4661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use any indicators to predict Bitcoin price movement on: December 28, 2017, 05:53:48 PM
I don't think if any here in bitcoin community could predict the price of bitcoin movement even the experts on the law of supply and demand have no idea on how to predict. The best way is to monitor the value of bitcoin from time to time. As the performance of the bitcoin this year is very tremendous unexpectedly, hoping to increase as wish by many to have a profit.
No one can predict accurately the value or price of bitcoin but you can use trend reversal signal indicators and some other few indicators like MA to know how to play the market to your favor and profit. It is not ABC, but at least if you know how to use them very well, then you can really do well in your trading.

Most of these indicators have to be mixed anyway to get the best out of them, so you have to learn as much as you can. In my experience, combination of more than one indicator always works better for accurate predictions as it will be based on more confirmations.
4662  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sites on: December 28, 2017, 12:51:42 PM
And what about new trading platforms like ModulTrade? They are already on ICO and the team is great. I've tried their prototype, it's a great system!
ModulTrade is new and as far as I am concerned, there is no trading site that is trustable as long as they are centralized and you have no single way of having a full hold of your account which is why you should never trade what you cannot afford to lose on any trading site. Until we start having decentralized trading platform with BTC pairs, then we will just have to stick with the ones we have for now.

I had the same problem on Bittrex and stop using (my money is still in there though), now I am using HitBtc and Binance. No problme so far, Binance is faster and i like it better now.
The best is just to do their verification so as to prevent any loss and that is still not a guarantee that anything does not happen to that exchange in the future, but at least, one is guaranteed a little bit of not getting one's account closed like bittrex did without any information. Binance is really a very good platform and I hope they do not end up like any other exchange as they start well and end up messing up in the long run.
4663  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: EtherDelta: Might Have Been Compromised on: December 28, 2017, 11:40:47 AM
I feel sorry to those who been included on this hacked. But its your fault on the very first place. Using that exchange to trade is crazy, that's why I never put my traded coins and never make any account/s there.
It is really a crazy thing and I am sure a lot of people won't still have got hold of this news ? What is the latest now ?
Has anything been done so far ?

Looking at the hackers address, I really imagine what these guys are always thinking when doing stuffs like this but it is their world. A lot has been stolen already and I hope they end up not getting to steal a lot more.

Anyway, thanks for the warning OP. I hope something is being done about it. That is crazy as these guys are really just busy trying their hands on every strong account they can get to and I imagine how many people are going to end up losing their funds in this process. How can we even be safe anymore and I can imagine not getting this news and making a huge transaction.
4664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to advertise gambling site on: December 28, 2017, 10:34:02 AM
Hello,

I am an admin of wheel99.com

To celebrate our 1millionth spin, we created a new theme (design).
We are also looking to promote our site in several ways.
a giveaway, a contest and others are planned.

Do you guys have ideas how to promote our site?

Kind regards,

Steffson
I visited at your spinning and earning site and found it much attractive for users , here my suggestion for you to advertise your site at a-ads.com Because this site is not only privacy giving to the publisher and advertiser but also giving advertisement otpion in low budget .Another options to advertise is to get into social media and make your site post at the wall of thigh liked Facebook pages ( contact admin to ask price ) , you can do the same at Twitter like platforms .
Another option to make bitcoin popular platform is this forum , here you should make your own creative signature and put in your signature space .
Hope these will work for you , best of luck .
I also visited this website and it was much better than other websites I have visited. I will recommend to advertise your websites in groups of social websites where more people can see and become aware of your website. I think this will be cheaper than other promotions on different websites because these websites take money from you to advertise your site, also there’s no surety that people will become aware of your site because people don’t visit gambling sites usually.

For a crypto based gambling site, this forum and social media campaigns are more than enough to stay competitive among many other established gambling sites.
4665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins would it take for you to Quit Gambling Forever? on: December 28, 2017, 08:42:34 AM
I think I do not need to measure how much will I spend in my gambling activities since I am just playing for fun not to have a profit. Also, I am playing in a lot of gambling sites that do not need money or to deposit money, you can play using their faucet. It may be a small amount still, I am gambling without any expenses and loses, just my time though.
I have heard for the first time that the gambler is losing his money and doesn’t give it any importance because he is playing just for fun. He doesn’t thinks about what he has lost. You are the odd one which I have seen in my life because all the gamblers to whom I have a contact are just in the thoughts of how to recover the losses which gambling have gave them. I think you are a dependent gambler because independent gamblers don’t talk like this.

