1661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: December 25, 2019, 03:46:24 PM
yes we can't see the whales, but it doesn't mean there is no whales
we can't know exactly what strategy does whale use, but it doesn't mean it can't be detected

there are a sign in the market that show whale behaviour, if we are strict to see in the market
i.e before pump and dump scheme happened, the volume increased so heavy
I don't expect the whales to come anytime soon and put their money on the market now. let alone to pump without a reason that would benefit them. they come to profit not only to provide benefits for those who faithfully wait for the market to pump again. by the way what sign do you see in the market?

Whales are there and waiting for the right moment. Any quick price change by more than 10% is manipulation. Do you think several hundred investors arrange the same hour to sell their BTC? Of course not. This is one whale that uses bots to make a huge number of transactions in short intervals, which causes panic sell to focus on cheaper BTC. Later, the price increases and slowly sells what he bought cheaply.
1662  Economy / Services / Re: Yobit.net signature campaign on: December 24, 2019, 02:08:32 PM

If you quit the yobit campaign then it won't be able to come back again, the wallet has been refilled, of course many participants are eager to continue using this campaign, but the problem now is that the signatures turn into yobit investbox and there are still many participants who are confused because investbox from yobit many call ponzi schemes.
It depends on your interpretation, thae fact that you have updated your signature with the new one, it's tantamount to saying that you believe they are not a ponzi scheme. Am I right?

There are people who have already made a decision and removed the signature. However, many people have doubts that the system that created Yobit is a ponzi scheme. I have such doubts, but I would prefer that Yobit make corrections and remove information about X10 and 10% from the signature. I hope that this would calm the controversy that has arisen. Yahoo sent a message to Yobit about this. Let's wait for their reply.
1663  Economy / Services / Re: Yobit.net signature campaign on: December 24, 2019, 01:36:42 PM
When the button to transferred is fix, I thought of coming back again, ..
How can you come back when the rules of yobit does not allow you to do so? once you remove the signature, you are out already.
I think you should be aware of that rule, the campaign will continue if they are willing to pay because some users are still eager to wear the signature.

Button is already fixed (Actually campaign walled is refilled).
It is possible that when the signatures pattern changed, there was also a reset of the list of participants, who were kicked because of the signature change in the past.
1664  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: December 24, 2019, 12:59:33 PM
McAfee's a crazy guy. I don't think you should take it very seriously. I'm following from twitter. An exciting character for the Bitcoin market. If McAfee becomes an investor in a project and announces it, it can receive a large amount of investment.

I liked the beginning of your post Wink
Unfortunately, at the end you wrote something that is not true. McAfee did classic pump & dump. I don't know if he bought cheap altcoin before and later announced his pump, or simply someone paid him for it, but it certainly wasn't everything he did completely normal. He is a marketing expert, but I certainly wouldn't trust his predictions, or even words.
1665  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: December 23, 2019, 07:20:46 PM

We have to wait until office announcement from campaign manager about sudden changes what happened in cryptotalk signature campaign and what will the next move it will consider as ponzi promotion or not so I am waiting for yahoo62278 response regarding signature campaign. as my thoughts this is not a ponzi.
You are currently advertising something that promises “guaranteed” returns of 10%.

This is clearly fraudulent in one way or another. You don’t need anyone else to tell you this. If you disagree with this conclusion, your judgment is being clouded by the promise of the payment of a couple dollars per post you make.

Someone explained that 10% is for their coin that they can create how much they want.
The statement is ‘buy [ x] and earn 10%’.

If they are giving 10% out of thin air, you are not actually receiving anything because everyone else is receiving the same ‘payment’ and the value of the coin falls by 10%.

This sounds like a scheme to entice people into buying their shit coin whose price will inevitably go to zero eventually.

They are giving 10% daily of coin that have no value for intelligent investor. If they can create how much supply they want it means that it is centralized coin - like XRP. (so far no scam for me)
I didn't check details, but I would like to know why you call it scheme?
As I know, to call something pyramid, or ponzi scheme there must be covering of earnings from other investors money. I don't see here this kind of scam.
About shitcoin that they want advertise. I checked their exchange and it have value. Maybe it is risky investment, maybe even kind of gambling, but I don't see here scam.
I will not defend them if someone explain me how investement in shitcoin that they want promote, is a scam?

snip

Maybe it is because you didn't change signature. It looks like those who already wear new signature have posts counted.

