Why do u guys even try to check his updates anymore? U just waste time and energy.
Because they are nincompoops. A bit of free time is still a lot of entertainment. Almost 150 pages worth so far. Seems fairly easier to see the site is still in non-paying status instead of having to skim through the multitude of threads and posts across different forums dedicated to just this one topic. And if you're wondering why they still check, it's because money has value and apparently they lost some. Go figure. But checking the site is like checking a dead horse every day that is lying in a field. It just gets more decomposed every day and the flies and insects are all around it. This horse is dead. Stop kicking it.

In the 2.0.4 windows installer version when you try to create a new wallet with a BTC Chip (hardware wallet) the program just shuts down. Can never get the wallet created. Chip already is initialized with a seed and PIN.

Yeah, Authy does feel easier to use. The choice/process to use it on multiple devices was pretty simple. But interestingly, perhaps this relative "airtightness" of Google Authenticator makes it more secure, according to this: http://android.stackexchange.com/a/92915In any case, I'd like to know if there's any way I can "access" or "get a glimpse" of the QR code of the 2fa that my Electrum wallet is associated with, or some other way to use Google Authenticator/trustedcoin on 2 devices. A lot of programs and websites will only display it one time and once you confirm it by entering the proper code they will never show it again for security purposes. Some sites warn you to make a screenshot to preserve it before confirming it and it disappearing.

I've set up a 2fa Electrum wallet, and I had Google Authenticator on my phone recognize the QR code that was shown on screen during the set up so that my Google Authenticator has a trustedcoin.com account that gives me that 6-digit code every 30 seconds or so. However, I'd like to be able to use my Electrum account in case I lose my phone. Can I set up the same thing with Google Authenticator on my tablet? I didn't print out or save an image of the QR code that was given by Electrum during the initial set up.
Thanks!
Not sure bout that. In the future consider using Authy. It is Google Authenticator compatible and gives you a way to save all your credentials in an encrypted format on their glad. Can use on multiple devices and change phones, etc.

Is the wallet file the same version of Electrum? If it was created with an older version you need to use that version to restore it, since I believe that the newer versions of Electrum have changed the file format? Not sure, but that is what I would try.

I have 0.007BTCs balance on my Electrum wallet and when I'm trying to send the funds to blockchain.info address, The Electrum wallet allows me to send only 0.003 BTCs, when I type 0.004 BTCs or more I show the number in red and says "not enough funds". So, anybody knows why this happens or it is more than 50% transaction fee?
What version of Electrum are you running. Can you post a screenshot of the send screen showing the .003 and what fees it is trying to charge you? I'm using version 2.0.3 of Electrum. The screenshots are attached (first - when I type "!" to send all funds, second when I'm trying to send 0.004. My Electrum 2.0.3 send screen shows the fee under the amount being sent so you can see what is happenign and can change it. Go into settings and set it so to "set transaction fees manually" and you will have a fee box. You can then see what it is trying to charge and you can change it to something more reasonable like .0005 and see if you can send.

Some people claim to have been payed up to last week, and frankly i start to believe those who got paid is to silence all the others.
Could you kindly give a link to such a claim. This is the first time I hear such a thing... +1 Nobody claimed they got paid up to last week as far as I know... Not a single one (forget the trolls and/or sarcastic posts) has said they received a payment since last week of Dec... Chris got paid every week.

Thanks. But a question still remains unclear: are these new change addresses (beyond the first three) covered by the original seed? Or in this case I'll need to do a new backup?
All of the change addresses (and normal addresses) are covered by the original seed. Thanks. I was spending some of my coins today and noticed there are now 6 change addresses instead of 3. BTW, is there a way to force Electrum to use more than 1 change address in each transaction? It could split the coins between multiple change addresses, which could turn more difficult for who is receiving the coins from me figuring how many bitcoins I have (or still can figure, but they won't see the entire balance so easy). You would just manually send some btc to one of the change address or any of your addresses as part of the transaction. If you are able to send to more than one address at a time.

As the title says.
For example I have a Multibit wallet that contains 100 addresses. Multibit shows me the total balance of the wallet. I need to know which addresses make up this balance. Several addresses out of these 100 may be empty and there may be just a couple of addresses that make up the total balance of the wallet.
How do I know?
With Multibit you cannot. The developer's purposefully keep this information hidden to make the wallet a beginner's wallet. If you want to see each individual address and balance switch to Electrum 2.0.X.

