1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, Stop Calling Bitcoin "Digital Gold" on: June 07, 2017, 02:43:08 AM
it has features both of a payment system/currency and digital gold, additionally it's also like a stock. And right now it is used more like a stock, in which people are investing it in expecting big payouts.

People buy gold to safeguard against inflation and economic uncertainty. That is part of what bitcoin can serve as.

People invest in stocks to grow their money, recognizing that during economic collapse this will collapse too, unlike gold. Bitcoin doesn't follow the global economic trend like stocks do, because it is more like gold here, but since bitcoin is still in the very early phases it will grow exponentially so people are investing in it as though it is a once in a lifetime stock to buy up.

People use money as a payment system. That is what bitcoin does but right now I would say this falls behind its investment potential. Which is to say it is extremely stupid to buy anything using bitcoin right now because you're giving away huge future profits by doing this. Once it has reached mass market adoption and is worth lets say $50k or $100k or more then using it as a payment system will make more sense. When the market is large enough to not move very much (low volatility) its use as a currency will take center stage. Until then people will mostly use it like gold or a stock.

To me, gold and btc couldn't be more dissimilar. They are literally the ideological opposites of one another. One the one hand you have gold, a real substance, pretty heavy, and you can actually use it for more than just a store of value (we use gold for art, electronics, medicine etc). Bitcoin, inversely, isn't real, doesn't have substance, isn't tangible, and has no real world use outside of value transfer and information storage. If anything, bitcoin is akin to paper gold. But despite the differences of character, they serve the same purpose for investors; a place to flee when Fiat/stocks go to shit Wink

But if the shtf, I'd rather gold.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can governments find a way to tax Bitcoin? on: June 07, 2017, 02:10:28 AM
Government will not impose a tax to bitcoin most specifically the bitcoin uers. It's too much especially we dealing with the miners fees and the fees to the exchange itself when we used their service.

The one that will face the taxes are those bitcoin exchanges since they are regulated. Somehow safe because we know they are a registered company and no transparency at all and in case of fraudal activity, we can file a suit. But because they are the one being taxed, those exchanges will have some fees in some of their service in order to operate fully.

But I already thought bitcoin was being taxed? At least by my government, the US. Its called capital gains tax, and it's one of the reason they made bitcoin property instead of money:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/greatspeculations/2017/02/21/if-you-traded-bitcoin-you-should-report-capital-gains-to-the-irs/

The IRS considers cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, to be “intangible property.” Investors and traders holding cryptocurrency as a capital asset should use capital gain or loss tax treatment on sales and exchanges, with the realization method. For example, if you buy Bitcoins with U.S. dollars and later sell them for U.S. dollars, a capital gain or loss needs to be reported on that transaction.

Americans also trade Bitcoins or leveraged Bitcoin contracts on Bitcoin exchanges, and they should report realized capital gains and losses on each trade, even if the trader doesn’t convert underlying Bitcoin back into U.S. dollars.

It’s similar to having a foreign-based brokerage account, denominated in a foreign currency (i.e., Euros), where a trader buys and sells European equities held in Euros, and does not convert Euros back to U.S. dollars during the year. Two choices for tax reporting: Convert Bitcoin to U.S. dollars on each purchase and sale transaction using the Bitcoin market price that day denominated in U.S. dollars, or use Bitcoin as a functional currency, using an average Bitcoin vs. U.S. dollar conversion rate for the tax year.

So BTC careful! (See what I did there? Wink )

I think the red really sets the rhetoric off, don't you agree? It's all so hilarious too, when you think about it;

"This has nothing whatsoever to do with hatred or hostility toward anyone that comes from a background," Dave Kistler, the group’s president, told WCNC-TV. "I have dear friends that are Muslim."

The station points out that the 19 9/11 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. Those countries are not part of the president's travel ban.

Kinda wish we could have seen the straight up immigration ban without it being watered down. They would have booted that shit out even quicker Wink

Domestic terror. Check the thread title. Not global terror. Neat! We have one about immigration around here, it's a tad more colorful than that one. But we know about 'radical Islamic terror', we are talking about homegrown terrorist, in this century, committing domestic acts of terrorism against their fellow citizens. Specifically in my examples, the alt right white national variety.

