4781  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: November 23, 2017, 07:00:46 AM
It seems to me that Amazon would not be the first in making payment of the bitcoin. It seems to me that the top managers of the company are not oriented in the modern world. They use the topic of bitcoin for self-promotion. This allows them to be free in the top of the news. It seems to me that a little time will pass and people will stop paying attention to the news. This niche will be filled by someone else.
You think they are not oriented ? These guys know so much than you can imagine but you cannot just expect them to quickly embrace it just like that when it is still in its early stage, looking at its level of volatility.

However, we have to understand that purse has been doing something related to this with the use of escrow and it is just a matter of time before you see people getting used to it, once amazon hit their own ecosystem with the digital currency.

It is really an example and with the fact that amazon is a giant player in the FMCG industry, it would really drive others and even the smaller ones, to start going through with it as time goes on and as it gets broaden. There would be a lot of benefit to this and for everyone who has some bitcoins now and for those who will even get in later as it would make payment means for products most especially across the borders very easy.
4782  Economy / Economics / Re: China's complicates Bitcoins miners on: November 23, 2017, 02:36:20 AM
Doesn't make much sense for them to ban if they can make money off excess electricity that is going to go to waste if left unused right?

I mean why would they say no to free money?
They are not banning and even with the rumor about not giving the miners preference when it comes to electricity which for whatever reasons, does not mean that mining won't go on. Best that would ever happen is the difficulty reducing and more miners even finding a way to step in.

The community in itself just likes creating FUDs unnecessarily and if they like they should be unfriendly to the bitcoin ecosystem, but they should already know by now that they really can make so little impact on bitcoin's growth.

Bitcoin is for the community, who gets raped by bank fees.

Their KYC and AML procedures are also really annoying. So it is good idea to leave all that 3rd parties aside Smiley
Third parties are the main essence why the traditional systems have always sucked and then we get control even on the ways we spend or make international transactions which even sucks the more. It is high time really we dropped them to one side and get ourselves the freedom we really deserve.

My main reason of getting into bitcoin was to make payment to an international merchant and since then, I have never found it hard. No matter how high the transaction fee I am supposed to pay with bitcoin, it cannot be as high as what I would have paid with western union even after being limited.
4784  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is it possible to use bitcoin like offline currency? on: November 22, 2017, 02:15:03 PM
I think using bitcoin as an offline currency will reduce its security in a way...
I don’t really think so that it will be possible for anyone of us to use bitcoin and that too as on offline currency. It is because of the reason that bitcoin is a digital currency and the most important thing which you need to have for dealing with all the crypto currencies is none other than that of an internet connection. There is no way that you can use them like that of other regular currencies.
I can see a lot of people have raised this point so I would not really need to reiterate, but I have to point out that everything is going digital even with fiats and most times we have to ask in most countries with high use of digital age, the last time they really made use of paper currency or offline currency as the case may be here.

It started gradually and like someone rightly said, I have held $100 in my wallet for a very long time without even spending. Sure, cryptocurrencies are digital and you need internet, but does that mean innovations won't come that would not require you to log in to your wallet all the time ?

I have seen the likes of crypterium, centra and some other like Javvy coming up with stuffs like this, I guess we just have to wait and see.
4785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is is still a good time to Invest in Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2017, 10:31:43 AM
I think that it`s quite late for the new investors ,who want to jump in and buy bitcoins.
They might make some profits for sure, but the huge profits will stay for the big whales and early adopters who
bought bitcoin a few years ago and continue to hold. You have experience with forex trading and you have to already know that nobody can predict the market and searching for such advice is pointless.
If you know how to trade, you probably know how to make technical and fundamental analysis, use your skills.
Sure, we cannot discard the fact that bitcoin will still remain a currency that have been able to set the early adopters up for life. However, one thing I would not agree with it is assuming that bitcoin has reached its peak. So many people thought bitcoin reached its peak when it was $10 - $15 and then we have it here now.

