Agreed a sale then sent me a payment address 20 minutes ago saying pay 2.5 BTC today, after you agreed the sale. I hope there was a legitimate misunderstanding with you there.
Scammers create fake accounts that are similar to the seller. They then watch the sales and send a fake "You won the sale, send payment here" to all the other bidders. It was the same person who asked me to make payment today to a bitcoin address untill I mentioned it on this thread. After I mentioned it on this thread I was told the bar was sold. this was 12 hours after the sale was agreed. As I said I hope it was a genuine missunderstanding Could you post a quote of the PM you received out of interest. & thanks Yankee for agreeing to act as escrow on this, the tip will be on me this time :-) |

while I have enough coins to do that, i would rather keep my collection intact for a few years by selling a coin here and there rather than selling the majority in a single discounted purchase - I hope you can understand. I could sell 3 coins for 6.75BTC and include shipping in that (insurance would be extra if you want the package marked at sale value). Escrow is not a problem, but I would ask you pay the escrow fee. Elianite is a good forum member who may do a 0.5% escrow or less for a quick-turnover sale by me. (generally, ive been shifting my price upwards slightly with every coin sold - I am more than happy to sit on these until 2020 because i know they are true collectors items, but at the right price selling a coin improves my liquidity to buy mining hardware) OK then 6.75 BTC for three, if you could do 11 BTC for five that would be better for me or more at the same price. Yep, I'm totally happy with the above, it's a MS-66 Casascius 2011 error coin, the same as you just sold to me and for the same price, 7 BTC, good faith all around and I don't see any problems, Friday being the 4th of July there may be some post delays but I'm in no hurry in any case.

OK then, I have a niece and a nephew so not wishing to leave any chance of squabbles I will offer 7 BTC for it if your are prepared to send first and Yankee acting as escrow for the coins if he agrees to do this, I'll make a video clip of the package being cut open which will be along dotted lines that you mark on it and I'll show them intact before hand, away from the seal so if any problems that can be examined for arbitration.

That's a difficult one. If Bitcoin were to reach $5000 in terms of USD, would someone be willing to pay $35,000 for it? Maybe yes, maybe no. As much as I like to calculate in BTC my mind still thinks in terms of USD ( I know its terrible) lol.
You'd be getting much more in dollar terms for 7 BTC than the other one sold for a couple of days ago, from under $600 to $655 atm, as you still think in USD terms, how about 6.40 BTC for it then ;-)  |
