4821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit2x in November on: November 05, 2017, 08:25:44 PM
There needs to be some form of negative news accompanied with a massive sellout/profit booking just like what happened on the previous fork in August for us to see another crash. With the rate of price increase right now, there needs to be some form of correction before we take off just so we can assure that everything goes smoothly without any hitch.

We need some massive 'forks are killing bitcoin' drama to have some form of crash (partly for me to buy a small amount again).
You think people have not really gotten smarter to never believe in such FUDs again ?
If we really have a huge correction, you would not be the only one who would not want to quickly buy up, there are so many of us and imagine what that would be eventually, meaning the value will not stay too low for long.

I really wish we still have weaker hands though for my own selfish reasons, but for the good of bitcoin and its future, I am happy it is reducing. However, 2X will just come and go just like all the previous forks and it seems it would end up even more shitty than we could have imagined. Crazy scammers!
4822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the advantage of Bitcoin from ETH? on: November 05, 2017, 05:41:25 PM
I just compared the benefits of Bitcoin vs Etherium.
I send ETH and BTC at the same time into an exchange.
In transactions ETH is faster than BTC. ETH only takes 2-5 minutes to complete a transaction. while BTC in my opinion very slow in completing the transaction.
My question What is the advantage of BTC from ETH and why is Bitcoin more expensive than ETH?
Thanks
Though they both have their own usefulness, and judging based on the fact of transaction is not something we should be using to give ETH an edge over BTC. The two are not similar in any way and they both have huge differences.

First, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, while Ethereum on the other hand is a public blockchain platform used in executing decentralized smart contracts with its own cryptocurrency called ether.

Although, Ethereum really exploits the huge blockchain potential, but can it ever overtake bitcoin ? I doubt!
We should not forget the fact that ethereum is an inflationary coin while bitcoin is deflationary
4823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC Challenge on: November 05, 2017, 07:08:04 AM
I hope you have a good strategy to actualize your aim, I believe it is going to take some time to hit your target going by the amount of bitcoin invested for a start, I implore you to kindly  reveal your trading strategy so as to carry interested trader along.
I hope he really does and I hope he has learnt so much already and have been able to know how to manage himself in making some certain decisions based on his strategies as well and yes, revealing his trading strategy and not just giving us the update on the increase of his coin would be good.

Even before making some trades, he should let us know the start and finish of those trades, so some people can just move along, and probably learn from him. He can be a such source of motivation for wannabe traders. However, I must confess that is not an easy task but it is possible and that is why it is a challenge anyway.
4824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can we trust Telegram Signal channel..? on: November 05, 2017, 03:57:08 AM
I have joined several telegram signal channel for signals. all are free signal channels. I followed their signal time. most of signals they give us after the pump. time different is about one minutes oh two. but they always tell they are success. lot of newbie traders have  lost of this tricks. I think some experienced traders know about this..? please help me with this..?
If you really love your asset, learn how to trade on your own rather than following those signals.
If you are good, you will never need them. Moreover, most of these guys and virtually all of them are there for their own profit.

They buy at extreme dips, tell you to buy and hold and then they sell for profit and then you are always at the mercy of FOMOs, which if they don't come, you just have to count your losses.

The number of the people following them though helps a lot in pushing the price up and if you are smart enough in some cases to buy at dips, before the price starts rising, then good for you, if not, it is always better to not join at a certain point when the price is already rising cause that would be a very huge risk to take.

4826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make money if bitcoin/altcoin prices keep falling? on: November 04, 2017, 04:20:56 PM
keep calm and don't panic.. patiencely, when the prices keep falling, that's the best time you can buy some bitcoin.. don't worry about the prices, bitcoin is fluctuation, when the prices are falling of course the prices will be rising up again.. maybe you just need time for waiting the prices up..
I really doubt if anyone can ever make the mistake of panic selling except maybe for newbie in the game though.
Almost everyone have been able to learn from past experience that it is much better to HODL and even buy more at dips.

So, if any whale is dumping and trying to create FUD and then expect people to dump, then the whale should better be counting his or her losses cause people will be ready to start buying as much as possible.
4827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stratis on: November 04, 2017, 03:28:08 PM
Just wondering..

What is happening with Stratis coin? I'ts going down, Anyone willing to share some insight?
It is not only dtratis that is going down. Every other alts are. The boss himself is rising and then you most definitely expect all the subordinated to succumb. Just few altcoins with some little bit of support are still trying to even make some sense right now but they are still hugely affected in a way.

If you have some cash somewhere though, it might be the best time to start buying some alts cause once bitcoin decides to sit back and relax from its journey, most of them would want to come out to play if you know what I mean (get pumped)
4828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO standard for absolute investor protection ?? on: November 04, 2017, 11:20:51 AM
These are some pretty good valid points and if you can really do a lot of good with this. It is really bad that it is uncontrollable but the only way for now has been for the investors to know how to fish out the project they invest in which is still not easy.