When a gambler is not counting his losses and not bothering about spending for gambling then I guess there will be no need of quitting gambling for them. Yes, they do get free money and must have born with silver spoon then only they can gamble for fun !
4666  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a boom for debt ridden countries ? on: December 27, 2017, 06:54:21 PM
I know Venezuela is in debt and the government is working to create a coin of this country. Crypto may become a new source of investment for difficult nations. The crypto market will increase dramatically.
I hope the coin they are working to create will really help them achieve their aim and not still end up as messed up as their fiat based system, since it will still be a controlled environment anyway and I really do not know the much difference it may end up making.

If done well, and the government really want to work hard to get the nation starting stronger than before, then it is good to adopt the blockchain technology since in some years to come, this would still end up being the main thing, but if the corruption level still persists, nothing will really be different.
4667  Economy / Speculation / Re: DON'T PANIC. HOLD YOUR BITCOIN. on: December 27, 2017, 05:58:09 PM
HODLing has always been the lucrative tactic. Look at the charts. Would you be up or down if you always HODLed?
I do not know why people keep attributing this to Christmas. A fall can happen anytime and we have had some huge percentage dips even in this year alone and previous years that was not even at the end of the year.

Nevertheless, there really is no need for anyone to panic, it is the way things are meant to be after some parabolic bullish move and now we just hope that the scaling issue even come by to save the day to see some bulls moving in. Because everything is temporary.

The bulls were temporary and definitely the bears will also have some time to go and rest as well. This is a very fluctuated market and we already know the reason why that is but for now, it is something we have to keep living with as it would still continue until the scaling issue is solved and we get to see the main value of bitcoin and not just some greedy set of people trying to opt in for the profit.
4668  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Strong Sell Signal at breaking $16,000 on: December 27, 2017, 04:57:17 PM
I think price will recover sooner than expected, price can't go below $10k from the current level as there is still strong support around $15k.

The one who will sell now will loss, perfect time to take out profit was at $20k and current price is perfect entry point.
It will actually recover to $20k very soon, but that does not mean we may not really be done yet. It is what it is and at least it feels good seeing the correction now. We may see some sideways for now, if there would not be any more dip until we are able to consolidate and the start the journey back again. Let everyone go and rest for now. The whole bull was too much for just one year.

It has been a very crazy one and there is just huge uncertainty right now and no one knows what can even happen next. It just keeps we keep breaking all the level of support and when you thought bitcoin already found a good support, then you see it crumbling down the more.

The market was overbought anyway, so, one would definitely expect this and moreover, there is a lot that Roger Ver has used his position to cause in this too.
4669  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Auto Learn Trading on: December 27, 2017, 01:58:45 PM
Im not saying that im looking for "key" or holy grial for trading, i just want to create a learning path in  order to organice the most important topics on trading, technical analysis specially.
You have said it already. The only thing you need is to learn how to do some technical analysis. Once you hit Google anyway and search for trading technical analysis, then you should start from there and gradually see how you can practice some of them and learn from the practice as well.

Yes, there is no holy grail to trading and it is good you already know that but once you have the TAs at hand, you should be fine.

There is nothing like auto learning. It is either you find some resources online and read them very well, study all the indicators and strategies you need to study to trade effectively and do not go the way of trying to jump start. If you are looking for something that would help you to be determining paths, then there are indicators you can use, but you have to learn how to use them as that is the only way.
4670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin. Now it's all about the buyers on: December 26, 2017, 06:12:22 PM
BTC $19000 is it possible on 20 - 24 hours it is now $14500, i think not! Huh Huh Huh
That is definitely not possible and it would be like asking for too much. We should expect the price to go sideways for some days for now before we see a break out and even with the break out it is good to be very careful and observant so you do not fall into any trap of a fake one. For now, let us just have the best moment we have had so far and see how the year ends and how we move into next year.

Yes, it is all about the buyers but I would expect this to still go sideways like this for days and definitely not expect something that huge for now. It is possible for us to test the resistance at around $15,500 and $17,500, but that would be some little bit ups and downs as it may be hard to break initially, but anything breaking that should probably go test the previous tops. Like you said, it is better to wait for a clear sign to buy in than rushing in now as anything can still happen.
4671  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies make physical money disappear? on: December 26, 2017, 02:37:57 PM
I think not in this generation maybe in the future but right now we couldn't really rely too much in crypto currency,
We couldn't pay everything with crypto currency so we still need the Paper money or Fiat.
Yeah, obviously not now. We still have some pretty old folks who believe in the traditional way of doing things that they even run away from digital age like plague.

