I'm currently experimenting with basic mining (sha-256 and scrypt in the near future)... i already know i'm never going to make ROI, but i don't really care, as long as i can buy some cheap stuff to play with (even tough i'm willing to spend some BTC for some cheap mining equipment, the fact that i'll never ROI does make me price consience)... I have 2 U2's, my 2 Gridseeds are currently in shipping, and i would like to buy 1 or 2 GekkoScience Compac 8-16 GH/s's when they're available @ bitshopper. I'm running an old HP thin client to run the mining software, which seems to provide enough power for the 2 antminer U2's. But when i buy 2 extra sticks, i'm afraid my current setup won't do anymore... After browsing for a powed usb hub, i found this one: http://www.dx.com/p/7-port-usb-2-0-hub-w-individual-switch-ac-power-adapter-black-380660#.Vb58l2CGqgocan anybody shed some light wether or not this one would be sufficient? The geccoscience sticks would use 6W per usb port, the antminers use 2W, and the gridseeds have their own power supply... the current output of the hub is 500mA (usb 2.0)...

I am not the owner of coincreator.net but I have made coins thereI Can Make the coin for you at coincreator.net (saves you the hassles of having to learn and do it all yourself) After your coin is created: 1- I will send you an email with a link to the webpage that has the downloads of your coin. 2- You can then download your coin 3- You start to mine your coin (if you want, I can show you how to mine your coin to get you started) Payment of 0.05 BTC in advance + the cost at coincreator.net website to create your coin. PM me if you want me to do the work for you, thanks Not to undermine your businessmodel, but my wife knows nothing about bitcoin, and is a teacher (not an IT specialist). She was able to generate a coin with coincreator.net pretty easily.... I just wonder if anybody is going to pay you 0.05 (almost $15) to fill in a simple form and wait a little while... Just some friendly advice: lower your price if you want any customers (and even then, i'm very curious if you'll have any business at all)

Great product...
I'm installing this one on a VPS for a small project i want to start... I only have one little question: does anybody have tought about a pruning query for the database (i'm using mysql)?
At the moment, I estimate about 10% of the blockchain is parsed and put into my database, but the database is already around 10 Gigabyte. So i think the database will be 100+ Gb + 20 Gb for the blockchain of my bitcoind. A small vps (like the one i'm currently using), is stressed by the amount of space bitcoind + abe uses..
I would like to create a small script that prunes all addresses that no longer contain any satoshi's... I know it's usefull for historical purposes to know all transactions, but for most practical usages, emptied out account have little or no use... I would like to do this, but i cannot find the scheme that's used for abe.
Can somebody help me out?

Thank you for your trust, we will not disappoint you. Your contract has been activated. I just noticed it... it was activated after 1 confirmation, so that's certainly OK

I declare community take over! Why not, wallet working good and staking nicely My wallet works good. Staking nicely. Is it to soon to mention a community takeover on this coin? What would it take for the dev to post something, anything? Been almost a month now My wallet doesn't even synchronise anymore... I feel bad for investing 0.05 BTC in this one It's never to soon to suggest a community takeover I'm afraid we do need a good dev for a community takeover... I have some basic coding skills in C, but not merely enough to maintain an altcoin...

Good to know that I'am fine from that part then . how do I export private keys from the wallet on BTC Core don't see any option for that , and I suppose I should export for each adress because I have multiple adresses .I may use Escrow or something to store half and backup half I don't want to take risk .
Again, if i'm not mistaking, exporting your keys can be done via the debug (commandline/console). I use electrum myself, so i don't know the exact terminology of bitcoin core I would suggest downloading the QT wallet of a stable altcoin, mining or buying a couple satoshi's worth of altcoin, and trying/experimenting with that altcoin wallet... That way, you can only lose a couple of satoshi's

I'm not really 100% sure about the technology (i'm learning myself), but if i'm not mistaking, your wallet.dat holds your keys, not your coins... So, afaik, you can safely take your wallet.dat, even when you're reindexing, reinstall windows, import the file, and you're ready to go You can easily try it out on the pc of a trusted family member if you're unsure... Just install bitcoin core, import your wallet.dat, and i'm pretty sure your coins will appear once it's all synced (it might take a while)
