4881  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Only Exclusive Items on: October 23, 2017, 06:06:27 PM
Does anyone know of retailers which sell goods/services for crypto only with no option of payment made in fiat?

Could this represent a good business model for a small store with an online only presence?

There must be some holding alts who are fustrated by the lack of options in terms items they can spend their coins on. While there are many options for bitcoin, for the most part alts are neglected and there isn't a huge market where they can be utilized without first having to convert to btc.

Could support for ripple, eth, bcc, doge, ltc, dash and other alts be a good foundation upon which to build a small business?

 Huh
There are presently so many of them and more are springing up by the day. I have no idea how the market is fairing for them, but I am sure if it is not doing good, most of them would have closed up and reconsider by now. It is a good thing having full crypto only store for ecommerce and it is really going to be pretty awesome seeing people have the chance to make use of their coin to purchase things like in the real world/ecommerce world raided with fiats.

However, if considering alts, it is necessary to consider how fair enough they have been in the market, but having so many of them at once, I feel will be too much. Probably, it is best if just concentrating on only 5 with good support.
4882  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: October 23, 2017, 03:35:40 PM
I have not even heard it at all if there is definitely can be used as additional income later. I still often buy and hold various types of coins to make a profit and keep trying to follow various kinds of airdrop.
There are some websites like freebitco.in or crypto-games.net that gives you a certain percentage daily or weekly (very low though) and can be considered as something that can give you some good stuff if you have much of bitcoin anyway.

However, even though some of these sites have been around for long, it is still a risky way to invest, but if you trust them, you can leave your funds in your wallet there and let it be increasing, possibly, that increase might amount to something pretty huge in future. If you have skills you can offer, that is just the best way to earn something good.
4883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term BTC Investment Is No More on: October 23, 2017, 12:40:57 PM
With bitcoin value increasing to new heights every day or week, is long term investment of bitcoin in alts no more? Because with the increase of value in bitcoin, all alts suffer and their value in bitcoin decreases even if they are stable enough to keep their value in dollar sustained.

So all one can earn from such long term trade is a loss in bitcoin.

So, is short term trading alts the only option or even that is too risky for now and holding could be the only option.

And for buying alts, one should use dollar instead of bitcoin.
Some of them are receiving their death sentence pretty soon, no doubt about that, while only few of the strong ones will last eventually. It is long overdue for some of the alts to get out of the market anyway. However, like I said, all alts cannot die and some of them will still thrive.

It is understandable that as the value keeps rising, most of them still keep suffering and it is just best to hold what you have now in BTC so you don't keep losing on the alts pending when everything will get stabilized.
However, long term BTC investment still remains and you can buy no matter how little cause the little you buy today will amount to something big tomorrow. No doubt!
4884  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be Taxed...... on: October 23, 2017, 08:31:30 AM
How can they taxed something that is anonymous are they going to inspect each block of transaction in order to charge them with the right fees ?
Maybe this is only possible through a third party site that is controlled by government like for example trading or exchange sites but they will surely be out of business as bitcoin users prefer decentralized exchanges than the one's controlled by government. In any case it will be highly diffucult how tracking and bitcoin users total earning because of it's blockchain technology.
If they’re going to charge Bitcoin users tax, I don’t think they will be doing it directly like it’s normally done, charging everyone taxes by the end of the month.
What they will do is charge the Bitcoin companies heavy taxes that will increase the fees we’re being charged for transactions.
4885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam or real ico on: October 20, 2017, 07:42:57 PM
All ICO's are scams until they start being regulated Angry. Some kid with his apple mac is soon gonna create another Ico and scam lots of folks again... Angry
I am pretty sure you have been scammed by an ICO before. Grin Not all are scams anyway as so many of them are really doing pretty good right now. However, the regulation will only help those who always find it hard to make research on their own to find the best project they can invest in.

