1601  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 31, 2015, 10:16:49 AM
I agree, thank you for chucking out that Microsoft license and reverting back to open-source. Good to see you didn't let those lowlife copycats drag you down to their level. I hope the rest of the community will support you for this; I already have 3 and will continue to recommend your product as the #1 hardware wallet because it's obvious to me that the original developers are going to have the safest and most up-to-date product.

There's a saying I learned in Germany: "Wer billig kauft, kauft zweimal" - "If you buy cheap you will buy twice"  Grin

Yes, it is nice to have a backup. Some people that bought the original Trezor have had to buy twice due to various reasons. So better if less expensive to start with.

The site is back online, but there's nothing new on it.

I don't know what is going on, but if it was a classic scam, it would be already completely offline, or online with a statement claiming the site was hacked and the hacker had stolen all bitcoins/litecoins, or any other bullshit story. I remember when Bitcoin Trader went down (yes, I dumbass got scammed) and it was much different.

I'm just saying I have still some hope...   Undecided

You still have the reflink in your signature  Wink

Probably he's buying time as he soon will have an awesome product to sell...

If anyone gives him another satoshi before they are fully paid out for back payments that are mentally challenged.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCGear.com SCAM - Enough is enough, lets get some info together on: January 30, 2015, 05:38:20 PM
Do you think we'll see an updated payment schedule today?

Just more lies. Payouts are gone forever unfortunately.
1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCGear.com SCAM - Enough is enough, lets get some info together on: January 30, 2015, 03:08:44 PM
Website is offline.

Is he making changes or is it simply ...gone?

If he is not paying I hope the website is gone forever. Cruel to do what he has been doing if no intention to pay. Some people cannot handle the stress he has caused them. Time for them to mourn their losses and move on. By doing what he has been doing it has been prolonging the ability for some people to accept their losses.
1605  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: January 30, 2015, 01:55:23 PM
For what it's worth, ZoomHash is still at $325 + shipping. They accept PayPal and Credit Cards. They claim 5 days shipping in the USA.

Alas this is not be. I got an E-mail from Zoom Hash less than 48 hours later saying that they had to cancel the order. So my "S5 for $348 shipped to Minnesota, paid with Discover" turned into a flop. They are crediting the money back. Bummer.......  Undecided

My shipment was canceled too. Even with a simple excel sheet I would be faster than 3 days to know what I have in Stock or not... Speechless...  Lips sealed

This is from 2 pages back, but another thing to keep in mind about Zoomhash, (and others? How many or which I am not sure but I know Zoomhash) is they are supposed to handle the warranty claims according to Yoshi.I do not know the qualifying factors but I am sure if they are supposed to handle warranty they get a better discount.
Yoshi said Bitmain would handle my case but that is a whole different story which I will update in a bit.

Just keep in mind where your warranty is being handled, the people you will be dealing with, where they are, and (if you will have failures) where is the most likely point of failure. Of course how long is the warranty and what is the warranty reputation from existing users who your use will emulate. There is nothing wrong with learning by copying the best and back on topic sincerely research the service experience of others.

Does that mean that that Bitmain could not cover warranty issues if i bought them from DHGATE which is linked from Bitmain site?

Bitmain is the seller on DHGATE. It is just a site where Chinese sellers can sell and all payments are escrowed. You should have no issue with warranty.
1606  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER U3 Discussion and Support Thread on: January 30, 2015, 03:37:40 AM
So Dogie, did you get an answer from Bitmain why the option to buy five U3s is gone?  Cry

oohh the name are starred out it must mean something  Grin
with all the wacko around (and I might even include you in the list  Grin) who must be stalking (and/or harassing) all the schipor in the world, that sounds like a pretty good idea  Roll Eyes

Honestly who give a shit about the facebook page of friend of... that's just ridiculous.
Don't you think if anyone was searching about a friend of my facebook page ( Grin don't have any), I would engage in a conversation with a probable internet predator or stalker ? (try to put yourself 5min in the shoe of those people related or not, especially those who are not related).

edit: and that's probably the reason you made a new account for that...

Lavinia Schipor is not just a friend of Chris'. She owns 20% of his company Bitcage Tech SRL, that owns LTC Gear.

Just connected to the pool.

Been mining for 30 mins but all my stats are 0

I doubled checked the address and workers.

They are slow to update stats. Give it a little more time.

I'm a long time member of this forum and I have a good reputation. I could see you suggesting that if my account had 3 posts and was created a few days ago. I've been an active member of the community for 2 years. Trying to discredit a member with a long history is ridiculous. My concerns are reasonable. People who just bought their shares in December should not have to pay a fee. Chris said the purchase covers one year of hosting. The majority of us have only owned shares for a couple of months at best. He has not paid us for weeks and now he is talking about charging us more money. I'm concerned. If that sounds crazy to you, you might be a shill. Regardless, I'm done talking with you. I wasn't pushing for an argument. Just wanted to share what I've experienced and opinions on his announcement now that things are looking fishy.

It will be great if Chris pays us what we are owed. I would very much like for his operation to be legitimate and successful. If he wants to charge me a pro-rated fee for 1 month of 2014, I'll pay it. Otherwise, we've got some issues to discuss.

I didn't try to discredit you, I was tying to point out how strange your story sounded.   There have also been many scammers with old accounts.   That doesn't seem to really mean that much.   I don't think any of us can be fully trusted here.   We know that there were serious breaches at LTCgear and that even the purchase orders and transactions can't be trusted since some of the attacks changed the collection addresses of the site.   This is a very serious issue.   It is likely that many of these shares were then sold to people here or even resellers.   It is a very real mess.   It is also possible that Chris lied about that.   There isn't anyway to tell who to trust right now with the payments stopped.

