Right now everybody is holding on to their equipment hoping that BTC goes to $500-$1000.
0.23BTC would of been a good price when BTC was $200, not right now.
you're allowed to have your opinion, and i respect this... However, i have the right to disagree I see a lot of sales threads, both global and regional... People are selling their S3's, S4, S5's, sp20's... There are even some open S7 threads... Next to that, you can still buy geccoscience sticks, gridseeds and U3's. Personally, i don't believe bitcoin will go to $500-$1000 in the near future, so i will not adapt my bid to a future that might not even happen. With the halving coming up and the diff on the rise, i will stick to my 0.23 BTC bid. I think it's fair for a second hand S3, given that i have no idear about its age or history, and the fact that it's not really power efficient. This bid will only be valid if my requirements are met (i do not think they are to strict, as adaseb presumed... I just don't like taking risks with an untrusted member). If the OP is interested and/or wants to negotiate, he can PM me... I don't think i'll keep arguing in this thread tough, i don't think either one of us will be able to convince the other one.

Good luck in getting anybody to meet your strict demands.
Right now the sellers are in control and they make the demands. There is huge demand for miners and no supply at the moment. You best bet is just to buy a brand new S7.
I'm just curious: which of my demans are strict? The op comes to a bitcoin forum with a brand new account, do you think it's strict if i ask to pay in bitcoin, and refuse to send my money before i have any proof the OP will send a working product (in other words, ask for escrow and proof of mining)? I don't know if it's a sellers market. The S7 hit the market, i personally believe the difficulty will rise, the blocks will halve and my power bill will rise, so i think 0.23 BTC is a fair bid (i think it'll take months to ROI). It's up to the OP wether or not he'll accept it.

Well... i'll make you a proposal: I'll set you up with a subdomain (not a domain, it'll be a subdomain from one of my tld's), hosting, and the installation of the free faucetbox script: https://faucetinabox.com/At this moment, i'll open a tab for you... The hosting costs $2/month and the installation of a script costs $30/hour... As soon as you generate some income, you'll pay your tab. If your tab isn't payed in 3 months, i'll just erase everything from my server. Once you've made some money with this faucet, you can buy your own domain, and host it with me... I'll not spend money on you before you've payed your tab (i will not fund your faucet or buy you a tld unless you pay me for it) Since you'll pay me after the job is done, this job will have very low priority, so i cannot guarantee a speedy delivery!

If it was multibit HD, and you wrote down your seed, it's a matter of reinstalling and restoring (altough i think so, i've only restored electrum wallets so far)

Since i didn't get any reply (yet), i've made a new post so this gets bumped to the top of the OP's list I know 120€ is reasonable, but with the current expected difficulty and the uncertainty from the block halving, i cannot bid this much. If i do not count the electricity, it'll take about 4 months to ROI at the current difficulty. I don't even want to make a calculation with electricity costs, diff rise and halving included... I make a 0.23 BTC bid under the following terms: - payment in bitcoin - for the 0.23 BTC, i want: A working S3 (in good condition) + a working PSU (suitable for powering this S3) + shipping within the EU - we use a trusted escrow. I'm willing to work with: devthedev, monbux, tomatocage, blazed, ognasty, master-p, Mitchełł or sebastianju. I'd prefer one that doesn't charge a fee (i'll make sure to leave a tip tough). - i get to install the miner, and verify it's running for 2-3 days without error before i release the escrow. If the miner doesn't work, or displays errors, either the OP pays the postal fee to return the miner, or it doesn't get returned... Also, the OP agrees to release the funds back to me in case of HW failure during the test period. PM me if you are interested in the bid, or want to negotiate EDIT: this bid is only valid untill i change my mind

Hi,
I'm more or less interested in this offer if - the price is right - it's acquired legally - it's an upgrade from my current dropbox account (not a new one)
Can you elaborate?
|
|
|
I will make a bid IF: - you accept BTC (don't have funds in my PP at the moment) - we use a trusted escrow (i'll pay the fees) - you can give me a proof of mining I do understand that you're selling a working S3, without technical problems + a PSU that's in good shape and can be used for the S3 + the shipping from portugal to another EU country?

Waiting for my payment since Nov 17th. Would appreciate an update please.
I think we have to be careful before working with unknown people and especially users with red negative feedbacks. I hope OP will pay you and others for your efforts and work, but i hope you take care a while better in the future OP has paid me 4-5 times earlier so I know he is honest Only thing that I'm worried is that he hasn't been online since long time and last message from him was on 17th Nov where he said he's arranging BTC funds. Hope to have a reply from him soon. Is this service still Available ? As you can see erikalui and me are still waiting for payment. Erikalui since 17th of november, me since the 12th... I would be very carefull accepting this job before there is a confirmation that the OP still pays.

thats awesome thx so much!
There is no fixed answer as this changes over time. If you use the current version of electrum you can enable dynamic fees. Tools -> Preferences -> Transactions -> check Dynamic fees. I have been using electrum for a while now, and i didn't know this existed... I haven't searched for the answer, so i might be asking a stupid question, but i suppose the dynamic fee is calculated by using blocktrail or cointape's API? Also, do you have an idear if it's possible to set the dynamic fee to low or medium priority?

I always use this one when i take an account as collateral: http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php?token=14486247462601706298It gives a little bit better estimate... I usually offer between 30 and 50% of the estimated price as a loan. Offcourse, there are a lot of other factors that can reduce the estimated amount, and lately the market is in a downwards spiral, so accounts are worth less than their estimated value...

As promised, some pics (took with my mobile phone, so they're rather dark): Click on the image to see the larger image The back of the thin client, with an antminer U2 and a geccoscience miner plugged in: My old gridseed, currently not plugged in since i used the PSU for something else (i'll need to find a new PS before i can start using it again): The front of the Thin client... An antminer U2 and an usbstick with lubuntu (the system boots from this USB since the flash disk was only a couple Gb, and i needed more space for the OS)

Fair warning: the following 3 days, 3 loans are due... I'm not in the habit of holding on to collateral (it'll be sold 24hrs after defaulting)
