5241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tech Support for Unobtanium Newcomers on: March 28, 2017, 07:55:26 PM
I have the same problem but mine says 2 days instead of 80 weeks. It got so close that I was sure it was almost complete but it stuck there. If you can find out what is the reason behind this or at least learn how to overcome this would you be kind enough let us know why or at least how you overcome this so we could do the same thing for our wallets?

edit:
@BitcoinNational thanks for instructions...let me try it.
5242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How DASH is stealing investors money - pyramid scheme revealed. on: March 28, 2017, 07:45:07 PM
I know the same answer has been given already but taking the 1000 masternode question at hand, isn’t that simply trusting your own coin to do well and turning out to be right? I wouldn’t even hold it against them if they kept it. I mean they took the leap early and got it and now they worth something and we expect them to give to us? I wouldn’t do it but I hope they would.
5243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNO STORAGE VAULT DOESN'T SYNC on: March 28, 2017, 06:57:18 PM
I tried all the suggestions on this thread but none of them shows any improvements for me, I am stuck at 2 days instead of 80 weeks like the OP but nothing changes it, I even deleted my wallet all together and redownloaded and reinstalled but it got stuck at 2 days again. Is there anyway knowing why it is? How could I overcome this?
5244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Traders ROOM - Cryptocurrency Trading and Investment Discussion chat room on: March 27, 2017, 04:15:09 PM
I joined recently, there are very civil discussions about the altcoin markets and not just p&d talks.
You can find out about the rise and fall of altcoins depending on the chart reading of experts in the room. Highly recommended.
5245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taxation on the alts on: March 27, 2017, 03:04:02 PM
Theres no tax is being implemented on either bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Government is not in control on any transactions being made on blockchain because it decentralize. Maybe you are reffering to fees if you are going to exchange you monero to bitcoin. Well, thats depends on exchange fees. Some exchange are charging low fees and some are not. You should go here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0
Yes,I do agreed on this matter. That's why the government of each nation can't control it because of the decentralization of bitcoin has. so that there is no any taxes nor even in the crypto or altcoins. But I knew majority of the government are really planning to give any tax once they approve to become legalize the virtual currencies. But that's not I think will going to be happen.
yes government cannot impose tax on anything which is not yet consider as legal, and they can only put tax on such items which are legal in a country.
yes that is right, and i think government must be thinking about how to legalize bitcoin because they can get such a good amount from bitcoin if they will impose tax on bitcoin  so they will now try to legalize bitcoin.
Right now, bitcoin is still not regulated because people still don’t use it to make huge incomes, but I am pretty sure when the bitcoin prices reaches something like $2000 or more taxes will become a thing since people will start making a ton of money from it, but trading it with small amounts is always a solution.
5246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to sell bitcoins on an exchange on: March 27, 2017, 07:54:24 AM
I wonder how I am supposed to sell bitcoins on an exchange. I have been considering several and have gone through the KYC/AML process for three exchanges. The problem is once I sell my coins they might ask me to prove where I got them from. Keep in mind I am not intending to withdraw the FIAT, I just want to sell high and rebuy lower, and withdraw the coins.

The problem with proving the source of my coins is, how the hell do I do it? I bought them on MtGox and they can't ask MtGox for verification. Even if they did, the coins have gone through several addresses over the years. I can't even trace it back to the MtGox purchase since they went through other exchanges (and got mixed).

So what is one supposed to do here?

I don't know what your talking about your story experience, but the only things I know when I'm selling my bitcoin in yobit exchange platform I do trade it in dollar usd.
The question is being you going to get taxed on it, I mean for some people and some countries you are not allowed to exchange any foreign currency, and that includes bitcoin, and receiving money from sources that are not stated and for things that are not real is illegal, this is the current problem of bitcoin that it is not stated in a law directly, because it is not considered real money.
5247  Economy / Economics / Re: Want to Be a Millionaire? Two Main Rules of Bitcoin Investing on: March 27, 2017, 07:26:57 AM
i say there is only one key strategy to becoming a millionaire with bitcoin and that is a very simple one:

step one: buy bitcoin as much as you can.
step two: move these coins to a secure cold storage and make enough proper backups.
step three: close bitcointalk, reddit and any other bitcoin related place where random people can register and anonymously spread bullshit.
step four: your mind is now at peace.
step five: in at least a year check price and thank me.

