4641  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Trading! on: January 11, 2018, 05:17:49 PM
I am a beginner in the field of bitcoin trading, want to know whether success in trading depends more on experience or on skills.
Actually if you are new, then obviously need experience and skills both. Bitcoin trading is not that easy nor hard if you have proper skills but you will surely need a lot of experience for trading with bitcoins are the price of bitcoins is not that low and if you want high profits then you will need a huge investment too.

I would prefer you to try paper trading first and then move on to trading with your funds. Paper trading will help you to gain interest in trading and once you learn to understand dips then surely you can make good profits by buying at low and selling once high.

I have got 100 verge at binance. What should I trade with. I want to learn how to make atleast $20 a day just by trading from home. Just a newbie trying to learn trading. Any expert opinions or guidance or suggestions please?
If you wanna be day trading you've to be Online 24/7 to be able to Know when to lay trades. You have to take a close look at the 24hr chart and probably join telegram channels that do give signals.

Yes day trading is very tough to keep up with and not the thing for people who are crypto enthusiasts. I prefer to trade at times when prices seem good to buy or sell. Otherwise I check coinmarketcap once or twice per day and keep coins on hodl. I dont understand how some people manage to day trade and be good at it - maybe they do it full time which is not possible for everyone.

You want to trade? Goto trading site and create a account and sell your verge in high price. Sell verge to bitcoin .

Verge is shitcoin according to me. Bitcoin is better than XVG so yeah its a good idea.
Actually day trading is not that much difficult. You need to have some better analyzing skills so that you can better interpret the market trends and accordingly make your selling or buying. Like you said, yes there are some people who are successful in day trading. I find it must doddering too as you have to live the whole day in analyzing and seeing the market prices for certain coins.
They will really do well and there is no doubt about that. $50,000 to reach $1 M is very possible. It is not a small amount of money but in few years, I have seen a lot of coins x20 and even more, so why is it not going to be possible ?

Yes, he is going to end up buying several coins and all of them cannot do well at the same time, but there is at least a guarantee that one way or the other, most of them will and we can never be so sure how well they will end up getting.

$20 a day with a $22 investment is like saying that you own a million dollars and you want to make a million dollars a day.

Can you understand how crazy it sounds? if you try to be in the shoes of a person who says that, you will understand that $20 a day with an investment of $20 is impossible.

If you want to earn that amount, at least, try to invest $1000 or $3000, without that amount of money you are nothing on the market.

Thank you for your advice. Nothing is impossible afaik. Within 3 months with these 20$ investment I will achieve $200 and I wont invest a single penny at all. With this much investment, research and hardwork I will achieve my goals
Research and hard work can really do all that is needed for sure, but nothing is still guaranteed. I have seen a lot of coins do greatly just in few days and with those coins, you can make a lot and you can take some few profits off this coin and look for other possible ones and if you are able to make a good prediction from some of these coins and get good profit, within few months, that $20 can hugely turn into a lot.

But it is really not that easy as it sounds, looking at some of the opportunity you could have missed while waiting for a particular coin to increase in value before you take profit, except you have all the patience in the world. However, $22 a day out rightly is not something that the OP should expect to achieve with that amount.
4644  Economy / Speculation / The beginning of new trend : Ghana may invest 1% of its reserves in bitcoin on: January 03, 2018, 03:19:56 PM
After attracting from common people to billionaires, now bitcoin may target governments to provide them one extra options to diversify their reserves. Along with gold and USD, countries may start considering bitcoins as one of prominent reserve asset.

Ghana may set this trend to begin : https://www.ccn.com/ghanas-central-bank-should-invest-1-of-its-reserves-in-bitcoin-groupe-nduom-executive

If bitcoin will be one of the reserve assets then achieving one billion (not a typo) dollars per one bitcoin is no more debatable. Yes, believe me, that is definitely going to happen but the question is within this decade or in next decade.

4646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash;The Cryptocurrency Replacing Bitcoin:Price Reaching 10000$ in June 2018 on: December 30, 2017, 11:50:31 AM
We have altcoins that have the same features you listed above and yet we cant say they will overtake bitcoins. Bitcoins is the leader in crypto currencies and attempt of any alternate coins to by pass Bitcoin will be lose battle.
No one can even say Dash is not a good one, but just like you said, basing that on the fact that it would overtake bitcoin in itself is preposterous.

