1381  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Donald Trump Can Do With North Korea - Melania Is In New York Now on: April 19, 2017, 02:00:09 PM
Amazing people you are Russian. How can it be so that the life becomes worse, and the economy is growing. I guess you're just victims of propaganda. Sanctions do not act immediately, but they start a destructive tool and you will feel a few years after they are canceled. Unless of course they cancel. The Russian behavior is very similar to the behavior of North Koreans. Maybe because they are also Communists?

Have you ever been to Russia? The western media paints a picture of Russia where the parents struggle to feed their children. Come out of the media mirage. If you want to see such scenarios, then you don't need to go too far. As per the latest reports, close to 60% of the Ukrainians are starving.
I am very often in Ukraine and Russia. If you compare the standard of living in the big cities the fact is it is a little higher than in Ukraine, but if you compare the standard of living in small towns and villages that people live better in Ukraine. Besides, the prices for food in Ukraine are lower and there is no hunger. I don't know how to conduct such research in the UN, but it seems to me that they are not correct.

Yes, they give false information. In Russia and Ukraine there are many natural resources for the cultivation of animals and plants, they simply can not starve. I would rather believe that in Africa they are starving.

Bullshit. May be some regions, but besides the low per capita income, sanctions have slashed the value of the ruble. They have some natural resources, but agricultural exports have sucked since the Soviet Union collapsed. Farms lost subsidy; it's taken a while to recover as a national market. They have the land, the Climate as well, but the infrastructure is lacking. And this wasn't always the case, the state sponsored model was pretty efficient.

1382  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kim Jong-Un opens skyscraper complex in Pyongyang on: April 19, 2017, 01:53:09 PM
Chinese people like to travel to DPRK.

Probably ethnic Koreans from China. There is a very large Korean community in North-east China numbering close to 2 million. There is even an autonomous area designated for these people in China, known as the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.
In recent years, the national self-image of Chinese Koreans influenced by the intensive development of relations of China with the Republic of Korea (not to be confused with North Korea). This country perceive China as an example to follow, so that Chinese Koreans are proud of their national roots. Equally important is the fact that from South Korea to China sent more than 10% of all South Korean exports. China is currently the second largest (after the USA) the South Korean investments. Do you think they will support Kim Jong-UN?

For the Chinese, the political goals are more important than the economic goals. The Chinese would never prefer the South Korean regime over the North Koreans, because South Korea is one of the most important allies of United States in the region. In addition to that, Chinese companies own most of the mines and other businesses in North Korea. The Chinese government want this to continue in the long term.

I have to agree. They don't want us to have a stable footing in the region (they get nervous whenever US assets get too close to a Chinese 'border'. They have dragged their feet in this when it has been clear that an economic sanction from their biggest trading partner might have more effect. But it seems they enjoy the uncertainty that the situation brings, I guess they don't have alot to lose until NK get a regime change. And now that it's actually on the table, notice the line against NK from China has gotten slightly harder.
1383  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It became known why Trump bombed Syria. on: April 19, 2017, 01:48:29 PM
If Iran and the DPRK succeeds in building nuclear weapons (It seems to me that the North Koreans have already succeeded in doing it), then the blame must fall on the United States. The arrogance of the Americans is the reason why more and more countries are pursuing nuclear ambition now.

Well, if you have nukes and something what can take it to US soil, then even the US will politely knock on your door instead of kicking it in and bringing you love, freedom, democracy in 500 lbs packages (or sometimes 21600 lbs packages if their Viagra stock running low). So yes, having nukes and rockets is a lucrative option for everyone who have natural resources what the US might need, I guess.

LOL, I nevered considered this, but you have a point. NK is kind of resource batren, I believe we get rare earths from them. But, a deterrent is a deterrent; what's good for the goose is good for the gander. But with that being said, nukes where a can of worms we should have never opened, as humans. For the collateral damage this technology causes, nukes should be banned across the board. But this won't happen; I'm a realist Wink no way US or Russia is lowering the gun first.
1384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump: Buy America, Hire America on: April 19, 2017, 01:42:14 PM
Similar policies exist in most of the world nations, and why the Americans should be the exception? American workers should be given the preference for work inside the United States. The US can't be charitable to the rest of the world, when the reverse is not true.