Interesting strategy; but buying today about $1000 per coin and after one year if there is a hard fork and a split of the block chain and bitcoin has lost its value or maybe someone is in the wrong side of the chain what will be happen? All about bitcoin's future and price are only rumors and speculation. Everyone has to do his/her own research and decide himself without to be affected by anyone.
Right now with the current price, it is tough to put $1000 into a whole bitcoin considering it is not a sure thing, I mean investing in it a while ago was good because it was a new thing and everyone wanted to support it but with time going by I don’t want to be a bad person here but bitcoin is becoming lam aside from the fees.
5248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BU attack on: March 25, 2017, 04:18:30 PM
why people are so idiotic to dump for this, and go for altcoin, that were proven to be much more unstable, this hard fork will not damage the market value but the investors yes, they are damaging it with their fud and panic sell for nothing, are all the investors be in the known about what this hard fork are for?
I don’t get why people switching to altcoin all of the sudden I mean it is not the first time that the prices of the bitcoin has gone down, it is not the end of it is merely a small dump and will always go up, and I think alt coin traders are making an advantage of this promoting their markets in order to get people to invest more and make their prices go up.
5249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Joe Reno NBA Picks/Predictions on: March 25, 2017, 04:09:30 PM
It is a good thing that you are posting your tips but we need also to see your reasons why did you pick or choose that bet . We need to see that you are analyzing each bets you share with us. And also it is better if you can edit your bets if they win or they lose so that we can be able to see your win/lose progress. Thank you and Goodluck.

Yeah that would make us a bit mlre at ease but i from experience your predictions would be as good as mine though i don't think it would be as accurate as you say, i'd pretty much make the same prediction as you. I also want to knownif you're basing these predictions solely on your experience and knowledge of nba games
The reasons would help a lot but also more details of where he bets, how much he bets would bring more credibility as well. If we see where he bets and how much that would show us he believes in his picks and he actually bets them himself as well. That way it would bring us to realize if this guy actually believes in his bets (if he bets himself as well that means he really trusts his bets) or not.
5250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BUcoiners are trolling you into buying alts on: March 25, 2017, 03:58:14 PM
If this whole thing was orchestrated to create a crisis in Bitcoin and a run to Alt coins, then these people are more clever than what we first

anticipated. It would make sense that someone could buy loads of Alt coins in advance and then create a crisis in Bitcoin and then guide people

towards a alternative solution < the Alt coin they bought > and then wait for the price to rise and then gradually start selling as the price rise.

It will be easier when you have a cult following that follows you like a sheep.  Roll Eyes

Better said mate. I really feel that there is someone? Roll Eyes behind this whole alt coin pumping going on. And this someone, also creating the crisis right now on the bitcoin ecosystem. So its gonna be a win-win situation for them. Create schism, buy alt coins, create FUD, bitcoin holders panic, sold bitcoin -> continue to create more schism-> Hard fork and then they won. That's what they think.
Yeah, I totally agree it does not matter if BUcoiners are tricking people into believing in altcoins and making them buy it as long as it is working and they are believing it and the prices are going up there is no harm in putting some money into it to make some profit as long as it is lasting, you just got to ride the wave not fight it.
5251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time to short Bitcoin? on: March 23, 2017, 07:23:24 AM
Today prices are showing huge upside momentum hence we can expect prices continue its rarely and this time it may break $1300 levels to test $1350 and then $1400 levels before making any U turn. As per my technical analysis this is not the right time to short bitcoins.

The major exchanges are showing good volume in the buyer side which must be counted as the supporting sentiment among traders for another huge rally. This is happening after bitcoin Unlimited faces sudden crash problems, it is believed people will continue their support for bitcoin core and hence we can expect more investors to adopt bitcoins.

Price is normal in bitcoin and we must know price being volatile in the btc chart. Yesterday it touched 1100$ but today again it dump back to 1000$. We already started getting good adoption from 2014 to present that why we crossed plus value in the chart. Hope we should more adopters to pull the value up more than now. Just ignore the trollers a side.
It is really easy to adopt to the current bitcoin flow and the market, the prices may change but the same concept still remains, whenever there is a big spike in price it is always followed by a fall because of people dumping and then it is followed by a big spike and so on, the idea is that the price always goes back up no matter what.
5252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Payment method to trade with and allow Visa withdrawal? on: March 23, 2017, 07:06:20 AM
I'm really not afraid of getting my bank account closed as I won't be doing anything shady, I'm also not asking for bitcoin debit cards most of them either don't accept my country or have limits on it which I can't raise even my providing my ID details. Instead, I need a service like PayPal that accept linking a Visa Card to be able to trade my bitcoins with and eventually withdraw to that visa card that I made my on local bank.

