Boy the shill accounts are really coming out full force now that everything is coming to light with GAW
Yea it's interesting they show up around the same time.. Especially since people on HT have been getting "aware" of their current situation recently. Or they're here because hashtalk has been inaccessible for long periods of time, and they feel the need to post somewhere about the object of their affections.

Where does all the cash come from? It came from the customers themselves! People buying hashlets directly, their 10% cut of market sales, hashstaker sales, etc.
No, that would be a Ponzi scheme, almost by definition. The initial cash comes from the fund. Since about half of Paycoins will be immediately staked, GAW is betting that they have enough support in that fund to withstand the initial massive dump. After that, the value added is the ability for cryptocurrency to do what Apple Pay and Paypal do, only much more cheaply. The transaction costs are so much lower with crypto that there will be incentive to use the system, and companies/people will buy coins, thus providing the cash. Paycoin will be chosen over other crypto because its tiered system allows for instant transactions with low overhead and because the price support will add stability to the coin's value relative to other currencies. At least, that's the theory. As should be obvious, there are a lot of ways this could go sour.

BTC Payout 0.00023047 BTC HP Payout 18 Maintenance Fee -0.00023046 BTC
HashPoint Pool 18 HP • 12/08/14 00:00 - 12/09/14 00:00 ZenPool 0.00013694 BTC • 12/08/14 05:35 - 12/08/14 17:35
I mean, come on. They could have at least disclosed this ahead of time. Wow, you made 1 Satoshi. Way go to go. According to another poster, this is a bug, and I should have gotten 13694 Sats. If Paycoins end up being worth anything at all, I'm in good shape.

They honestly believe that the reason there are so many of the same questions is because there was no down-voting. NO, It's because they are all complete fucking morons. 90% of them don't have the slightest clue what they've invested in and just love the fun.
This "investment" is way too high risk to be considered investing. It is actually about fun and you're paying more for entertainment than investing (like a casino). I'm betting that this is a legit operation. I put some money in (not much) for the same reason I bet on sporting events, so I have a rooting interest. Go, GAW! Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah! Unfortunately, shutting down any interesting questions or ideas is not my idea of fun.

Here's a good example of taking advantage of someone's stupidity: https://hashtalk.org/topic/21881/resolved-my-legendary-hashlet-just-sold-itselfThe most likely scenario is clear. He had it for sale, then took it down. Then the rollback happened, and it was put back up for sale at the old price. It was sold. He didn't want it sold. They should give him a new legendary. (Maybe he wouldn't get the same kind of legendary, but the CEO's stated that they have some stashed away, so he could get something equivalent.) Somehow the masses were able to convince this poor guy that it was his fault. (Despite the fact that during exactly the same time frame a different user had one put back up after he had taken it off the market.) Then, "zen_Eric" closed the thread down saying it was a "user initiated sale," ignoring that it was most likely a user-cancelled sale that they executed anyway. As for the other user, the one with solid evidence that his sale was the result of the rollback, well... https://hashtalk.org/topic/22308/update-regarding-the-legend-that-sold-itself

LOL. And they paid $17.95 to have a coin magically transform into three worth a few Satoshi each. I bought one of those 3-monthers because I was kind of curious about the details, and $10 isn't going to break me. I'll probably get more fun out of having one than I would seeing an 80-minute movie in the theater, which is my entertainment frame of reference. I'm not converting any hashlets, though. Paycoin has just too much risk.

These morons have 0 taste for risk. $20 is guaranteed. When it launches at 1 satoshi, they'll go berserk. I won't be the one trying to kill Josh.
I wouldn't be surprised if it launched at $20-ish. It won't matter to the true believers who are staking their entire stash. The fireworks are going to start in six months when the first round of staking ends, and the price is nowhere near $20 anymore.

If that's the case, then 3) should be "Prices will plummet and GAW will offer to buy them back at 50% of retail price as a nice gesture". They might could pull that off with Zen solos, because they could just make Zenpool yield at a very low rate. Primes, however, can mine for real pools out of the control of GAW. And the maintenance cost will never go up. So, if the price of BTC goes up, thereby reducing the cost of maintenance in BTC, there's not really away to avoid payouts for primes. So people may just never want to sell primes.

Here's a thought experiment. What if they've been informed by a regulatory agency that what they're doing with ZenPool might be illegal?
If that was the case, they'd try to immediately get rid of every Zen mining hashlet (Prime and Zen solo) while not really caring if the other Solos exist, as they're just renting mining power.
So, they incentive "upgrading" your hashlet to a totally legal Hashstaker. If this is correct, look for the following to happen:
1) Every Prime or Zen that is put up for a conversion gets it. 2) Very few solos that aren't Prime or Zen will be able to convert. 3) After the conversion period is complete, the prices for Primes and Zens will skyrocket as GAW attempts to buy back whatever they can.
I don't think this is a likely scenario, but it's neat to think about.
