Well , I'm not sure if having a screen plugged in on you onboard VGA have anything to do with bad hashing, I'm running Win 10 pro with monitor on my onboard VGA and mining on 2 X RX480 8Gb, it does not make a difference when I unplug it..

Does anyone ells think it's better to have no screen attached?

I am running Win 10 Creators Edition (1703). Have a monitor connected to HDMI and use the computer as my main computer. Hardly anything affects hashing rate. Watching a video affects it slightly. The only thing that stops hashing is running Photoshop as it takes over the card to use to speed up the editing. This computer has one RX 470 in it. Other rig with multi GPU also running Windows 10.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GROUPBUY 5 - RESERVATION on: April 27, 2017, 09:26:53 AM
Just paid using bank transfer to their UOB Singapore account. Can't wait to get delivery of the quad-cubes.

Care to share what bank account number they gave you to transfer to? This way people can cross reference it to see if it's legit and the same. It's pretty easy to spoof emails coming from baikal@baikalminer.com. So if someone see that the bank account numbers are different, then it's a red flag.
I made payment to:

UOB Bank main Singapore

to:

Vitcore Holdings Limited
acc: 451-906-071-4

still waiting for them to acknowledge the payment..

UPDATE: just got an email from Baikal saying;

Hi!
Thank you for your support. Once we receive the payment, we will let you know.

best regards,
Baikal

Have they ever acknowledged payment received?
from baikal, not yet. I did ask the bank and they told me up to 3 days but normally the receiver should  get the fund the next day itself.

SWIFT wire transfers usually get credited within one business day.

Why the link v. 9.2 loads 8.0?!!

Download from Mega not Google Drive.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GROUPBUY 5 - RESERVATION on: April 26, 2017, 12:57:23 AM
Having ordered from Baikal before I will NOT be buying anything before they get their shit together. Website down, can't give you any straight answers on anything, and now they are producing some hacked together Quad Cube. No thanks.

Also, why did I find three different Facebook pages for them. Which one is the legit one or are they so screwed up they actually created three different Facebook accounts for themselves?
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BAIKAL GROUPBUY 5 - RESERVATION on: April 25, 2017, 04:12:04 PM
If they are so backwards in their comms and can't have a real webshop and ordering system, and people are getting scammed left and right with copycats? why bother?

They need to step up their game to be a real company and not take an online order and go through back channels to confirm on copycat skype channels, then email etc.

People I know personally lost money due to being scammed, and this is a terrible way to do business in my opinion.

If you can't communicate with your customers, then you don't deserve them Smiley

thanks!

When I go to the website even when items are in stock it never adds them to the cart. The website looks like a four year old child made it. If they can design kick ass mining hardware why can't they put together something better than an elementary student could do? The website is a real joke. One of the worst I have seen in a very long time.

Apparently there is no RX470, AMD went from 460 to 480. The 470 is just an overclocked 460 with 4GB that the mfg's decided to call a 470. They (the mfg's) had no reference design, stuffed in ram they found in a recycling bin and pawned them off on unsuspecting consumers.

That being said, I'll be getting some rx460's with 4GB samsung ram later this week for half the cost of a 480.

Good luck with Your purchase. Of course they are the same if You omit fact that You need two RX460 to match one RX470/480 hashrate.

Somebody said they're getting 20+ Mh/s on the 4GB card, I'll be getting one to find out if that's the case.

In any case MSI has taken back their $350 a pop twin garbage cards and I'm stuck without cards or cash and a broken promise that they would call me in "two weeks"; this sucks almost as much as asic pre-order scams. These cards hurt less at $150 a pop if I'm going to get screwed like that on them.

I don't think that is true about the MSI RX 470 chips actually being RX 460s. My RX 470 from MSI hashes very fast. I have an MSI RX 470 Armor 8GB with Samsung ram and it is stock with an unmodded bios. I have only overclocked the memory to 2000MHz (8000) using MSI Afterburner. I am using Claymore Dual Miner on Windows 10 with 16.300.2311.0 driver and getting about 23.5 MH/s on ETH and 280 MH/s on PASC. My -dcri is set to 12. That was the sweet spot for my card.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, deletable blockchain & bank account system [PASA] on: April 25, 2017, 10:55:38 AM
PASA market was closed due to timeout issues as one user deposited 46000 accounts. By the way 46000 operations were successfully carried out in block 86293. I think fist blockchain to handle such huge number of operations in a single block.

i told it before and i'm telling it again – PASA market should accept btc payments for pasc accounts – it's the easiest way for new adopters to get an account.

also it would be pefrect to implement accounts trading inside the pasc wallet.

just imho.
PASA market does not accept any other crypto. Only pascal coins are received. If you want to buy PASA you have to buy Pascal coins in exchange first thank you. POLONIEX exchange recommendations. link --->> poloniex.com

Because everyone is entitled to get the best cryptocurrency. I think the PASC (pascal coin)/PASA (pascal account) is not comparable to any cryptocurrency. Pascal coin is special, like real money in your own bank account. The account number, the wallet is very quickly synchronized unlike the other takes weeks, the community is very fast growing. I predict the pascal coin will be the main crypto.

Poloniex has an issue with sending Pascal coins. I sent PASC to another member here over six days ago and the coins have not been sent. Poloniex shows a tx hash and the coins were deducted from my account, but the coins were not sent and the tx hash does not show in the block explorer. I have been waiting over six days for Poloniex to respond to my service request. I suggest people use another exchange to send coins for PASA, not Poloniex as there is a chance you will lose your coins.