1667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market currently being manipulated? on: December 20, 2019, 12:32:06 AM
In December, investors are usually more calm than in other months. Due to the fact that there is less transactions on the market, it is much easier to manipulate it. What has happened in recent days is an obvious attempt to lower the price, but fortunately it was not successful and price come back to his previous level. Let's hope that by the end of the year there will be no more such surprises and at the beginning of the year a stable rise in prices will start.
1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XRP repeat last 2017 bull run? on: December 19, 2019, 11:45:25 PM
I personally think that it depends on altseason itself. If altseason happen again in the future, XRP can repeat last 2017 bull run
and the others coin (good coin) can hit anothers ATH too. so, not only for XRP

but once again, it depends on altseason. without altseason I think almost impossible
bcz most of altcoin moves simultanously, not severally

All Altcoins will definitely need a Bitcoin bull run to start growing.
However, XRP is not the same Altcoin as all others. XRP is a centralized coin and at any time there is a danger that developers will create, for example, twice as many coins. In this situation, the price will automatically fall by half. Even if the price of XRP begins to rise, such a danger will always be with this investment.
1669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 19, 2019, 09:36:53 PM
I couldn't hold it back any longer; as I have sold off my major portfolio because of Christmas celebration. This hold started from last year July, 2018 and now, couldn't hold them again as I have sell off my assets because of the pressure from the family members. After the sale of this asset this evening, I was perplexed as how much I just dumped, all in the name of Christmas.

What are your experience: positive or negative.

Precisely due to the fact that many people behaved and behave similarly, I predicted price drops for December. You are not the only person who did this. Even if people do not sell, December is the month in which we invest the least. I think that the price drops are still ahead of us because of such situations ..
1670  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: December 19, 2019, 06:55:24 PM

It seems that none of you have read what the OP of this thread is about, you just read the topic. It is not about free money from bounty or airdrops, but about predictions by John McAfee. He predicted that the price of BTC will be much higher and this is what the thread founder asks.
The answer is that McAfee predicted high price at the end of 2020, so by then everything can happen..

Nice work actually reading the details! So many people fail to pay attention. The current bear market is taking very long to finish, so 2020 could very well be a great year for Bitcoin.

A year is a very long time in the cryptocurrency world. I don't think the Bitcoin price will reach $1M by the end of 2020, but if history repeat and price after halving will start skyrocketing we can see $100k or more. However, we must first make sure that the bears have already finished their season.
1671  Economy / Services / Re: I can assist in cryptotalk.org bounty on: December 19, 2019, 04:21:17 PM
how much gap (in time) is mandatory between two consecutive crypto talk post? 30 mins, 20 mins, 10 mins?
as far as i remember mentioned in either this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188200.0 or in this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188047.0 that at least 30 mins Gap per post or more .

20 - 25 is also good enough.

It's not about time gap, but the value of what you write. If you write posts every 10 minutes, they should not be considered as spam, but it is true that you cannot write valuable posts in such short intervals.

You should write something that will bring something valuable to the discussion, not look for megathreads and write in every 20 minutes, in different words, what has been written several times before.
1672  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: December 19, 2019, 01:37:48 PM
I added the signature and seem to have successfully enrolled at the exchange with my post count set to its current value (minus this post). But I'd like to know what is going to happen when the post counts are updated at some point, and due to a bug in the forum engine the number of posts gets diminished as it happens now and then? Anyone seen that already?

Sorry if this has been asked before

Posts on Yobit dashboard are updated every 3-4 hours and are not counted from the total number of posts. If a post is credited by the Yobit bot, it will still count, even if later is deleted. I mean post deletion has no effect on the counting of posts by the Yobit bot. At least I didn't notice any problems.
1673  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: December 16, 2019, 10:56:41 AM
well, did you make a deal or just say it?
if like that I can also promise anything to other people on the internet.
and also he made news like that just to make fud I guess, and sometimes it works.
not meant to insult you but you are pathetic  Cry

Listening to anyone when it comes to investing money is not good. Many people predict the price of Bitcoin at $100k and even at $1M but they are quickly forgotten. McAfee is a marketing master and that's why we remember his prediction is because he said about eating his d1ck there. And this is just a marketing trick, because even he himself does not believe that the price of Bitcoin in a year will be $1M.
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: December 15, 2019, 03:33:02 PM
I am not to blame if some people only focus on investing in bitcoin, because investing in bitcoin is the safest. But according to
my opinion I should not have all the capital that we have invested in bitcoin, it would be nice to partially invest in altcoins too.
Because there are some very good potential altcoins, which can generate profits in the future. Altcoins that I highly recommend
are ETH, BNB, LTC, XRP and EOS. Altcoins that I mentioned have potential that is no less good than bitcoin. So don't hesitate
to invest also in altcoins, the most important thing is choosing the right coins.