The thing is, bitcoin can increase more than this and of course making some new set of people rich and then whether we like it or not, at some point, there will always be the last people who will come to the show, who may only enjoy it mainly for the usage value rather than it being an asset.
4786  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin falls 20% a day on: November 22, 2017, 08:25:28 AM
Do you choose to hold or sell? I choose to continue holding.
 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

it happened and it will happen many days in the future , that's what making crypto market crazy these days cause the price isn't moving steadily
you can easily see bitcoin and other alts going up or down 20% or more suddenly , and usually these based on bad or good news
selling when the price dump is so crazy , so you either hold or buy more

so you should expect these things if you are totally newbie
Obviously, this is a pattern that we should always expect and as far as I am concerned, it is more like a pattern that is trying to give some people some chance to pick up back at the point where they preciously missed. It is then left for each individual on how they really want to make use of those moments for their own benefit.

My answer will be buy more coin. I Dont think about sell my bitcoin. Bitcoin soon will be hit $1000 than I will sell some coin than will wait for next dump.
Really, I see no reason why anyone should panic anyway. Bitcoin has always shown some patterns like this and at that dip stage, people always buy more knowing if they do not utilize the chance to make that profit from the dip, they may never get that opportunity again. For me, I will just keep buying until the last dip, and then keep laughing as usual when it keeps coming right back up.
4787  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Equipment for trading on: November 22, 2017, 06:27:29 AM
Hey people,

Just wanted to know which set up is the best for trading, because i need to get a new laptop and really thinking about going for a macbook.
Trading is not possible with a Ipad Pro.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Greetings

Exchanges sites like Bittrex or Poloniex lag a bit to my PC sometimes the Browser is not responding at all loosing great opportunities to trade to a certain coin because i have a crappy core 2 duo system so my advice was to go for decent laptop with a stable internet connection go for mac book if you have a budget to afford it, for Ipad pro or even Android phone i think it is not possible because the price movement is not good for real time monitoring, you need to refresh to look for an update which is not convenient i tried it on chrome android version so it's not possible.
Funny enough, I make use of a core 2 duo system as well, although not crappy but I can say it has been able to stand the test of time and I am using it to trade on these two platforms beautifully well.

It might be your RAM is low and you have a lot of applications or websites with high RAM usage opened all at once which could be causing the lag. However, depending on the browser you are using on your smartphone, which in my case I use chrome, real life update on the charts and chart monitoring has never been a problem and so easy to do.
4788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTS (BitShares) on: November 22, 2017, 04:24:27 AM
The little interest in this thread just shows what people think of the project, it started as a very ambitious project, but as time goes it faded in the crowd, there are alot of projects now that Bitshares can't compete with
Lol, there have been so many projects like this, funny enough; they just end up having supports at the end of the day. There was a lot of hope for these coins, but as it is, no one really like losing that much on any coin which can really change their perspective within seconds, and the delisting on bittrex really started the first problem for this coin.

I lost so much holding this coin without quickly knowing it was getting delisted. Seems though that it is trying to have a comeback gradually now. Now with so many projects coming up like you said, the competition is so high that BTS may not even stand a chance.
4789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The next financial crisis and cryptocurrencies. on: November 21, 2017, 06:11:01 PM
The next crisis is already in motion for the subprime auto loans, student debt loan, and the re-inflated housing bubble.  than you also have the high yield junk bonds problem, high p/e ratio for big companies, increasing inflation, high unemployment rate,  Saudi's transitioning to China and the yuan, effectively killing the petrol dollar and our ability to print money out of thin air to pay of things, no manufacturing infrastructure due to outsourcing, explosion of domestic retailers closing shop, and the list goes on and on.
I will see it as the best time for cryptocurrencies to shine really. There has always been crisis in the fiat sector as banks have always been there in the background trying to manipulate everything. This would give investors and every other person the idea about cryptocurrency and why decentralization is just the main key to all these bullshit being rubbed on them.

