I cant see how it could use the same Blockcain as bitcoin - there is no technical need for them to do so. In fact its already bloated so they would just have to waste money on hardware to store the old junk, a zero start seems much more likely. I suppose the only alternative benefit for them might be that they don't have to do anything much if they use an established chain and infrastructure. But banks probably don't feel that comfortable with all their eggs in someone else's network.

Not a velocity calculator, it's a rosy nonsense generator, a bitcoin fap machine. Quick test: Zero out all the variables (other than "number of bitcoins mined), and today's price is $480. One of the variables it [clumsily attempts] to include is velocity.
Zero out all variables except for number of bitcoins mined and it shows $0.00 ... My mistake, guess didn't slide one of the sliders enough. Is it that website that got you confused about money velocity? Because sliding the velocity slider all the way to "0%" gives you the largest value (and sliding it to "100%" the lowest)? Have you asked yourself what "0%" and "100%" money velocity means? Or why it's a percentage? Care to share? RTFM I provided a link to a video (you don't even have to read) that explains that calculator. But does it explain videos?

Well last night was a bit of an ouch. Lost all of yesterdays gains. I ended up chasing the Wales game believing they can do it, and at the last second I thought it was all OK. FS. I also had a reasonable bet on Cyprus and that looked really achievable at 12/1. But they didn't quite make it. On and up everyone. Hopefully you did better, Globb
