Claymore, run some test on rx480 to fix the fluctuation problem on rx480 cards.
I use stock cards for tests. Yes at some dcri value I can see memory controller load deviations in GPU-Z, it's about 90% but then it's 65% for a few seconds. For my Nitro+ 480 I see it at "-dcri 47". Try to increase -dcri value a bit, for me "-dcri 50" is stable. Of course your values will be different if you use different card/bios/clocks. Yes it is stable with dcri 50, however it decreases eth hashrate in greater amount. Instead, if possible could you please double check miner code and see if miner works stable, without sacrificing ETH hashrate? For me "-dcri 30" is the most for ETH >> 29.3 ETH, 875 DCR but when using this value, gpus randomly have memory controller load deviations in GPU-Z, and this is seen through miner console. As a result lower effective hashrate is calculated on pool. What if you use "-dcri 35"? This thread is long and I am new to your miner. What does the -dcri value do? Right now my startup script (copied from Nanopool) does not have this value set. |

Developers do not count on the great popularity of the coin? Accounts are created on the blockchain. There are five new accounts every block created. You can have a payload sub account under an exchange's account, such as Poloniex. If you mine on Nano pool they will award you an account every 20 coins you earn mining. You need to install the wallet and export your wallet's public key. Without an account the wallet cannot receive coins. Did I understand correctly? Also do you really believe billions of people will use this coin? And if there is a shortage then accounts will have a value and can be sold. Accounts can be transferred to another owner via their wallet's public key(s). |

Hey wolf the fee is doubled for decred only ? are you sure, because i did not find and info for that..
From the readme file: This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 1% for Ethereum-only mining mode (-mode 1) and 2% for dual mining mode (-mode 0), every hour the miner mines for 36 or 72 seconds for developer.
Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal is mined without developer fee.
If you don't agree with the dev fee - don't use this miner, or use "-nofee" option.
Attempts to cheat and remove dev fee will cause a bit slower mining speed (same as "-nofee 1") though miner will show same hashrate.
If you are dual mining any coin he mines Eth for 72 seconds for himself using your miner(s). It just means he only mines Eth for the developer fee. 36 seconds if mining Eth, 72 seconds if mining two coins. |

Hopefully nobody mad I am resurrecting an old thread.
I am running an MSI RX 470 8GB OC. I switched to Claymore Dual today from Genoil Miner so I could mine two coins at once. My driver is 16.300.2311.0. I have notice a hit in mining Ethereum by about 2 to 3 MH/s but I am now mining Pascal coin also (I tried Decred but every pool rejected all my shares so I switched to Pascal and all shares are being accepted). As mentioned above Claymore recommends downgrading the driver to Catalyst 15.12. Will I see a little more speed in mining Ethereum (I am minin on ethermine.org) or should I leave the latest driver in place. Before switch to Claymore Dual on Genoil I was leveraging 22 to 23 MH/s (varied a lot with some quiet high spikes and some very low lows) now on Claymore Dual I am getting a pretty constant 20.5 MH/s.

I was trying to use this. Eth was mining fine on ethermine.org but on multiple Decred pools all shares were rejected. Why are all Decred shares rejected? Should I try another coin for the alternate coin being mined?

Ye no cloud mining will make u rich fast that's for sure. Cloud mining will only make you poorer. They are all virtually scams. if it was so profitable they would just mine it all themselves and not get money from you to run the operation and eventually skip with when enough suckers have signed up. |

You do not want to set a secret question. If you use it to recover your password your account will be immediately frozen. |

It will disable it. ~BCX~ I understand that you can have it turned off, I actually had it turned off before, but thought I'd improve the security. I ment it's strange that the possibility of adding a secret question is still in there, if the feature is bugged and gets people locked out (for months). Unfortunately it is not a bug. A while back the user database of the forum was hacked. Logins were compromised. Theymos did it so the hackers could not get the password via the reset option. And they purposely kept it secret so the hackers would not know about it. They won't be turning it off. Just need to know or once you do it and get your account reinstated you will never do it again. But someone who did have a BTC address six months prior in a post or signature has no chance of recovering the account. |

Shit.....just got locked out of my account by answering the secret question. I can't believe they haven't taken this out or disabled it yet. I'm afraid I won't get control back of my "main" account for a long time....

I never use the download in the links he provides. I always download from the source (i.e., Microsoft in this case). Valid keys you can use genuine installation packages. So yes if you already have install media or file from Microsoft, use that. |