Why do we keep bringing up Islam? Why can't we talk about these terrorists? Wink
1105  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reality Lee Winner and The Intercept Leak on: June 06, 2017, 11:56:28 PM
Surprised y'all didn't bite on this one. There are a great many champions of freedom of information here, to the point of fault, in my opinion. Also surprised I'm not hearing from the 'deep state' set,  this actually has some rhetorically exploitable holes in it for the Breitbart Ian mind to dwell on (is it a deep state leak?) I uses to be one of the former, someone who believes that information should flow as freely as water, that the truth should never be hindered despite how ugly it is. Then, I grew up and saw how stupid a lot of folks were. I'm thinking folks can't handle the truth, as a leveled sample. Knowledge is power, but knowledge is also a curse.

Anyway, just another Russian interference tidbit I wanted to leave here, it's tasty as usual:

http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/06/politics/russian-hackers-planted-fake-news-qatar-crisis/index.html

Washington (CNN)US investigators believe Russian hackers breached Qatar's state news agency and planted a fake news report that contributed to a crisis among the US' closest Gulf allies, according to US officials briefed on the investigation.

The FBI recently sent a team of investigators to Doha to help the Qatari government investigate the alleged hacking incident, Qatari and US government officials say.
Intelligence gathered by the US security agencies indicates that Russian hackers were behind the intrusion first reported by the Qatari government two weeks ago, US officials say. Qatar hosts one of the largest US military bases in the region.
The alleged involvement of Russian hackers intensifies concerns by US intelligence and law enforcement agencies that Russia continues to try some of the same cyber-hacking measures on US allies that intelligence agencies believe it used to meddle in the 2016 elections.

Which is interesting, considering this:

On Tuesday, Trump tweeted criticism of Qatar that mirrors that of the Saudis and others in the region who have long objected to Qatar's foreign policy. He did not address the false news report.
"So good to see the Saudi Arabia visit with the King and 50 countries already paying off," Trump said in a series of tweets. "They said they would take a hard line on funding extremism, and all reference was pointing to Qatar. Perhaps this will be the beginning of the end to the horror of terrorism!"
In his tweet, Trump voiced support for the regional blockade of Qatar and cited Qatar's funding of terrorist groups. The Qataris have rejected the terror-funding accusations.
Hours after Trump's tweets, the US State Department said Qatar had made progress on stemming the funding of terrorists but that there was more work to be done.

US and European authorities have complained for years about funding for extremists from Saudi Arabia and other nations in the Gulf region. Fifteen of the 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudi citizens.

Isn't it soooo weird how Trump always has an opinion when the Russians are meddling in the affairs of foreign governments?

Meh.

Let's begin.

Can you sleep at night fearing that KKK will come to your doorstep with noose?

Of course not. You are comparing individual acts of instanity and violence with an actual ongoing guerilla war. Even singling out "far right" (without being able to specify what that is) without mentioning, that majority politically motivated violence in the west is in fact commited by far left -that is being sponsored by state and universities.

But to your rhetorical question "how to not get stabbed".

Stop frequenting places with agitated people, learn how to be polite to strangers and if you still feel unsafe - wear a chainmail. It works.

LOL, where I live, the KKK might catch its issue. The natives of the county I reside in (Robeson) , the Lumbee Indians, literally ran out the bigoted white assholes a few decades ago. It's part of the historical record of this rich state, let me share Wink

http://www.ncpedia.org/history/20th-Century/lumbee-face-klan

Robeson County in the 1950s had a uniquely tri-racial population. There were about 40,000 whites, 30,000 Native Americans, and 25,000 African Americans, each group with its own separate school system. Although the Klan had typically targeted African Americans, in early 1958 a group led by James W. "Catfish" Cole of South Carolina began harassing the Lumbees. One of the crosses burned on the night of January 13 was on the lawn of a Lumbee family that had recently moved into a predominantly white neighborhood, while the other was intended to intimidate a Lumbee woman who was said to have been dating a white man. Not content to leave it at this, the Klan planned a rally in Robeson County to be held just a few days later.
The rally was scheduled for the night of January 18, 1958, in a field near Maxton, N.C. The stated purpose of the gathering was, in the words of Catfish Cole, "to put the Indians in their place, to end race mixing." The time and location of the rally was not kept secret, and word spread quickly among the local Lumbee population.