There is a reason why they are all alts, and it would normally stay that way. No one knows the future for sure, but we should expect bitcoin to keep improving with the fast movers’ advantage still in play and that would make it hard for any alt to replace bitcoin.

I really wonder how some of you base what you say on just some theory on fast transaction, team and on and on, then say that would make it to replace bitcoin, like bitcoin would remain stagnant without any improvement on the protocol over the years? Keep dreaming and expecting something that would not happen. This is something that would even be hard for Dash to do as it has so many altcoins to contend with.
4647  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs. Gold Prices on: December 30, 2017, 10:56:23 AM
This would be a case of 'risk premium.'  For example, stocks on average have to do better than government bonds over the long term, to compensate for the fact that their values are less stable than the bonds.

While this might be true, I still think there's more at play here than risk premium.  As I pointed out, Bitcoin is still cheaper than gold (and was much cheaper not long ago,) so it's more attractive.

But the factor that might be more important than all others is that the Western elites probably favor Bitcoin (and cryptos) over gold as a potential tool for a reset of the entire system, for a variety of reasons (one of which is that it would be very embarrassing to them if gold becomes a thousand times higher than the $35/ounce price that they last tried to defend.)
What kind of risk you are talking about mate there is not that much loss in bitcoin as compared to any other investment coming toward gold, gold has stable values and profit is also stabilized whereas bitcoin has volatile nature (as pf now) prices goes up and down to give people chance to buy and sell to make money and I think in coming year people will forget about gold because bitcoin will delist gold from the safe-heaven investment list.

Bitcoin also will join gold for stable prices at some point of time but we can be sure that time may arrive after 100+ years alone and definitely not in near future.
4648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another dip before new year? on: December 30, 2017, 09:03:21 AM
Hey!

Will there be another dip before new year or around the first week of Jan? Last year there was a correction but i am still not sure. I have around $ 8K i want to invest in Btc & ethereum. Any leads would be nice.

It is really difficult to predict the price in the long term. Just buy some now. If it goes lower, buy more and lower buyer more.
Not too difficult to predict mate prices are just recovering and in recovering phenomena this often happen don’t take it as dip and if you want to buy then this is time to buy because I don’t see any major fall coming in the way and millions of people are in bitcoin community and this time prices will shoot up to the good value to give a best start to the bitcoin to get into 2018 and I am sure profit time is coming ahead for all.

Ups and downs will keep happening and even after new year also it may happen for unlimited number of times. We are all having to options to ignore/make profits among these ups and downs.

1. Predict accurately by using many technical analysis and make use of lows and highs by buying and selling frequently.
2. Just hold for longer periods and you can easily skip all the hassles of a trader to make easy and huge profits.
4649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of a new year on market? on: December 30, 2017, 07:51:08 AM
Holidays, and especially such large, uniquely affect the market. Movement and because of work schedules, and because of legislative changes, which often come into effect in the new year. And, of course, a psychological moment. Knowingly in the new year, sellers have a decent earnings, using various methods of influencing customers. In crypto, I'm sure their own rules of the game and earnings schemes for large players. And for us it is a good time for investments. Discounts! Smiley
It is really a good time for old and new investors to get the best from the market in the new year. However, there is still a lot of uncertainty in the market, so with or without the new year, we will still always see some of those effects where bitcoin gets some huge correction but at least, we know it is for the ultimate good.

In 2018 though, I expect that bitcoin would become more usable as a currency which would make it a huge year for it and its value based on that. I believe the new year has brought something pretty interesting already. A lot of us were able to do some Christmas shopping with a huge discount most especially for bitcoin and be rest assured that so many goodies are awaiting a lot of the bitcoiners as we enter the new year and during 2018.

The effect so far has really been the same, and while we see some of the alts experience some boom, bitcoin usually have some pretty good correction, but it is all for good.

