you just agreed with him, and he was disagreeing with my premise. so which is it? you're either for these scams or against them. pick a side.

No I'm just against holier than thou self-appointed committees who think they know what is good for crypto, look how well the Bitcoin Foundation turned out.

Also if the rumors about this "Project Shitcoin" and the Blackcoin MultiPool are true, DDoSing a pool you don't like puts you squarely in the criminal category.

Personally I'm a believer in the free market, I got burned and lost ALOT of money chasing alts, if anyone wants to see all the crap coins go away its me. But sometimes reality is the best dose of medicine. I've woken up and realized there is no get rich overnight coin, hell I haven't even found a "make 2-3 months of rent" coin yet. I think alot of people have to realize that though who adopted Bitcoin early on or are inside on the P&D groups are the only real winners here and everyone else is running around hoping to find a coin for pennies that will be worth 500-1000 dollars someday, but the odds are very, very slim. It hurts and I wish I could even recover half of my money but that's just the way the chips fall, it is this realization that will kill the alt market once and for all, not some high and mighty self-appointed regulatory group made up of people who probably already have thousands of bitcoin themselves and haven't even been stung with huge financial losses personally.

2123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The word scam on here doesn't have any meaning anymore on: March 20, 2014, 04:30:36 AM
It's funny how many 1st gen crypto adopters run around tossing scam accusations at alts when the majority of the real world that lives outside their little Asperger bubble think Bitcoin is a scam and many are too blind to see that.

I won't lie, I'm one of the newbies who jumped into crypto after seeing Bitcoin's immense rise and wanting a piece of the pie, but it shocked me when I came in and saw how many people with big BTC holdings talk like 14 year-olds, throwing around vulgarities like "motherfuck this" or "shit that", engaging in flame wars with anyone who challenges their world paradigm, who blindly put faith in criminals like Karpeles or Shrem for years while being suspicious of any new alt coin developer as a scammer, and who think trollboxes should be standard on international exchange sites setup to handle millions in transaction revenue.

All I want to know is where is the professionalism? I know there are times for jokes and not being serious all the time but I honestly feel like it's a zoo or high school around here sometimes.

What about proving that some kind of crime happened?

That's a pretty good point.

No its not. try again scammer.

Clearly we have a scholar here well versed in centuries of Western legal practice!
2125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 04:05:29 AM

bullshit. your posts fails to make any credible point at all. try again, scam pumper.

Oh so tell me what I am pumping before you go hurling accusations.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: and this is why we're still flying under the radar on: March 20, 2014, 04:01:56 AM
I think the main problem with myriad coin is there is just too damn many of them, the market is saturated with I think over 60 million coins now and it's only a month old? Hardly bears well for creating a scarce crypto currency to sit alongside Bitcoin. It may be fun for miners but what is the practical use for consumers, why should they want to exchange it for goods or services?

The actual quantity is irrelevant when it'd digital and divisible.

It's relevant when there is no illusion of scarcity. Also why should consumers care if the coin is good for miners, people forget crypto is designed to be used as a currency, not a plaything or science project for miners, do you imagine the average person who knows nothing of SHS-256, Scrypt or CPU vs GPU mining wanting to use Myriad? I respect technical innovation but it still has to serve an end use at the end of the day.
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 20, 2014, 03:54:29 AM
I think people need to understand what the definition of fraud or scam is.

Having unrealistic goals or having your head in the clouds about creating the next Bitcoin or turning on a whole nation into cryptocurrency isn't criminal in character, it's just being naive. Until we see the creator of AUR run off with the premine for instance, any accusation of fraud is questionable at best, having suspicions is one thing but throwing out accusations without evidence is another.

Personally to me the biggest shenanigans of all revolves around Litecoin with its massive amounts of fake volume going on in the Chinese exchanges, one exchange in particular that is owned by the BROTHER of the developer for Litecoin. Imagine if Satoshi's brother opened up an exchange and tried to sell you Bitcoin? I know it wouldn't make me comfortable. But whatever, it is obvious there is a clear schism between the "old crypto money" and the "new" crypto money and the 1st generation has hated most alts from the very beginning so I take any accusations of "scam" with a grain of salt.

Remember, Doge was called a scam and the creator was verbally assaulted and accused that he'd premined a bunch and would run off with it and crash the currency. Not only did this NOT happen, the guy even turned down 500k in venture capital money! How many of the professional trolls in btc-e who spend 8 hours a day trashing alts would have such strong hands? I bet very few.

Noobs or not, the action the last few hours sort of kills any faith I have in this coin being resurrected, it goes up 100 satoshis and everyone is dumping for candy money. Are people that desperate to unload?

A pump is going on @ mintpal, already increased 20% in value now.

20% from 400 satoshi is what, 500 satoshi?  still worth NOTHING.  f u mzc and payu

LOL this is a slow pump, Rome wasn't built in a day. BC took over a week to get from 500 to 4000 SAT.
2131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PLNc] PLNcoin - Polish cryptocurrency - giveaway for Poles on: March 19, 2014, 05:19:19 PM
I noticed the supply on the sell side is running thin since last night when I bought in.
2132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackcoin and why it could be really big // Intro to Blackcoin on: March 19, 2014, 03:25:25 PM
Call me crazy but I think this might reach Litecoins market cap, it may not be for a few months but it will come eventually
2133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin sCrypt | new Client v1.2 | now very high on Mintpal vote! on: March 19, 2014, 03:07:07 PM
This coin is a paradox, it sounds so stupid yet so genius at the same time.
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PLNc] PLNcoin - Polish cryptocurrency - giveaway for Poles on: March 19, 2014, 01:46:20 PM
0.006 seems possible
0.006? we want 0.01 Cheesy
If we hold our coin strongly then it will be more than AUR possibly .085--0.12 within month.
So don't sell panic. Remember it seems legit. We have to support PLNc.

We heard that about SPA too though to be honest, starting to get cynical on the nation coins.
2135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 19, 2014, 02:31:21 AM
Anyone else think we could hit a $1 sooner than people think?
2136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 19, 2014, 12:38:12 AM
For the most part its held steady last few hours and treading back into positive+ territory on mintpal, panic selling has subsided. I'm always a big believer in calm before the storm!
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 18, 2014, 10:04:14 PM
Some chatter on twitter last night said the pump may happen because BTCWhale has a reputation to keep if he wants future pump followers (if you truly believe he has any pull and isn't a troll that is...)
2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 18, 2014, 08:24:19 PM
People need to stop with the undercutting

No kidding, why would you go in and place a sell order at .0011 when you just saw people 2 minutes ago buying at .0018?
2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPA] SpainCoin: freedom for Spain, LAUNCHED! on: March 18, 2014, 08:01:07 PM
Now pump it! LOUDER!!

This is because bittrex shows a REAL order book instead of the grade school level one Mintpal gives us.
