I noticed last night when I put up a 1.5 btc buy almost no one wanted to sell to me. I gave up after and bought from the sell wall so clearly people see the value in holding.

I don't think it defeats the purpose of Bitcoin, there is no written rule all crypto currencies must be decentralized, it's a new technology and honestly I think Nautilus being a gateway into crypto is much better than all the fly by night pump and dump alts.

We have more to fear from the likes of a Google coin or Paypal Coin if you want to talk REAL establishment types. Or better yet, wait until the government of China creates their own coin. People laugh but many truly do not comprehend how LITTLE Bitcoin is actually worth at this point in the grand scheme of things. I could see NAUT going to 500 dollars a coin when Bitcoin rises to 1k or 2k for instance.

I think the point is to discourage dumping, mining should actually feel like an exercise not just scooping your hand into the candy jar, hoarding thousands of coins and dumping them for electricity and beer money. This is why most POW coins are dying, miners stopped speculating and started pawning their inflated coins off on traders and frankly traders have gotten tired of it and moved on to POS coins because of this.

The ONLY reason i'm even touching this POW coin is because of the major investment capital behind it that will take the coin to new heights, I want to invest with someone willing to make it successful and not just some 17 year-old kid who will dump on everyone to buy a steam game or run off with the premine (and if you think someone as wealthy as Brian Kelly needs to steal premine from everyone I got a bridge to sell ya!).

Well to play devil's advocate I recall XBC pumped even when the creator was still active in the project, then 2-3 days passed with no word and everyone started freaking out he abandoned the project and then the drama started.

Well it's not economically efficient in a capitalist system to waste resources. If I built a toaster that uses double the electricity of another toaster does that make it inherently more valuable?

My issue with POS is if mining is a waste of resources, why even have a mining period for POS coins period? Seems silly to have these quick 7 day mining periods that seem to only benefit multipools and those with megarigs, why not just issue every coin as an IPO at a fair price for anyone to buy regardless whether they are a trader or a miner?

Actually I think the opposite, it's about time someone with brains and decades of financial experience come in and wrestle away the money from the children that don't know how to properly invest it, read the Blackcoin forums for instance for a laugh and ask why anyone with deep pockets would put any money in BC after reading the endless trailer trash and angry aspie comments left there everyday.

I personally have never been hostile to banks, rather to megabanks and the federal reserve. Banking is the lifeblood of capitalism and having more, smaller banks creates a healthy economy rather than the crony capitalism we have now. If someone experienced in the financial world wants to reform the industry instead of wanting to destroy it like a petulant child, that is good news to me.