Most people today do not even research more on the project, once they just see the graphic design on the site and all the English, and plenty of promises, they just fall for it and that is just pretty bad for a reasonable investor to do.
4886  Economy / Economics / Re: What would benefit bitcoin more? on: October 19, 2017, 06:28:54 PM
What do you think will benefit it?
Many other sites use bitcoin as a means of payment so that's what can benefit us if it has bitcoin
There is always one thing about starting first and seeing what it is going to be like.
Most people or sites are always scared of making the first move and I believe some are still scared of the volatility and gradually waiting for when the time would be right to opt in without having to get their capital tied down for too long in the process. A time would come when all these would be easy and we start seeing merchants, it is just a matter of time.
4887  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: October 19, 2017, 03:43:16 PM
I guess mining is what you're looking for. Ark has a voting system where they give out new coins every week, so that also might be useful. The profits will still depend on the value of the coin tho.

Sometimes mining isn't stable because it's difficulty is increasing but still profit is there so yes this can generate a passive income. And while he is holding his bitcoins, he can mine and trade at the same time this is one of the best way to generate passive income but in trading he should be aware that it's like holding and just keep an eye to the coins that he's been holding and sell it whenever there's a gain already.
Mining gives a passive income but needs a huge investment which cannot be afforded by everyone. Profits in mining depends in the number of blocks found and the difficulty in mining. But the income could be estimated and it is a steady income.

As compared to trading and rest all activities, they don't have steady income because the profits and losses are constant there.
Even if you are ready for investment and need stable income than you can start investing your bitcoins in a good investment scheme on a daily interest basis and even you can have a good steady income there.
4888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex. What happen? on: October 19, 2017, 02:28:45 PM
Now I'm really concerned about the accusations of people about Bittrex, I have a couple of coins and BTC there and when I read some negative feedbacks about accounts being disabled and can't withdraw I tried to log in to my account but I had no problems with it nor was my account disabled but I'm afraid if I'm not able to withdraw or the next time I log in I would be disabled too, I hope they fix this issue right away.
People get panic pretty fast and always end up sending unnecessary wrong messages rather than relaxing and taking their time to see where fault could have generated from.

Lots of new regulations are introduced most times by regulatory authority and to keep the system on, and not end up getting shut down while users lose their funds, then they always take precautionary measures. Unverified accounts were targeted the way I ended up seeing it.
4889  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: October 19, 2017, 10:39:52 AM
It is just the bridge or the way to distribute fair and neutral wealth to the society and to the people who knows crypto. Central banks, Goverment and any other Authorities in charge for the regulation for the wealth and currency controls and manipulate it for their own selfish reasons like pigs and crocodiles, blockchain technology introduce the freedom and fair way to manage and control your own wealth but the change is always depends to the people.
Fair and neutral wealth to people who got to know crypto first, going with the trend further… The earlier you adopt it, the better.

It doesn’t have to be fair. We cannot expect to have equal distribution of wealth and that was not the main plan. The essence was to have a decentralized currency so as to take away the control from the government and banks.

Those who believed in it and took the risk are already made and nothing anyone can do about it, whoever is in it now and is taking the best advantage of it, will definitely not be compared to someone who comes in the next two years and so on.
4890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to get safe in myetherwallet (MEW) on: October 19, 2017, 08:58:58 AM
I won't recommend anyone to use MEW if you are holding only ETH there. Instead try blockchain online wallet. They are pretty old in this business of providing wallet service to the crypto community and recently opened up for ETH as well. MEW can be used only for tokens. If you are not an investor in token ICOs and just earn from various bounty campaigns, the NEW is a good choice because you are most likely to see that tokens as soon as it is listed in EtherDelta exchange. But for holding proper ETH, don't go NEW as the security feature is not impressive. I am only using NEW for token holding and related transactions, but not for original ETH.
Most people hold MEW and make use of it cause of ERC20 tokens and that is the only way you can access it anyway unless you move your tokens to an exchange. So once this account is compromised, not just your ETH but all your assets in tokens you have been holding gets compromised too.

