Hell no. BTC is backed by FUD. I'll hold my URO thank you, and mine some more and trade out as needed.

URO is a store of value. BTC is a store of nothing.

BTC is still so volatile I plan to keep my primary holdings in URO and sell what I need to play the alt coin market. It may still be awhile until we see the Bitcoin bull run and it may keep bleeding over the next few weeks.

Anyone notice the most vulgar, rude, immature and obnoxious posters in this thread are the ones saying it is a scam?

To me the way altcoin herald came off being so snobby and assholish, even if they were correct their behavior turns me off from their site

According to Australian law:

""If you have no further use for your company and it is not in financial difficulty or insolvent, you may wish to close it down""

https://creditorwatch.com.au/express/asic/organisation/096961965/GREEN-EARTH-MONITORING-SYSTEMS-PTY-LTD

NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEREGISTRATION - Voluntary

ASIC has received an application to deregister the Company under s601AA.

ASIC may deregister the Company when two months have passed since publication of this notice.

LOL so GES voluntarily went insolvent? This is all FUD, companies close and change names all the time, why keep an oudated company? GES has incorporate and become a conglomerate over the years. The company I work for has a different title out front but a whole other company signs my paycheck even though all are owned by the same owner,  it's all tax BS.

yes one of their divisions sets up security equipment but guess what? Mistsubishi makes cell phones but they also make cars and toilet paper.....your point is irrelevant lol

My company prints folding carton boxes, manufactures rigid boxes in China, offers graphic design services and even has a 3D printer, it's called being diversified, and we are just a small 40-person business!

Here is a whole host of numbers alt coin herald could have called. But instead they rely on bullshit theories instead of investigative journalism.

Keep in mind:

1) Big investors in Europe just woke up to this news.
2) Next comes big investors in the USA.
3) USA East Coast starts waking up in about 6 hours.
4) West Coast tech-savvy investors start waking up in about 9.

Won't be long before Coindesk and Keiser pick this up

Kudos, you called this after investigating it very aggressively - I will be following your comments everywhere, dude.

I've won some major battles in my life just because I read alot, literacy is your friend Smiley

Let this be a lesson to all, do more than just read the 1st and last page of a thread, investigate, investigate, investigate!

At the time of the transaction or purchase of urea with uro, how may metric tonnes of urea was agreed upon to be sold for 12,500 URO?

1 URO = 1 metric ton

So 12,500 tons of fertilizer
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea Fertilizer on: July 10, 2014, 06:21:44 AM
Guys, the first URO buyer is getting a hell of a deal on fertilizer, but it won't matter on Green Earths end, they can just hold the 12,500 URO coins until it is worth close to 300 USD and sell them, no matter what they make money. You have to plant a seed to grow a tree, if some people get wealthy early on that is how anything works.

Just to add to the conversation, alot of FUD has been thrown around about the look of GES or Urea Trading India's website, well to show just how silly this is, look up some Urea suppliers on Ali Baba

http://india.alibaba.com/country/suppliers_india-urea-trading.html

The number of Urea distributors on this list is just massive, and this is just in India! Now tell me how many of these companies on this list you think even have a website and if they do, how modern and slick do you think they are?

Also if you type in Urea on Linkedin, you will find tons of people swapping email addresses looking for someone to buy Urea off of. Now you tell me URO wouldn't be useful in these person-to-person deals where people trust one another to do business by email?

I think so many people here are clueless how the non-Western world operates, people in developing countries, they don't give a damn if you don't have a Pinterest page, or a twitter site, or 100k friends on a Facebook page, or whatever other frivolous things that 1st worlders love that btctalk teenagers think one needs to prove you are a real company. Most of these companies do their daily business by telephone correspondence, their customers are usually loyal and do repeat business every growing season, trying to say a company is not real because they have no website or it is poorly constructed is pure BS.

In the world of commodity trading, GES is probably on a 1st tier level just to even have a web presence period. I think they are very forward thinking to recognize the future of crypto technology, just like African nations are embracing the mobile money and commerce future before the West, they have the luxury of using the latest technology to solve problems that the West is stuck behind due to decades of infrastructure that is difficult to replace overnight.

They hope Uro prices goes up because of your greediness (like what every internet ponzi scheme promises and the US housing sector in 2008), then they can safely sell the urea to a captured market.