Reports vary about the number of people gathered on that cold night, but there were thought to have been around a hundred Klan members. They brought a large banner emblazoned with "KKK" and a portable generator, which powered a public address system and a single bare light bulb. When the meeting began, the arc of the dim light didn't spread far enough for the Klansmen to see that they were surrounded by as many as a thousand Lumbees. Several young tribe members, some of whom were armed, closed on the Klan meeting and tried to take down the light bulb. The groups fought, and a shotgun blast shattered the light. In the sudden darkness, the Lumbees descended upon the field, yelling and firing guns into the air, scattering the overmatched Klansmen. Some left under police protection while others, including Catfish Cole, simply took to the woods.

Good shit Wink

Anywho, why are these acts attributed to lone actors, instead of an ideological school? And before I use the term again ,let define the alt right, shall we Wink

https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/ideology/alternative-right

The Alternative Right, commonly known as the Alt-Right, is a set of far-right ideologies, groups and individuals whose core belief is that “white identity” is under attack by multicultural forces using “political correctness” and “social justice” to undermine white people and “their” civilization. Characterized by heavy use of social media and online memes, Alt-Righters eschew “establishment” conservatism, skew young, and embrace white ethno-nationalism as a fundamental value.

Let's explore each case:

1. Urbanski is a member of a Facebook group called "Alt-Reich," which spews hatred toward minorities "and especially African-Americans," University of Maryland Police Chief David Mitchell said.

2. In April, Christian was filmed and photographed doing a Nazi salute while shouting: "Die Muslims!" at an alt-right "free speech" rally.

In February 2016, Christian wrote, "Just to clarify a few things: 'I Hereby Solemnly swear to Die trying to Kill Hillary (Herself a filthy Murderess) Clinton and Donald Trump should they be elected to the post of President in my faire country on Vinland. This I swear to Odin, Kali, Bastet and all other Pagan Gods and Goddesses in my Aryan Theosophical Nucleus. This is my duty as a Viking and Patriot. In Jesus name....I Feel The Bern!!!!"
(hehe, he reminds me of yall a bit Wink )

3. He (James Jackson) was, he told the Daily News, a regular reader of the neo-Nazi website the Daily Stormer; on YouTube he subscribes to the channels of a vast assortment of alt-rightists and fellow travelers, from Hitler-worshiping revisionist “historians” who call themselves things like Esoteric Truth and the Impartial Truth to conspiracy-addled right-wingers like Alex Jones and the resolutely anti-feminist, anti-Muslim YouTube “philosopher” Stefan Molyneux. .

4. “Wade’s Facebook page outlines increasingly hostile statements and threats towards Muslims and African-Americans,” the East Bay Times reported. “On May 19, Wade posted a threatening racist statement concerning former President Barack Obama along with the gun emoji and the emoji of a man wearing a turban.” .

100 percent alt right, per their own admission. You can debate number 4, but I'm pretty sure he didn't vote Democrat.

Crazy stuff, huh? So, I still don't understand why this religious/ideological extremism is any different. People are dying, badly, because of a criminal organization that plainly seeks to propagate terror through public attacks. Be it ISIS, or AltReich. Call a spade a spade friend. Black lives certainly don't matter, but where is that 'all lives matter'? Surely 'these' victims of terror are just as important as 'those' victims of terror, no? Surely we are all equal as humans, in your world Wink

And that something else interesting you said, about leftist terrorism. The Government Office of Accountability doesn't seem to agree with you Sad

https://theintercept.com/2017/05/31/the-numbers-dont-lie-white-far-right-terrorists-pose-a-clear-danger-to-us-all/

http://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-17-300

“Since September 12, 2001,” noted a recent report prepared for Congress by the Government Accountability Office, “the number of fatalities caused by domestic violent extremists has ranged from 1 to 49 in a given year. … Fatalities resulting from attacks by far-right wing violent extremists have exceeded those caused by radical Islamist violent extremists in 10 of the 15 years, and were the same in 3 of the years since September 12, 2001.”