Agree.that we deserve the same as everyone else, and charity starts at home. But the fact of the matter is we don't have the infrastructure to produce alot of the shit  we make, because we don't have access to cheap factory labor like China, and the lack of regulation over there lowers operating costs, making for cheap, exportable products. We won't be able to afford our own products if we switch over to purely American product sourcing lines. And given the amount of infrastructure Trump is planning to build, do we have the production capacity to accommodate this new strategy?  Hire American, I have no complaints against. Fucking right, hire American. It's America. But buy American, not so inspired, in my eyes.

For an experiment, check something out for me. Wait for peaches and plums to come in this season, in supermarkets. The lack of immigrants crossing the border now, and this terrible, terrible growing season (we still haven't planted this year) will make this produce expensive as all get out. Mark my words. And this will be alot of other crops as well, ESP the Cali fruit crops and organic veggies. I'm all for change, but there are consequences.

All that labor intensive hydro lettuce grown in greenhouses? Harvested by immigrants, and highly perishable.

Tomatoes too.

I think there more along the lines of executive branches having to use this when buying equipment and such, I don't think they'd be going down to the nitty gritty with food but I do understand your argument on a massive scale when talking about the entire country switching to this model.

I understand your argument pretty easily but I wouldn't want to make the taxpayers feels as if the money that they worked hard for is going to be helping to support a Chinese factory making goods for the American gov, I think they'd rather know that their money is going to work in reigniting the US economy.

In theory it sounds wonderful, we'll have to see how it plays out though.

That's my bad, I kinda switched tone in the middle from talking about construction materials/equipment to consumer products.  Good catch. But, there are alot of components we don't make, that we will still have to outsource. Hopefully we adapt, new production lines or adapting old ones. With how much we import, I feel like we will exhaust the production capacity of certain commodities here. But, I'm not an economist. Will research this a bit more today, have a more informed opinion.

Yeah, he apparently blocked the cell, and managed to hang himself with a set of sheets. This, while in general population. It's a bit odd, the timing, but you can't make this shit up.

Seriously, suicide a few days after getting acquitted? Double head stratch.

what if someday when bitcoin has become the main payment instruments in the world. and how when the Internet network paralyzed. it means that we all can not perform various financial transactions? , is there any solution ?

The only solution is not to let this things happen,we need fiat and we also need bitcoin, let them co exist because it benefits all of us,I don't want bitcoin to be the main payment processor of the world, because the internet here in our country is very slow.

Amen. Cash and digital currency/stored value are two different beasts, and serve completely different functions. .a bit of a maximalist, but I never want us to go.completely cashless. There are too many benefits, and I like the privacy cash provides from an increasingly intrusive government.
1387  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who are ILLUMINATI and whats their aim? on: April 19, 2017, 03:12:07 AM
Mostly they are children of Satan and other demons, they born from incest, their main goal is to occupy people's minds and hearts for worldly desires.
They are the lost ones truly lost their way and walking in dark paths, they're the ones who changed bible and other holy books sent before it but couldn't ever change Quran, they simply want you to only think about this world.

But as long as you believe in one true God the creator of everything you'll see that there is nothing that could exist and be without his knowledge and that as long as you ask for his help only and only you need nothing else.

Also they have created-helped for ISIS to establish to weaken Syria and then go for Iran and now they are even trying to go for north Korea.

They're the ones that heard and listened the truth but said "we don't care and we'll do whatever we want" so as you can see they're doing whatever they want, but when they're presented to the ever lasting fire there are 19 agents of hell asking them and their followers "did you hear and listened what God sent by prophets as holy books?" their followers then say "yes we did but our bosses and masters promised us something else and they gave us whatever we wanted in the world, can we please go back once more to repent and do good?" lol

They are not the children of Satan, they are just gorged oligarchs who want to rule the whole world because it is profitable for them and to subordinate all people to themselves.

