If your argument is that proof of work is a broken system, arguing in favour of more proof of work blockchains is idiotic.

-MarkM-

But yet you want people to only invest in Bitcoin & Litecoin, just because it has more miners on it to protect their broken system, that makes no sense. This is nothing else but a turf war, end of story.

2062  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: March 29, 2014, 07:44:26 PM

Bitcoin has more SHA256 hashing power than the whole rest of the world all put together, That is why bitcoin hopes maybe to be secure.

Talk about drinking the Kool-aid, if you have a broken front door and the only way to keep people from breaking in is to form a human chain around it, guess what, the front door is still broken.

But what do you expect from a guy whose avatar looks like 2 turds wrapped around each other, you guys are con artists like Karpeles.

If a cartel of a few people can systematically destroy a coin, then crypto is NOT as secure as we think it is and all the good reason to consider getting your money out, now.

10-1 these snakes probably profited from it too before setting their sights on AUR. They are no better than the crooks they claim to be fighting.

Cryptsy is dying, it is telling when they rush to add a new P&D coin of the day but sit on their hands on Blackcoin for 2 weeks.

nice.. all i see is good news.. btc going down blackcoin goes up.. blackcoin will replace bitcoin..  Grin

blackcoin to market cap of 1 billion in 12 months ?

We can laugh but it just might, people forget half the reason Bitcoin interested people is it being a deflationary currency and it being scarce, well here we go, the most deflationary coin of all is one where there won't be any more made.

I don't think it will "replace" Bitcoin but it could vie for top 3 at least.
2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 27, 2014, 09:49:06 PM

All the BC multipools are here to bring the price of the BlackCoin up and not necessary to make highest possible profit.

Some people don't understand the concept of investing. A lot of people mine Bitcoin or Litecoin at a loss on the theory it will be worth a lot more down the road. It's no different than me buying Blackcoin with no guarantee I will recover my money or see it go somewhere but I have faith in it and think it could vastly go up in price so I risk and put my money into it, simple as that.

anyone have an idea why BC dropped 20% on mintpal?

I think the whales sniff how great this SHA-256 multipool is doing right now and rapidly manipulating for an epic pump back up.

I think a Blackcoin Credit Card as a great idea too, fact is to infiltrate the fiat world we have to work around it.

Also can you imagine carrying around a real Blackcoin card in a rich black with the logo? It would definitely get attention around boosting its appeal!
2069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 27, 2014, 01:07:26 PM

I think it's more intended for people who would have rigs sitting on middlecoin/wafflepool/clever/etc and don't have time to manage their own profit-switching, etc. It also is directly attractive to miners who *don't* trade - and it's more common then you may think! There are some people who only really mine LTC or BTC via multipools, but other coins, BC being one of them, are starting to gain the interest of even the most altcoin-averse people -

I don't mine but I think the key is to convince anyone who mined who may have missed out on BTC and LTC's rise that BC would become a respectable top 5 coin and you stand more to gain from mining for LTC or BTC and trading up to BC. Buy more, hold more.

Number 1, who works in Silicon Valley DOESN'T know about Bitcoin or crypto...

Number 2, why do some of the wealthiest residents in America deserve free money from me?
2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 26, 2014, 08:07:12 PM
I have nothing against Mintcoin but it just feels overpriced to me even at its bottom, for the same price I can buy a bigger stake of the total BC coin cap than I can MINT. Granted MINT does have the 20% interest but still, with BC taking off it made more economic sense to me to invest in BC.

Am I hearing this correctly?  Some kid owns Cryptorush now?  LOL

Or did a kid own it the whole time?

There is no Satoshi, only the NSA.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 26, 2014, 03:27:53 AM

I don't know if you have any friends outside of this world.. but just talk to them about it.. and ask them how they feel about bitcoins.  Most of them wouldn't touch the stuff.

This is what I find hilarious about this whole drama. All the naive Aspies who spew venom at Altcoins are in the same exact boat, a shadowy mysterious developer who won't reveal himself, distrust by the general public that what they are running is a pyramid scheme, attacking alts for "having no infrastructure" or "wide merchant acceptance" when neither does Bitcoin really (sorry but a shitty little wordpress storefront selling giftcards and GPUs doesn't count as "wide" merchant acceptance in my book), and a majority of the coin wealth owned by an elite few (the top 1% of bitcoin holders hold 80% of them, and here we think a 1% premine for a developer is greed).

Mark Karpeles and Charlie Schrem did more to betray the trust of crypto in the eyes of the general public then anyone and they were "one of the boys" around here and put on a pedestal. Most people who even have the vaguest idea of what Bitcoin is have no idea what Litecoin is and certainly have no clue about alt coins, so to blame alts for the state of crypto is disingenuous.

I think what really upsets some of the "old guard" but that they won't admit to, is they are upset that many noobies are not wanting to pay the $500-$1000 "tax" to buy a bitcoin and join their elite club and instead are gambling on these penny stock coins hoping to get rich. Well guess what fellas, you created this madness when you yourselves speculated Bitcoin from dollars and cents to $1000 a coin almost overnight (Litecoins rise was even more meteoric and questionably boosted in only days) What did you think would happen but attract a new breed of investors looking to get rich quick like you did?
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptorush. THIS is the guy whom you have entrusted with your btc. on: March 26, 2014, 02:55:02 AM
I personally think fyrstikken is really Wolong, they both have the same maturity levels and seem to be willing to destroy and connive to get their way.
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 25, 2014, 04:14:04 PM
All one has to do is look up fyrstikken on youtube and see what a dope the guy is. I wouldn't be surprised if he is on drugs.

Why SPA is so expensive? Can anyone tell me?

SPA is cheap compared to its potential, its a rare coin and if AUR airdrop proves successful it could bring SPA up really high.

Just gotta love especially the bit "So far, Bitcoin prices haven't changed much on the news".  Cheesy

I like the "1 BILLION stolen from exchange!" in the headline. But in the article it says $70k  Cheesy
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 25, 2014, 01:41:35 PM
The general resilience to this news just shows how strong this coin is, Litecoin should be VERY afraid.

"Never let a good crisis go to waste"

Manipulators induce panic sell, panic buyers see opportunity, price will stabilize back.