Yeah, bitcoin is used in legal ways too(that's what actually should), I wouldn't worry too as everything will be legal, I'm thinking too for a similar way how to find a way to link a local bank account with bitcoin and use on both ways. Have you decided which one to choose yet or any other indirect way to solve this issue?
i think most of the people are using bitcon for legal activities and may be a very little number of people may be using it for illegal activities, hope in future bitcoin will be only use for legal activities.
Quite the opposite actually, many people are still don’t know a thing about the hidden intenrnet, probably you don’t know this so look it up on google, the internet we surf every day from facebook and twitter and this forum are only 30% of the actual internet the other 70% is split between dark nets and black markets where drugs hacking and even guns get bought and sold and what do you think they use to hide their asses, no other than the bitcoin so imagine the value of the transaction they go in their compared to the ones that we do.
5253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to do trading? on: March 21, 2017, 04:41:28 PM
Trading platforms normally charge a fee don't they also - unless you find somewhere like localbitcoins which may not charge a fee - yobit.net or bitfinex may also have low rates as well as coinbase.com (which is 1%)?
Price at localbitcoins is way higher than in normal trading platforms so it will be expensive to buy from such p2p based platform. Look at price difference between localbitcoin and coinbase you will find out how much expensive it is to buy from LB.
Yes, that is true, but although the buy prices for the bitcoin in local bitcoin are high that makes them a perfect platform for selling bitcoin, and all the p2p platforms are like that because they usually have a limited amount of bitcoin to sell not like the other platforms which are constantly buying bitcoin, so a good trading opportunity would be buying from coin base or any other trading platform and selling them on local bitcoin.
5254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin became a byword / always a subject of discussion on: March 19, 2017, 04:10:33 PM
I rarely heard people talk about Bitcoin in my physical life - maybe it is because I don't "stalk" or "listen" to what others say as it is very disrespectful. That aside, when I heard people talk to another person about Bitcoin (myself included), the top two response is "What's that?" and "Isn't that for criminals to buy drugs?". For the first response, the person who initiate the discussion will explain Bitcoin as an online investment scheme - personally, I tend to promote Bitcoin as an online currency rather than investment. And then try to get the other person to join. For the second response, most will fight back that Bitcoin is also use for online legit purchase (my style) or investment. And then ... try to get the person into this new technology (again).

Yea, having Bitcoin as a conversation starter is never a good idea... because a lot of people have heard a lot of bad things about Bitcoin in the

media. You start off with a disadvantage... I usually buy cool things with bitcoins and once I start bragging how easy and secure it was, they tend

to listen. People are always looking for a good bargain or a way to make good money. I always brag about Bitcoin being the Best performing

currency and commodity and then the questions come.  Grin
Most people have the wrong idea about bitcoin and the true use of it, and it is a good thing to always talk about the value and how much the bitcoin is worth when starting a conversation about it, because if there is one thing that people love more than food is money, and telling them how much you make from it and how easy it is to use it you keep them interested in the conversation and in knowing more about it.
5255  Economy / Economics / Re: how much do you earn with 25$ investment on: March 18, 2017, 07:01:08 PM
Hmm .. with 25 dollars you cannot do bitcoins price trading and you would end up loosing if you start alt coins trading. So the best way to earn more with 25 dollars is that you find little jobs and accumulate bigger amount and once you have got that you try to start some service or invest in a legitimate site like maybe bitdice.me where they accept investments too.
5256  Economy / Economics / Re: Two Visions for Bitcoin on: March 14, 2017, 08:40:40 PM
I am a crypto 2 but a bitcoin 6.

The problem for me is that Bitcoin could and should be the answer, but it is becoming bloated and slow. The new sleeker and faster alts are usually scams or junk though, so we are left with Bitcoin to solve the problems of fiat.

I think it is a shame how things are going with Bitcoin. It is all about the price, but the actual development doesn't really seem to be happening. I never fair to be disappointed by the lack of opportunities to use Bitcoin.
Yeah, I guess that thing should get fixed fast because the way I see it bitcoin is becoming like any other payment method out there, it is starting to take a long time a,d take fees for it, and that is why we left them in the first place and started to use bitcoin and I am sure many people thinks so as well.
5257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Fraud on: March 13, 2017, 12:00:01 AM
Assuming a merchant accept Bitcoin,

You as a shopper, place an order, and that merchant did not deliver, or sent to the wrong address, or sent a fake product.

You can not reverse the payment, you can get your bitcoins back, and the only thing you can do it leave a negative feedback.

Of course, there are many other scenarios, like phishing websites, fake websites, selective scams, and so on

What are your thoughts and ideas to prevent these scams.
There are less cases where a seller scams as compared to the buyer's scams and hence if chargebacks are allowed almost all the sellers would be worried. This is actually the biggest drawback with paypal and a reason why mos of the people prefer bitcoins over paypal.
And how can a seller scam man ? I mean you would of course buy from genuine and verified users, no ?
5258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to start a bitcoin casino on: March 10, 2017, 10:55:26 PM
It is actually very good idea to get the users balance in a fixed currency like EUR as you said because many gamblers panic that the price rise or fall may alter their actual winnings and in this case since the value remains in EUR they can be assured that it does not happen. Though honestly opening a casino right now is very tough task particularly with so many already there.

5260  Economy / Speculation / Positive news for Chinese players : We are going to see $2000 in March itself ? on: March 07, 2017, 01:56:37 PM
PBOC cleared no banning of exchanges but only close monitoring. Does it mean we are going to see Chinese traders influencing bitcoin prices again. I really want to watch their exchange volumes to outnumber rest of world's.
