5641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who really uses bitcoin? on: August 12, 2016, 03:01:03 PM
90 % of young people in my country use bitcoin as primary method for internet payment .
Tell me about your country and your reliable source is supporting your statements or you're just making a joke in this place, at the same time is spamming because you're reviving the old outdated topic. Tongue
Exactly. I can't really accept that statement since even though bitcoin is popular, it's not really that popular, even for the young people. In our country though, I can only estimate roughly 5-15% of our total population have any interest in bitcoin and not all of them are even bitcoin users, just interested.
5642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blockchain.info Commercial Ad on: August 12, 2016, 02:50:01 PM
   Did you saw this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_W-7hd4T2I

Amazing commercial, I didn't saw nothing similar before. This is good way for promoting bitcoin and blockchain, we need more commercials like this for people who still didn't hear about blockchain. I like this commercial, and I shared it on my Facebook page right away, this is my little contribution for bitcoin community. I think everyone should do it!
Thank you for sharing. I was searching for such a video for my office colleagues. Videos are very much effective for spreading bitcoins to rest of the world but unfortunately we find very few resources for this purpose.

but I would not recommend blockchain.info to store any relevant amount of bitcoins.
They're pretty secure, and I have a pretty substantial amount of bitcoin on their site. You shouldn't store large amounts of bitcoin on any service at all, I suggest getting a cold wallet for that.
5643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *warning* Two current security issues with mobile devices on: August 12, 2016, 02:40:23 PM
Besides that, phones are generally easy to hack and highly vulnerable to attacks, especially when connected to a public wifi. A certain hacker that sets up a public wifi can easily access all information stored in a phone so having a wallet used for long term storage in a phone is highly unadvisable.
5644  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ Bitcards.us ] - Buy gift cards at a cheaper rate ! on: August 11, 2016, 07:28:10 PM
There are places that does the exact same thing, what is the difference between you as a new business that does it and them the business that already established themselves as solid places?

Mainly gyft does this and they established themselves long before bitcoin was a thing they just added bitcoin as a payment, you are selling stuff right now they have been doing it for years.

I suggest you do some sort of marketing campaign if you want to get heard among all this crowd.
5645  Economy / Services / Re: need some in the US to post an empty box and send me tracking code, ASAP on: August 11, 2016, 07:19:32 PM
I will Send you a Box with tracking. Contact me. I ship international with my online business all the time.
Sending an empty box from US can lead to unexpected incidents like facing many security breaching questions.
I guess once he hires you for this, he will ask you to put something illegal or some explosive maybe, by meeting you in parcel office. So, be careful.
5646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting people to use Bitcoin- ideas on: August 11, 2016, 06:39:51 PM
How about you make this one as a pinned post? https://youtu.be/1_W-7hd4T2I

This ad would clearly help people on knowing what bitcoin is, and if someone asks them about bitcoin, they can just show them this video too and so on and so forth. This is a really good public material that we needed.
5647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Were can you buy bitcoin? on: August 11, 2016, 06:24:34 PM
It will depend on which country you are living in which exchange is user friendly for you, as I am buying it from localbitcoins since I am into bitcoin, and all the traders are trusted people and there is no chance of getting scammed.
I guess, no matter which country you are from, you always will be able to buy bitcoins from localbitcoins.com.
It is one of the most trusted site I have come across. Most of the exchanges also offer bids for buying bitcoins. You can choose which best suits for you.
5648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is decentralized.Really?! on: August 11, 2016, 04:49:01 PM
This is actually the hole about decentralization.
If a person/group with enough power/money actually goes and tries to hoard in 51% of supply and mining power, then it would be centralized to them as they would have the most influence to move the value either up or down.
5649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best casino for invest ? on: August 10, 2016, 09:18:58 PM
The investment return is very dangerous. The problem with investing in gambling casinos is two fold.

First, you should be worried about not getting hacked, even exchanges who can keep most of their coins in a cold wallet lose rest when they get hacked. Think about a gambling business which has to put as many in the bankroll as possible to provide more coins to whales and when they get hacked.

The other reason is a whale coming in and winning big, which means they may cost the casino a lot or maybe lose a lot but thats a risk.

So, what you as the investor to a gambling ANY gambling business is that, hope they don't get hacked, hope a whale won't bite down the profit. Otherwise house always wins in the long run.
5650  Economy / Gambling / Re: All Jackpots and comps @ btcdragon.info on: August 10, 2016, 09:09:23 PM
I just visited the website and did not understand what it is for. The web page looks like a free blog, I suggest you fix the design first. You should fix the purpose of this site as well.
The website should be more clear and easy to understand, a bad interface is always a problem when it comes to acquiring more users.
5651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Control the Future Value of Bitcoin on: August 10, 2016, 08:47:04 PM
I think best way to increase the value of bitcoin is adoption.
If all big companies takes bitcoin it means we are as close to living only with bitcoin without fiat in our life as possible, if that day comes that people can live (comfortably of course , because there are people living with bitcoin but there somethings that I can't pay with btc yet here) with bitcoin only and not look for bitcoin accepted places because they are everywhere then the bitcoin price will increase. Also if there are good news about it rather than silk road and hacks and so on that would help as well.
5652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the blockchain ultimately have more potential? on: August 09, 2016, 06:46:15 PM
Blockchain is being used by some big corporations already, I am not sure how much bitcoin will be used worldwide but I can assure you the blockchain technology will be the next logical step in many applications and transactions required things in business world, not long time from now but it already started and especially huge wall street investment guys will be using this in no time which will just have dripping effect and everyone will be using it before 2020, the technology is amazing and it works for a lot of things, can't be missed.
5653  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptostocks wallet offline? on: August 09, 2016, 06:26:28 PM
Its too early to say that your Coins are lost. Getting a Wallet offline can also means that they have taken the services down due to maintenance.
But your fear can not be neglected as we have seen whats happen last week with bitfinex. Let us hope everything become OKay this time for your case.

