I added my GAW story to the thread. Turns out I broke even. Still, I'm in the middle of procrastinating, so I added it anyway.

is this a new email?

lol I wish I was there........but considering I down the hall from you, I am not that hard to find.

Let me know when your up

How is Dubai, brother?

I tried. If the timestamp is to be believed, HJG at the moment is in GMT+0000, or the UK.

edit: or since we know Carlos just got nabbed for DUI and if HJG is not lying about being "down the hall", he is playing games somehow with his email timestamps and is crashing with his brother in wherever-the-fuck Vermont.

He knows it's a fake email. "Let me know when you're up" is a weird question to ask someone who's sending an email. He replies to the Dubai thing with how not "hard to find" he is. He knows it's not his brother. He's using misdirection.

I generally hate RTFM as a comeback, but these people should really just go to the site linked in the first reply. I was not familiar with colored coins, but the concept and utility became apparent after about thirty seconds on http://coloredcoins.org/

Quote
The term “colored coins” can be applied to a number of mechanisms for issuing and tracking particular Bitcoins.  These Bitcoins can then be used to represent assets other than their literal Bitcoin value. Colored coins can be used to represent stocks, bonds, smart properties, other currencies (such as dollars, pounds, yen, or euros etc.), and and different tokens like access tokens.

That site was linked two days ago. As recently as two hours ago,

Can anyone in easy words, explain to me, what this is? Blue coins? Red coins or what?

That ridiculous delusion "theme park" alone is 750K

Raised Of $750,000 goal

So that plus that  cake looking company and now a new moron who adds sideways pictures of himself.

3 companies for a total over 750,000 dollars what a fucking monumental success.

If I was less busy at work, I'd totally make a film project with a $2,000,000 target.

Possible projects:
"A Brief History of Crypto"
"Cryptowarriors"
"Klaatu Barada Crypto"
"A Crypto Named DesireCoin"

Okay, so this guy needs to be squashed before he throws an idea against the wall that actually does con people for a big encore.

So, say you're any federal agency. How do you stop this guy? Normally, you would freeze his assets, but his assets are in BTC. You can't arrest him because he's in Dubai. How do you keep this guy from executing another successful scam.

Because he will. One day, one of these lame attempts will work, and this will happen all over again.

big loudmouth back

This is an obvious lie. He launches an exchange (Mineral) and it gets essentially $0 volume, and he launches a crowdfunding site and people desperately throw $700K at it in less than a day? He's not even trying anymore at this point. He might as well have said 7 million.

He doesn't say that's much money came in. He said "worth of projects" meaning if all of them were fully funded, it would be over $700k.

You have much to learn of Garzaspeak.
127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 30, 2015, 08:35:22 PM
Wait, this guy seriously ran to Dubai? I thought that was just a running joke.
128  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 29, 2015, 05:02:32 PM
There was also never a "test prime" or "test coins"  that was another rumor/disinformation.  The test node was actually just the first prime node to stake.

That wasn't a rumor. That was a direct statement from either Garza or Mordica (forgotten which).

So that was a lie.

Edit: It was Mordica.

This is our address that we are using to test staking with (as there have been some problems with the staking in the past week or so).

You can see on the blockchain looking at the other addresses the staking hasn't been working as expected so this is another node used for testing latest fixes.

Thanks.

I've personally already spoke up about what you have done recently (the PC thing was discovered in the middle of an interview, also I will say I tried to stay objectionable).

You may try to stay objectionable, but I doubt you'll be able to keep up with Cryptsy.

I'm having trouble stopping laughing. I just might pee myself.

In Proof of stake consider stake weight, hashrate.

If you have 51% of the network stake weight you can exercise some control over the network others cant if you wanted to be malicious.

Having a prime node ourselves would help reduce gaw's and the Paycoin foundation overall stake weight %

Which the prime node helps encourage us to do as we can use any coins earned to give back to our customers

Okay, so the theory is that by controlling one or more prime controllers, you take the power of the coins they'd generate out of the hands of bad actors?

That's not a bad theory. Did you check the blockchain to make sure the other PCs weren't just dumping their entire stake? Is there some compounding hoarder threatening to take over the network?

Actually, you handle like 90% of XPY sales, so you can probably just check that on your own. I kinda thought all the PCs just dumped their stake. Do you have some addresses you identified that are accumulating coins, or did you just assume your theory was true?

It's not necessarily a bad thing to work off an speculative theory. I understand deals like that have time pressures. I'm genuinely curious to know if you identified any dangerous coin hoarders, especially considering that you have access to more data than anyone, and you might have checked it out when deciding whether to take on/keep your own PC.