The report continues: “Of the 85 violent extremist incidents that resulted in death since September 12, 2001, far-right wing violent extremist groups were responsible for 62 (73 percent) while radical Islamist violent extremists were responsible for 23 (27 percent).” That’s a margin of almost three to one.

The report points out that “the total number of fatalities is about the same for far-right wing violent extremists and radical Islamist violent extremists over the approximately 15-year period,” with the latter edging out the former by 119 to 106. However, the report also acknowledges that “41 percent of the deaths attributable to radical Islamist violent extremists occurred in a single event — an attack at an Orlando, Florida night club in 2016.”
.

Eh, it's just a dumb government report right? Probably some deep.state bullshit.

And why should I have to wear chainmail? I pay taxes. Let's jail these motherfuckers, and shoot them, and do the same things that we would do to a radical Islamic terrorist. I mean, a terrorist is a terrorist, or are they only a terrorist when they aren't White?

1108  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Retarded propaganda against Russian and the alternative media is unjustifiable! on: June 06, 2017, 11:01:07 AM
I think we have to keep with common sense!

It's really, the big difference is between BTC TALK and FOX NEWS, BBC ,Al qaeda  etc

If you read the Politics forum here long enough, you will find there really isn't that much difference between BTCtalk and Fox, LOL. This shit gets positively 'StormFront'-rsque at times with the conspiracy theories, the faux Russian nationalism, and the Trump worship. This site can flop from CrooksandLiars liberal to Breitbart conservative on a good day, it's a clusterfuck here. But usually, predominantly conservative. Bitcoin demographic and such.

I take that back. Trump isn't a fan favorite across the whole of StormFront; seems his approval rating has slipped a bit after the Saudi deal.

LOL, when Neo Nazis don't like you, what the fuck is going on?
1109  Other / Politics & Society / How Not To Get Stabbed (Domestic Terror) on: June 06, 2017, 10:50:56 AM
 Let's begin.

Alright, I see many a foot shoved up a Muslim ass on this forum, especially of late. As I've stated earlier, ISIS and general extremist organisations have been having a prolific summer; the recent font of terror that has swept Europe and the Philippines recently is off the fucking chain.

But what I haven't seen is anyone talking about is the spout of domestic terror that's been going on this past month.

Besides the very recent Portland stabbings, we saw the College Park campus stabbing, and the NYC sword attack.* Three stabbings, people. They aren't just stabbing motherfuckers everywhere, you have to seek out a stabbing nowadays. It takes a special kind of crazy to wield a melee weapon, the shortest ones they make, in the land of a million guns. I digress.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/22/us/university-of-maryland-stabbing/index.html

http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/31/us/portland-train-stabbing-what-happened/

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4354674/New-York-sword-killer-charged-terrorism-stabbing.html

In every one of these cases, the perpetrator was a known while supremacist/alt right adherent. To be fair, there was a black guy also running around campus stabbing up random white folk.

https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2017/05/01/multiple-people-stabbed-ut-austin-campus

Not so much they are white supremacists as the fact that it was Facebook easy to find out. These guys are in gangs essentially, gangs that have forums and Facebook pages, pretty much just like ISIS.  If criminal affiliation is known to the public, why wasnt law enforcement doing anything about it? They just had a major gang round up across multiple cities about a week ago, but it only seemingly affected Black and Hispanic gang members (looking at the statistics, you would believe Whites dont participate in gangs, period)

Why does law enforcement treat these gangs, which they certainly are, so less seriously than online radicalized Muslims? We spend FBI resources cultivating some of our Islamic radicals (the lengths they go through to facilitate these guys in building their case is absurd). Why not spend resources investigating terror that you don't have to convince? And the amount of damage that could be caused by one of these actors is greater, because we don't question the role of Whites in White society. Arab with a backpack on near a public event, tackle his ass. White dude with a backpack near a public event, he's a 'backpacker' Wink

Do we downplay the seriousness of these attacks because of the race of the victims, or the race of the perpetrators?