4650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which exchange for cashing out more than 100 BTCs to a company bank account? on: December 30, 2017, 06:53:48 AM
For your safety, https://localbitcoins.com is the best you can get. It has an escrow you'll get your funds first from the seller and only then you will release the escrow. However, 150 BTC is not a small amount so you'd have to make multiple trades but at the end you shouldn't face any issues. Even if you do, you can file a support case, localbitcoins is very much supportive I have heard, so give it a try.
Do not use bitfinex, if you're doing, you're doing so at your own risk. You can use coinbase too, it's the biggest crypto market for buying and selling.
I have not withdrawn as much as 100 BTC before but I have withdrawn a lot at once before and the saving grace was remitano and localbitcoin. I had to use these two being a P2P exchange that I can make use of in my country and it was swift. Most of the other normal exchanges have limited to what you can withdraw in fiat and I am very sure you may not be able to get as much as that from any of those exchanges.

I doubt if there would be any exchange that can do that easily. The best the OP can ever get is to make use of localbitcoins. Most of the exchanges are regulated and they have limit to which you can withdraw monthly, not sure about the exact amount but they all do. Therefore, the only way to go is to do direct with a buyer who is ready to buy enough from you.
4651  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD FUD and more FUD on: December 30, 2017, 05:44:14 AM
well this is an ugly truth regarding bitcoin price and its market. it is filled with a lot of newbies who mostly want to get rich overnight so they sign up on places like coinbase for the ease of use to buy hold and dump at the same place. they never even know what they bought and sold! it may as well be some fake numbers on their screen...

but this is how it is. there is not much we can do to change it. as long as the market is filled with idiots, it will be easy to spread FUD and make them sell their coins cheap and generally make irrational decisions.

knowing that it is How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love FUD Wink
And that is an issue we are going to keep seeing as bitcoin keeps being a speculative asset than a currency. Most of the newbies today really do not know anything and all they are just after like you said is to get rich overnight and that really sucks and I am looking forward to when the scaling issue will be solved so we can start getting real life usage of bitcoin than it just being an asset filled with a lot of speculation and FUD.

I want to keep as little fiat as possible, but that is just not possible because bitcoin cannot be used for everyday items. It's only good if you're buying a Lamborghini or benz....
I really hope the scaling stuff is resolved but for now it seems we are still stuck with it as no one really knows where the whole LN thing is even going right now but I am still optimistic anyway that things would change. Nevertheless, the rate at which FUD is being spread can really be annoying and I understand the OP's plight at the moment he unfortunately listened to some of those crappy talks from people who does not even know anything.
4652  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's that unfair for those who don't have bitcoin in the future ? on: December 30, 2017, 04:35:02 AM
All who have bitcoin want it to grow and prosper, those who do not have them, they want the price to be as low as possible to buy, and then sell. There are people who are not yet aware of the crypto currency, those people do not care how much bitcoin costs, so that all people are interested in the price of bitcoin being high.
At the end of the day, there would be different categories of people in the whole thing about cryptocurrency. Those who got the info, accepted it and took the risk are enjoying the benefit. Those who got the info, did nothing about it and then later noticed what they have missed and got in later on, then some who did not even get the information at all. However, that is life and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

I really do not see how that is unfair. Anyone who cannot get now should definitely not blame anyone as those who are here now do not have two heads as information got them here and those who are here now apparently should not see those who bought in around 2009/2010 as unfair as everyone had equal chance and while they got the info, the opportunity and took it, some did not and same thing applies to the future.
4653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find coins with potential on: December 29, 2017, 07:46:21 PM
Now a large variety of garbage and similar projects ,but among them there are coins with great prospects
There would always be garbage and there would always be more garbage as most ICOs keep coming out and that is one good reason why we need to be very careful to study the project that is worth investing in before ending up with a scam and shit project.

There are a lot of them out there, and the only way to get to know them is how they have really been fairing with development by the devs for those that are already existing and the chance of them being useful in the community for both new and old.
4654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best investment strategies on: December 29, 2017, 06:56:03 PM
My investment strategy is buying and holding. I feel that day trading is time consuming and stressful as well. I agree that some coins’ prices fall after ICO but not all projects. That is why we have to research carefully before investing. Solid projects are still worth investing in.
I only tried day trading once and the migraine I had for that day is something I have never had in my life, so I just decided to switch to  following of trends and trading based on some analysis and to me that seems to make more sense. However, holding some of these coins from the trading that I do is one investment strategy that has really paid me a lot and I believe would even pay me more in the future.