Reading over this forum really reaffirms my decision not to frequent here.   There is so much misinformation and out of context information that this has really become more of a tabloid forum than one that actually helps users and the community.

It's pretty common when faced with a question that has an embarrassing answer to just insult the questioner instead of answering.

Q: "Why do you have a hyperstaking wallet? You say it's for the security of the network, but how does a hyperstaking wallet help secure the network any more than a regular one?"

A: "This is such a tabloid forum. There's so much misinformation. You're nothing but a blight on the community."
133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 28, 2015, 09:03:04 PM
Crazy theory: The PC keys were released as a final pump attempt. Reaching the minimum number of required coins gives people a reason to buy the coin, thus keeping the value from plummeting for just a little bit longer.

Of course, it will crash harder now because of all the extra coins being generated, but this keeps it afloat just a little bit longer for someone to make a final dump.
134  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 28, 2015, 02:32:17 PM
At this point I feel I have put my best effort forward on the Prime Controller issue . . .

You didn't, though. The core issue of why you have it is still unanswered. "Security" has been stated as a reason, but there has been no clear description of how making your wallet hyperstaking helps the security of the coin.

Your answer made no sense. "Obviously we have an interest in ensuring the network is stable to avoid "issues"." So you have a PC to give yourself an interest in the network, but you only acquired a PC because of your interest. So you already had the interest; why did you need a PC?

It still blows my mind that a partner in one of the most prestigious firms on Wall Street was conned into bankrolling this whole thing.

Scams can hit anyone, even the most financially sophisticated.

2. What does your exchange owning 1, 2, or even 3 'Prime Controllers' have to do with keeping this coin's network 'secure'?
Obviously we have an interest in ensuring the network is stable to avoid "issues".

I don't understand this answer. I still don't understand why an exchange owning a hyperstaking wallet makes the coin any more secure than the exchange owning a normally staking wallet.

I sarcastically said to someone yesterday, "Sorry I didn't cup your balls, bro." This thread has now influenced my daily speech.

Note, however, that I did not say that in a professional context to a business associate. That would get me fired.

Poor GAWCEO is missing the good old days when more than 5 people believed his lies, bullshit and deception.

Lies covered with false promises, covered by lies. Not even Garbozo can keep track anymore, and then he shit sprays his allies.

Did he really call Cryptsy a "cesspool"? Not even sure why he's worried so much, he's got Mineral and Paybase2  Grin

No, he called the forum for voting, i.e. bitcointalk, a cesspool.
139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 27, 2015, 09:52:53 AM
1) For any of this Prime Controller sketchiness to matter, someone has to want to buy the coin. For all of this "this coin isn't dying" to work, someone has to want to buy the coin. For all of the time, energy, and money spent by the Paycoin Foundation and Team XPY Dev to matter, someone has to want to buy the coin.

So that, to me, is the most compelling remaining question. Who is still buying?

2) The second most compelling line of investigation is how involved Cryptsy was in GAW's affairs, especially the CTO. I had no idea Long was CTO of Cryptsy, and that seems like a gamechanger. Even if Cryptsy washes its hands of XPY completely, it still has that historical relationship with an internet scam that was much tighter than previously thought. We knew Josh recommended Cryptsy as the exchange of choice, and I thought that was because he had bots set up on that exchange, but, as usual with this story, the reality involves a backroom deal and multiple bad actors.

3) How many hyperstaking wallets are there, now? It seems like this is something that might could be answered with blockchain analysis if I cared enough. I think those leaked private keys will transform any wallet with a certain number of coins into a hyperstaker. That's kind of a big deal. This effectively chases out any small owners of XPY. If you don't have enough to hyperstake, and everyone else is hyperstaking, the value in their wallets will remain fairly constant, but yours will drift towards zero.

4) Saying "but the REAL villain is Josh Garza" doesn't excuse scummy actions. There are a bunch of icky people involved in this, too many to name, really. Of those, the only one who's really come out and said, "My bad. I f'd up and helped scam a bunch of people" is Capuano. Every other person is trying to deflect blame for their actions onto Garza, and any integrity the Paycoin Foundation might have had was blown away when they inexplicably bumped their hyperstake rates up to 100% for no discernible reason. There is so much sketchiness, even with previously respectable businesses like GoCoin, that something like BitMain's super-professional dealings with GAW stands out as an exception.

On a less serious, more hilarious note:  I found something you guys haven't managed to catch yet.  If Garza is still in the U.S. he is hiding out in (possibly his family's) home garage.

Use Find:  Garza.  Note:  Garage/Dwelling Unit 3.

I'm pretty sure he's renting out the Hillcrest property. It might be hard to kick someone out on such short notice. Not to mention that it possibly was used as collateral for a $200k loan from Fraser, so he may not even own it very much longer.
