Otohs 1 point 26 minutes ago

I had over $50,000 on Cryptsy on the 5th Oct, I sold (at a loss) for BTC, LTC & DASH, I was able to withdraw the 8,433 DASH, but the 2,886 LTC & 76.24 BTC have been stuck there for over one week, I was then locked out of my account and dealing with support has been a nightmare, fobbed off with "you're in a queue" or ignored mostly.

I would not advise risking any funds there atm.

Will update on developments...

We were all worried about you there Sad  I hope you can get access to your account back soon, and especially your funds back!  I'm sorry about that Sad

Many thanks, I got access to my account back, but no sign of the BTC or LTC as yet and no response for the last couple of days to my many support requests, no explanation, no money, nothing.

If I may advise, try to revert your pending transactions, so you have all of the balance available in your account. Subsequently, try to find the coins that are still sufficiently available for withdrawal (ArticMine suggested this as well if I recall correctly). Perhaps using smaller, but significant amounts first. Anyway, best of luck and I hope you get everything out in the end.

The withdrawals show as pending on the View All Withdrawals page, but on the All Balances page where one would normally be able to cancel them and retrieve the coins to one's balances it says that there are no pending withdrawals, they've disappeared them.

Deal being concluded with MN, of course there was also a rather lame attempt of a PM from an impersonator, does anyone still really fall for these, anyway posted here a screenie fyi & reporting the account for deletion.

Shocked  Shocked

At this rate my prediction of 3500 masternodes at the end of this year seems to be on the low side..
Shocked That's spike! Someone did keep around 70000 coins in the pocket!?

maybe it's just dawned on Cryptsy or some exchange to hold their cold wallets as masternodes

Thanks! To get the ball rolling, even though it isn't an auction, I'd be happy to offer 13 BTC for the set which at least sets a base price for you, either in BTC, DASH or GBP UK banking transfer as you preferred.

RE: WastedLTC,

$ dash-cli masternode winners 2000 | grep Xb7qiTRzJJewfby9eXGeAcYMN7RNGgPnBw

I guess someone else got more votes, thing I dont understand is, don't the people in the pool that didn't win, get put back in the pool for another chance?  Gotta Read eduffield's post again....

When you see 1 vote, that's not enough to actually make the system skip. It skips on 2 or more.

Exactly, so why isn't he paid in 12 days?  I see nothing where he won 2 or more votes.

His MN payments seem to have been regular untill 01-09-2015 at which he made a selfpayment of 28,5 Dash,
making his balance 1000 again.

At this point i would seriously think about stopping the server and at least remove the peers.dat & mncache before restarting it,
maybe some clients got him blocked ?

More draconic measures would be to delete everything (except dash.conf & wallet.dat & masternode.conf)
and resync from scratch.

Then keep an eye on the number of votes that masternode is getting afterwards with command :
"$ dash-cli masternode winners 2000 | grep Xb7qiTRzJJewfby9eXGeAcYMN7RNGgPnBw" to see if it gets more votes.

sound suggestions, thanks!

Thanks all for taking notice of my issue and looking into it.    I assume this is not the only MN that is having this "luck"?  My other nodes have had no issues and now we are passing 13 days with no payment.   We are waiting a bit longer and then we will just wipe and restart that server which will end up taking longer than the permitted time and shove it to the back of the list.   Might be close to a full month without a payment which .. well, we all know that sucks.  =)

It would be nice to find out why this happened so it doesn't happen to many more nodes.

thnx all!

Having approx 500 MN I get to see examples of this and a couple did go to 13 days before being paid, I raised the isue with Holger:

MN 216 & 311 are now 12 days without reward, I assume it's just variance but maybe best to make sure that they're Ok:

Hi,

yeah, these are weird - guessing on variance as well, but i'll forward these to Eugene and Evan to have a look why they have such "bad luck" Smiley

...

I've checked back with Evan - the nodes were simply unlucky and should get paid on next cycle. Evan will likely fix that in the next version (Dash v13).

...
...

So the issue is know and being addressed, I'd not re-start if you can wait a little more may be best if like my case, hope that this helps.

Yep, sorry for any misunderstanding, I quoted your post but really was replying more to the constant troll background drone that I'm just here for a quick buck, plus all their other jealous cynical hate spew, my apologies for linking that without being clear.

Do your thing, don't worry about scaredy/jealous comments. Hope your enormous investment reaps you crazy riches. And massive smugness.

I prefer to stay as humble as I can, it seems to wind ppl up much more than mere smugness can Wink

Public speculation as to the latest dumps, in which I did not accuse....I simply asked, indicates that you aren't here for the long haul?  How so?  I don't doubt your word for one minute, never have.  I will admit your daily income from MNs is enough on it's own to scare me even if you never took one MN down but that's beside the point.

Again, my apologies for the misunderstanding Smiley

Looking at the 1 day DASH charts full of red for Sept.:

Who on earth would want to dump at these prices?   Is this more "controlled burning"?  I'm sure Mr. "on the other hand" was chuckling to himself when he decided to use that terminology.   Wink

If it's not him, it's ESPECIALLY odd to me given the upcoming announcement by ED.  Everyone should be buying right now, like me.