With some of the regulations coming up gradually for ICOs anyway, I am sure some lazy investors who do not like doing some research on their own will find it easy.

The whole scam shit is really giving the whole cryptocurrency community a bad name as so many people looking for a cheap project since bitcoin is expensive and most of them being newbies, always end up being thrown into the mouth of sharks.

4830  Economy / Economics / Re: Yes or No? Doesn't Bitcoin unfairly benefit early adopters? on: November 02, 2017, 02:29:05 PM
Yes or No?    Doesn't Bitcoin unfairly benefit early adopters?
We cannot call that unfair. Early adopters always benefit in most things, while the laggards should always have themselves to blame.

We all had an equal advantage somehow in some ways but those who took the opportunity and the risk at that time and benefiting from it now is not unfair as you can wait for your own time too.We could say it is not easy for hustlers, but the pizza boy who bought a lot in the past was also a hustler.

They took the boldest risk then and we are taking a lesser risk at this point and later on when things are starting to get rosy, then that gives it no risk and anyone coming that time should never see it as unfair compared to someone who is here now.
4831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc target on: November 02, 2017, 01:40:38 PM
How can you sure for that? .. I heard that there is news in china that  all exchanges will be close so i think it will affect the price of bitcoin again if exchanges are close again..
Bitcoin is just getting increase its value because of coming fork and people are investing more just to getting more benefits of getting free fork coins..
This is  just what i seen here.

Exactly what i was thinking, got out because of the end of October China closures, no news here, and got into Alt's, they kept dropping, but it's just a wait for them to rise, perhaps when BTC stays at a level and all calms down.
With the $6400 we have reached as October ends, $8000 is pretty much reachable in my speculations. Sure, we can expect anything after the fork, we can't say yet and there could be some news that could cause much more spikes but all the same bitcoin will always astonish us at the end.

Yes, the coming hard fork is quite controversial but I have the feelings that B2X will not have any way into the system since a lot of support have dropped for it. We cannot let some company and miners to start making decisions for us and that is more like going the centralized way and no one wants that.
4832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin up Altcoin down | what is your trading strategy? on: November 02, 2017, 12:49:12 PM
Bitcoin prices are getting more expensive and the price of altcoin is getting lower.
For you altcoin traders, I want to know how the strategy you are using in the current situation.
Well, I usually hold since most of the coins on me don't really get that too much dips and even if they experience some few dips more than what I got, I buy more and wait for the crazy period to pass and then sell them at huge profit recovering any loss I could have had, that is if I eventually did anyway cause most times, I always end up getting back even more profit. One thing is that most of the pumps will get pumped back once the show ends.

if i have the alt coin and the price is up but the Btc going down, i prefer to sell half my alt coin, i'm sure they will ll going more higher, precisely.
This is an old and effective way of trading both bitcoins and altcoins. But in recent times few altcoins also showed good appreciations along with bitcoins. Hence we cannot be sure what is going to happen everyday. A simple strategy I do follow : hold bitcoins and never touch altcoins.
4833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: electrum for BTG on: November 02, 2017, 09:09:03 AM
that's why I asked. cos that web page to me looks like a scam site.
I just hope that vising it didn't do something. ESET didn't activate nothing.
thanks.
You should stay away. If electrum is listing BTG you would have gotten a notification or you can just go directly to their site to find the information. Moreover, it would have been listed on the BTG website itself, btcgpu.org which is the only place you can get information. However, I would be careful just distributing my private key just in any wallet and it is best you transfer your BTC to another wallet first before doing that.
We should be careful the kind of websites you visit and drop your private key. As long as you did not input any information yet and you apparently did not download or install anything from the site, then you should be good. BTG is really a coin you should remove your mind from for now.

No one including the dev seems to be talking about it for now and it seems pretty much like a dead coin already.
If chances are you can get it later, then you can try a much more valid wallet or make use of the ones listed on their site. Even at that, I will want to check the reviews of those listed wallets first before I do anything.
4834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin sold out on: November 02, 2017, 08:14:44 AM
My dear,
tell me somebody what will happen to bitcoin, if Satoshi sell it his 5% that is more than a million units?
Whether it can ruin the market or not?
I am not sure that would tend to be much of a problem.

Highest that would happen is the price dropping a little bit and so many people quickly picking it up at that little price until we have it back up again and then at the end satoshi would end up having even a lot lesser but really, why would he even ever want to do that ?

If you are satoshi or even an investor with a lot of bitcoin, would you want to dump all you have for a lot lesser and then buying at a higher value? The market seems like something that will not be affected much with what satoshi has anyway.
4835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling ends on: November 01, 2017, 03:38:45 PM
can this world stop in gambling?
someone who like to gamble hard to escape from the gambling trap. almost like a drug addict. Even after they went bankrupt still struggling to gamble by borrowing money for gambling. Actually what do they expect?