You get a cookie, good job Wink

These people serve evil, but unknowingly. These are people that follow their desires, despite the consequences to others. In rejecting the Lord's path, they turn to the Other and assist his end, but I don't think that this is the intention. They chase ungodly ideas believing they know better than the Creator, and use their power to shape their world into what they believe it should be. In other words, pride.

And we all know where pride gets us Wink

TLDR; replace Satan Spawn with 'entitled, rich assholes'.

Exactly, it's like we forgot that for the past few decades, we have been no friend of Russia. But, since the election, most of the American public, and all of the GOP, seem to have forgotten this fact. After the Russian role in the election is fully revealed, Russia will again be a badbadnotgood.

After a year nobody can describe even a mechanism by which 'Russia interfered with the election.'  Indeed, nobody even tries.  All I see are some nebulous attempts to imply that some media platforms (e.g., RT) allowed some political stories which were negative about one political party (never mind that they tended to be perfectly true.)

To the extent that there was any genuine hacking into the election infrastructure itself, it looks fairly clear that it was Obama's DHS by a quick peak at the IP address information.  Some states called the feds out on the attacks.  It's also fairly clear that the vote tabulation systems are flawed by design at a variety of points.

I actually really like the idea that American politicians should be held to a standard of having only transparent conversations with 'non-American entities'.  That would include ALL other nation states, all media outlets, all tax exempt foundations and NGOs, all corporations, and all individuals who hold citizenship in any other country.  Going after anyone who had anything to do with Russia or anyone who was a Russian sets a precedent that could and should apply to very many other entities.

We differ on this, but it's hard to explain my position if you don't heed any of the mainstream media sources. I read both sides, from Fox/Breitbart to Politico/Rawstory. I want as many details as possible.

I do feel that the emails being released did cost Hilary x number of votes. She deserved it, whatever, but we both have to agree that at least say, 100 people changed their voting outcome because of that revalation. Even though that is statistically insignificant, it was an effect. Can we both say at least 5 percent of Hilary voters turned? Even at 1 percent, this is still a whole lot of people. That, in my opinion, is a tainted result. And that doesn't speak to the effect of the bots on social media platforms; some people take social.media as a straight up news source. If they did this, and it seems like they did, I'm saying they didn't half step, they did this right. They wouldnt risk global outrage without the trade off being worth it. And we have other intelligence agencies giving us (US intell) Intel they deemed suspicious about Trumps guys. Unbidden. So the communications were so suspicious that our allies felt the need to point them out.
If it matters, our intelligence agencies have all agreed Russia participated.in a state sponsored effort to change the results of the election. Also, it all leaks so far, but the leaks suggest that Trumps surrogates had contact with Russian intelligence agents, without declaring said communications. Anything else I would point out is admitted hearsay, there are a few more kernels of truth to pick out. From one wizened head to another, I really think we will find Trump reached out to get assistance from Russia with the election. Trumps ties to the Russian underworld (check it out) make me more inclined to believe the whispers, those are actual facts. This is actually the reason why the thing about Obama wiretapping cropped up, they were indeed surveiling the tower, but becuase they were eavesdropping on the disproportionate amount of mafia figures residing in the hotel. Which is suspicious.

What source are your using to make the claim that Russia did something to influence the election?  I think this is a fake news story from Hillary camp since last November.  It started a few minutes after Hillary realized she lost the election she was told was rigged to make her win by a pre determined number.  In fact the number was reversed to send a clear message to Hillary..

Maybe you really think the Russians did something so can you please cite or source your claim?  Thanks!

This is the most official thing I could find, but do know this is a popular opinion amoung the non Trump camp. We see the fact that this investigation has kept going on for so long despite Comey being decidedly partisan (read Hillary email disclosure). If there was nothing, we wouldn't be hearing about it still.