"Our" greediness? So making money is greedy? Me, a working class stiff wanting to make enough to buy a home is greedy? Just what are you here for then Mr. Scambust? Tell me, what coins do you find "honest" that there is no shame in buying with no greedy profit potential?

I won't post the link out of respect to your privacy (unless you allow me to) but it convinces me you are telling the truth.
1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea Fertilizer on: July 09, 2014, 09:14:14 PM
The first group is NOT giving their urea to the other group at some arbitrary 1 uro = 1 metric tonne of urea exchange rate.

Why not? The URO Protocol states they will. You may find it bizarre a company is willing to take a risk and give away a million tons of Urea for 1/20th of the price but guess what, this is called capitalism, people take risk in the hope of making bigger profit in the future. After the first order is confirmed, who would be stupid enough to dump their Urea at fire sale prices?

Quote
If you think they are, here is a brilliant idea for you:  go create another "commodity currency" which will cost you hardly anything.  Now go convince holders of that commodity to give you their commodity in return for your made up coins.

Well apparently true asset did convince 4 companies to accept this commodity. Now how much of the whole plan was concocted by Green Earth Systems themselves is debatable, but clearly it's a business venture and not "some dude" in his basement who says the coin is worth Urea.

Quote
Apparently you think they will do this based on the hope that everyone else will arbitrarily agree to the exchange rate as well.

And you can "hope" Bitcoin will be worth 1,000 dollars, and you can "hope" it will be worth 1 million but you have no clue because nothing in life is set in stone. Bitcoin could drop to 10 dollars tomorrow for all we know. Everyone seems to be holding out hope Wallstreet is going to come in and inject billions into it but for all we know they think it is just a silly token too. But if these 4 companies can prove they created a more efficient way of delivering Urea and reducing cost, yes other companies that sell Urea will see the benefit and join too.

Quote
And they will be so excited by this idea that they will incidentally make a bunch of totally non-contributing nerds rich, those nerds who were "smart" enough to stock up on the coins.

You mean like how all of us Bitcoin holders made all those nerds who mined thousands of Bitcoins for just a few dollars of electricity rich? And whom most of are not contributing anything to the crypto community but sitting on their ass enjoying their wealth? LOL welcome to the world of investing where the early dogs who took the risk make the bulk of the fortune.

Quote
And if you think "but wait! we already have companies signed up!" here is another clue: they either do not exist or will not come through.

Then why would they create it or sign onto it in the first place? And plenty of documents have been produced to prove Green Earth's existence.

Why don't you call them up yourselves and ask?

Here is your grand fatal flaw in all of this though. Speculation trumps everything, and if the MARKET decides it is worth 300 USD, it will. At one point Dogecoin reached almost an 80 million market cap at its height, this is actually how much it would take for 300k URO coins to be worth 300 dollars. Now do you really mean to tell me a generic coin with a dog on it is worth more than a digital commodity that can be traded for a real world good? If the Urea companies agree it has value, and the people agree it has value (and they will when the first shipment is proven and gone out) then the price will reflect this.
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea Fertilizer on: July 09, 2014, 08:35:53 PM
How are they losing?

Sell urea for uro -> price corrects itself on market to $300 -> sell uro on market for $300 price

Exactly, if the deal is real, they will be losing very little money, or if they do, it is the cost of doing business and they will profit greatly in the future to make up for it.
1619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][URO] A Real Long Term Currency: 1 Uro = 1 Metric Tonne Urea Fertilizer on: July 09, 2014, 08:07:04 PM
Yes but when they sell the Uro to recover the money spent on Urea, they now owe 12,500 more tons of Urea to back the Uro they sold thus they will lose on the first orders. If they are willing to lose millions why not just give the free fertilizer to the farmers in the form of Uro which would help the farmers which is supposedly the purpose of this experiment, and would promote adoption by the very people that are supposedly going to be using Uro.
Too many holes in the logic, not trying to fud if you made money great but none of this adds up. Good luck

Here is the solution. The second they trade 12,500 URO for a million tons of Urea and this is confirmed fact independently, immediately everyone will start buying up the order book shooting the price of URO through the roof. And what will GES be stuck with? 300 URO coins that may have been worth 5 dollars at trade but are now worth in the range of 100-300 USD so they recover at least a good portion of their investment back.

Anyway at the end of the day obviously these guys know the fertilizer business better than 95% of us here and 4 companies are willing to take a risk on it, clearly they think it has potential.
