TAM coins are really cheap now. I'd better hurry and buy more before it's too late. Still can't wait to play the game...it will be epic!

This guy also posted the same thing again in another thread. Take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199415.5280 I wouldn't trust investing in such services. I've made my mistakes investing in cloudminr so I'm not falling for such schemes again.

CAUTION: Do remember, while you mine with your PC/Lappy, you're burning them.
Do you mean that mining with CPU will reduce my laptop's lifespan? With CPU usage at 65% when mining, it makes my laptop run at very hot temperature and it might worry that this will reduce its life....I don't know My personal exp. from CPU mining: When i start to mine with my PC, my PC's CPU usage will reach 100% no effect will sown on that time. But applications will slow down. But if i close mining my CPU usage will became normal unfortunately my PC starts hanging then i've to restart my C to became normal. I'm not sure this happens only because of CPU mining. My PC's config.: Toshiba stellite. 320GB HDD intel i3 core 4GB RAM I think CPU usage could be reduced by killing unnecessary programs and leaving only the CPU miner running. I've noticed a drop of 10% in my CPU when I killed explorer.exe and disabled antivirus software. I also own a Toshiba Satellite. It came with Windows 8 and has 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5 3210M CPU and 750GB HDD But I think I could get more performance if I make the switch to Linux. I've noticed that Lubuntu runs much faster than Windows. I think you didn't used all your CPU's core. Because, mining will takes/eats all your CPU's usage (If you used all cores, usually 4 cores) Exactly. I've also reduced the number of threads (cores) used by the miner in order to lower CPU usage and decrease temperature. I'm worried that if I use all the available cores my laptop will fry up

Why would the cryptocurrency have to be mined?
By mining a crypto-currency you're making the network more secure and resistant to attacks. A crypto would need to be mined in order to mint new coins, otherwise I think there wouldn't exist any (my opinion). what about pure pos? Could POS be more secure than POW? I don't know because I'm still studying it but if it is then it would be ideal. I was thinking of a hydrid crypto (with POW and POS combined)

I've got interested in CPU mining when I looked into a few alt coins that seemed to be easily minable by the CPU. Since then, I decided to mine XMG (Coin Magi) with my CPU to give it a try. Everything works fine as it should with the CPU mining at an average of 15 kh/s with 3 threads running. As of now, I own a laptop that has an Intel Core i5-3210M (quad core) with 2.50GHz clock speed. However, most of the time my laptop gets very hot when running the miner at 3 threads. My question is: What type of CPU would be the most adequate to mine such coins? I just want to know of a CPU that's powerful to mine but affordable to buy because I'm planning to build a Desktop PC soon Thanks. You just need a psu, motherboard/cpu and fan and a bootable stick. Mining CPU is not profitable, particularly, unless you mine a coin with a low hash rate that later 'goes to the moon'. Processor is a compromise between cost and hash power. Most newer ones have hardware crypto enhancements (look for AES). The 8 core amd piledrivers are not too dusty for mining and they are a lot cheaper than Intel. Great! Thanks for the advice. I will buy an 8-core AMD processor for my custom rig. They are much cheaper than Intel. I wonder if it's just as reliable as Intel's CPUs.....

With less waiting time for confirmation and less or no transaction fee.
Precisely. Zero transaction fees might be a great feature for the perfect crypto.

Hi again, Thanks for your advice. I am currently struggling to get the Ethercoin - Wallet synchronised. I am running the Ethercoin wallet version v1.1.0.1-g32a928e on Win7 64bit I have been trying to synchronise for over 24 hours and still ~54879 blocks remaining I have aborted and restarted a number of times to see if that helps but it seems not. having started at ~67,000 that still leaves a week or so to go at the current rate It did not take more than a few hours to synchronise the wallet previously on another machine. Can you provide any advice as to how to speed up the synchronisation? Is there a fast way to download the whole blockchain eg: BitTorrent ? Many thanks If synchronization is stuck you will need to delete some files in order to start synchronizing again. Go to the appdata directory, then browse to the Ethercoin folder. Make sure to delete all files except the wallet.dat (very important!) After this, try opening the Ethercoin wallet software again and see if it starts synchronizing. Usually, synchronization time take a few hours so please be patient until wallet is fully synchronized. Most of the time, I get 1 to 3 active connections to the Ethercoin network. P.S. If you want this to be faster, I might upload block data and share it to you

Remember that you should not mine coin with a laptop as they are compactly fitted to minimize the space. And they are not having strong fans to cool the hardware. So please create a special dedicated rig and if not so then do not mine for 24/7. Just saving your laptop.
Thanks for the advice. Would there be any guide for building your own custom rig? I would then get started in building one. Just looking for affordable parts but decent enough for mining.

DOGE has good distribution, but there are a LOT of coins in circulation and inflation is high
It will be interesting to see how things play out. Other coins could learn from DOGE marketing
Yes, i loveed the DOGE coin since when it was launched for the first time, the wallet the design the coin it self. I think DOGE is pretty good for tipping. Maybe that makes DOGE a pretty useful crypto. The devs should have limited DOGE supply to 25 million in order to reduce inflation and thus price would be higher. At this pace, looks like it's pretty far for DOGE to become worth at least $1

In the future Bitcoin will become mainstream. People from around the world would use Bitcoin as a normal currency (like fiat) and there would be wide acceptance from businesses and companies like: Walmart, Sears, Target....You name it!

You should buy Moneros when you still can. I have that feeling that the price will increase to $0.10 per Monero. Monero to the moon! that ain't right. I think you mean $1.10 per monero. hopefully I'll be able to buy more before that happens. I mean that maybe in the next 4-5 days or a week, Monero's price will reach the $0.10 mark. For the following months, it might increase to $1 but that case is unpredictable. Price volatility is either good and bad. You could earn profits or you could lose everything you have invested.

Monero's price has been increasing over the days. It increased from $0.50 to almost $0.60 in 4-5 days. Take a look at the charts below: You should buy Moneros when you still can. I have that feeling that the price will increase to $0.10 per Monero. Monero to the moon!

I know this is probably the wrong place to ask.. BUT:
Does anyone know of / can recommend anywhere I can *rent* hashpower from long-term but have them mining to MY pool ?
Well, you could try Beta Rigs. You can rent hashrate from a variety of miners. They will mine directly to your pool. All you have to do is give them the pool details (user, pass, etc) Link: www.betarigs.com