I honestly do not like the security features for MEW but you just have to be very careful since that is the only thing available right now but I really hope something better can come up later on.
4891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins bounty campaigns are waste on: October 19, 2017, 07:39:54 AM
Recently i took part in couple of bounty campaigns, and i though i can earn some decent amount through it...but it was a total waste...i took part in targetcoin and coss ico campaign and after 2-3 months i recieved the bounty which is worth only about 8 USD including both Embarrassed it was just total waste of effort and time
targetcoin is shit, I join fb and twitter campaign 1 month and they only give me 25 TGT,, really??
but not all Bounty ICO is annoying like TGT,, theres many ICOs have good project and find ICOs who have good manager.
I can imagine how worthless that is cause I got 750TGT and it is even trying so hard to hit $12 presently. Sometimes, you just might not really know how an ICO will end up, but from the look of things even when I joined the TGT bounty, it looked disorganized, so I was not surprised at all.

Most important thing is to look for a project with a good product and is willing to give out a good number of the coins to the users. Long term holding too can really be a good thing for some of them, so just have patience.
4892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC price surge when Coinbase starts accepting BCH withdrawals? on: October 18, 2017, 06:11:19 PM
Coinbase will open up for Bitcoin Cash withdrawals on January 1st, 2018. Will users dump their Bitcoin Cash into Bitcoin, and do you think it'll boost Bitcoin's price in any significant way?

This will pump bitcoin cash,it won`t dump it.If such a major player like Coinbase shows support to bitcoin cash, this builds more trust, which means that more people will buy BCH.
This might create some speculation bubble for BCH,and when the bubble bursts, some people might return to
the real bitcoin.
How will releasing the Bitcoin Cash to the users pump BCC's price. I believe this coin is already in circulation and the users are just going to have the chance to withdraw what is already in existence from what they got from their fork, not like it is a fresh new buy.

If they decide to hold, then it might not really have huge impact on BCC as the value remains, unless we see another huge pump for buy ins. However, anything that causes another huge dump most especially if it is a great number of BCC supply, it will definitely bring down the value.
4893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: job and trading together.. on: October 18, 2017, 05:11:31 PM
I think I can earn limited amount of money every month. I want to invest my money in trading. How can I get a good
a good amount profit every month??How I research the market? How to find out the good coin to invest? Thanks in advance ....
Yes, you really can but you should understand that trading is not just a child's play and since you have a good job, you might just be better off, HODLing and probably diversifying your portfolios by holding some Altcoins as well.

However, if you really want to trade while on the job, you can watch the movement of some of the top altcoins and watch out for their dips and then buy and hold for a long term and sell once high and watch out for dips again.
4894  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: It is good to invest money to a btc doubler mining sites??? on: October 18, 2017, 03:12:58 PM
it is good to invest money to a btc doubler miner sites?? Undecided Undecided
I don't  think  investing your money in bitcoin doubler mining sites as the could be some times scam and also if it is real there is no need to invest them in this things we our self can double the in investing in trading or we can personally mine bitcoin and earn very high income. Many people in the world have started mining from very small rate and now the mine a very big amount of BTC from the miners.

Investing in this doubling sites or groups is always risky because there is no chance of getting our money back in the future and none of them are trusted I think.
4895  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How do I go around mining bitcoins? on: October 18, 2017, 12:19:02 PM
Hi as a new beginner of bitcoins. I need some professional help and guidance. I have several questions and I hope that by starting this topic other newbies like me can also receive help.

The questions are as below:
1. What do I need to start mining bitcoin?
2. Where do I mine bitcoin from?
3. Is it really efficient if your electrical bills are really expensive?
4. What is the most efficient way to mine for bitcoin?

I really hope that you guys can help me answer these questions.
I thank you all in advance.  Smiley
To do bitcoin mining you need a processor to calculate mining specific maths problems as a miner does or you can just  buy a miner and start mining directly but in computer there is a need of installing some additional software to start mining.

