So another excuses from him, i dont know how long he think this locking withdrawal will hold people and the shops seems to be out of stock, either he has already the coins that he owed us and doesnt need to sell anything to support his ponzi, or this is just another of his trick to fool us ,another 53 hours for me

He never responded or resolved anyone's support requests either. Nice of him to put up a support form, require that all support requests be submitted through the form and then ignore them all.

how long do these things take to ship to usa? i feel like i ordered mine forever ago, hasnt come.

If you live in the USA it took 3-4 weeks before I received mine, which is wayyyy to long in today's world....but would you really trust receiving it from any 3rd party supplier? --Probably not...

The delay is all caused by US Customs very slow incoming processing of packages. I just received two Trezors last week delivered to Thailand in six days from ordering to receipt. Thai customs incoming processing less than one day. Left Prague day after being mailed. Arrived two days later and was delivered next mail day.

New f.....g update:

Lockdown is extended by 36 hours.
Very important! Users accessing website via scripting or proxies/vpn/thor will get their account hardlocked.

yeah and i am santa clause^^

Ehm, why can't I access whatever I want on the web via a VPN?
Also, why doesn't ltcgear support https any more?

Because he is never going to pay and eventually he will hardblock all accounts and claim he is paying the ones that are not blocked, but everyone's will be blocked. Clever scammer. Piece of Shit.
1364  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: March 16, 2015, 10:34:51 AM
In cgminer, there is a specific path and process of work from the pool to cgminer, to the device, back to cgminer and back to the pool again.
Bitmain messes with that process.
My first release I did of their S1 driver, I spent time fixing that process.
They ignored the changes.

So the simplest answer is to point out that what the Bitmain antminers show with their versions may not always be correct .......... on all their miners.

Thanks for the answer! Bitmain really ignored it? They have really been letting me down lately with all their sites being down due to DDoS, and now this, but that's life! My main reason for asking about it in the first place is because I was debating on trying solo mining, now I know it was a BUG (like an ANT  Wink ) and solo mining would pretty much be pointless for me.

~Mike

Bitmain messes up a lot of things. Every version of S3 firmware introduces some new problem. They are very sloppy in writing firmware and seem to not test it very well either.

I will have to agree, there is no consistency. It took me some time to find a stable firmware. Updating firmwares are always risky with any device, the less you do it, the better. I had to do this more than I would have liked.

I recently sold my S3 but I stuck with the October 23rd firmware it came with. Could not hard reset but never had a need to. This seems to be the best firmware absent the reset button issue.

You didn't get a tracking number?

They leave Europe within a day or two. US Customs can take one to three weeks or longer to clear incoming packages. Even if trackable, they do not publicly track within US Custom's facilities.

The Japanese in this (last line) is incorrect. It should read:
ここで受け取ります

I think having international ones is good, but perhaps they could be made separate so that merchants can choose the one for the country in which they are selling. Paypal does the same kind of customization for what credit cards are accepted on their logo images.

Are you Japanese?

You are not wrong, but it seems like your suggestion is a full sentence and it means like "receive" more than accept. I think the one in the Logo is already good enough for Japanese...

The one in the logo is informal Japanese and the suggestion if more formal Japanese. It has been a long time since I lived in Japan. I don't know how put off Japanese would be by having something informal written on a sign like that.

Doesn't make sense to me that balances are hidden during the lockdown .

The balances part of the site is still a plain text-widget. There is no functionality there to show dynamic balances. Have to hope he is working on that today and tomorrow. Unlikely though.

Have to agreed. I will be shocked if after 48 hour lockdown , balances show up in accounts.
For me that will be late morning on Monday when count-down clock expires, for some it will be earlier...please post here once you know.

If balances show up in the accounts I will probably die of a heart attack.

Finally could log in. Changed payout address since timer reset anyway. Have no real hope of getting paid but might as well log in to let the timer run out.  Embarrassed

1372  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem with receiving payments to USED address. on: March 12, 2015, 08:36:06 AM
Hello
I'm using portable 1.9.5 version.
I have been receiving payments many times to the same address (it is in used list). The next time the person sent it to me bitcoins didn't appear on my account.
I can see that this address is still in used addresses column.
How can I receive those coins (as he cannot recall the payment I guess)?
Has anyone faced same problem?
Thanks

Just sounds like not fully synced. Go into settings and manually select an Electrum server. You can also search on the address in Blockchain to verify the funds are in that address.
1373  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: wallet really won't open, tried deleting config, reinstalling, etc. on: March 10, 2015, 06:07:15 PM
i posted a similar link a few days ago but now i cant log in to this forum with that account and the password reset just never shows up in my inbox after multiple tries for a whole day. wierd. but back to my electrum problem!

one day it just wouldn't open. it looked like it was trying to, then nothing. i tried opening it from the desktop shortcut, the file in the program files (x86) folder, and cmd. i uninstalled and downloaded the electrum 2 version. and now instead of doing nothing a window pops up that says "cannot read wallet file". i went to the appdata>roaming>electrum file and deleted "config" and "blockchain_headers" there are two folders in that file named "certs" and "wallets" but i did not delete those. no matter where i try to open electrum from after that i get the cannot read message and the config and blockchain_header files reappear back where they were.

i am on windows 8. i have my password/seed written down but i don't have another computer to work from. I'm not super computer literate but i will try my best to follow any instruction or help i receive. i'm 2 weeks into my first computer science class!

thank you

Are you trying the 2.0.2 version? I think there is a problem with this new version. If you can download the initial version 2 Windows setup. That one works well so far.