My strategy is to always look for good projects and then hold as many as I can most especially when I have the chance to buy most of them at dips.

With this, there is always going to be a guarantee of having good profit on these coins in the long run rather than putting all my eggs in one basket. This has really helped me over the years as a lot of these coins have really made some pretty good profit and I believe they will keep making those huge profits in the long run.
4655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Price Prediction 2018 - 2022 on: December 29, 2017, 06:00:55 PM
This is just one shit post as far as I am concerned.
If you are hoping on giving a prediction based on nothing and expecting a donation as a result of that, then I am sure you must have thought you have been able to fool a lot of people by now right ?

You should also understand that doge is not limited in supply and there are so many reasons it cannot even get to that point when there are so many coins to look out for, but if you feel you dreamed about and your dreams do come true, then you are good to go invest in doge.
4656  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I'm going to buy some bitcoins on: December 29, 2017, 03:01:23 PM
Its better to move now than later, because this is the best time to buy BTC due to fluctuation from 19KUSD went down to 14KUSD and i believe that will come up again by early 2018.
If you really made up your mind for buying of bitcoins, then now is the time to go for buying of as many bitcoins as you can afford to buy. The market price of bitcoin has fallen down and buying of the bitcoins at this very moment will help you in having more number of bitcoins and that too in less price. Moreover, you will also be able to earn greater profit by buying the bitcoins now.
4657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin ? which one will be the best to invest in 2018? on: December 29, 2017, 08:55:43 AM
Altcoins are also profitable. There are many altcoins who performed good this year. One of them is ETH, the price movement of ETH was very stable and very profitable to its investors.
This is a huge world and just leaving your funds in one does not really seem like a good way to invest. Bitcoin may receive a huge share since it is more established, but the fact is that some other altcoins will keep doing good as well and increasing at large, so the best is just to hold some of them but definitely not for all of your capital.

Diversifying across many altcoins and still keeping big portion of capital for bitcoin must be a wise idea for both naive as well for professional investors and traders.
4658  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin fell to about 9% within a day of about $14000. on: December 29, 2017, 07:36:15 AM
This is normal December is the harvest season all are just want their cash to use for the coming holiday season, expect another high 1st quarter next year and drop on the middle year (probably)
We should even expect more level of instability with all these huge bull runs within a short period that we have been experiencing lately. Yes, as much as I want the whole thing to at least get a little stability that all those crappy long up and long down so quickly, it is just something that would be too much to ask for now as we all know this is going to keep on like this for a while.
4659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin reach 40k at the end of 2018? on: December 29, 2017, 05:37:53 AM

Bitcoin could be at $40,000 at the end of 2018. It easily could," Michael Novogratz says on CNBC's "Fast Money
Ethereum, which I think just touched $500 or is getting close, could be triple where it is as well," adds Novogratz, formerly a macro hedge fund manager at Fortress Investment Group.
We cannot really say for sure, but that should be expected as well and every other option should really be expected too anyway. Bitcoin has really had some major push this year and I would not be surprised at the rate at which it had gone, then having the same thing happen next year would mean a huge increase in value, but that would be too much of something to expect.
4660  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to 200k satoshi mount with faucet. on: December 28, 2017, 07:08:52 PM
Those faucets are good but it will take lot of time to reach because now a days faucets are paying very low amount and will take many days to achieve your target. But you need to spend more time to accumulate more time on daily.
If you channel that lot of time in building your twitter and Facebook account to join bounties, building up your forum account to earn from signatures and improving your skills to earn as a freelancer, you will make so much more than just clicking on a faucet that even before you can get the minimum payout, you may have started growing white beards.

It is absurd to see that people are still clicking on faucets and even as a senior member, you should even know better that it sucks by now and leave that world to the newbies. It is a total waste of time, resources, name them and you end up getting nothing at the end of the day even if you are clicking on all the faucets at once which even introduces malware to your system with all the popping adverts.