Obviously, no one can really tell what the future really holds right now as we cannot tell. One thing I am sure of is that, financial crisis like this in the fiat world will make investors to even find a better way to store their money and not get manipulated by the system which is highly corrupt and just busy manipulating everything. To the moon, I believe.
4790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the right time to cash out? on: November 21, 2017, 12:17:40 PM
I was so nervous that when bitcoin price dropped to 6000$ I was scared to loose more and withdrew my coins only to regret later that it became 8000$.
Please help me with your advice /opinion.
It is just painful that most of you do not get to ask questions first before making such decisions and when you have panicked and made the wrong decision finish, you then end up dropping your regrets on the forum.

Moreover, you are member and you should have spent a lot of time already on this forum to have been able to understand that bitcoin is volatile and if you had follow the trend for a while, you should have noticed this is a normal trend. However, I believe you have learnt your lessons now.
4791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From 0.1 to 1 BTC in 6 months with Day-Trading on: November 21, 2017, 11:11:17 AM
Day trading and gambling is the one that gives the increased earning access. Here too user needs the luck for such an earning of 0.1 to 1btc in six months time. If the user's prediction about the particular asset coincides, profiting is possible. So, day trading is uncertain, it's our goodness to learn and make the best out of it.
Day trading ? Yes! Gambling ? Come on! I would not really want to try this most especially when I am talking about profit. Gambling is a whole lot to chew when it comes to you not having a really good luck and you can end up losing everything whether you are being careful or not.

However, for day trading, this is something that once you are good, you can at least be guaranteed to make a lot from it and still be able to stay careful without losing as most decisions would always be in your hands.
4792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING ON YOUR ANDROID PHONE on: November 21, 2017, 03:29:42 AM
I am really confused using mining ARM Miner, is it still working today?
Do not stress yourself bro! There is no way mining can be possible with your android phone. Even if you are to use your PC, you will just be as good as generating nothing except you are hoping that what you are mining will one day grow to be a huge value. Some people though, have some free system at work that they make use of to mine Monero but Android or phone is very impossible.

Probably we may just have to wait and see if it would end up possible or not. Electroneum almost tried this and now they are not even sure yet where they are heading to as they have shifted gear by starting with PC mining after all the hype about mobile mining. If it is as easy as it sounds, we would have all started mining with our phones by now.
4793  Economy / Economics / Re: Massive bitcoin manipulation possible? on: November 20, 2017, 04:01:18 PM
Something related with BCH, something going on in these days.
In fact, that is a very simple example. There was a huge manipulation on BCH recently on its value and we all know where that obviously came from.

Some of these guys have funds to do this but they do not have everything to pull all the stunts except they have all the coins to themselves which is not possible. It will only continue and end up stopping at some point.

Bitcoin is not owned by just one person and every one all over the world have some coins in their wallet and the strength of the community these days will not really make a single person to just dump what he has for a lower fee when there are so many people willing to buy at a lower value and get it pumped back.
4794  Economy / Economics / Re: After Slamming BTC As A Money Laundering Tool JPMorgan Busted For Money Launder on: November 20, 2017, 02:35:39 PM
One of the most evil person in world saying that bitcoin is bad, so, i presume it's good
joke apart, i agree with @Youghoor, those conspiracies are real and is worrisome to think about how much control these people have on the market, and not only in the crypto ones.
LOL. Evil person indeed! Really, I would not say they have control on the market and in as much as Jamie's bullshit talk happened during the China's issue was more of a prank to use that incidence to try to drag the market down a little bit more. They have always been used to this but unfortunately it is not something that can keep happening.