This is a statement from
https://www.dni.gov/index.php/newsroom/press-releases/215-press-releases-2016/1423-joint-dhs-odni-election-security-statement

I don't know how.you feel about Wikipedia. In this case they are citing Senate testimony, here is the link to the article..it is seemingly non partisan, but maybe I am not the best judge. See for yourself.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_United_States_elections

Let me.cite a bit for the sake of ease:

December 2016 CIA report
On December 9, the CIA told U.S. legislators the U.S. Intelligence Community had concluded, in a consensus view, that Russia conducted operations to assist Donald Trump in winning the presidency, stating that "individuals with connections to the Russian government", previously known to the intelligence community, had given WikiLeaks hacked emails from the DNC and John Podesta.[61] The agencies further stated that Russia had hacked the RNC as well, but did not leak information obtained from there.[62] These assessments were based on evidence obtained before the election.[63] According to an unnamed official, the intelligence community did not believe that Moscow’s efforts altered the outcome of the election.

Now before you comment on the fact they concluded there was no effect, understand that this is dated, and the investigation was reopened and is still.in progress. Which is.what I mean about it being interesting this is still going on. This apparently warranted a second look.

Next cite:
During a House Intelligence Committee hearing in early December, the CIA said it was certain of Russia's intent to help Trump, but the FBI said "it’s not clear that they have a specific goal or mix of related goals".[75] On December 16, 2016, CIA Director John O. Brennan sent a message to his staff saying he had spoken with FBI Director James Comey and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and that all agreed with the CIA's conclusion that Russia interfered in the presidential election with the motive of supporting Donald Trump's candidacy.[76]

January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment
On January 6, 2017, after briefing the president, the president-elect, and members of the Senate and House, U.S. intelligence agencies released a de-classified version[83] of the report on Russian activities. The report asserted that Russia had carried out a massive cyber operation ordered by Russian President Putin with the goal to sabotage the 2016 U.S. elections. The agencies concluded that Putin and the Russian government tried to help Trump win the election by discrediting Hillary Clinton and portraying her negatively relative to Trump, and that Russia had conducted a multipronged cyber campaign consisting of hacking and the extensive use of social media and trolls, as well as open propaganda on Russian-controlled news platforms.[84] A large part of the report was dedicated to criticizing Russian TV channel RT America, which it described as a "messaging tool" for the Kremlin.[85]

There is alot more of this. You don't have to take it from Wikipedia if you don't want to, I understand the mistrust of that particular source, but these are jumping off points.for independent research (the best kind). I'm not trying to lie.to you guys, or deceive. Being sincere, it truly looks fishy to me. With that being said, I don't believe in a nefarious 'deep state'. I do believe it exist, and if it does, it is most likely conservative (military types tend toward conservatism, can we agree?) But it serves the country, not a party. It literally exist at the behest of the country. Please believe.I understand they do some amazingly fucked up shit, in the name of security. But this is directed outward, not one of the myriad plots to.militarize society (different conversation).

I look forward to seeing Trump's supporters hailing him as a genius for lying to all of his suppprters to win the presidency. They will claim that they knew all along and were just going along with it for appearances sake. Because they, like Trump, really had something completely different in mind for his presidency. They will not reveal what that plan is until Trump executes it of course. But afterwards they will hail him as a great businessman that fooled everyone (except his supporters because they knew).

You can see that happening already. After Syria bombing, middle finger to Russia, moving aircarrier to NK... The only promise he may fulfill is the boarder wall with Mexico. he disappointed a lot of people tho and many, many people are starting to doubt him.. but hey, I'd rather have him than Hillary.

Nope. Hillary would have been far worse. She would have triggered a war with Russia, and it might have progressed in to a world war. I am still willing to give the benefit of doubt to Trump. Perhaps he is doing this just to improve his approval ratings.
Trump during election campaign did not hide the fact that he wants to increase the defence budget of America. How to do it without war? I'm sure Trump will continue to fight to maintain the importance of the army and the military-industrial complex. The Democrats are less aggressive.