I do not understand your problem with poloniex. But I am always fluent when withdrawing to my wallet. Is there other than you having problem with poloniex during withdrawal?

Yes some other members here had the same issue and the same lack of response from Poloniex. Almost been a full week now. Coins not sent and no response from customer support.

Can you someone tell me ethermine.org how long it takes after mining 20 coins until you get the PASA award? I have been paid out over 20 coins but I have not been given a PASA yet.

definitely u can't mine pasc at ethermine.org

at this time there is only one pool – https://pasc.nanopool.org

and u get 1 pasa for every mined 20 pasc.

Yes, my mistake. I meant Nano Pool PASC pool. Sorry. I'm dual mining on Clay.ore so had a brain fart.

Have your public address and mailaddress deposited in settings?
The same email address must also be the start.bat from the miner!

Yes. I emailed them and got a reply. Said after earning 20 coins, have to get one more payment and PASA sent at that time.

weird, payment with USD, bank in Singapore, its UOB Bank and they just gave account number without the name of the account number (Beneficiary Name - Recipient). Their skype has been hacked!

I wouldn't send money to that. Definitely sounds like a scam.

- EthMan: added ReasonID parameter to .bat file which is executed when some rig has problems, check "sample.bat" for details.

Did anyone find this sample.bat?
Anyone know its syntax?

It is called start.bat in the Claymore folder but doesn't include the environment variables, but those only need to be set once and Windows remembers them, if you are using Windows.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.2 (Windows/Linux) on: April 24, 2017, 03:08:03 PM

I don't recommend keeping 16.6, as I know, it has a fan controller bug, which either stops the fans or spins them at 100% randomly (the first one is worse).

I stopped worrying about drivers versions some time ago. My 6x480 rigs run Win 10 x64 with the 16.5 driver provided by the Microsoft drivers update routine.

It works flawlessly, with Claymore, sg-miner, gateless gate... no fan bug whatsoever.

I've got some MSI cards and the win10 drivers seemed to have chewed up the (just a guess) 32-bit bus running claymore, the cards still run under ubuntu in pure 64bit mode. These cards even have samsung memory and MSI still fucked the dog.

I've got a powercolor and a sapphire running claymore on win10 without any issues and really f'n fast too.

I am running an MSI RX 470 Armor 8GB on Windows 10 1703 and it is running very well.

I've tested v9.2 about 12 hours. My accepted hashrate on pool (ETH mining only, asm 1) dropped about 15 MHs Sad So I switched back to v9.0 and voila, I'm back on my hashrate...

What about 9.1? Is 9.0 better hashrate than 9.1 also?

v9.0 seems to be the best for me at the moment.

Are you solo mining or dual mining? I was using 9.0 and switched to 9.1. I got slightly more speed on ETH with 9.1 but think PASC suffered a bit? Maybe I should go back to 9.0 to see what results I get?

This is a general question to all those people dual mining out there - do you really think it is worth it? Don't you think that you are "frying" your cards and that in the long term any gains you make will be lost when you have to replace GPUs and maybe PSUs and other components which are being run way past the limits they were tested for in "gaming" usage scenarios?

When I dual mine I see a LOT more power consumption (obviously) and a lot more heat (obviously) but I see or feel heat in places and on components that I find a lot more worrisome that when I single mine.

I have heard of people who dual mine with new GPUs and then sell them after only a month or two at a 10-20% discount to unsuspecting buyers on Ebay or similar, then they buy new GPUs. That way they avoid the inevitable consequences of overloading GPUs and pass the damage on the someone else. I think that is a shitty thing to do so I just stick to single mining and keep my cards for a long time.

Am I exagerating the effect of dual mining?

I am dual mining and my RX 470 stock bios (memory clocked to 2000 with MSI Afterburner) stays in high 60s, low 70s on temp and board drawing 100 watts or less. PSU is being used at less than 1/3 it's rated capacity. I don't see any heat issues with my card. Maybe dual mining and over stressing the card with modded bios can be an issue?

Hi  guys
I found Pascal Coin deletable blockchain feature quite interesting.
However, there is a drastic need to make it easier to get accounts.
I downloaded the wallet and created a private key, but I need an account

There should be a website that allows for people to get access to that

Can anyone point me to this?
Otherwise, here is my public key that I'd like to have assigned to an account if one has an extra one.

you can buy PASA here

Not right now. The dev shut down the market due to some bugs.

"added assembler kernels for ETH+SIA"  what this does ?

it increase speed of mining dual coin. Not ETH just the dual mining coin
so the -asm 2 is only for dual mining ? thanks.

yes dor dual ming you will need mode 0 and asm 2 for using assembler kernels. If you dont want to use assembler kernel then use asm 0
i didnt understood what means assembler kernels (noob on mining). whats the difference if i just enables dual mining without -asm 2 ?

As per my imagination without asm 2 , its like old mining without boost. with asm 2 it uses newer kernel which is faster

Accordingly to the readme file it states that asm 2 is used for ETH-ONLY mode. ?

I am confused by this as well. I am dual mining ETH and PASC and I use -asm 1. What difference does using 2 do? I see in the OP it mentions if the -dcri flag does not work for you and have it set to 1 to use -asm 2 option. I might be misunderstanding the OP?