It is normal to have weaker hands for a start but as time goes on, same weak hands will get stronger as we keep seeing now and we will be past the issue of some asshole trying to use his speech to manipulate the market. Good for those who believed in him, at least they should see how much he has stolen from them by now.
4795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin Gold in Electrum on: November 20, 2017, 10:59:37 AM
I had Bitcoin in Electrum before the fork. How do I claim Bitcoin Gold now?
I tried using Coinomi, it wants private key of my BTC address
I dont have only one private key in Electrum. I had several addresses and several private keys having bitcoins before the fork. How do I claim now? Is there a way to claim with seed?
https://mybtgwallet.com/ this web site seems fine with seed but it does not have import a BTG wallet option enabled. It says"Because Bitcoin Gold was not released yet, this option is disabled" What the heck seriously?
I would not want to try that https://mybtgwallet.com/ if I were you. I have been hearing some hints of some people losing their funds and the BTG team are investigating how that must have happened right now, so you might want to take a pause on that. For Electrum, I am not sure if it is something you can do now since there has been no direct statement from electrum yet, at least as far as I know.

The best bet is to use your private key, but where to use it is the thing. Since coinomi allows you to input your private key, why not move your BTC from the wallet right now to be on the safe side, and once that is done, you can just use your private key to get your BTG on coinomi.
4796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to play fast on trading ? on: November 20, 2017, 07:19:45 AM
Playing fast could mean buying in to a pump. One thing about pump is that it has a very short lifespan. Pump is always a little longer than flash in a pan. Except you are the one pumping the coin, I will advice you not to get involve. Why? Beause  it doesn't usually ends well!
Depending on the coin and the state of the pump, buying into a pump to me is more like playing dumb and not even playing fast. Flash pumps and dumps can be detected from the previous activities in such coin and most of them are usually shitcoins.

They are always more like playing with fire when you know it would definitely burn you. After all, there are some activities that happen in bitcoin and some of these top altcoins that from your chart analysis, you will know that you should play a fast one or not. In my experience. whenever I go fast, I do slip out from my accuracy. So, making fast profits should not be a motto for any trader.
4797  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: November 20, 2017, 06:13:12 AM
For now it is convenient to use Fiat because the shop that accepting Bitcoin still not too many, but once it being adapted your friends will change their mind, Bitcoin can be used globally and it is decentralized, no party is controlling the value, so the value can reach very high and it is a good investment
Even most of us who are spenders today will still have to convert to fiat in most cases before we can utilize what we have to buy some of the things we need. Still, it is just the way it is for now, and gradually things would change over time when we start seeing more adoption and more usage.

If I can spend what I have without having to convert to fiat, why will I ever want to convert to fiat ? Until then, fiat will still remain easy to use, but does that make me prefer fiat over bitcoin? Absolutely not!
4798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low circulating supply? on: November 20, 2017, 05:02:06 AM
Hi All,

When investing do you guys take into consideration the circulating supply?

I mean some of the coins that are priced well and moving up in price quickly have low circulating supply whereas coins that are cheap have massive circulating supply.

So my question is, is wise not to invest in high circulating supply coins? As the price moves up too slow.

Please let me know your thoughts?

Cheers
Why do you think Doge has not really had a major boost for itself after all this while ?
That is really what makes it interesting. The lower the circulating supply, the lower the initial cap at the early stage, the more the chances for investors to make a lot of money from the increase in value.

There are so many things to look at in a coin when investing in them, which also includes the viability of the coin with a backing project that is going to be usable in the community and the team as well, which are very important if you are thinking of holding for a long term.
4799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will altcoins boom again? on: November 19, 2017, 06:11:38 PM
Is now the time to go all in on altcoins?
That sounds very funny. Go all in all altcoin ? Why would anyone ever want to do that ?
You have to take some measures and not put all you have totally in altcoin as you may end up sweating in your intestine once the unspeakable happens.

No one can predict what can happen anytime and you always have to be careful of the move you make when you are trading. In as much as the chance of altcoins getting pumped is possible, you still have to spread your tentacles little by little so you don't get burnt.