Despite an uptick in far-right violence and the Trump administration’s plan to increase the Department of Homeland Security budget by 6.7 percent to US$44.1 billion in 2018, the White House wants to cut spending for programs that fight non-Muslim domestic terrorism.

The federal government has also frozen $10 million in grants aimed at countering domestic violent extremism. This approach is bound to weaken the authorities’ power to monitor far-right groups, undercutting public safety.

It's funny how terror is apparently a sometime thing, when it comes to race in America.

Thoughts?

*started writing this post before I went to bed. Woke up to yet another stabbing. And this wasn't the first time our friend had even stabbed anyone. Yet he slipped through the cracks somehow.

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/06/major-trump-supporter-accused-of-fatally-stabbing-black-man-following-bus-stop-political-argument/

A California supporter of President Donald Trump has been arrested for a possible racially motivated stabbing.

Phillip Wade, 38, of Antioch, California allegedly stabbed a black man multiple times after getting off a bus in Oakley on Saturday afternoon, according to the East Bay Times.

Wade apparently fatally stabbed a homeless veteran in 2013, while a 2011 stabbing also involved an altercation that carried over from public transit.
1110  Other / Politics & Society / Reality Lee Winner and The Intercept Leak on: June 06, 2017, 10:08:12 AM
Oh boy, oh boy oh boy Wink

Well, beyond the great many things that have happened recently, one of the least deadly yet most interesting events recently has been the Intercept leak of classified NSA documents detailing  interference by Russia.

https://theintercept.com/2017/06/05/top-secret-nsa-report-details-russian-hacking-effort-days-before-2016-election/

RUSSIAN MILITARY INTELLIGENCE executed a cyberattack on at least one U.S. voting software supplier and sent spear-phishing emails to more than 100 local election officials just days before last November’s presidential election, according to a highly classified intelligence report obtained by The Intercept.

The top-secret National Security Agency document, which was provided anonymously to The Intercept and independently authenticated, analyzes intelligence very recently acquired by the agency about a months-long Russian intelligence cyber effort against elements of the U.S. election and voting infrastructure. The report, dated May 5, 2017, is the most detailed U.S. government account of Russian interference in the election that has yet come to light.

But anywho, unlike the myriad other leaks plaguing the gov ATM, they identified the leaker almost immediately, mostly because the journalists who published the leak aren't too bright.

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/06/intercept-leaker-arrest-resulted-from-a-search-warrant-for-podcast-transcripts-not-classified-documents/

According to the application, the FBI was alerted to the dissemination of classified information after a reporter for The Intercept contacted a separate contractor for the U.S. Government, asking to verify the authenticity of the leak. Included in the reporter’s request was information related to the leaker’s location (Augusta, Georgia), and a photo of the document, which the contractor then forwarded to the FBI. In its application, the FBI maintains a “crease” in the document led the government to realize only one of six people had accessed the documents.

..
Winner is charged with removing classified material from a government facility and submitting it to a news outlet. She faces prosecution under the Espionage Act.

In a statement Monday, Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein praised the “exceptional law enforcement efforts” that allowed the FBI to “quickly to identify and arrest the defendant.”

As everything currently, interesting to say the least.  Wonder if this has anything to do with the 'bombshell'  that's supposedly going to be dropped on Wednesday (besides Comeys testimony).

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/06/nsa-director-mike-rogers-poised-to-drop-a-bomb-on-trump-admin-during-wednesday-testimony-msnbc/

Atlantic magazine writer Steve Clemons said during a Saturday panel on MSNBC’s “The Point with Ari Melber” that National Security Agency (NSA) Director Michael Rogers “may have a bomb to drop” on the Trump administration.

Rogers will testify Wednesday before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is currently investigating whether President Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with Russian officials to sway the results of the 2016 election.
.

This is getting real bigly real quick Wink

1111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A little bit of marketing would do wonders for bitcoin on: June 05, 2017, 09:39:00 PM
Exactly bro. It's very surprising why cryptocurrency developers don't do serious marketing outside of the cryptocurrency ecosystem like on Social Media , TV, Radio, etc. Am still trying to understand why this is so

I believe those advertisements don't come for free and so  whose pocket should the tv advertisements come from, and do if nobody will be willing to spend then I guess the adverts won't come on except maybe the ones in social media.