Hi

I want to buy Trezor. Becouse itīs awesome.
It only stores BTC? (is here any HW wallet for altcoin?)
The Trezor is capable of storing altcoin wallets if I remember correctly, but it just needs to be supported by altcoins devs for it to function. I don't think many altcoins support the Trezor, if any do at all though.

In the Trezor log files it shows the coins it supports already. Just need developers to create wallets for them.

So guys, lets say hypothetically I want to move nearly 8M DGB from the exchange that they are currently on and lets say that when I attempt this, it fails because the transaction is too large. In fact it turns out that even a transaction as low as 100K DGB is too large but I did manage to pull a small amount close to 33K DGB off. I'm starting to feel a bit boxed in, 100K too big 24.9K too small?

The exchange support report the reason for this is that;
"The issues with the DGB are due to wallet fragmentation on it. There are too many small inputs in the wallet currently and it simply cannot combine them into a single transaction with 512kb in size. You can try smaller amounts - 100-200K usually go through without a hickup. We have no intention of holding your coins in any way - this issue is common to all the ctrypto currencies, as there is a working mechanism to make smaller inputs out of larger ones, but no working mechanism to reverse the process. We apologize for any inconveniences. "

Surely you don't expect me to make a few hundred 2FA transactions to retrieve my funds I ask.

not at all they say, this is what they said;

"Your best bet would be to sell the DGBs off for other currency, such as BTC for example and withdraw them - that is if you need the coins right away. Other option is to try once in a while. There is a very small turnover in the DGB wallet, which causes it to be fragmented. But when someone makes a big deposit - that usually solves the problem. Really this is an issue with all the coins in essence - it just does not happen much on the more popular ones because transactions go in and out all the time and keep the inputs refreshed."

What do you think about this guys?

The exchange should do transactions to consolidate the coins so you can withdrawal in one transaction. I find their response to you to be unacceptable.
1376  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2.0 release on: March 09, 2015, 05:22:09 PM
Just downloaded Electrum 2.0.2 from the official website and download was stopped by Avast reporting a trojan (Win32:GenMalicious-BQF[Trj]), see image below.

Anybody else had this?

http://screencast.com/t/YATAshhXJrO

I think a false positive. I am using with a Trezor so not much risk also since the private keys cannot be exported unless I am stupid and reveal my seed somehow. I scanned the Windows installer with Defender and it reported no viruses.
1377  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: March 09, 2015, 02:14:40 PM
I'm looking for something to replace mytrezor.com and installed electrum.  However when I installed it (and the trezor python module), it asked for my trezor seed. I understand this has the private seed.  This would mean I'm revealing the private keys to electrum.  I simply want a watch-only style wallet on my pc, but that uses trezor to sign tx.

Can electrum do this?  Any other wallets that do this?
It asked for your seed because you chose "restore wallet" instead of "new wallet." Restore is to get coins from lost or damaged Trezor which needs the seed. Choose new and it will connect to Trezor as you want. Or you can just cancel the restore without inputting seed, open the created wallet file and it will connect to Trezor to finish installing that wallet. It does work without inputting the seed, which you don't want to do obviously.

Well restore wallet seemed most appropriate as the trezor has a wallet on (with funds on it).  I just want to confirm it's fine to go ahead as you specify given that I already have funds on the trezor wallet.

Yes, no problem. It does not write the seed to the Trezor. Just gets the master public key to generate addresses to get balances.

Is there a guide to underclocking the S3 Huh

Couldn't find anything decent or an "easy to do" tutorial  Roll Eyes

Thanks!!!  Wink

You can get settings from the bitmain tech site under the support. Get the info for the chip and it will tell you what volt and freq combo's to use.

https://www.bitmaintech.com/files/download/BM1382_Datasheet_v3.0.pdf

Is what you want. Also updating to latest firmware makes it a breeze to do.

it was my impression that the latest firmware removed the ability to set the voltage as just a few had the chips that were programmable and you cant tell from looking at them.

Yes, that is correct.
1380  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: March 07, 2015, 04:21:15 AM
Do you store device_ID and shipping info somewhere?

In TechCrunch podcast was little conversation about Trezor at 00:04:38
http://techcrunch.com/2015/03/05/this-week-on-the-techcrunch-bitcoin-podcast-do-you-even-invest/

They already answered this. If there is an device id (such as cpu serial number) they do not store it anywhere. The Trezors are shipped blind. They put them in the box and glue them like fantatics and there is nothing on the box to indicate which Trezor is inside except a sticker denoting the color of the unit's plastic case. The cannot track you by any Trezor they sent you as they do not know who got sent which device. They only now how many physical units they have shipped to you.
