321  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is mining rocketscience? Or can you register accounts mining sites and profit? on: July 26, 2016, 12:26:56 PM
Is mining rocketscience? Or can you register accounts mining sites and profit?

I have come across several mining sites such as genesis-mining.com. Their smallest package is USD 19. So if I sign up for that, can I start making money then? Or are these mining sites trap for newbies? Can someone help with this please?

You are referring to cloudmining sites. Those sites claim they have mining hardware (so-called ASIC's), and they "rent" out a piece of this hardware to you... You are more or less sharing hardware between all users of this site, dividing the costs of the hardware, power, hosting,... You get a share of the profits that corresponds to your investment.

This being said, 99% of those cloudmining sites are scams. The ones that  aren't scams are really hard to ROI (return on investment).

Think about it this way: would those owners of those cloudmining companies sell cloudmining "shares" if it would make them less money than mining on their own hardware? Offcourse not. The 1% honest cloudmining companies sell their complete risk to you in return for a part of the profits.

My advice: stay away from cloudmining untill you've completely educated yourself and can calculate the risk and profits, and offcourse untill you can differentiate between a scam and a real cloudmining company.
322  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where to Spend Faucet Earnings on: July 26, 2016, 09:16:47 AM
you can buy nearly everything you can think of using bitcoin... A lot of vendors started accepting BTC as a payment method, you can use a prepayed creditcard funded with BTC, you can buy coupons and vouchers for a lot of businesses using BTC,...

But, like alamin99 already said, it's allmost impossible to get enough satoshi's by visiting faucets, you'll spend days claiming satoshi's and you wont make enough to cover basic miner fees or CC fees...
323  Economy / Exchanges / Re: poloniex vs ccex on: July 22, 2016, 06:13:09 AM
I personally like poloniex better, maybe it's because it's the first exchange i joined after getting started in the crypto world, maybe it's because they're pretty easy to figure out or have a big trading volume... Don't get me wrong, c-cex looks solid to, neither of them have ever scammed me, my personal favorite is poloniex tough Smiley
324  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar search engine on: July 06, 2016, 08:24:02 AM
In your experience, how easy is it to find goods and services on OpenBazaar? I find, if I find something worth it, it only stays on their for a few hours and the next time you search for it, it is gone for hours. I know that is how it was designed and how it was supposed to work, but I think for the average user, new to decentralized market places, this might be a bit confusing.

Most of them are used to centralized services that are always online and available. I guess it has it's pro's and con's and we just have to deal with the way it works, but it's still a challenge for newbies. ^hmmmmm^

personally, i use a VPS and run openbazaard.py in deamon mode, this way it stays up pretty well... From time to time, it seems to crash, but overall, i think my page is online about 80% of the time.
That being said: you're correct, most stores go on- and offline rather often, which is a pain in the *ss. Also, the search function within openbazaar kinda blows, i use bazaarbay to find interesting stuff, but like you said: most of the time, the shops are offline.

I hope these problems will go away with later releases, remember, it's a very immature project at the moment Smiley
325  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar search engine on: July 06, 2016, 06:54:11 AM
couldn't find myself neither... It looks pretty neat, but at the moment, i'm sticking to http://bazaarbay.org/
326  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Questions from a noob - Help! on: July 04, 2016, 06:41:38 AM
Blockchain.info's wallet can be accessed via tor by their following onion address mentioned here: https://blockchain.info/wallet/anonymity
But this is generally not a good idea since you will be dealing with your own money and an exit node can easily intercept your username/wallet identifier.

According to the anonymity, you can use Bitmixer.io if you want our coins to be untraceable from a particular address. The more frequently you mix the coins, more difficult it becomes to trace it.
So Blockchain.info allows users to use TOR or VPN with no problem while other online wallets (XAPO for example) strictly forbid any sort of masking your IP address or using a proxy IP address?
Have you read Blockchain's ToS and they are really fine with it?

I've quickly browsed https://blockchain.info/Resources/TermsofServicePolicy.pdf but couldn't find the word VPN nor TOR in their TOS.
However, i do believe that when a company actually runs a hidden service and publishes their onion-url on their tld (https://blockchain.info/wallet/anonymity) i don't think they'll be able to say they don't allow TOR.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best provider for gambling domain name? on: July 01, 2016, 01:35:59 PM
I've always been happy with namesilo... You can pay with BTC, free privacy protection, some other free addons... I even have a coupon laying around somewhere in case you're interested Wink
328  Economy / Digital goods / Re: how much is my account worth? on: July 01, 2016, 10:56:01 AM
I've seen hero account changing hands for 0.15-0.25BTC, i doubt you'll fetch 0.06BTC for yours.
Back in the days, when i was giving out loans, i guess the collateral value of your account would have been 0.02-0.03.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core Help Please! on: June 29, 2016, 07:13:24 AM
Thanks! How can I transfer them elsewhere?