I agree with almost everything you wrote, but I need to correct something. ETH, BNB, LTC and EOS have indeed falled much more than Bitcoin during the long bear market and in my opinion have even greater potential. Unfortunately, I do not even consider XRP as a cryptocurrency, and because it is a centralized coin, I consider it the worst investment that can be made on the cryptocurrency market. XRP has unlimited supply and can be created 10x more at any time, which would mean practically total loss of investment for the investor.
1675  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: December 15, 2019, 02:42:59 PM
I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value.

When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers.
LOL. Did he ever say something about 250K in 2019? I didn't follow him so I didn't know. What I know is that he's a joke, shady, and opportunist. I would never listen and trust a single word coming out of his mouth. I even doubt that he understands cryptocurrency at all. He's just another famous guy entering crypto to mislead and sucking money out of people.

Can't wait to see him eating his own dick in 2020 Cheesy

Actually, at the beginning he said it will be $500k , but later he change his mind and said that it will be $1M  Grin

1676  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: December 15, 2019, 02:04:36 PM
Indeed that is the risk if we invest in following the opinions of others, the results will be disappointing. Because the results of other
people's analysis not necessarily accurate. Moreover, the person who followed was John McAfee, this would only be a disaster.
Because John McAfee's prediction was mostly misleading. We better do our own analysis and research, so the results will be more
accurate. And one more thing, there is no such thing free money. Because to get money it requires hard work.

John McAfee manipulated the price of altcoins with little capitalization. His words have no effect on the price of Bitcoin, because only very irresponsible investors could listen to John. In fact, anyone can predict any price because it is simply unknown to anyone. The worst thing is that people listen to others and invest money. This should not be the case, because if we do not understand something, we should not invest in it.

Please, if you would like to participate in testing, leave your ethereum address here.

Why not, if I can help you develop your idea, I would love to.

Here is my ETH address: 0xFB2c635e97Fc1f588bCe06a8dd7c7AB73E2E7F9f

Just let everyone know when will happen that test, to be sure that everyone will be online, or at least will be around that day ..
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: December 15, 2019, 11:46:45 AM
Bitcoin can go to $100k in 2020, yes. Doesn't mean it will though.
Equally it can go to $1k. The thing is, with a market as volatile as crypto, we do get these huge fluctuations, and each new mega-bull can be an order of magnitude higher than the last one... but also the falls are just as hard.

Remember bitcoin went from $20k to $3k fairly rapidly. Just because a thing is possible, doesn't mean it's likely. Any idiot can make predictions, and the more outlandish, the more likely they are to get coverage. Fundamentally though we are all guessing on BTC price, and we are guessing within a wide range.

As you wrote, any idiot can give any number he think about and claim that this will be the price of Bitcoin in next year. However, no one will think about the fact that technology is developing and Bitcoin 2 may be created at any time and the price of the current BTC will begin to fall to zero.
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Quiz 13122019 on: December 14, 2019, 03:27:26 PM
I understand that the wallet address you provided is your address. You are a new user here, without established trust, so I don't think anyone will trust you enough to send you even a small amount. If you want your idea to succeed, it's better to first deposit 1 ETH in a trusted escrow and then it's possible that you will succeed. Good luck!
1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: December 14, 2019, 02:05:24 PM
Another nustradamus wanna be or should i say a time traveller. All those persons who predicted that btc will go 100,000$ even  higher should be buying right now and pump bitcoin up to 50,000$.

Exactly! They should buy and pump the price themselves!

However, I wonder ... Why Ulbricht is even trying to predict the price of Bitcoin at all..?  Roll Eyes After all, if the court confirms the charges against him, he won't be released from prison for the rest of his life ...  Shocked