For all of the special.interest groups out there that would benefit from bitcoin going mainstream, a few advertising dollars is a small price to pay. We have people that were overnight millionaires from the expansion of BTC, kind of limiting if you can't spend a few more dollars to make yourself any even greater fortune.

We could get the Foundation to do it, but they have more pressing concerns Wink

We could use the forum fund, by now it should be just enough to make a three hour full length film about bitcoin starring Dwanye Johnson Wink
1112  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VOTE Are you offended by these police officers? on: June 05, 2017, 04:31:13 AM
It was an unfortunate incident. But I will give the benefit of the doubt to the cops. Perhaps they were unaware that the lady had schizophrenia. What you are supposed to do, when someone charges at you armed with a baseball bat?

Maybe not like, shoot them? I'm pretty sure a trained police officer should be able to handle a little old lady with a baseball bat. And even if she were Babe Ruth with that thing, I'm also pretty sure they could have restrained her, tased her, or even shot her non lethally. Basically, unless we are dealing with a trained, professional fighter in decent shape, firearm not= melee weapon. And this was a blunt, not a sharp.

If your mom got off her meds (hypothetical) or was startled awake by the sound of unknown men entering, and grabbed a bat to defend herself, well, I hope no one splatters her brain all over your living room carpet. You'll need new carpet, for one. New moms sold separately.

Edit: you mentioned a Taser in a later post. Still, stuff like this is a no brainer. Cops shouldn't be going into situations that passionately, and with that little situational awareness. If they were entering the residence, they should have been aware of who could possibly be there;; her condition would have been known and accounted for. The police behave like special forces nowadays is the problem. And the fact that they don't get prosecuted for shooting first.
1113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The next step to impeach Trump. on: June 05, 2017, 03:14:05 AM
I think that Russia's influence on American politics will melt very quickly, Even if it is not so. You can pay attention to France, where she lost to marylebone, and Russia again lost support in Europe. But Trump is a very odious politician and I think that we all will soon find out what's wrong and why there are so many scandals around her.

I really don't think that Trump is a puppet for the Russians and I really don't call hacking the DNC servers as meddling at all, the DNC are the ones at fault for sabotaging Bernie Sanders and that's why they lost the election.a

Exactly. If the primaries were conducted in a honest way, then Bernie Sanders would have won the Democrat nomination. But the establishment Democrats rigged the polls and declared Hillary as the winner. A number of Sanders supporters refused to vote in the main elections, and that is the reason why Hillary lost to Trump (especially in the rust belt states).

To everyone that is trying  to down play Russia, IE the last page or so, literally, what will it take to convince y'all that Russia interfered in the election, and Trump was aware? I hear some of the same posters espousing Clinton pedophile rhetoric and Obama Muslim rhetoric, are those rumors more believable than an ongoing FBI investigation that has seen the actual director of the FBI get fired, literally, to 'take the heat off'? Attribute the actions of the current administration to the former. Has Obama pulled any of this shit, not the perceived slights your party engenders but actual, demonstrable political errors with tangible repercussions like Trump? They would have hanged him. Stop giving Trump's behavior a pass because his beliefs seemingly align with yours, his actions do not. And that to me represents a deception.

I think a lot of our more radical posters may not realize the military doesn't have a lot of liberals in it. Those same 'snowflakes' and 'sjw' are typically ideologically opposed to war, you will find the military is a conservative organization.

https://www.quora.com/Why-is-the-American-military-overwhelmingly-conservative

The 'deep state' you guys would espouse would seemingly be composed of some of the staunchest, ass kickingest conservative hardliners this side of the Mason Dixon. Conservatives that would make Regan smile. Why would that set, and we are talking specifically about Trump era conservatives, let Hillary and Obama run around unchecked like that? All these super secret plots on Breitbart that you, a common citizen are aware of, yet the 'deep state' isn't aware of this and doing something about it?