Its very difficult to really escape gambling, it's like a addictIon and very rare have i heard that people who get in, move out so it's my personal story, initially I started with just few $, and then when it grew 100 - 1000$ I didn't realize to, and i went into debt of 10000$ grands, so it was difficult to come out, but I finally managed to get myself by sheer discipline, worked well for few months before i went back and started playing back and won and lost, it's very difficult lol.
LOL. Your situation seems pretty funny somehow. At a point you won, then you got so engrossed and happy and then you lost more than you won initially.

After realizing your mistake, you started doing normal work to take away your attention and then after making a lot of money you came all the way back to recover your losses, and then lost all you have worked for again Grin Grin

Gambling is never a way to make money and that is where addiction starts, always thinking that you can get lucky.
Even while I was gambling, I have never gambled what I cannot afford to lose and with that, it is always fun even if you lose it and more fun if you win. As long as I know what I have lost would come back to me in real life and won't kill me.
4836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: November 01, 2017, 11:52:18 AM
Hello,
Yesterday I saw some increase in my total estimated token value, and today it dropped significantly.
It appears that a lot of people are selling their airdropped tokens as soon as they get them.
I have not sold a single token from airdrops, and with the exception of some them, they seem to be mostly losing value in time.
Should I do the same or hodl hoping that some of them may increase in value, closing the gap I lose in the process?
It totally depends on the project as far as I am concerned, Not all airdrops are shit and it depends on the way the airdrop comes. Some coins call it airdrop but they still make you work for it either with your social media page or even signatures, like POStoken.

However, there are some that you just see in your wallet or you just do not do anything for it and you just drop your wallet address to receive them. Any good project will not just airdrop anyhow and I have never liked the idea anyway. If you feel it is a project worth waiting for, then why not? If not, discard as soon as you can.
4837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what happened for altcoins ?we are still lost more money on: November 01, 2017, 08:44:02 AM
Alts will bleeding till the middle of november when hardfork will happen. Many ppl at crypto waiting for this event due to opportynity to get possible free coins.
That is just most definite and I do not see anything stopping that. Some have had the chance of getting pumped few days back and going back to that state now and good for those who bought earlier who already have profit now and bad for those who took the bait. The best is either to wait if you know you are holding a good coin.

After all, a lot of people rushed into bitcoin for BTG that does not even know its left from its right and I have had far more profit I could have gotten from buying altcoins at dips and selling them when some of them got pumped recently. Just depends on each person.
4838  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesian Ban on: November 01, 2017, 06:33:24 AM
Indonesia’s central bank, has threatened action against bitcoin and say

Quote

I must emphasize that BI does not see bitcoin as an official payment tool in Indonesia so all people should know not to use Bitcoin as a means of payment. There is a risk.

Source of news https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-banned-payment-method-adopters-will-dealt-indonesian-central-bank/
We have seen talks like this in the past and I am surprised they are just getting to that stage of considering it as a huge risk. Definitely, there is a risk which no one can ascertain but if anyone is willing to take the risk, I guess the choice is theirs.

They already know bitcoin is one huge community that is so strong and getting stronger by the day for them to challenge which is becoming a lot of threat to their normal system of government related to controls and manipulations. But they are not seen anything yet.
4839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Top ICO Out of These on: October 31, 2017, 05:42:06 PM
Ok I know you all have your favorites but after the Electroneum craze settled (ICO finished), I have now seen these pop up the most for the next best investments... Which do you choose ??
The funny thing is that all the ICOs you have listed are good and they have some pretty good solid team behind them. If all things work well, they have huge prospects and they are all worth investing in. However, everyone have a decisive factor most especially on what they are looking for in a project, but if you have the funds to invest in the three. Why not? It is best you still do your due diligence though and not just count on everything you are told here.

I think Utrust is best out of the other two. It's a gigantic project and if successful, could eleminate the need for Paypal and a lot many e-wallets. Plus it's success will directly convert to increase in ETH prices as it aims to make ETH as a payment option on many e-commerce websites.
I have not really been able to read much about this project but considering all that you have stated here it seems pretty much like something that would work and would definitely stay relevant in the crypto community. This would be a huge driving force for ETH at the long run and apparently would be a project that would give its investors a good profit at the end.
4840  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesian Ban on: October 31, 2017, 04:07:45 PM
yet another bitcoin ban story.
i wonder why the likes of indonesia are moving in the opposite direction to japan and australia?
there can be benefits to adopting crypto as the report states about australia who are looking to attract fintech startups,
they obviously see a benefit to their economy from it.
Funny, I would even say that the likes of Indonesians are the ones I normally see accepting Bitcoin.

By the way, I don’t think they did anything wrong or maybe banned Bitcoin. It says they banned Bitcoin as a payment method, and not that they banned it as a whole. Well, in my own understanding, they were right, bitcoin is never a payment method but just an investment. People are taking this too far.
