Awesome!   Smiley Great way to start a weekend.

Thank you, I really appreciate all the work that went into making this raffle a reality; and I'm also excited at this example that demonstrates the power and potential of this technology at facilitating help - regardless of physical location.  This is only possible through hard work, and a great community of peers.  This is why I love the crypto space, the people are amazing.

No problem, It's good to see the proceeds go to a worthy cause. I am really glad how the raffle worked out.

I have friends who work in and for charities and as you say this raffle is an example that demonstrates the power and potential of cryptocurrency technology, I'll be sure to use this raffle as a live example when discussing and promoting the use of cryptocurrency technology with charities in the future.

You are most welcome batesresearch. We are delighted to support our industry when can. We are very fortunate that Chris was able to represent us at CoinFestUK. I understand that his presentation was well received. We thank you all for the opportunity and a job well done.

Hi batesresearch, thank you for having Chris represent us at CoinFestUK! Glad to hear it went so well and absolutely, just keep us in the loop.

Thanks guys! Chris's presentation was very well received yes and I heard a lot of discussions about it, again thanks for your support.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - Company Launch and Book for Small Business Owners in 2016... on: April 21, 2016, 10:26:08 PM
Hi there - Chris here with an update from Coinfest UK.

The event was great, with a really good atmosphere of people coming together to promote Crypto as a group. We had a lot of informal interest in DNotes at the conference, from people from all over the UK and Europe, and people seemed to really get something out of the presentation. (I am reliably told that mine was the only presentation in which no-one reached for their mobile phone halfway through, so I will take that as a measure of some success..!)

What really makes DNotes stand out is that while everyone else forgets the importance of mass acceptance, or tries to promote mass acceptance through making coins easier to use, DNotes is about the philosophy, the community and the team behind it. The end result was that DNotes looked like one of the more substantial projects at Coinfest - a project that solves a problem rather than creates new ones.

I will be writing an OpEd article for DCEBrief in the coming days to give a flavour of the issues I covered, and the overall Coinfest experience, but if you're interested I have attached the presentation speech here in Google Docs form: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-CehdX451LDrtmYTFyYniIOgw8GDjLYS56j7Pkyne5E/edit?usp=sharing

The feedback from the organisers is that DNotes had a huge impact on the success of the UK's first Coinfest thanks to our early involvement and the support of our community.

I would also like to thank you all for the support I have had from the DNotes Team in creating and presenting this talk.

Thank you and DNotes for your contribution to CoinFestUK! You supported me when CoinFestUK was just an idea in my head! People and projects like you help shape many projects for the good, You made it a great event and would love to work with you guys in the future with future events and projects. My only regret is not being able to watch all the presentations!

I also will get some more later today  Cheesy

Also, how will the raffle actually be performed?  Will tickets be assigned a random number and then a random number picked, traced back to the TXID and then the user?

Just wondering.

Indeed, pretty much as you described. I did design a random selection system which I may use but pretty much the same process.

1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science | CoinFest UK Sponsor on: April 19, 2016, 10:25:58 PM
Wish me good fortune ... for this week is turning out to be ... of significance.

Always wanted 10mil EMC2, got to 8.1mil .. then gave away 1.2mil, on top of maybe 1mil over a year. This works out, I'm going for 100mil EMC2 and bringing people in.

... also .. shhhh ... don't tell anyone, but may just get access to a pro FX trading bot ... for those that remember April 2014, Black Coin pool used other coins to profit while paying out in BLK. Yeah ... going to use the entire market (apart from a few coins I like) to pay for EMC2 ... science research stuff into .. erm .. how much can a pro bot really beat the market. Will do experiment results and all.

Coming soon.  Grin

always wanted to get 1% of total supply, your goal is far greater than mine Tongue

Don't worry, I only want to buy out the dumpers and give to people who care. You care ...  Wink

Just got back from Etherum Dev meetup in London, Vitalik was there talking an hour and almost an hour of questions. Pretty nice chap he seems, confident. Picked up a trick or two, said hello to an acquaintance from Manchester Coinfest and looking into some work possibilities with www.cryptocompare.com. Charles Hayter was kind enough to give me an invite.

Shout out to www.satoshipoint.co.uk too ... David and Hassan are cool.
Matt from https://twitter.com/PortsmouthBTC
The One the Only --- https://twitter.com/BitcoinRat
Ronny .. the CEO of www.coinsbank.com .. very cool banker look. Very cool.

Can't wait for June, if even a third goes as hoped. Will be spending a lot of time travelling the world talking to people about crypto and IT & finance in general. Already using "Einsteinium developer" as a badge of honour in the crypto meetings. Maybe should go with "project manager" ... until I can actually code again.  Tongue

Awesome! I would have loved to visit the London meetup! Thanks for coming to CoinFestUK Smiley

Just wanted to say thanks for supporting CoinFestUK and being an awesome sponsor! Looking forward to working with you again
