Speculation:
GAW is in a lot of debt. They expected to be able to pay off the debt with XPY proceeds, but the price is so low that they can barely afford the payments. That's why a lot of people left. They were going to have to take pay cuts to keep their jobs.
GAW will go bankrupt in the next three months. Garza will remain wealthy. Nobody will go to jail, and any fines Garza has to pay will be only a fraction of the salary and bonuses he extracted from GAW over the last few months.
That's all total speculation, but man they sound like a company with a large amount of debt and paltry revenue.

GAW has
-developers working on paybase features
-internal legal
-legal contractors
-no appreciable revenue
Software developers and contracted law firms are expensive. He might be able to get buy cheaply with his internal legal. Maybe he's trying to go cheap on his development by hiring contractors from India. That never seems to work well for anyone ever, and it could explain why everything is broken.

On one hand you want to act like professional journalists, on the other you go to the forums and spread unconfirmed accusations. Can you prove it's a GAW client that attacks you? Wasn't there a police investigation after your site was DDOSed for the firs time? You blamed GAW, said you have the ip addresses and will update the readers. I haven't seen an update, but what I did see were post like this one with more accusations.
Who else would do it besides a "GAW faithful?" |

I'm curious how he can prove the absence of an investigation. Does he have access to somebody in a high enough office of the SEC that has access to every single open investigation from all divisions, can do some kind of search, and can make for certain that there is no open investigation involving GAW, Garza, Mordica, Paycoin, Paybase, btc.com, ZenCloud, or any of the other thousand or so aliases? It seems like it would be nearly impossible to prove the absence of an investigation.
I think he's lying when he says he has proof.

Regardless, I have placed both a direct call and sent an email to Ms. Van Cleef tonight regarding this latest Garza "announcement" and I am awaiting her reply. One way or another, I expect to get a definitive answer and will act accordingly. What do you mean by "act accordingly?" What will you do if she confirms? If she doesn't confirm? It's good that you contacted her, as catching him in additional lies helps to expose him, but I don't know what kind of immediate action one would take either way. |

It's so funny that rootdude is now acting like he has been trying to help the community all along, but there are TONS of posts where he shat all over anyone who asked questions or tried to provide evidence that something shady was going on. What a douchebag liar. Remember that time he banned that guy because a poster here linked to his thread so quickly that rootdude was absolutely certain they were the same guy? Good times. Spoilers Spoilers Spoilers There will be a post on Paybase blog about all sorts of evil plots trying to destroy Paycoin/base and the lone superhero trying to save it. OK so here is the next plot twist - since obviously the SEC has been infiltrated by FUDers, Josh's next business plan is to move paybase TO THE MOON! This way he will be out of reach of the evil SEC. He promises a $20000 return for every $4000 you spend to help them build the moonbase! Wow, that's a really good return. I wonder if I should invest in Garza Moonshares. |

We agree to disagree on the outcome of all this and as such its all kept pleasant and cordial. Just the way I like it. Why lose friends over something as silly as a virtual coin eh?
Well, why lose houses and spouses over something as silly as a virtual coin? Only people who trusted GAW know the answer to that. Calling a virtual coin "silly" is what I like to call a "healthy attitude." I'm surprised you can dismiss Paycoin/Paybase as such and still keep things cordial with those who have staked too much on this gamble. |

It wouldn't be at all surprising if they're so close to broke that they are struggling to make payroll each month.
Did you hear something to that effect? Just wondering what prompted this comment or if I missed something in this thread somewhere. There is no proof that I know of but plenty of symptoms, from satoshi payouts to staff leaving. Think of this way - what do we know about GAW's income? Last known source of revenue was HashStaker sales nearly two months ago. Since then - nothing, except potentially dumping premined XPY. Well, they're still selling mining equipment. That might be at least a little revenue. |

Not Legal: - Lying about the nature of unregistered securites (e.g. claiming that they're purchases of actual mining equipment).
- Selling unregistered securities in the first place.
- Building a customer base with the sole purpose of coercing them to adopt/purchase a new product.
- Claiming a large price support fund many times the actual amount (or, alternatively, intentionally misleading people about how the price support fund would be used).
- Intentionally misleading people about the extent and nature of relationships with other businesses, specifically merchants.
Legal: - Being optimistic about your business' prospects.
There's plenty of illegal stuff without focusing on optimistic predictions. |

an the primes will be double the value worth $100. I'm pretty sure he thought this was going to be true. He didn't promise a specific dollar amount of price support for it, but he did lay out some reasons for his prediction. It's pretty clear that he thought the ability to convert to Hashstaker Primes would make them worth $100. I don't think this is fraud like some of the other claims. Yes he made this claim it would be worth $100. or double it's value. Also made the claim that you would be able to sell the miners on the market, yet still cannot sell the Hashstakerprime miners on the market. The claim of the miners being worth around $100 was made also, which lead to people converting them. The was option 1 and option 2. an the expire option was worth $136 but it's not even close to that number. GAW created spread sheets with prices on, an all the prices are fake. Just being wrong isn't fraud. It's probable that he thought his lie about the price support would be more effective than it was. It's probable he thought he'd have the developers available to support Hashstaker sales by now. The fraud is in the amount of money available for price support (as well as possibly merchant support claims). It's not because he thought his business would be doing better than it has. |
