Did I miss anything? Any updates on the game? Can't wait to start playing it. In the meantime, I'm going to keep growing my stack of TAM coins.  Roll Eyes
12642  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: July 21, 2015, 07:20:27 PM
In the future Bitcoin will become mainstream. People from around the world would use Bitcoin as a normal currency (like fiat) and there would be wide acceptance from businesses  and companies like: Walmart, Sears, Target....You name it!  Wink
12643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 21, 2015, 07:14:34 PM
You should buy Moneros when you still can. I have that feeling that the price will increase to $0.10 per Monero. Monero to the moon!  Cool

that ain't right. I think you mean $1.10 per monero.
hopefully I'll be able to buy more before that happens.

I mean that maybe in the next 4-5 days or a week, Monero's price will reach the $0.10 mark. For the following months, it might increase to $1 but that case is unpredictable. Price volatility is either good and bad. You could earn profits or you could lose everything you have invested.  Cheesy

Monero's price has been increasing over the days. It increased from $0.50 to almost $0.60 in 4-5 days. Take a look at the charts below:

I know this is probably the wrong place to ask.. BUT:

Does anyone know of / can recommend anywhere I can *rent* hashpower from long-term but have them mining to MY pool ?

Well, you could try Beta Rigs. You can rent hashrate from a variety of miners. They will mine directly to your pool. All you have to do is give them the pool details (user, pass, etc) Link: www.betarigs.com
12646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How a perfect crypto-currency would be on: July 21, 2015, 05:51:45 PM
I don't see cpu mining being an optimal solution. The perfect crypto currency should be secure, instant and free to transfer along with decentralized transfers in my oppinion.

I would disagree in that cpu mining only would make the mining aspect available to the most people. I do know the limitations in that bot nets, renting out VPS farms, etc. cause imbalance of coin distribution, but for many parts of the world even having a cpu that can mine can be a struggle. Tying mining to GPUS or ASIC is keeping it in the hands of the (relatively) rich.

Certainly. A perfect crypto-currency would be such that could be easily mined by a cpu. This would allow anybody to mine with their PC and earn the same rewards like mining with ASICs or GPUs.

12648  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 21, 2015, 02:47:08 PM
When I first started into Bitcoin I was getting close to 1 BTC. However, I spent some BTC into cloud mining which most of them turned scam and now I'm hoping to get recover my investments. Sad

As of now, I don't have 1 BTC
12649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethercoin | Redeemable 1:1 for ethers | Official Thread on: July 21, 2015, 02:34:13 PM
Hello,

I have some ETC in an Ethercoin - Wallet (windows version).

I created a backup wallet and stored it offline

How do I restore the backup wallet (on different PC from the one on which I originally created the wallet)

Thanks for your advice

The restore the backup wallet, you should move the wallet.dat file to your appdata directory.

The quickest way to get there is to press the Win key + R to open the run window and then write %appdata% which takes you directly to that folder. Then, copy & paste (or move) your wallet.dat file into the Ethercoin directory.

Make sure that your ETC wallet is not open in order to do this. Hope this helps  Wink
12650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WILL die. What is the best alternative? on: July 21, 2015, 02:02:58 PM
Bitcoin is most popular crypto in the world. No any other crypto can be so popular in nearest time - let say 5 - 10 years Grin

I totally agree with you. Bitcoin is here to stay for long term and hopefully achieve mainstream adoption in the near future. However, I do think that most alt coins would die with the exception of Litecoin and Monero, because of lack of development (just my opinion)  Smiley
12651  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginners guide to trading BTC? on: July 21, 2015, 01:31:40 PM
pls, man looks at the volume of those buy orders, is ridiculous, it's like sellers are buyng their coins on purpose to start a panic buy, i have seen this pattern many time on the gold old scam day in the altcoin section, like with pandacoin, leaf, USDE, noblecoin ecc...

Yep, investing in new altcoins is never a good idea even if it looks good at first it can turn out scam if it had pre-mine. OP is asking for trading guides not investing guides anyways, if he wants to trade he should only do it with ''stable'' altcoins or bitcoins.

Yes that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to stick out with the stable coins. Bitcoins and Litecoins are a keeper for me.  Wink

Still cheap price buy before the game is out.

I agree with you. The price is really cheap so it's better to buy lots of them because the price might go up when the game releases. As of now, I have 133 TAM but I'm planning to buy more.  Cool

P.S. I love to collect cryptos  Grin

And if the price of the near future will not go up?

Well, I'm going to exchange them for BTC and hold them. That is if the price doesn't go downward. Anyways, I never invest what I can't afford to lose. If I get lucky I'll become rich, if not I'll become poor, lol  Grin

What would the ideal algorithm for a perfect crypto? I was thinking maybe scrypt or X11 but I don't know. Just looking for an efficient one.  Roll Eyes
12656  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: July 21, 2015, 12:55:31 PM
It's been around 2 weeks since cloudminr.io has been shutdown. They said it would take around 2-3 weeks until they make a new site, so I'm waiting until it's been week number 3.

But as it seems, I have the feeling that they would never come back so that means I'll never get my ROI back.  Sad

If you'd read the first few pages of this thread, you'd know that the whole "cloudmining" was a scam.... sorry to take away your hope...

Yeah. I thought of that. I became too greedy thinking that my profits would skyrocket with such a service. Anyways, I've learned a valuable lesson. The next time I invest in a cloud mining site, I'll make sure that such service provides pictures of mining farm and mining address/proof of mining. Thanks for your reply  Wink
12657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 21, 2015, 12:51:17 PM
I've bought today so far around 7500 XMR and I am still nibbling.  Cheesy

Wow. That's a lot of Monero you got there. Shocked I have the feeling you might become rich when Monero's price goes up. As for me, I'm growing my stack of Monero and as of now I own 25 XMR.  Roll Eyes

I'm hoping so. If not, at least I'll earn some profit.  Grin

Thanks for your replies! I think I'm going to buy more coins and hold them until the price goes up (hopefully) I know there are a lot a alt coins as well as there are a lot of scamcoins, but I'm going to carefully study the charts and hope to get lucky. I might as well lose profit if the coin's price goes down. Anyways, I'm going to try this and see how this works.

i inclined to think that the best strategy for altcoin, is to buy those that are really cheap, because you can buy a greater amount without spending too much, which will make you investments less risky

or you can follow a group that pump altcoin, like fair pump

Thanks for the video! I'll be watching it soon.  Wink
