Who keeps dumping, I thought Waffle was supposed to be done, its just stacks of sells one after another...
1982  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy handing over user info to big brother! on: April 24, 2014, 08:47:22 PM

The government determines what a crime is. You might not be worried now because you aren't committing a crime, but by the stroke of a pen you could be.

The SEC could have a field day with these forums if they decided to retroactively go after people for pumping and dumping crypto coins. I think the only thing that would save a lot of people here is many are under the age of 18  Grin
1983  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptsy handing over user info to big brother! on: April 24, 2014, 08:26:06 PM
the simple rule is, if your not doing a massive crime, reading your data is a waste of government time.

It was a "waste of time" for the East Germans to collect data on every single citizen but they did it anyway in case you ran afoul of them. I don't get this belief that the way to keep government benevolent is to continue to give them more power, how anyone who believes in crypto and cannot see that point goes beyond me.

Correction, the game is already made and i'm not even sure they have any connection to it, probably just a dead old iPhone game they found online and claimed they are integrating into it.

Just FYI Tiny Elementals has been out for months and no mention of Caishencoin anywhere on its official website. Plus the devs are Polish!

1- M-Pesa has recently changed the base code to include decimal places (crypto currency) and text advertising (cryptr.ch)
https://github.com/FrontlineSMS-Credit/payment-service-safaricom-mpesa-ke

Well not to smash any dreams but that is actually FrontlineSMS's github, NOT M-PESA and they are just updating their software to integrate with m-pesa. But it is still interesting that the github hadn't been updated in months and gets an update the exact same time Konen tweets he is hard at work in Kenya, perhaps the deal is with them and not m-pesa? (although m-pesa would still need to bless it)

Also look at this

In 2014, we will be adding a new module, Payments, to our software suite. Payments will be part of the familiar FrontlineSMS and FrontlineCloud interface, but will allow you to send, track and receive mass mobile payments, vouchers and airtime, wherever you are – as well as all the SMS functionality you’re used to from us.

The prototype version of Payments, PaymentView, has already been tested by ten organizations in Kenya. It reduced payment processing times for a small savings collective by 85 percent, and increased average client savings by 50 percent.

I know Whitecoin may me a bit of a ripoff but it appears the Blackcoin community is getting a bit arrogant/trollish

Look at what the official BC multipool tweeted me this weekend

"We don't dump coins, we create liquidity in markets which is a good thing for everyone"

What a crock, I know this is all a zero sum game but don't pretend like multipools benefit the coins they are targeting for mining.

This coin is going to be pumped for the weekend, the signs were all there of the whales quietly accumulating

Just to play devils advocate, while WC may have alot of coins, it seems to have set up a better distribution than what Blackcoin has, there are fewer top wallets hoarding a majority of the supply (for now)
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT NEW Proof Of Transaction - UPDATE NOW FORK 750 Blocks! on: April 18, 2014, 05:33:04 PM
Someone brought up a great point on twitter

What's to stop a whale with lots of FLT from just trading his coins back and forth between two wallets and accumulating more through POT and then dumping them on the market?

All say this on BC, all the talk about how BC is "creating wealth" for the early adopters, how is that different than anything else in life?

The people who bought Microsoft or Apple stock in its infancy and those who bought or mined Bitcoin 3-4 years ago will always be miles above anyone who buys in later, I don't get this argument.

^^^^LINK TO APPARENT ZETACOIN/M-PESA RUMOR LEAK

Lot's of truth in that document, although for some reason I am still thinking it's not M-Pesa but some of the competitors.

Zeta just confirmed on twitter that the partner is not M-Pesa, so yeah. Looks like I was right.

No it was a fake Zeta twitter account, the real one commented nothing on it but said to avoid phonies.

This is the real one

I'm not Dutch but I invested in NLG because its cheap compared to EFL, does anyone else think there is room for two Dutch coins?
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: April 11, 2014, 04:03:28 AM

Zeta go to a place where people can't even read .... and u asking them to adopt it .....

Sorry but you are fibbing, Kenya's literacy rate is 87%

http://country-facts.findthedata.org/q/173/2395/What-is-the-literacy-rate-in-Kenya-a-country-in-the-continent-of-Africa

http://ycharts.com/indicators/kenya_adult_literacy_rate

And 31% of their GDP flows through mobile phones/M-PESA already and 71% of the population has a cell phone, hardly a tech illiterate population, that is an incredible number and no western nation can say that much business is done on their phones.

http://qz.com/57504/31-of-kenyas-gdp-is-spent-through-mobile-phones/

I've seen alot of FUD but this takes the cake.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: April 10, 2014, 09:56:56 PM
some math for us all.

55million x 0.00001 btc = 550btc

7.5mil zeta moved and sold near the top, lets say an AVG of 0.00006btc = 450btc

But we are forgetting the biggest equation of all

How much did someone SPEND to get 55 million ZET in the first place? Either someone with money already or someone with a lot of mining power, either way I don't think they are hard up for cash to create a P&D and instead is a serious long-term investor.

Or its an exchange wallet, which is my personal belief.
1998  Economy / Speculation / Re: If China REALLY wanted to ban Bitcoin, it would be very apparent overnight on: April 10, 2014, 08:27:32 PM
They want BTC.  But they want it on a short leash.  It should be hard for the peasants and proles to buy or use, and easy for the cadres to buy or use.

I have a theory, supposedly BTC China hasn't gotten a letter yet, maybe they intended to shut down all exchanges except one they can carefully manage and control?
1999  Economy / Speculation / Re: If China REALLY wanted to ban Bitcoin, it would be very apparent overnight on: April 10, 2014, 08:07:34 PM
The point i'm getting at is the Chinese government is being overly gracious, if they view Bitcoin as criminal or upsetting to the social order, they would not be giving these exchanges the courtesy of an almost 6 month period to look for loopholes to stay in business. We'd be seeing Bobby Lee in handcuffs by now and made to go on TV and apologize for his "crimes".
2000  Economy / Speculation / If China REALLY wanted to ban Bitcoin, it would be very apparent overnight on: April 10, 2014, 05:31:23 PM
There would be no strongly worded letters or months of back and forth "will they, won't they", it would be agents with the government coming in overnight, shuttering all exchange offices and anyone who resisted would be sent to the coal mines for re-education, simple as that.

You think the Chinese government treats stubborn peasants in the field with kid gloves like this?