Can you tell us the address you transferred the coins to?
If it's just one address, you could export your private key from core and import it in electrum... But like helloeverybody said: it's a hassle... If you need the BTC urgent, it's an option, if you can wait, i'd just let it sync...

331  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help| bitcoins stuck in wallet (3P) on: June 24, 2016, 11:32:05 AM
thank you very much, i will try to contact them again but i think its a scam... they haven't answered my previous messages.

The odds of this being a scam are pretty high i'm afraid... In my experience, at least 90% of the darknet hidden services are a scam in some form, and the ones that aren't are usually reviewed and published on a lot of forums, blogs, reddit,...
I hope you didn't lose to many coins, next time remember: if you're not (the only one) in controll of your private keys, you're not (the only one) in controll of your coins! There are perfectly good tutorials on how to use electrum over tor, i suggest you use  those ones.
332  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help| bitcoins stuck in wallet (3P) on: June 24, 2016, 10:59:14 AM
I am currently using a TOR wallet service (Shadow Wallet) that runs its transactions through the blockchain.onion site.
i cannot get the money out of there because every time i try to make a transaction i recieve a message: " Quota Exceeded ( Reg Limit Count)".
i will, in the future switch to a wallet that allows me to use bc.info ofc.
but how do i get my money out of there?

Contact their support, if they're honest, they might help you, if it's a scam, you might have lost your coins.
I would advise you to stay away from web wallets (even blockchain.info, coinbase, xapo,...). If you insist in using the onion router, i'd either go for bitcoin core on a pc on which you route all your traffic over tor (using iptables), or using electrum with a tor server.
333  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: How to get 0.001BTC very fast? on: June 22, 2016, 12:15:15 PM
buy it? Altough i'm not sure if anybody would be willing to sell 70 cents worth of BTC. If you're willing to buy a bit more, you can try localbitcoins...
Allmost all other options will take a huge amount of time, especially compared to the 70 cents you want to make.
334  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS]adult domains +traffic, start your own adult empire instant! [TRIAL] [NSFW] on: June 22, 2016, 11:50:52 AM
give me your best website with the best traffic.

I'm at work at the moment, so I cannot look at the stats, but if you're interested I can go trough cloudflare to see which one has the most traffic this evening, but i'd prefer to sell the all at once, even if i get less BTC that way.
335  Economy / Exchanges / Re: coin2pal.info??? on: June 20, 2016, 06:01:42 AM
Anybody use this service: https://coin2pal.info/???
If yes, could you tell something about that

The searchfunction of the forum might help you:
https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=016660200577587308545%3Aesf40ml9aag&ie=UTF-8&q=coin2pal.info&sa=Google+search#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=coin2pal.info&gsc.page=1

Seems like a service that has been around since 2013, if there aren't open scam reports, it migh be legit???
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My transaction got confirmed or not ? on: June 17, 2016, 08:02:04 AM
for us to find out if transaction is confirm or not..
all you have to do is just do the instruction properly and once you comply it well
you will receive the confirmation in your email account.
then if you havent receive it yet meaning its not yet confirm or you did not follow the instruction properly.
get it? Wink Smiley

Not really, i've read the thread 3 times, but i cannot understand what you try to say here...
The OP is apparently using a wallet that gives an indication when receiving input from a pay2ScriptHash transaction. Seems plausable, it's also normal the OP asked a question about it, since these kinds of transactions tend to be confusion for newer members.

I have no idear why you're starting to talk about confirmations in email accounts... Are you the person sending to the OP, and are you explaining your workflow, or are you the owner of the wallet service (a service that apparently sends an email when a user receives inputs?).  I'm just a bit confused about your text, that's all
337  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitmixer io scammed me of 5BTC on: June 16, 2016, 09:31:36 AM
Network has gone to shit a few days ago, you don't need to assume scam, there are problems all around because of congestion.

Contact support, maybe they will help.

i guess its common these days. nothing to worry then.
i still haven't get my few btcs from someone I've transact with  its almost 4 hours now. i've trade with him 4 times already and this happen just today.

It's common if the sender (bitmixer in this case) didn't added enough fee to make the miner chose his transaction over other unconfirmed transactions. I'm pretty sure this is not a scam attempt, but an honest mistake by bitmixer.

