2401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 19, 2014, 05:33:21 PM
Weak, weak hands. The good thing though is now the sell order books are way out of league of what these penny pinching buyers are asking for.
2402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 19, 2014, 05:17:06 PM
The irony is those who complain most about premines are cryptsy miners and dumpers who have no loyalty to any coin whatsoever.

I'd much rather see a developer of a coin make money from his own creation than an elite few mining the hell out of coins, taking all the profits for themselves and leaving thousands of bagholders.
2403  Economy / Economics / will we ever see a coin achieve fiat parity with Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2014, 10:22:41 PM
It's something to think about, preminecoin is starting to make some waves as a 100% pre-mined currency with only 500k coins in existence, it is anti-deflationary in nature, it would be a perfect storer of wealth for Bitcoin or any other alt currency in what is still a volatile market which is ironic as some look at Bitcoin as a storer of wealth. But who can really say how anything will play out at this moment right?

And yes I do know of 42coin but that is so gimmicky I don't count that  Grin
2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 18, 2014, 07:51:05 PM
Now the faucet is back to 248, could it have run out that quick from popularity?
2405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 18, 2014, 03:03:20 PM
The more I think about this coin the more I think it could be huge as a storer of wealth for coins itself to protect from volatility, almost like a "people's bank" of crypto. Anyone who sells these cheap is really going to regret this down the road.
2406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help! Sent BtC to a premine coin wallet that ended up being a legit BTC address on: February 18, 2014, 06:35:11 AM
I assume poloniex has the private key, I don't have a wallet on my HD, the tech support says he tried to export the private key into a BTC wallet and it wouldn't accept it?
2407  Other / Beginners & Help / Help! Sent BtC to a premine coin wallet that ended up being a legit BTC address on: February 18, 2014, 06:04:44 AM
I was referred by customer service at Poloniex here, I withdrew .61 BTC from McxNOW to my premine wallet on Poloniex and I realized my mistake, however instead of it giving me a "Not a valid wallet address" it actually went through!

1H183KGdVMNzWw9j3yhVfRUy4ZAXnw44M1 Is the PmC wallet I sent Bitcoin to. The TX id for the transaction is d653430e58533c5e823368a90069f88c7a9d791bde906f19135ef02351a0a15f

The customer service rep at Poloniex tried to export the PMC private key to a Bitcoin wallet address but it wouldn't take so he sent me here.

How can Bitcoin and Preminecoin share two exact wallet addresses?! Am I pretty much screwed on getting my money back? Does it appear to even belong to anyone? I'm confused how this could happen and it's an awful feeling since it is half a week's salary for me.
2408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 17, 2014, 10:37:15 PM
So what's the current estimates for how high this could go?
2409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 17, 2014, 06:00:44 PM
no but i can predict that it won't rise to 1M satoshi for sure  Cheesy

Maybe you can enlighten us on why "Vampirecoin" has a better future than PMC  Undecided
2410  Economy / Economics / What is up with weekends?! on: February 16, 2014, 11:47:23 PM
I tend to notice on coinmarketcap most coins always seem to plunge the most on weekends, Sunday specifically. Is it everyone cashing out to fiat to pay bills or rent due for the week or what?
2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ••• [ANN][SMC] SmartCoin • KGW • 6 EXCHANGES ••• on: February 14, 2014, 07:34:16 PM
What i'm curious is where is the volume residing at, coinmarket.io which appears to have the most according to coinmarketcap, is only showing around 2-3000 or so, I personally own 7,000+ SMC. Is everyone hanging onto them?
2412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Maxcoin doing so well? on: February 14, 2014, 07:28:47 PM
There is no way, imo, that 1 maxcoin can be more valuable than 1 vertcoin.

For starters, there will be a total of 250 million maxcoins compared to just 84 million vertcoins.

While I hold a lot of Vertcoins and love the technology, the name is just terrible. I can imagine the mainstream person saying "What, BERTcoin? What is that?!"
2413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Maxcoin doing so well? on: February 14, 2014, 04:36:43 PM
Why is it successful?

Because the general public likes it and like Max Keiser and know that for his faults he has been fighting for crypto for years now. End of story.

95% of people do not give one crap that a few miners with expensive equipment had to wait a day or two to get their wallets and software in working order and may have lost out on a little profit, to hell with you guys, you go around multipooling coins and dumping them at low prices leaving everyone else a bag holder and move on to the next like a bad STD. I know we need miners to make crypto function but the world doesn't revolve around your schizophrenic Coinwarz behavior either.

You're such a joke I can't stop laughing

to $300, but thats only a 75% correction from the $1200/ath.

early adopters are so insulated from reality and the rest of the world.  how about does dropping over $6B in market cap do for perspective, or now be lower than when China entered the market, there are no positives to be seen here.  Everyone is all to happy to defend gox and absolve them of any blame even though we all know they have been a problem and still no one can get fiat from there.

This is why I get irritated by the early adopters, they are the ones crying the most about the drops yet they were able to buy bitcoin for just pennies or dollars and became rich overnight, they took very little risk and made immense wealth and pumped the hell out of the coin with promises you can get rich too. Meanwhile you have a whole new 2nd generation of adopters who jumped in the last few months after hearing about Bitcoin hitting $1,000, a lot of working and middle-class folk who against the wisdom of their spouses and family are pouring what is a huge investment into Bitcoin hoping to catch what they believe is the leaving train. Now tell me, who is REALLY feeling more financially devastated now, the guy who had 5,000 BTC or the guy with 3 or 4?

The one good thing about this crash is it will release a lot of Bitcoins from old hoarders into the hands of new people and actually start cycling around the crypto economy again. I think it is a classic market correction.
2415  Economy / Speculation / Re: silk road 2 hacked on: February 14, 2014, 06:37:44 AM
Junkie fucks, I have no sympathy, they ruin Bitcoins image even if it is undeserved attention.
2416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: February 13, 2014, 06:37:17 PM
Mcxnow pays a whopping 20% interest on Max! I bought 775 of them, if this coin can manage to keep its uptrend and climb to top 10, I will be making a nice profit just on the interest alone, screw the fed and their absurd low interest rates on fiat.

This coin has one purpose and one only. To make money. It's all PR BS.

Wow just like every other alt coin. What else are you in this game for?
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN[AKC] ANTI-KEISER-COIN - 900 MIL, NO PREMINE , FAIR on: February 12, 2014, 10:29:14 PM
This whole project is stupid, you want to talk about harming the crypto community, why don't we go make a anti-Carrot top coin, anti-Nickelback, anti-Bieber coin or whatever other annoying celebrity that you can WASTE your money on. If Maxcoin is a dump than just let it die quietly rather than throwing a fit about it. If anything, the more you hate on something the more it succeeds *cough Doge*
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] *PXL COIN* Now trading on atomic-trade.com and cryptorush.in on: February 12, 2014, 02:55:12 PM
I'm curious whether the psychological impact will keep this at a dollar at most since people still have "million dollar homepage" on their mind, or if it can push higher?
2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ••• [ANN][SMC] SmartCoin • KGW @ BLOCK 35k • 6 EXCHANGES ••• on: February 12, 2014, 05:12:14 AM
Unfortunately many miners are whores, always turning new tricks to squeeze a bit of cash out of a coin and then move on to the next, not realizing that if they and all their friends would just marry themselves to a coin they'd make out far better in the end.

On top of that they have the nerve to call such coins "scam" coins even though if everyone stopped creating these "scam" coins, they'd have nothing left to mine for!