Mined bitcoins are directly sent to you bitcoin address and this are the bitcoins coming  from the transaction fees all around the world. It is efficient when you are doing it at large scale or by purchasing a miner so you could get nice and affordable income but doing it at small scale is not much profitable.
4896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEW Scam Email on: October 18, 2017, 11:33:36 AM
We really need to be careful. I recently read that the same MEW spam emails began to spread over one of the airdrop that advertised on the forum. Thank you for opening this topic, it will certainly help many to be more cautious.
That is just it! We just have to be careful and make sure we analyze every tiny details so we don’t fall into scams like this. This is really why so many old folks are always skeptical about getting involved in the internet age as things can really get messy within few seconds and it just takes too much toll on them monitoring their every movements.

Everyone should just be smart and always question everything until they are sure even if it is from the right source.
As long as you will be referring with this community for cross checking then you will be into safer side. Yes, double checking the information from unreliable resources will safe guard us.
4897  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: I sent bitcoin from blockchain but it was delay 7 days on: October 18, 2017, 10:06:14 AM
I sent bitcoin from blockchain but it is still unconfirmation .

I am waiting to now is 7 days .

I checked that transaction in my history in blockchain but it's not show .

I don't understand what's happen with blockchain

Anyone can help me ....
There is no way you would have sent a transaction successfully the right way and it would not show cause that is the only way you can get your transaction ID for verification to know if it has been confirmed or not.

How about your balance, has it been deducted ? If you can get your transaction ID, you can make use of some services[1] on the forum that can help you speed up your transaction.

[1] You can find few free bitcoin tx accelerating services from service section.
4898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chart of the Day | Bitcoin's price correcting to $5500 on: October 18, 2017, 05:30:05 AM
i don't think we can call this "correction" "people cashing out", and stuff like that. this price movement that we are currently witnessing looks mostly like an uncertain market to me. where people don't yet know what they are going to do. there are swings up and down to $5700+ and back to below $5500. rinse and repeat.

i think it is going to continue this way through this week too. until it is decided which way to go. maybe by breaking out of some resistances.
The market has always been uncertain and traders are really having a filled day. Bitcoin has given so many huge surprises in the past that makes it so unpredictable even for the huge guys. However, whales are trying their best to get some profit and I bet they are trying to see how the market is going to fair before they take the next step. Anything below support now is not good and anything above present resistance is just going to be another huge break, but who knows which would come first?
4899  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC speculation before fork on: October 18, 2017, 02:53:53 AM
which hard fork is it you are talking about? Wink
the bitcoin gold one which is in about 10 days now, seems to have a positive effect on price and it is driving it high. although I believe it is not the only reason for this rally but also I say it has been a factor. and it will continue on this path and it is possible that we see the $6000 be touched.

the bitcoin SegWit2x fork is a different beast. I think it can have the reverse effect. as in causing a drop like the bitcoin cash (or the UASF SegWit split threat) caused. if we can get over that successfully like before I don't see anything else in the future can cause a similar threat to bitcoin price.
You are right with the bitcoingold., However, the segwit 2x is just going to be another positive one once all the users understand that 2x cannot fly. Segwit2x is just another attack on bitcoin core which from enlightenment, lots of support is already dropping for it.

Users are beginning to understand the miners are only trying to use this as a way to gain control and relieving the power from users.

As it is now, we are the power and I am sure no reasonable person wants to leave there investments in the hands of some so called greedy miners or companies, more like clamoring for centralization when we already have the sweet decentralization going on.
4900  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: October 17, 2017, 05:49:20 PM
Sweden is contemplating to stop using cash by 2023, does this mean cash might be extinct if other countries follow suit?

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/10/sweden-could-stop-using-cash-by-2023?utm_content=buffer40bef&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer
I think cash is impossible to be extinct because not all people know digital currency so they will not be able to cope up with that. Maybe some people in some countries like Sweden can do that but not all. But lets be open for all the possibilities. Also, no one knows what will happen in the future so lets wait and see.
Just the kind of thing I was expecting someone to say. You see, most of us don’t really understand what Bitcoin is all about, cause they lack understanding.

Bitcoin wasn’t made to replace cash, and mind you, no community can live without cash; people will always need physical form of money they could rely on, whether it’s dollars, stones, gold, silver or whatever. So saying cash will be extinct is absolute foolishness. They’ve been around in the beginning and will always remain.
