done ,check my PM  Wink

I can pubicly confirm i now have mocacinno's account as collateral, i have changed his password to lock his account.

0.025BTC has been sent to 1NPxAaikDhifNff5wsf21ovn9ttJZtMgJ6
https://blockchain.info/tx/90919540752e7a75722ad4f52040d8e1ef419e255220186dd1e7974de411fb9e

once he has payed back the loan, with compound intrest of 0.5%/day, and a minimum of 0.002, i will change his password back to the one he sent me.

Loan repayment schedule:
http://altcoinhosting.com/loantools/intrest.php?day=17&month=7&year=2015&amount=0.025&collateral=0.03&submit=calculate

The loan will default on the 28th of august 2015, since the principal + intrest would be more than the collateral by then
1222  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans from 0.01 to 0.07 BTC , 0.5% daily intrest, collateral, escrow OK on: July 17, 2015, 09:03:34 AM
just a word, when people "trust" you enough to let you hold the account rather than an escrow service, they tend to be account farmers who sell their account through the loan, and would not like to bother with an escrow service as that consumes time and may incur fees. just something to watch out for. always be sure to take a signed message from them stating that the account will be handed to you in the case of a default.

not saying that all borrowers are account farmers, but always keep that in the back of your head.

Thanks for the warning Smiley

mocacinno did sign one for me, he used an address i found in an old post, i verified it in electrum, and it should be OK:

Also, his account's password wasn't changed recently, which i also take as a good sign  Grin

I do hope this is sufficient, since it's my first time giving out loans
1223  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans from 0.01 to 0.07 BTC , 0.5% daily intrest, collateral, escrow OK on: July 17, 2015, 08:53:48 AM
its ok deal ,What should I do now?

Either send your account user/pass to me, or to a trusted escrow.

If you want to use an escrow (which is 100% fine by me), you have more certainty that i will not steal your account (since i don't have the user/pass => the escrow holds the user/pass)
  • A good list of trusted escrows can being found here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0
  • Find somebody on the list that is online, and maybe offers his/her service for free.
  • Send them a PM and ask them if they are willing to hold your account in escrow for a loan i'm giving you, possibly include a link to this thread.
  • If they are fine with being an escrow, send them your user/pass, ask them to lock your account (change your password) and let them contact me with the message that they now hold your account
  • i'll send you the BTC as soon as the escrow PM's me
  • once you repay your loan + intrest, i contact the escrow, and he gives you your account back
  • Grin

if you trust me enough to give me your account details (you have no reason to trust me!!!)
  • send me your account's user/pass
  • i will lock your account (change the password) + send you the BTC
  • once you pay your loan + intrest back, i will unlock your account
  • Grin

so if I do not provide the password now, then the loan can not I receive?
must wait for the next day?

Since you didn't reply to my last post, i take it the deal is not going trough?
1225  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 0.02BTC by pp on: July 17, 2015, 06:47:36 AM
Maybe I turn the question around,
I hv got 6.57 in my PP account atm,
and I want to turn those to BTC,
I don't know is 0.02 is a suitable price,
so please leave me a msg or PM for your offer.

Actually, maybe not want to trade with those currency exchange,
as this is just a small trancastion, don't want to cost much on handling fees,
and don't want to wait for 48 hours also

You see, the main problem is trust... Paypal can easily be reversed, and most of the new users that ask to exchange paypal to BTC are just on these forum to do the trade and afterwards chargeback the paypal funds... That way they have BTC AND their paypal funds...

This is why everybody is pointing you to virwox: they're a company, and seem to have a really good scam detection system or something, because they still offer pp -> LLD -> BTC At the moment.

It's well possible that you're an honest member, and just want some BTC, but nobody is going to trust you easily... There used to be a couple of members that did these kinds of trades, but there weren't a lot...

Good luck!
1226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can u get bitcoins? for free on: July 17, 2015, 06:08:02 AM
- buy BTC (NOT FREE)
- earn BTC by doing some work (there were a couple captcha entry jobs that payed $8 for 10.000 captchas if i remember correct)
- earn BTC by monetizing your skills (pretty hard, unless you have really unique skills)
- earn BTC by playing games (for example: flappy birds pays 600-ish satoshi's for every game you win, 200 times a day)
- use faucets: don't expect to make more than $0.5/hour
- join a signature campaign on this forum

Also, nearly 10% of the money goes into fees.
10% into fees for such a small transaction and a newbie? That is dammned cheap!

I've used them two times already, and if my memory serves me correct, it was indeed more than 10% for small transactions as a new user... The more BTC you exchange, and the more transactions you've conducted on virwox, the lower the fees will be...
1228  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Hardware or Scam on: July 17, 2015, 05:59:21 AM
yes, but paypal has many points in the Company Conditions to say no to pay mony back

You do have to be carefull... You can only claim your money back for 180 days (if i remember correctly).
Since it's a pre-order, it might be their trick to keep you hanging for 180 days (with promises, lies, changes,...), untill they chargeback period from paypal is over...

Or it might be a trick to get a free 180-day loan.

