The stock market isn't a zero-sum game because value can be added indefinitely. In the example you give, it's possible that the company actually has more assets than it did when the stock was acquired. Businesses can grow, and it's possible (although not likely) for everyone to come out ahead. In the big picture, this works because productivity increases, and more can be created with the same resources. Although there are losers in the stock market, there don't HAVE to be losers in the stock market.

I'm on the side that GAW is legit, but this cracked me up. I read that part of the "whitepaper" and actually did a wanking motion with my hand even though no one was watching.

I still think the theory's sound, but that whitepaper is a mess.

Quote
Do not listen to these trolls. Majority of people who hates towards GAW are just spouting utter nonsense.

You mean like thermovacum controlled miners , you buy at 4$ few weeks later sell for 20$ sounds legit right?

White Paper? Bah, My investors dont even care about that shit, shut up asking about it.
Here is my  Pseudo Proof of Concept Code:

Blackhole::TI_Vaccum_Transaction() {
TI1 = Warp Proof-of-Work Hash (nBlockHeight ~ Proof-of-Transactional-Vaccumility(nth) );
TI2 = SHA256( TI1 ) * HyperDifficulty(n);
TI3 = Return ( TI2 – Eat at Joes(sponsored line)( directive ) );
return xCTI3;
}
Warptimefold::TI_Locked_Transaction() {
TILT = Translucent.TI_Sent_Transaction();
if ( TILT = Timefold_X+tx23(Verified_Transaction( mrch ) ) {
ThermoBlockConfirmation = true + A;
}
}

That should be enough codes to please the crypto nerds. OK now invest.

I don't know how connected price and adoption are. Look at Dogecoin. If you look at non-exchange transactions, it's the #2 coin, but its market cap is lower than something like NXT that nobody uses.

Initially, people will flip their BTC to Cinni, transact over Cinni, then flip back to BTC. The point of the BTC/Cinni wallet is to facilitate this. Then, as more people adopt Cinni as a transactional currency, it will gain value, and it won't be long before people start looking at it as a store of value since you can transact over it and hide assets in it even better than BTC.

This is a long process. In fact, Cinni might go down at some point as people with stashes of Cinni spend them and the recipients flip to BTC immediately. Eventually, though, it will gain traction, and as it gains acceptance, it becomes a useful store of value, and that's when the price will go up. Hopefully it won't go up from speculators trying to horde as much as possible like BTC, although it might.

IRC in new wallet only shows: "Connecting to IRC..."
And is disabled.
On Mac OS X Mavericks.

For me.

Did you set your display name in the wallet preferences?

Thanks! I just thought it wasn't enabled for Mac.

Careful to the member Bitcycle he's a FBI agent.
Why would being an FBI agent be a problem? We're buying and selling Cinni, not crack or preteens.

I should add that there are some things out there that do something similar. NXT has a messaging system that works well, but it's expensive. Every message costs some of their currency. So there are similar ideas, but I can't think of anything as easy or cheap to use.

Because it's heavily hoarded, and every time in history a tiny percentage of something is actually in use with the rest being hoarded, a crash occurs when people start liquidating those holdings.

Anyway, this isn't a bitcoin thread. As far as messaging, concentrated services aren't particularly secure. IIRC, Tormail and Hush have already been breached, and who knows if someone's man-in-the-middled the key exchange? Also, I feel a lot safer with something I don't have to register for. I just have to generate a key pair.

There may be something like this already out there, but I don't know anything about it.

This Messaging is pretty hot. I can see it being gateway to using the coin itself. Speculation: Soon, a lot of dark merchants are going to have Cinni addresses next to their bitcoin ones for communication. For a while, the coin will have limited use, but the messaging system will be heavily used. After the inevitable bitcoin crash, Cinni might be in the best spot to be the base cryptocurrency for the entire internet, as people will already have wallets for messaging.

Is there a link to a Mac wallet with Messaging somewhere in the 500+ pages of this thread? I would like to play around with that. (I know it wasn't released at the same time as Windows and Linux, but I could easily have missed a release.)