I wouldn't say it's nothing to worry about tough, the receiver will not be able to securily spend the coins (create outputs with unconfirmed inputs is not a good thing to do) untill the transaction is confirmed, and if the transaction is eventually forgotten by the network (dropped by the nodes) the sender can (mistakingly) spend the inputs he used to create the forgotten transaction again, so the receiver will never receive his coins...

In the OP's case: it's very well possible bitmixer didn't add enough fees, so if the transaction gets dropped by everyone, bitmixer can use the inputs again, and the OP will be very unlucky. He can either rebroadcast the transaction untill it confirms, or he can contact bixmixer's staff, asking them to help him. Since he has his letter of guarantee, it'll be very easy to prove his point, and bitmixer can do a RBF or double spend the inputs, creating a new transaction with these inputs, but with a bigger fee...
338  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS]adult domains +traffic, start your own adult empire instant! [TRIAL] [NSFW] on: June 15, 2016, 09:29:05 AM
I've opened a couple threads in the past, generating little to no interest, so this time, i'll give anybody a great deal to take over my complete adult enterprise.

The thing is: i've changed jobs a while ago, and i have almost no time to work on my adult [XXX] sites. At the moment, most of the sites are still live and get a fair amount of visitors, but due to a wordpress bug script kiddies were able to inject spam posts into the database. Also, some sites went down recently, and i have no time to fix the issues, so in a little while the traffic and google rankings will die. Since i worked long and hard to build these sites, it hurts me to see them this way, so i'd rather sell everything to somebody that can spend some time and energy into revitalising them.

These domains are real and developed, they generate revenue, have traffic, are aged,... BUT the seller will need a couple weeks to clean everything up, patch wordpress,... before he/she can start to expand these domains.

Included in the package are:
  • all listed domains
  • free push to a namesilo account
  • the scripts (if asked), any hardcoded passwords will be removed before sending them over
  • the datase (if asked)

Not included in the package:
  • the escrow's fee (i accept a trusted escrow, but the buyer will have to pay the fee)
  • setting up the site on your server (i can do this, but it'll cost a bit extra)
  • push to a different registrar (a namesilo account is free, so you sign up for one, i'll push the domain to you, and you can do whatever you like with it afterwards, including pushing it to your own registrar of choice)

NEW: i'm willing to do a cheap trial run... If you'd like to see how much traffic and which traffic sources, i'd be willing to change the DNS records for 24 hours, as long as you run a copy of my website on your server (an exact copy). This way you can monitor everything yourself. I'd charge 0.01BTC/domain/day for wordpress sites and 0.025BTC/domain/day for all others, but i'll discount 50% of the amount payed for trials when you decide to purchase the domains.

The domain list [NSFW] [XXX] => last month's cloudflare statistics added in case cloudflare was enabled
  • 33dporn.com => 5,514 requests
  • 3d-find.com => 269,734 requests
  • 3dpor.com => 3,618 requests
  • 3dpornportal.com => 252,320 requests
  • 3dtoplist.com => 2,055 requests
  • 3dxxxsearch.com => ? requests
  • buywithbtc.biz => 17,828 requests
  • gfsnude.com => ? requests

  • stereoheels.com => ? requests
  • stereolesbo.com => ? requests
  • stereolingerie.com => ? requests
  • stereoteen.com => ? requests
  • xxxstereo.com => ? requests

I'm entertaining all offers... I really don't have time to maintain these. I did make a fair amount of money from them in the past, and i truly believe somebody that has spare time to maintain everything can make a nice chunk of profit running them.

You can ask any questions here in this thread, or send me a PM... I can show some cloudflare stats, but i don't really have the time to install some real stats software on all these domains. If i had to do that, i might aswell fix all the problems and keep them running myself Wink . I'll check my messages 2-3 times/week, so don't worry if i don't reply right away (i'm AFK rather often, but i allways keep my pc running, so i might show as being online while in reality i'm away for 2-3 days)
339  Economy / Lending / Re: need loan of .25btc have collateral of $221 on: June 14, 2016, 08:06:08 AM
Need a loan for 5 days of $175 or .25btc , i have an account which earns 13$ per day for the next 17 days so i can use this as my collateral in total $221,

Will be willing to pay back $200 after 5 days if someone can help, i will pass over all details of the account i hold and show any proof of withdrawals and such if need be before we go ahead.

Thanks

You're using the account you're selling in this thread as collateral while you're selling it, or do you have 2 accounts?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1511345.msg15202178#msg15202178

Seems like a sale disguised as a loan... That being said, i don't know if anybody would be interested in using a HYIP account as collateral, the risk would be rather high for the one giving out the loan. Just my opinion as a former lender.
