I have been day-trading since 1997 ...and can tell you that THIS is absolutely NOT-LEGAL...!!!

Call it "insider trading" ..."market manipulation" ...whatever you want ...but is ILLEGAL ... Wink

Just time to call authorities, Scott... Grin

ZiG

Is a stock buyback not legal? There's nothing "insider" about this. This $20 floor has been stated over and over and over again. They were very transparent about this. What's illegal about it?

This is a great day.

Not for me, as I cashed out before the surge, but it's great to see something with this much hype actually come through.

I mean, I still think the technical and logistical issues will doom the coin, but it's great to see it's not all a total lie.

It looks like he's going for it right now. Bots are pushing the price up on Cryptsy. Tonight's the night. I figure they want it up to the $20 range before Paybase launches.

coin-swap is down I can't log in  at  cryptsy. Does any one know any other decent exchange where I can unload my XPI? Thanks

https://shapeshift.io/

But try cryptsy again. I'm having no issues.

Did he just tweet his password  Grin

Now he has to change it EVERYWHERE.

Problem is someone has you and my coins that were sold. Someone has to lose when the house of cards comes down.... we just haven't seen that yet. Just because early people win doesn't make it any more valid or better.

While I see that point, I contend that now people are operating with pretty much full information. Before, there were a lot of natural assumptions that were courted by mangement but were totally incorrect. Now, it's pretty much all out in the open. People who invest now are doing it with full knowledge of the state of the coin's development, the nature of the browser plugin, and what Prime hashlets (on ZenPool) are actually doing. He gave people who bought in with imperfect knowledge and inaccurate, though reasonable, assumptions a way to get their money back by selling to people who know good and well what they're getting into.

Wow, it's crazy how unstable XPY is. On crapsy its suddenly trading for .023. Huge volume and it's dropping big time.

Eh, it's just like any other altcoin not named LTC or DOGE. All of them are crazy unstable.

I have to give GAW some credit for the way this turned out. I was able to make up the money I lost on solos by selling PC at .035. I'm in the black and still have a few PC left, an unconverted Prime, and a HashTaker (90 days) to play around with.

The thing is, that's not just me. HP->PC actually happened, and PC sold in the open market enough for pretty much anyone to make their money back, including people like me who bought expensive Primes and solos right before the crash.

After the coin release was underwhelming without any of the whitepaper implemented, it became clear that things weren't going to go well for PayCoin. To GAW's credit, they provided people an easy out to make a small profit by converting the HP and keeping the hype train up on PayCoin, even though it would be profitable for them to just drop PC like baby seal.

I just filled my HashStaker because why the fuck not? What else am I going to do with it? GAW just might be able to squeeze three months out of PayCoin before it inevitably crashes.

And I still contend, like I always have, that they're not a ponzi. They over-promise and under-deliver, but that's pretty common with small tech companies. I'm glad I'm out before the PC clusterfuck explodes, and I give GAW a ton of credit for providing that opportunity. HPs were just worthless tokens, but they made them into something valuable, if only for a short time. They were really under no obligation to do that when they did. They could have waited, and it would have helped PC's value to have them stay ephemeral. But they didn't, and they saved a lot of asses.

So what happens to the blockchain when POW ends soon? There are no Prime Controllers or Orion nodes to control the network and record transactions. They are supposed to handle transactions and mint coins when needed. If there are no miners and these parts of the infrastructure are not online the blockchain will stop growing and transactions and trades will become impossible to perform.

Actually according to the timeline, the prime controllers were already created on Monday the 15th.  So they are already out there.

http://www.tiki-toki.com/timeline/entry/376190/GAW-Timeline/

He's explicitly stated that they exist, and that the large investors received their coins with them.

However, nothing in our wallets interact with them in any way. So, yeah, issue.

Hey that would be kinda ironic if coin-swap just shut down and ran away with a couple 1000BTC of peecoin buyers and sellers money.
How is that ironic?

Why is everything HT vs BCT? Aren't we all on the same team? I don't get this.