We cannot throw them anywhere and we cannot force them to making use or getting use to the digital world, but for now, they are just living borrowed ages and until some of them pass on, we just have to keep living with the fact that physical money will still be in existence till the next few decades and we will all know eventually anyway because it is going to be a gradual decrease for the usage of physical money.
4672  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if bitcoin got hacked on: December 26, 2017, 11:50:16 AM
There's beed a lot of FUD and fun trading opportunities whenever something regarding the underlying bitcoin protocol occurs. We can always count on a nice bounce to trade or rescue us whenever this happens - because, well, nothing was really wrong. But what if it happened for real: Bitcoin stopped working compeltely and wasn't coming back up, or someone cracked EC and all the keys were compromised, etc. What would the trading chart look like? How fast would it go down? Would be there be any bounces? Where would the final bottom be? Draw a chart. Even if you made a good trade would the exchanges even let you withdraw fiat? Would they even be operating?
Apparently, that is some event that is most unlikely to ever occur. We already know that it is going to be hard to even crack bitcoin and the only thing that has been perceived that could do that job would be some super computers which we know is not really much in existence and we should not expect bitcoin to remain the same as a lot would have even changed to beef up the security by then. Exchanges for now or some who are just careless are the ones that can get hacked, but the network, which is some huge impossibility.

What if the dollar hyperinflates.....

I bet that will happen first Smiley
I really bet that would happen first as well. It is about time anyway and I am sure we will end up having the craziest up rise in cryptocurrency ever than we have had before. Bitcoin getting hacked on the other hand simply look more like something that may not really be possible for now, and even if happens, it could probably cause some panic, but not like we won't end up seeing some resolutions except for some damages of course.
4673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will be $100,000 by 2018 on: December 26, 2017, 10:27:09 AM
This is not happening. Bitcoin is entering a multi year bear market again.

Just compare this current crash to the crash of 2012/2013; they are like carbon copies of each other.

The previous bubble was predicated on several factors: Winklevoss ETF, technicals, and adoption, etc.

When the actual events came to fruition, BTC was in a bear market.

The Japanese exchanges are the new Chinese exchanges, which reached ATH before BFX, Stamp, etc, just like the Chinese exchanges did back in 2012/13.

A simple nonchalant bad news became the tipping point to the crash just like 2012 when a stupid "Chinese bans bank related btc transactions" news was the tipping point for the multi year bear market.

BTC is entering the same bear market again. No sane investor is going to adopt BTC for a long time to come, if ever.

There is no reason for a new bear market in 2018. Bitcoin at 10k is cheap, this thing has the potential to change the world.
Practically, yeah! But anything is possible. Bitcoin is not what it used to be and sure, even though we experienced some crazy bears in the market lately, we should also know that bulls had their own time. Nothing lasts and just keeps on like that, but for now, I am not sure, we will see all those crazy bearish scenarios of 2012/2013 to happen again but I guess we will just have to keep our fingers crossed.

It is just a speculation, but anything can absolutely happen but not from the present angle anyway. However, looking at the angle back in late 2016, one would not expect what we ended up seeing at the end of this year. I am sure so many things would occur in 2018 that would really make some difference, and I would rather just live with the moment and see how things play out than get too optimistic.
4674  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble? on: December 26, 2017, 09:17:04 AM
It depends on how you look at it. For some, this is a bubble for other investment opportunity. With such large increases can be expected that the price can also quickly fall.
It totally depends. Anything can be a bubble based on the current incident at a particular point in time.
So far, bitcoin is not even usable yet as a currency and it was obvious people were getting the wrong idea of bitcoin as a pure speculative asset which totally made all the things that happened to be a bubble which we have seen to have caused the recent downtrend recently.

However, we cannot expect to see stuffs like this, but i am sure over time, bitcoin will be more of a real currency than just a speculative asset.
4675  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Dip: The Christmas Gift? on: December 26, 2017, 07:32:59 AM
Yeah, people like me will be slightly happier for this correction, long awaited and long delayed. Definitely had a good run and honestly not out of sync with the rise and decline patterns we've been accustomed to over the past year. Is this a good place to buy more Bitcoin? For sure, and to return alts to better levels against Bitcoin, I might add. I may even be hoping for below 10k if it it will mean a healthy surge back to $15k and a stabilisation attempt there. Christmas gift indeed, if anyone here is looking for a payout in crypto.

Overall, my holdings have slipped 30% from just a few days ago, so diversification hasn't really changed the broad pattern of losses, but like most holders, this is but a blip we're happy to have now rather than later. Well, if is goes down a further 20-25% in this final week of December, I'll be an expert for having predicted a max level of $10k by the end of 2017 Wink
Of course! This is more like having a sweet year and then bitcoin giving us a chance for the next year to buy in more at a lower price. A max level of $10k would actually be a very good one and I am really trying to see if the $10k may last though as there are so many buy order at that point, but let's see how it goes. that would really give an opportunity to get at even a better price. It is really a Christmas gift and I hope the discount phase lasts.