I sold like 3k DASH to help define a bottom, mostly when I sell it's a bottom and when I buy all in it's a top, I'm not the world's best day trader by any means, the 3k DASH proceeds went in to my quite large $2 bid wall, yes I'd be very happy to buy over $30,000 at that price, just come on down np the wall will not budge, also I'm happily holding well over $1 million of this Alt, all bought long after the launch, so give it a rest please about whether I'm backing this coin long term please trolls and all.

Edit: yep Jestah I was sorta chuckling to myself about that phrase I must admit, but it was meant to be apropos.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: September 08, 2015, 05:33:18 PM
After reading the last few pages of this thread, I'm confused about one thing. Otoh sold from .01 to .009 and is now buying at $2. OK, that make sense...he thinks the price is going to settle a bit but is planning to buy back in.

What confuses me is that not even six months ago, he implemented his famous "moving wall" and was buying Dash well into the .014 - .015 range, if not even higher than that. Is he now turning around and selling those at a loss, or did he already sell them when the price soared to .024?

I think the troubling aspect for some (not me) is that everybody had assumed Otoh was an accumulator/holder, and he is now being revealed to be a trader, which is radically different in terms of its effects on the market. These effects are even greater considering that Dash is so thinly traded.

I like to think that the 3k DASH that I sold yesterday were some of the ones that I've generated from my Masternodes, but really when it come to trading I have no idea what I'm doing so don't tend to do too much of it, mostly I pick a coin and stick with it, as I bought quite a lot of DASH then it's in my interest to set large bid walls to help discourage dumping &/or to buy at prices that I find attractive, maybe I should have dumped 5k more to .009 today instead of letting someone else do that, it would have made the bid wall all the harder to crack, I totally don't believe that selling those coins yesterday has effected the price today particularly but who knows.

657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: September 08, 2015, 10:01:55 AM
So Otoh hedges a bit in the face of a declining price and then puts up a huge BUY wall and people are mad? He's willing to buy 16,000 DASH and support the price at some level, or am I missing something?

He COULD put in a monster sell wall and really fuck everything for his own gain, but I don't see that here.

Edit: Though if it was him that dumped multiple lots of 5k+ DASH in the last month, then I might feel a little different...

Yep, very true and I'm most aware of it, I've never put up sell walls and certainly didn't do any of those large dumps last month or right now except for the 3k one yesterday which I announced here and was open about why I choose to do it, the USD from those coins are now all on the $2 bid wall, better there than in the pockets of some manipulative speculators I'm sure Cheesy

Hmm... so yet again one investor singularly influences the price and causing many to lose? (some can't withstand the loss, some need cash for private emergencies, some dislike manipulation...)

Do not put funds that you may need for emergencies into such a high risk vehicle as crypto Shocked

buying and selling is not manipulation, it is normal market operating Roll Eyes

the market decides the price, I am a part of the market but only a small part of the whole Wink

Come on, Richard - I am sure that you are fully aware how much respected member of a community you are (part of the respect comes, I'd guess out of awe that one single investor can have so much money invested into such a high risk vehicle) but if you, as a "small part of the market" can drive the price down - at will, since it was you who put a $2.00 "wall" and it was you who had cleared all small orders in between 0.01 and 0.009 and by doing what you're doing you're directly influencing the price, than that is a manipulation indeed.

In the fiat world where my investments are doing fine, we all hate "manipulations," high frequency trading that drives the price etc., so I wonder, why would I be tolerant toward bot operators on Cryptsy or even toward you when you could, as Tante said (not naming you) just few posts above, drive the price down to 0.001 at your will?

Your transparency and support for Darkcoin as it started are, needless to say, commendable, but if you are a market maker, what is the benefits, for the community, for the price's health? (all that nonsense that the price does not matter is just that, nonsense - many a stock destroyed a sound company when it was attacked by short sellers)

Like there's no "market" in the "real world" where all is fucking manipulated by the Fed, by the likes of GS and hedge funds HFT scum, there's no market in DASH where you totally dominate.

Do not get me wrong - I have nothing against what you do, this is how it is and I can either enter back now (I sold of of my DASH when I started to look at it not as a cheer-leader but as a prudent investor expecting a price drop) at sub 0.01 or wait or leave this game entirely and I am truly grateful to you for your transparency for it gives me more data to mull over pulling the trigger or not, but do not hide behind the "market" if you, to a great extend, sometimes and perhaps well too often for my taste, create the said market  Wink

Having said that, my hat off to you, noble Sire.

Every single bid and ask influences the price, yes I make larger ones sometimes but to call that manipulation is really just your arbitrary judgement of what others are doing which is identical to you just on a larger scale, anyway it's how it is, glad that you enjoy the transparency at least.

you all talk like that, and in one moment when flash buy starts you just close this thread and forget what you said earlier Smiley

ok Otoh have 50% of MN's ... ok ... why dont you drive price up where otoh will say HMM im gonna sell 20% of my MN's, then later another 20% ... then he will have only 10% and then you would be happy? yes?

We have to trust, what he says? People become reach rich not because they say their real plans.

I have a lot of MN, but it's well under 20% of the total and a good few of those I hold and manage for others.

If you wish people to read your posts then I'd recommend not posting a block of text, but discovering the wonder of paragraphs or spaces between the points that you wish to raise.