5655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you be happy repeatedly flipping a coin with an opponent to gamble? on: August 02, 2016, 10:12:16 AM
I will not be happy with this because the odds are even. There will be no winner in this in the long run and it will be stupid to play a game for money without any winner. I will rather watch TV. Cheesy
Actually if you say and actually people believe so then the dice sites would have been clean and no one playing.
The main problem with this idea of coin flipping is that you get bored very soon and on the other hand dice we can change % of winning and hence is not so boring.
5656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: August 02, 2016, 09:59:30 AM
Just always remember the Law of Supply & Demand Smiley , when fewer bitcoins are available the ones that are left will be in higher demand, and therefore will have a higher value. So, as Bitcoins are lost, the remaining bitcoins will eventually increase in value to compensate. As the value of a bitcoin increases, the number of bitcoins required to purchase an item decreases.

There is a law like that? Well then thank you for that. I am still looking for some answers with what could happen and I think you hit the spot.
I think all people are know about the law of supply and demand, if no one spend bitcoin i think the demand going to high but the supply is decreasing because not all mining farm is fast to mine bitcoin then it is good for the user who hoard a lot of bitcoin because the value is going to high if that will happen.

Yes its all about the supply and demand law. If no ones uses or spending bitcoin in future the price of bitcoin would gradually increase since the demand is there and the supply decreases since others also said that miners isnt fast enough to cope up the demand thats why the  supply  is scarce and that thing would rose the price of bitcoin.
That's not always true though. If no one actually spends bitcoin, it may lose its value since it is not being used anymore. That's one thing people often forget about. Not spending is virtually equivalent to "not for good to use any more". That must be a situation any system should not face.
5657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Way To Encourage Offline Store To Accept BTC on: August 02, 2016, 09:34:59 AM
Give the offline store some insight about bitcoin and the future of bitcoin and the future of their shop if they accepting bitcoin. Accepting bitcoin will be a good move for offline store imo.
Only problem that they may have to face most commonly is the long confirmation times needed to actually have a safe transaction (even with a higher fee, if a new block get generated after 30 minutes or 40 minutes gap). Although they may use bitpay for btc-fiat conversion but there would be certain fees to pay though.
5658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: August 01, 2016, 07:31:12 AM
sell bitcoin without going through the exchanger services, i think that's a good idea.
in Bali is already available, now u can buy and sell Bitcoin directly. yes i know bali it's not big city like paris and others.

-snip-

Well the gold stores had sucess and opened several in several places, i believe with bitcoin being the buy and sell the only service you will need to profit, but sure would be great to go to a store and sell my bitcoins and get the cash in hands, i believe it may work is you dont have to rent a space.
yeah it is a very good thing for the development of bitcoin. exchange that is in offline and physically will give interest to new users until she wants to join with bitcoin. and also the physical exchange will help the bitcoin users, especially in the city. I would be very happy if this offline exchange can exist in every city across the country? is it possible
This would have the need of government approval, wouldn't it?
If you do not have any problems with that then you are absolutely good to go! Not only that this is a good publicity for bitcoins but also an opportunity for nearby bitcoin users to buy bitcoins without having to worry about online scam transactions.
5659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can disappear? on: July 30, 2016, 12:00:38 AM
first bitcoin will not disappear. because it has no become a permanent currency and people are using it as a fiat currency in different areas. but if still bitcion disappear then people will really be in panic.
of course bitcoin cannot just disappear though theoretically its price might drop to a very low number then a lot of people would quit using bitcoins and bitcoin would kinda disappear
But as long as people are having some faith with the bitcoin ecosystem, they will keep on buying when bitcoin prices available for lower prices. So, the price drop will not that much impact to make bitcoin to disappear as long as people are believing with bitcoin ecosystem.
Yes, the price of bitcoin comparatively less significant for the survival of entire system. Because people will keep on using bitcoin for whatever price it will be available. When some people join in the seller side in bitcoin trading for their own specific reasons, at the same time some other people will come forward to buy. As long as this keeps on happening, bitcoin will not disappear.
5660  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2016, 07:41:47 PM
I have a large portion of my assets in Bitcoin right now, as that is one of the things I choose to invest in and work for on this forum and through other job systems. The other portion of my assets is in cash, and it typically gets passed through my hands fairy quickly because of utility fees, taxes, everything else that I have to deal with. Anything that I don't have to move quickly typically goes into Bitcoin.
I don't have a large asset to be honest, but I too have most of my asset in bitcoin. The salary I get from my job is only enough to pay for my necessities and to help my family aswell and I have quite a lot of time with me after my job everyday so I do signature campaigns, sometimes do minor services for bitcoins as well.
