Nice to see such works about bitcoin, hope it attracts many artists & eyes in this event and why not in other future ones. For me i enjoyed seeing the halving one inside this gallery. Keep up good work  Smiley

Thanks. I am much looking forward to the event (When we have a date set), very exciting. The work is awesome and of course some was commisioned for the artists so is sold already but I'm sure there will be plenty at the event.
1042  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Crypto Art Gallery - Manchester, UK on: May 16, 2016, 05:35:27 PM
This is looking pretty good, I'm curious how the art will look when it's on exposition.
The website looks pretty professional, Ihave no doubt that you will find enough people who are interested in visiting once you have a date set.

Thanks. I am getting a lot of messages regarding the event and feedback is good, ideas are welcome.

Trying to workout a few things with the artists but more will be revealed over time
1043  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We just got our t-shirt boxes ...and they are awesome! on: May 16, 2016, 05:32:06 PM
Hello everybody!

I am so happy!

We just received the boxes I made for the shipping of the t-shirts and they are awesome!

I made them like the old pizza box from Papa John's pizza, in order to celebrate the first bitcoin transaction ever made on May 22nd 2010 to buy two pizzas for 10.000 bitcoin (40$ at that time).

I contacted the dev before my event in April to see if I could show this game at my event as I haven't seen such a well design / planned Bitcoin game before like this.

I've had no reply either from the PM or email sent. Hope we can keep this project alive.

oh shit I might have missed this or thought it might have been a mass email, sorry! if this is still an option, I'm around.

No problem bud, glad all is ok and your keeping it live Smiley

I do love the game and need to brainstorm how to promote it best as I know a lot of old school gamers who used to love this game! Could be a good way to get people interested in bitcoin

Thank you very much for your support and confidence in us, batesresearch. Perhaps one day, we will see each other at a conference so that you get a signed hardback copy.

That would be awesome! All the best with the project.

Thanks batesresearch! The support for our project is greatly appreciated and as always, keep us in the loop with your latest projects.

No problem, it's an awesome project and I hope it succeeds! Cheers

Hey,

I'm looking to order some tshirts to see if they are suitable for my future events (I'm sure they will be) and to see what options I have for having some of my own designs printed but is it just me or do the sizes of the shirts displayed here : http://www.satoshigallery.com/t-shirts-sizes-and-colors seem a little odd?

I googled shirt sizes and the average small shirt is Chest (36-38 inches / 91-96 CM) but your small shirts are Chest (19 1/2 inches / 49.5 CM) am I missing something ?

Hi!

We use continental clothing t-shirts and I've just had a look to their website
https://www.continentalclothing.com/style/view/EP01

I think we are both saying the same thing...I mean, the A measure (49.5), if you double it (Ax2= more ore less it's close to the average small t shirt).
Could it be?!?

The fabric is amazig, super soft also when you wash it.

;-)

Cheers,

Valentina
Ah ok I get it, thanks!

I'll be ordering a shirt in the next few days.

Our list of artists who are willing to collaborate and contribute to the event is growing and I'll update the site later with a little more information regarding this.

Thanks.
1053  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Crypto Art Gallery - Manchester, UK on: May 09, 2016, 06:53:12 AM
Did you reach out to the start the art guy? He sells Bitcoin-themed paintings and sculptures here on the forum https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=361155.0

Hey,

Yep I did thanks, he has agreed to collaborate Smiley
1054  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Crypto Art Gallery - Manchester, UK on: May 09, 2016, 06:52:51 AM
Basic website is up at : Cryptoartgallery.org

Nice to see the website up and some art on it too Smiley Looking forward to this if I can make it Smiley Coming up with a few ideas for a meeting and event too. Just getting things noted down and eventually will get on here and share with you and maybe get an event planned and put together done together Smiley

Awesome, wasn't sure how to represent the artists on the site as I know some of the art they have created before has been sold so of course can't be at the event. Any feedback on the site is welcome.

1056  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest 2016 on: May 08, 2016, 10:47:30 AM
CoinFest 2016 was quite eventful, indeed. As predicted, CoinFest UK was the epicenter, with Amsterdam also generating a lot of buzz. Other hotspots included Ghana, Shanghai and Bangalore, Washington DC and Switzerland, and eMunie was our greatest sponsor. Due to CoinKite's untimely shutdown and other unforeseen circumstances, however, some of the global activities were reduced in scale.

The silver lining is that this lack of liquidity caused us to have around 2.7 BTC left over, a great starting point from which to fundraise for next year's events. Unfortunately, our short-term Copay wallet comes with a mandatory feature that creates a new HD address for every transaction... this disrupted our Transparency System, but it is now fixed along with other updates to coinfest.org.

Once the Previous Events page is updated and CoinFest 2017 page made live, it will be announced in a new thread ("CoinFest 2017") in this forum. CoinFest also now has a forum of its own so that organizers around the world can have structured conversation and share details about how CoinFest operates and their own local events... check it out at forum.coinfest.org for the most comprehensive information

Awesome! I loved the spirit of CoinFest and am really looking forward to CoinFest 2017! Plans are grand and I hope we can make it an amazing festival.

I want to promote more inter-event activities in 2017 and hoping to get some amazing collaboration happening.

In opposition to "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3). Just to underline the importance to come back to your privacy.

Amir Taaki and Cody Wilson's project, known as The Dark Wallet, is a software that allows users to anonymise financial transactions. It involves "trustless mixing", a peer-to-peer technology where a transaction you make will be mixed up with someone else.

Love this piece, I like your take on the famous quote.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGiveaways.org - Intro to crypto & giveaway site - Under Development on: May 06, 2016, 11:06:25 AM
Is the site still on the process?

Yes, it is still under development (Just placed on hold for a while as I was planning CoinFestUK) - We are working again on the project
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGiveaways.org - Intro to crypto & giveaway site - Under Development on: May 06, 2016, 09:05:33 AM
I like your idea. Same like qoinpro lol. I hope we can earn fairly in this unlike qoinpro Smiley

I want the site to be more than just a faucet, where people just come to claim their slice. Much more can be done with crypto if people are informed and educated about it and it's uses/possibilities.
1060  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin in the hotel on: May 05, 2016, 01:11:45 PM
Hey PinkLlama Smiley

That is a very good idea! But what is the law like in Croatia for Bitcoin? I am not familiar which the Bitcoin law across Europe (Besides a little in the UK), just to be safe that's all.

If the law is relaxed I can only think accepting Bitcoin will be good for business!