During the election, Hillary was more aggressively talking about using military force. Against Russia, the enemy, as I recall.
This is ridiculous of course, but Hillary Clinton just spoke about the opposition of Russia, but in fact we all remember that the Obama administration did nothing to stop Putin and Trump talked about his friendship with Putin, but his actions more aggressive.

Exactly, it's like we forgot that for the past few decades, we have been no friend of Russia. But, since the election, most of the American public, and all of the GOP, seem to have forgotten this fact. After the Russian role in the election is fully revealed, Russia will again be a badbadnotgood.

There is no excuse to use drugs. For me it is acceptable to use drugs only in those cases when a person is terminally ill and in pain, but it should do the doctor. In all other cases the drugs are poison. I am very concerned about the talk about the legalization of all drugs.

Do you drink, smoke, or eat fast food in America? Or use a doctor prescribed mood regulator?

Welcome to the club, buddy.

First off, the opium problem didn't start with Mexico, folks. You can thank your local doctor for that. There has been an aggressive push to over prescribe opiates in certain parts of the country. Check the rates at which they dole this shit out; there was a county somewhere that had prescribed enough painkillers that every citizen should have gotten a few hundred.

Problem is, doctors aren't dealers, for the long run, at least. After the patient would run out of opiates, they would turn to the illegal market to keep up the habit. THIS made the cartels make a choice; sell pot, which folks can grow themselves (quality has gone up, Mex import pot is declass now) or sell an odorless, easier to transport substance that's more expensive?

Also, while I approve that we are helping addicts instead of incarcerating them with this, where was all this rehabilitation shit during the crack epidemic? Black folks ate a long legal dick during the crack epidemic. We locked their asses up, and filled the prisons with a generation of addicts. No talk of solving the problem, we were 'tough on crime' back then.

Kinda like now, under Sessions. But you will never see the massive uptick of inmates behind this, like in the 80s. Now that the demographic of addition has shifted (white, rural rather than black, urban), so have the treatment priorities.

I was really angry when I saw this in my feed. Fights with gf, goes out shooting at random people. Hoping he'll get chased down and mowed a bit (not to much though, BLMers might cry out that it's too cruel). Then have him locked up, never to see the light of day or anyone.

Fingers crossed he takes a few bullets himself and bleeds out on the floor in as much pain as possible.

No. That's giving him what he wanted - death by cops. Maybe it's some fetish or something. Dude's crazy, all this because of a fight with his gf. I propose to have him locked up for life, hooked to a machine to harvest his blood.

dude are you like a vampire or something?

LOL  Grin When I think of criminals that are too evil to just execute, I think of hooking them to machines like in Daybreakers. I know, we should be at least trying to rehabilitate criminals, but some are just too evil to release or put on death row. Killing them would just be a release from their pathetic existencee. At least having their blood harvested, they were contributing something good for society, something they probably wouldn't be doing on their own.

Now if you want to be particularly evil like them, you can have them hooked to the machine for a certain number of years and then after that execute them and harvest the organs. Even the most fearless criminal would probably not want that fate (unless they actually also happen to be stupid like those guys that upload their criminal act). Hopefully that would deter them from committing heinous crimes.

I thought this was severe until you explained it Wink  that blood is pretty valuable; should offset the cost of care and provide a vital medical function. I'd leave the organs; health outcomes vs economic status and it'd resemble current death row if you killed them. But, no problem with this otherwise.

I'm black, and the average black person around me has condemned this soundly. This could be anyone's grandpa, this guy was literally walking back from Easter dinner, collecting cans. We can't have fucking animals like this running around.  And over some fucking female?