I know, right? Some people are just Negative Nancies. It doesn't mean their hearts are in a different place.

Thanks. I donate quite a bit myself to the organization that I am involved with for troubled youth. I thought about setting them up with a BTC donation address, but people these days would figure out a way to cry and whine about it. Then call me a scumbag for stealing money and using kids to do it. Good intentions and honesty don't seem to matter much. I figure it's just easier for me to write them a check every month.

If you want to prove me wrong, and you guys would really care to support them, we can try it.

Who cares if people cry and whine about it? You might as well put up information about the organization.

The one thing that bothers me most is the Prime Controller thing. The CEO claims that the investors had to have their Prime Controllers operational before they could take receipt of their PayCoins. The problem is that I see nothing in the wallet code that references anything resembling a Prime Controller. In theory, the wallet only handles the compressed blockchain. That's not happening. In theory, the Prime Controllers have the ability to make instant confirmations, which means the wallet would have to check with them before reconciling the blockchain. (Alternatively, the miners could make the check when building the block, but that's not happening, either.)

He claims Prime Controllers are operational, but they are completely unused, so what are they?

I bought it when he said the coin's just starting out, and that the advanced features would come in future revisions. But if Prime Controllers exist right now, then at least two of the advanced features would have to be in place, and they aren't.

*cough* 5 btc depth and the price is below .02

Wasn't there for long. By the time I got BTC into the account, it was up over .025 again.

I just added an extra paycoin to my account so I can buy $240 worth of pudding with Paybase on Friday. (I only have 4400 HP, and I could buy just $220 worth of pudding, but I have to go all the way.)
557  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 16, 2014, 04:30:15 PM
People want what they can get now. Millions of coins will be dumped on Friday.  Wink

Dumped like "sold on an exchange" or dumped like "used via paybase to buy a gift card?"
558  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 16, 2014, 02:49:57 PM
I'm pretty sure at this point that there's no $20 buy wall.

The real suspense for me now is if my HP convert into PC and I can use them to buy something. They're essentially credit card rewards points if that's true, and I can totally live with that.

Will I be able to take 4K HashPoints and buy something worth $200 on amazon or overstock? If so, I will be very happy with GAW. To me, that's enough to live up to their promises. Heck, I might just get a $200 starbucks gift card. Or, if I get to 12 PC, $240 worth of pudding.

That would be pretty awesome. $240 dollars worth of pudding. Oooh yeaaah.
559  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 15, 2014, 07:23:25 PM
Anyone notice that, from an "investor" standpoint, what's happening right now is like a surrogate round 3 of the ICO? Paycoin was supposed to be open to a restricted number of people for $10 each. Now, you can get it for like $9.50 each on the open market.

The order's a little flipped, as Round 3 was supposed to happen after Round 2, but you can still get a bunch of XPY for under $10, and that was what was going to be available during this time period in the initial timeline.
560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 15, 2014, 06:40:00 PM
I'm too lazy to check your math Smiley, but assuming it's correct they still need $77.5m of revenue, unless you think the "investors" are a large charity. In other words, they will expect their money back, and then some, and on top of that HashStaker owners need to get paid their generous interest rate. That's the part that doesn't make any sense to me - why would GAW need to borrow money from their customers at such high interest rates, if they already have investors throwing 100s of millions at them. Or they could just go to a bank and get money at near zero rates, joys of the recession. The only feasible explanation I can come up with is that there are no investors other than Zen/Hashlet/Staker owners (and GAW's credit rating is crap). And since those customers are seemingly ok with any rule changes, this can go on for a long time.

They may also think that it's worth the interest to tie up the coin for that length of time. If they don't have enough to support all of the coins right away, they need some tied up in stakers until the coin gains traction in the open market. My staker numbers are probably way off. It could very well be the case that the hashstakers are the difference between being able to handle the initial dump and depleting the fund within the first couple of hours. If, as they hope, the coin gains value on its own, then they won't have to fully pay for the 3 month and 6 month dumps. Some of it will come from demand for the coin. But they need coins out of action for a little while for demand to surface.