Yeah, this is more like a Christmas gift truly for those who really understand the main value of bitcoin and not just an asset. A lot have bought in now and even if we still end up having another dip, a lot will still definitely be buying more.

If this did not happen and the whole craziness kept going, it would have happened at some point anyway and that time probably would have been worst, but it is good we got this and from here onward, we can have some good movement upward.
4676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price could hit $50,000 in a few years, analyst says on: December 26, 2017, 06:17:20 AM
Bitcoin price could hit $50,000 in a few years, analyst says

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_HxYqzuvqc

What do you think?
A lot need to be solved first for bitcoin honestly most especially the scaling issue before we start projecting all this huge value. I still see bitcoin to be more of a speculative asset for now and there is no reason to see the value being driven so hard bullishly as nothing warrants it.

But once this transaction issue has been solved, we will see real life usage and then see people getting in because they need it and not because they want to make some quick bucks and that is when we would see the demand increasing for what bitcoin really is.
4677  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: December 25, 2017, 01:53:47 PM
This is really a good one. First, I am afraid, what you fear the most is already happening as most people joining the evolution train now are really doing that because of the money and the profit they want to make and not because they really find bitcoin to be a currency lying on an interesting technology that would change the world.

Most of them do not even have any idea how the whole system works and sometimes, I wish we can go back to the sane old days when you can easily do transactions but, it is what it is. The idea of doing something good regarding social responsibility is good and I hope all the bitcoin elites will be taking note of that.
4678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKitties proves Ethereum and it will only get better. on: December 24, 2017, 05:21:51 PM
Here is a chart showing the growth in transaction numbers on the Ethereum network, prior to and since the introduction of CryptoKitties.

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/ethereum-transactions.html

Also

Ethereum has approximately 22k pending transactions as can be seen here:

https://etherscan.io/chart/pendingtx

And Bitcoin has over 210k pending transactions as can be seen here:

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

I don't know yet all details regarding this kittens, but it's really making the transactions too slow, it can be a good additional features if it will not cause too much delays.
Cryptokittens is a game where you can breed some kittens and then see them grow in size as well as in value in the long run and then you can sell them more than you buy them. It has been the trending game on the Ethereum blockchain right now and people really got so crazy about it and with the huge number of transactions going on, that caused some congestion.

I really would say it has not really been that bad compared to the rate at which bitcoin just keeps getting worst and we just have to still stand by it being the legacy chain which we really want to see succeed, but if something is not done, it is not really going to speak well cause the currency value of it will be lost. However, for Ethereum, a lot can still be done to even make things better and from this little that has happened, that would give room for more improvement.
4679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin expectation end of 2018 on: December 24, 2017, 08:39:10 AM
That's too far ahead, but just imagine if we would do even half of what bitcoins did this year, then $50k is nothing. Bitcoins jumped from $800 to $20,000 (its all time high) in less than a year! That's amazing. That is 25x since it started this year. Imagine if it would even do just 5x. Then $20,000 x 5 = $100,000 by the end of 2018. It's quite possible I think!
Yes, I am envisaging more for bitcoin by next year, and what we are seeing now is what is really expected with the correction after the huge maniac rise in the bitcoin's price.

By next year, I am sure a lot of the whales will want to start coming back in so as to have an upper hand and I also feel the wall street guys may also want to be a part of that so that they can also have solid ground in the market. $50,000 though seems like something we are going to be crossing next year.
4680  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long awaited Bitcoin correction(+) on: December 23, 2017, 06:13:29 AM
bitcoin is going down whats happening  Shocked will it rise again Huh
If you will sell right now than only you will loss, just hold whatever amount of bitcoin you have right now.
Wait for next few weeks, bitcoin will be well over $50k within next few years.

Just increase your bitcoin holding by selling alts right now as alts are stronger against btc.
In reality, I wonder why a lot of people are really panicking right now. This is normal in the market. Few days ago, the bulls were driving the market and everyone started going crazy, and the FOMOs were busy shooting the market higher pretty fast. What do they expect would happen before? It has happened before and it would happen again if the same thing that we have experienced this year happens until we see a good reason for the market to really be driven up and not by some crazy FOMOs.

If you are holding for a long term which I want to assume you are, then you have no reason to worry or panic. It is normal, the market was overbought and this was expected. As long as the bears are done cashing out all their profits, sanity will reign back in the market and we will get to see the old BTC starting something big next year, but for this year, I guess we are done with any huge bull run.
