you know who you are ) but that really is not enough ... not to 'save' a sinking coin anyway ...

anyhow - i hope this wont be the end - as i would like to see more of karma ...

#crysx

I hope not aswell, a lot of links seem dead for the pools, exchanges, block explorers and even links on givekarma.net - Who has control of these accounts?
1499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KARM] Karma / ₭ / X11 on: November 07, 2015, 12:00:59 PM
Dev here? Or the coin is dead? No strong buy support. Worth buying now?
I went ahead and mined a few of these about a week ago but ended up dumping them as it doesn't appear as though anything is happening with this coin currently.

*For future reference, if a coin has this little to no buy support, there's more than likely a pretty good reason for it.

Such a shame. This coin was doing so well maybe a year ago. It attracted an large investor who was willing to buy the Karma powered search engine.
Then all of a sudden all development died and the coin went downhill from there

It is a great shame, Karma was buzzing with a bunch of ideas a year ago, where did it go.

lack of support bates ...

thats what happens unfortunately when the original dev just fades into the background - and no major takeover is done ...

its still alive obviously - with community support ... but no real development and 'fixing' of code ...

pity - was a great idea ...

#crysx

True! Karma was a awesome project, a through the time I offered help but no takers.