I'm sorry that you feel that I attempted to discredit you.   I just find your story every strange and inconsistent with my LTCgear experiences.

On the contrary, during the 12/12 and 12/19 payouts many people were complaining that they were getting shares instead of LTC. His story is right inline with what I saw people complaining about on the forums while it was happening. His story is entirely plausible. I simply did not get paid anything for over 6,000 shares purchased on mid December. I fully believe his story 100%.

Thanks for the advice chief.

I've had C.A.T. for a long time now, and I have almost all the available APIs attached to my personal accounts. I have  and also have been a member of Coinbase for a long time.

C.A.T. is a great program, I don't plan on selling it, nor do I plan on giving up my Coinbase account any time soon.

So wait, what was your advice again? That it's cheaper to buy another copy of C.A.T. and add my Coinbase API? Or did you just respond because you wanted to complain about some perceived injustice over a piece of software?

Peace

Just letting people know that skipped over it in the original post the apis cannot be changed. Someone posted they wanted to buy someone's license rather than buy a new copy. I think the software is fairly priced. If someone wants to buy it they should buy a new copy rather than trying to buy someone's license with locked in apis.

I don't believe the site was hacked. In crypto when you want to stop paying the de rigueur thing to do is claim you got hacked, pretend you are mitigating it and then shut down the operation. Chris thought we would stupidly pay him some "tax" to steal more money before he shuts down. My prediction the site is never updated again and we will never have any communication from Chris ever again unless it is in a Romanian courtroom, which is very unlikely.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【BOT】 C.A.T. Cryptocurrency Automatic Trader (140+ Feedbacks) New Version 2.7 on: January 28, 2015, 02:07:16 AM
Intrested in buying C.A.T. if someone selling.

You do realize that sold copies he only changes the user name in his list. He will not change any APIs (this is covered in his first post of this thread) so you would need to take over the seller's exchange account also if you want to trade on the same exchanges the seller of the copy of C.A.T. did. How much are you going to save .1 or .2 btc. Just buy yourself a new copy tied to your personal APIs for the exchanges you want to trade on.

Are the support staff very thick or do they just play the act very well??? Or do they not understand English?

I contacted BitmainTech by email about them changing the price at the time I was purchasing.

My email to them...

I am not happy with your company for changing the price as I made an order. That is the wrong thing to do and misleads the customer. I added the product to the Cart and it was US$341 but when I payed it changed to US$370. If you are going to change prices you should delete the old product listing and create a new one, not edit the product listing that people are currently purchasing from.

I would like a refund of the difference because it was very deceitful on your part. I worked it out to be 0.097 BTC extra that I payed because of your editing.

Reply from info@bitmaintech

Hi,
sorry for the confusion.
price will be adjusted from time to time due to marketing policies.
When you place the order, the price in our website should be followed.
Thanks for your understanding.

Best Regards

BITMAIN

My reply back

You changed the price as I processed the order... This is how the events happened.

1 - I opened the product page for the S5, It had the price of US$341
2 - I added the product to my cart, the price displayed was US$341
3 - I went to the checkout to choose shipping and confirm while the whole time it showed US$341
4 - After I had confirmed the order the price magically changed to $370

Why should I have to be understanding? The price changed while I made the order. Like I have said, the price was US$341 until i got to the payment screen. Because of this I did not notice the changed price. This was very deceitful.

Like I said before, you should not be editing existing product listings. If you want to change the price, you should be deleting the listing with the old price and creating a new listing with the updated price.

Reply from info@bitmaintech

Hi,
The product in the cart cannot show the latest info after we update it.
Suggest you add it to cart when placing the order, then you'll get the correct info.
We'll consider your suggestion in future.

I can assure you that it DID change. Could someone from BitmainTech actually take this seriously instead of trying to sidestep this.

I suggest you send a PM to Bitmain_Janet. She seems to be the magic person that correct situations like this.

I hope nobody falls for this and pays him anything until we are all paid all coins that are due from back payments. I for one purchased in December and only received one payment. I know others who purchased at the same time as me and received nothing. To pay a "tax" to get what is owed to us just looks like another attempts at scamming us to me.  Angry

I will not pay a single fucking satoshi until I am paid for the seven weeks he still owes me for. Nothing since 12/19 onward.

What is that withdraw button for?

is anyone seeing their MODs?

I don't want to sound like a sarcastic douche but it's probably to withdraw.

It is to withdraw our fictional balances that just say pending.

About the maintenance "tax" fee ... Just making a guess.

1) All shares would be treated the same.  Current wording supports that.
2) Current price would be the $900 / 3K shares
3) 20% since that is the high estimate.

20% * $300 / 1000 shares = $60 / 1000 shares.    Roughly 2.5 weeks of payment right now.   Thankfully LTC has gone up.

That is my guess based on:
"Hosting and power costs are included for one year. After each year, a power/hosting/maintenance has to be payed to maintain ownership for another year. The fee is around 5% – 20% of initial share price and it can be calculated only at the end of the year."

He cannot realistically think he is getting 1 satoshi out of anyone until he pays us all the back payments, plus missed payment from 12/12 and 12/19 and final affiliate payments. Chris you pay us before we pay you anything more.

All my shares were purchased in December and were supposed to include one full year hosting and maintenance. Was not paid on over 6,000 shares yet that were purchased just before the "hacks." Why the hell should I pay this "tax" on shares I have owned less eight weeks and have never been paid 1 satoshi on them?

Buy from chris again... These next.gen are amazing... You give money and never get payed.. Its the new money eater... Very high tech...

Before the "hacking" incident the Gen2 did pay a small amount. 12 qasic shares per Gen2 share.