Hi,
Thank you for your help. It works when Trezor is plugged in.
Suggestion to improve Electrum: When choosing the Trezor hardware wallet option, open up a message that says to plug in the Trezor instead of letting Electrum crash, if Trezor is not plugged in.
Thank you!
Mine does not crash when Trezor not plugged in. Just goes into watch only mode. Shutting down is no problem. Plug in I had trouble with was Green Address Instant Confirmation so I disabled it.

Hi ThomasV, I have Electrum 2.0.3 running on Windows as well as Trezor. When I wanted to set up a new wallet in Electrum based on Trezor it did not work. Then I have seen that I need to install a Trezor wallet plugin. I did not manage to do this. My question/request for you would be: Couldn't Electrum already come with the Trezor plugin as a default? For an average user everything else is too complicated. This would significantly enhance the value of Electrum. Thank you! PS: When I want to download Electrum 2.0.4 as a Windows installer ( https://electrum.org/#download), it always downloads the 2.0.3 setup exe. 2.0.3 installer for Windows includes the Trezor plugin and by default it is on. Just set up a new hardware wallet and select Trezor with your Trezor plugged in. It should work.

All of the change addresses (and normal addresses) are covered by the original seed. That's the beauty of an HD wallet. Just having your seed can recover all you bitcoins in any address ever used. Don't even need a wallet backup if you have the seed written down accurately somewhere and it is not lost or destroyed.

Okay so right now one address of mine under change has the 8 btc. I will be requesting around 21 btc. So if i choose any of the 9 addresses except the the under change that has the address with 8 btc,
does that mean it will show 21 btc at an address... then the current one with my 8 btc will have another address? But if i send it directly to this address with the 8btc... then it will show 29btc total as oppose to 8 btc this one and 21 btc in another one?
Can someone answer this part? Going to request the btc later. Yes, but it does not matter. The addresses are irrelevant. Each send to an address is a separate input and is like having multiple coins in your pocket. Does not matter which address you send it to or what the balance of each address is. All you care about is that you control the private keys which makes you the "owner" of the btc in these addresses.

By default, Electrum generates only 3 change addresses. Is there a way to configure it to have more change addresses? 3 is very little...
I suggest that you use the most recent version of Electrum (2.x).... That would give you about 2 billion change addresses. Hopefully that would be sufficient I'm using the 2.0 version, but only 3 change addresses appears on the list (the same beavior as of 1.9). It generates a new one every time one is used. You have infinite change addresses. If you want to see more in the list there is a console command to change but then if you recover from seed you must know what you changed it to or it might find all your bitcoin during a recovery. Better to keep the default settings. If you click the arrow next to "used" under "change" you will see any that were used and no longer have a balance.

My guess is that he's buying as much time as possible to funnel the coins and money in different places to hide his tracks.
It's a sad state of affairs. Hopefully everyone learned from this..
As a community we need to develop better escrow so someone like him doesn't have access to 100% of funds at all times (both fiat and the coins he mined) and be accountable to no one.
It seems it s game over. When was the last time he updated the website? Yup, it's over. The last update was exactly one week ago (March 19th): "Most of balances left in pending mode will be cleaned as late as this weekend." The week came and went. It's all BS... No btc from LTC Gear for my birthday?

So do i request btc to any of those 5 addresses shown under receiving used or those 4 addresses shown under change? Again im very confused at this so want to make sure i receive the btc correctly as not sure if its in receving or change and still unsure why my 8 btc are in one of those addresses on change...
Yes. All those addresses will work and you will receive the btc.

Can someone tell me which is my current bitcoin address now? I took a look and the one that i used for 2 transactions... i had around 20btc there... then sent around 12 btc... so have around 8btc there. However... apparently the 8btc is no longer in that bitcoin address but its in another one now?
I have to request btc and not sure which address im suppose to now.
There is no current address. You can use any of them. They are all your addresses and current forever. If you want to use an unused address just use the next one in the list. If the receive tab is showing you a used address, click new to get the next address in line. You are way over thinking it. Just give any address shown as yours in the list and get your btc sent to you.