Yet it would pull out all the stops to get Trump, who is squeaky clean by all accounts. Maybe the media is in Trump's ass because he fucking sucks, not because of the libruls and their fake media. Soros is real, yet the Koch Brothers aren't. Why would the deep state even associate with Soros, the architect of all conservative misery? For funding, no, for prestige, no; what does the most powerful organization in the world need from an American citizen?

Isn't it just easier to believe that it's not a plot to get you, and Trump is a fucking scumbag?

Did you really feel so marginalized by Obama being in office, that simply destroyig his legacy, despite the damage to society, is enough of a consolation?  If we denounce Obama, can Trump go away? The damage is real. The global shade is real. And the condemation  is final.

Yes, Spendelua, I'm done with my rant. You always pop up when I get into Trump's ass Wink

and no, not singling you out Sith, your post was the starting point of my argument, I got way off topic from what your were communicating.  I agree with you. Hillary was indeed a shit for subverting the primaries, a miscarriage of justice transcends partisanship. It made me think about the Clinton conspiracies, which made me wonder how that shit is more credible than Russian collusion. Nothing personal.

It has to do with the level of industrialization. A 2 year old is allowed to shit on the carpet, a 20 year old not. If you want to prevent certain countries from passing through industrialization then you have to offer them tech etc to do that.

http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2017/06/china-trump-paris-facts

What prevented these countries from going through the industrialization phase a few decades back? Now it is too late to allow any sort of industrial pollution and it doesn't matter whether these countries are industrialized or not.

This unfortunately can't be the case Sad as nation's tackle new industries, they go through growing pains that involve the environmental impact of the new industry and the regulations that will rush to fill the void. Simply producing infrastructure, say a major road installation, would require sooo much concrete and rebar to be manufactured. There is no clean way to make stuff like this; essentially, 'humanization' will always have an environmental impact. They can't stay pre industrial forever, so increased carbon footprint is essentially an inevitability of modernization. Unless you would have them remain primitive, eventually, industrialization and increased population will start to take its toll on the environment. These acords sought to address that; by setting proportional targets, nations could do what the they can to help the issue; the global effort by all state actors would have made a paradigm shift to move.the entire world towards more sustainable energy technologies.

Now, we will remain behind in this, and our reluctance to honor such an important agreement, that we helmed, will com into play down the line. We lost bargaining power, this will come up again when we sit down to negotiate something equally important. America bitched up, behind pating a tab. The richest nation of them all.

And the rest of the free world will embrace these technologies, just like bitcoin and China, while we languish with some goddamed coal.

Maybe we can sell coal to Syria and Nicaragua.

This issue with global warming is so tiring, pollution is very bad for the atmosphere and for human beings as well, These accords are not binding and there is no way to enforce it and it seems to be just a joke and I don't think it's going to work.

It is not so much the nature of the accord, than the fact that we broke the accord. We were the foremost voice on this; we dragged out negations and for us to suddenly walk away from the table is kind of weak. We lead by example; abandoning a piece of global legislature, so broad that only two countries disagreed, simply does not make sense. If the current administration were serious about environmental preservation, wouldn't the US walking away from something of this magnitude dissuade other nations to doing so? And the taling points on how it was a 'bad deal' for Americans is bullshit. We can prop up fucking coal, but we just turned our back on a better planet. and 100,000 more green energy jobs?

Bigly.
1116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people like Trump? on: June 03, 2017, 02:35:13 PM
Personally I dont like trump because of his attitude but All people have attitude but you cannot to see people what is your real attitude because you are president. And many young children see what trump doing. But I think why people love trump bevause they create more business in america because trumo is a business man and thats good for the economy of america.

The American economy has received a major boost ever since Trump was elected as the president of the United States. The stock markets are at all time highs, and a lot of companies have decided against moving their manufacturing operations overseas.

This something I have never understood about conservative politics.

Regulation is the devil, yet it's OK for Trump to say 'stay in America or else' to domestic business. It's clearly cheaper to move said operations overseas, as it's the most ubiquitous method. But despite all the rhetoric for unrestricted capitalism and small government, we have a POTUS singling out specific companies, specific CEOs., making tax concessions and threats.