It's obvious fact that Putin and Russian leaders wanted Trump to defeat Clinton in presidential election.
Russians even helped Trump to win.
The Russians forgotten about Trump's unpredictability and the fact that he still has to primarily protect the interests of domestic lobbies, companies, interest groups etc.
After all, Trump is American president, not Russian president Smiley
With Clinton and Obama things were predictable and expected.
With Trump, you never know what can happen.
It seems that the Russians are now beginning to understand it and realized their misjudgment about Trump.

you believe in propaganda too much, are you serious about Putin or russians "helping" Trump to win the elections?
russians didn't want Clinton to become the next(last) america's president as the political course was pretty clear and it could only mean inevitable war
and not between Russia and US but between China and US
but Russia never had any leverages or intent to "help" Trump
it is like blaming the neighbour I don't like for failing my exams just because he looked at me the wrong way a day before

Propaganda? So you are saying official reports from all our intelligence and domestic law enforcement agencies involved that have clearly said they interferred, are propoganda?

There is no way we would have even mentioned a trade war with China, under Hillary. You would have seen a continuation of the last 8 years of China foreign policy, which is pretty hands off. We would never engage them militarily (even over those contested waters).

Why do you think it's taking so long to complete the FBI investigation? Wink Heads will roll, but not Trumps. They will protect the king til the end of the game. Bit now that the supreme Court seat has been filled, his usefulness with the GOP is running out. If he keeps playing with NK and Syria, Russia will become more vocal. He is losing friends at a pretty decent clip.

You people have heard about ILLUMINATI.They are blamed for confusions in today's world. What their main aim?
First of all, we can not know what they are doing and what not. I can not agree with you that they are to blame for present state of the world because there is not enough evidence for that. As far as i know Illuminati are group of people who seek knowledge. But its funny to say that there are to blame for world state we are in now. Even if they still exist, there are other secret societies that have good part of playing with world situation...

While I will concede that there are organizations out there that have an overarching, sinister aim, I don't believe they are that effective. There are very few example of monolithic evil in real life. It tends to break down when you start examining the motivations of individual actors, rather than the whole .some of the intentions in the group will be at odds with others.

What more closely resembles the Illuminati is the political lobbying system. That is a perfect example of a monolithic interest, a freaking industry having political personhood and the ability to influence policy.

God created us out of love and mercy you should be thankful and obey His commands(follow the path which He sent as holy books)do you think you have any chance standing against the will of the one who has created all the universe? 1 blow from the sun would wipe us all from existence.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Do you think that's fair?

Because someone supposedly created you, does that person have the right to impose your wills on you?

It is not right. The Bible with all the commandments was written by people in order to subordinate others to themselves, as it is profitable for them. You need to think with your head, and do not tell the tricks.

Most Christians (self included) believe said writing is divinely inspired, not the actual works of the writer's themselves.

And The Lord does not impose his Will on you. Far from it. You have absolute free will, tempered with the free will of others.

Satan being allowed to run amok should demonstrate the concept of free will.

1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If YOU were Satoshi, what would you do now? on: April 13, 2017, 01:57:07 AM
If I were Satoshi, I would try to find ways to decentralize other areas of everyday living & break up monopolies which hinder human progress and innovation.

Energy markets could benefit from decentralization.

Food production also.

There are many areas of life which could benefit by being more decentralized other than currency.

If I were Satoshi, given the present state of things, I would keep my head in the sand. There is too much going on in the bitcoinosphere ATM to add the sensation this would breed. It would hinder, not help, at least right now. He should stay water until after the ETF (if ever) gets approved), and we figure out scaling.

There is proof that He is still using AsicBoost. Jihan Wu, in my and many others' opinions, is a dirt ball.

Legally, he is allowed to use AsicBoost.

Why do you feel he is a dirt ball?

Of course, legally he is allowed to use it, there are no laws against it. He is using it, and not passing the gains to the miners.

" The assertion is that Bitmain is not only blocking a technical solution favored by the Core developers (through its support of alternative development teams), but doing so because it would enhance its profitability at the expense of users." http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoins-new-controversy-asicboost-allegations-explained/

AsicBoost cause the network problems.

If ASICboost can be determined to have caused damage to other miners (through suppression/ hindering of the network) and affected their profitability, than there may be the possibility of litigation in a civil court. It wouldn't be a stretch to prove that he caused damage to other miners to maximize profits, and if they didn't pass on the extra earnings to participating pools,.then depending on the contractual agreement, that could be fraud.