It's like every time they pass a wildly unpopular piece of legislation that makes the news, we hear 'States rights'. Abortion? States right. Healthcare? The same. But that state's rights shit dries up quickly when you start discussing  marijuana, immigration, any of the old foes of the GOP.
1117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think ISIS uses Bitcoin? on: June 02, 2017, 04:39:39 PM
There is no question. DAESH is known to have used BTC. But there are very few in the "caliphate" who would know how. They have there own currency anyway. Apparently they are gold bugs.

DAESH Coins in gold, silver, and cooper.

This. You would have to be a fool not to use bitcoin in this particular scenario. The virtual anonymity should buy one enough time to do whatever nefarious thing they were going to do with the money, ESP if they are using strawmen to convert the btc to whatever currency they use. But have no doubt, beyond the fact that it has been reported that cryptocutrencies are being used to facilitate terror, it just makes sense. Bitcoin is about the most perfect way to launder/move illicit funds across borders. You can't move the amount of money you need to fund a war machine, without blipping on someone's radar.

I have just noticed that the ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. But the identity of the attacker is not known as of now, and the cops are denying that Islamists are behind the attacks.

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/06/02/asia/manila-philippines-resort-world-isis/index.html

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the ISIS was indeed behind the attack. Even previously, they have specifically targeted facilities which are popular with the tourists. The attack on Reina nightclub in Istanbul is a perfect example.

To be fair to the police, they'll be having a hard time identifying the charred remains. I'm surprised they haven't really released the CCTV footage yet. Or at least, I haven't seen it in the news.

I'm agreeing with your assessment that thisight be a ploy to extenuate your state of martial law.

No reason why they should downplay ISIS links, it wouldn't reflect poorly on your government (I can't think of any policy  recently implemented that one could attribute this too).  I'm amazed that casino security couldn't take out a lone gunman. Over here, the Italian Mob still has its finger in the casino industry, this guy would have died poorly, and quickly. I think I heard that a lot of women died in a bathroom from smoke inhalation. That's beyond the pale of odd, that means they were barricaded in. Panicked females are a force of nature. No way in hell they stayed put while they died; they were prevented from leaving.

Why would he do this? Doesn't seem like a robbery, but doesn't seem quite like a terrorist attack. Something is off with this one.

And if he could get his hands on an M4, his knowledge of situational awareness is beyond mine. No soldier of fortune, or opportunist with experience, would have taken this job.

About the recent attack in Resorts World 36 were died in the incident but it wasn't because of gun shot. It was due to suffocation.

Terrorism is becoming more worst in the Philippines now. Even the government says they are almost in control in Marawi City. I'm afraid that terrorist would just moved and target another place.

38 dead now. The authorities said they are ruling out terrorism because the man stole chips. They're not being truthful to us.

So do they really think we'll believe that the man went in there, fired multiple rounds at guests and then set himself on fire for casino chips? This government has always taken us for retards but this is just extreme. That they haven't released more details about the attacker is particularly telling.

I'm sorry y'all are dealing with this man. I just echoed your sentiments an a different post, I'm way confused why the authorities are playing the terrorism angle so close to chest, to the point of lying (ISIS just claimed this, according to CNN). Am I reading correctly that a SECOND attack, one other than the casono, is/was occuring?

My prayers are with you and your people.

Prayers for those who died. One of my friend witnessed that and by looking at her while telling me the story, she is really frightened and traumatized. It's only few miles away from my workplace.

There are lots of questions revolving around the incident, is it destabilization? terrorism? or just a person who have a grudge to the casino that maybe got loss in the past? I will follow the story.

ISIS claimed this, just now (RSS just bilpped). Trump actually got this one right, and I will comment that ISIS is putting up fucking MCDonald's numbsrs this year. I had a feeling about this, that the police were wrong. If I came to resort to rob chips, you wouldn't know. You don't strongarm a casino, coming out with kills immediately is not the way you rob something like this. And not by oneself, you would need a team for something like this.

God preserve these people and their families. More tragedy, its getting worse people. Its not just this, the terrorism. We are sliding down, across the board. Maybe Im not old enough, but Ive never seen anything like this.