Or it might be a fishing expedition for usernames/adresses/...
1229  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Hardware or Scam on: July 17, 2015, 05:40:00 AM
Looks a bit fishy... On the positive side: they accept paypal, and they're selling a physical product.
In theory, you should be able to claim your money back if they screw you over???
1230  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans from 0.01 to 0.07 BTC , 0.5% daily intrest, collateral, escrow OK on: July 16, 2015, 05:15:47 PM

Hi, if you put up your account as collateral, either i, or a trusted escrow from this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 must have complete controll of your account (ie: change the password). I'm afraid you'll have to make a temporary account and use that one as long as you dont repay your loan.

If you pay back the loan withing the given timeframe, either i or the escrow will change the password back, and give it back to you. If you do not pay back your loan, i can recuperate my financial loss by selling your account on the market... this is only possible if i or the escrow am holding your account.

So, basically, i only give you the loan once i'm convinced that either i, or a trusted escrow, is in complete controll of the account...

If i'm convinced me or the escrow have controll of your account, the BTC will be sent within a couple of hours (it's 19:13 here, so i'm soon going to call it a day. If i don't have the collateral by then, you'll have to wait untill 7:30 tomorrow morning). But basically: no collateral, no loan Wink

Account mocacinno Verified  Smiley

As soon as i receive a message from a trusted escrow that he/she has your account locked as collateral, or when i receive your account user/pass via PM, i'll send BTC 0.025  to 1NPxAaikDhifNff5wsf21ovn9ttJZtMgJ6

Repayment as soon as you see fit, with a maximum due date of 21st of august 2015 @ 0.5% daily compound intrest, following this table http://altcoinhosting.com/loantools/intrest.php?day=16&month=7&year=2015&amount=0.025&collateral=0.03&submit=calculate
1232  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans from 0.01 to 0.07 BTC , 0.5% daily intrest, collateral, escrow OK on: July 16, 2015, 03:11:24 PM
I've tried several lenders here, but none of that helps,
whether here I can get a loan from you

Sure i can give you a loan...
You want to give your account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=405464 as collateral?

You need to send your user/pass either to me, or to a trusted escrow (list). The escrow has to confirm that he changed your pass, so your account is locked for the duration of the loan. If you send your details to me, i'll lock your account for the duration of the loan. Escrow fees have to be payed by you...

A second this is, i need a signed message, showing your account hasn't been hacked. Please, sign a message like this "i am user mocacinno, giving this account as collateral to altcoinhosting on 17/07/2015" with a BTC address that is at least a couple months old. For example, the one used in this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=818725.msg9941418#msg9941418

I value your address BTC 0.03, so i can give you a loan for 0.025... Rates can be found here: http://altcoinhosting.com/loantools/intrest.php?day=16&month=7&year=2015&amount=0.025&collateral=0.03&submit=calculate
If you need more (i do loans up to and including BTC0.07), i would need some more collateral. I take accounts, stable ALTcoins, torrent accounts that have sellable invites,... anything that can be sold quickly if you default

If you agree to these terms, and want a 0.025 loan, you can initiate the deal by signing a message, posting it on this thread, and signing over controll of your account to me or an escrow (i need the escrows confirmation). Clearly indicate the BTC address you want the funds to be sent to, preferably the same address used to sign the message...

EDIT: I'm locking this thread and move the open loans to a new one
I will continue giving out loans, but decided to change most of the rules, and reserve the first 2-3 posts in order to make the thread cleaner....

I'm trying to make some revenue with the BTC that are sitting in my wallet, so i decided to offer small loans...

  • At the moment: BTC 0.09 available for loans <= check this first before asking for a loan, read the last posts to discover if there are other people asking for loans that are not already granted/denied to calculate if there is still some funds available
  • At the moment: taking loans between 0.01 and 0.1 BTC <= check this first before asking for a loan
  • Offering 0.5% intrest daily (compound), calculate the amounts you'll have to pay back HERE. Because of the transfer fee, the minimum intrest is 0.002
  • ONLY loans with collateral, raw collateral estimator HERE. I always give a LOW estimate to the value of your collateral: i'm giving out loans, i'm not a pawnshop. Collateral should be an incentive for you to pay back the loan, not an easy way to "sell" unwanted accounts or coins (Post from VOD about collateral, in case you have no idear what collateral is)
  • Escrow allowed, AND also strongly encouraged... I ONLY allow escrow services from THIS thread
  • it's your own choice wether or not you use escrow, as a general rule, you'll have to pay the escrow fee!!!
  • Let it be noted i'm selling your collateral as soon as you default your loan. If i get more from your collateral than estimated in this thread, i'm keeping the difference for my troubles
  • I reserve the right to deny any loan, for any reason (valid or invalid) any estimation i give for your collateral is take-it-or-leave-it.
  • NO PM, everything should be discussed in THIS thread
  • only pay back address is 1d92FUSg7wUafUi77R6yjUpZVhTMKpzuQ .Payments to other addresses might be fraudulent, and will be ignored!!!
  • i have a family and sleep from time to time... I'm online most business days between 7:00 and 16:00 GMT+1, no flaming or panicking if i'm not online during the weekend or less than 48 hours during the week
  • No negative trust will be given to loan defaulters that provided sufficient collateral. People that gave "fraudulent" collateral will be given negative trust (for example: accounts that got banned or got negative trust because of the previous owner's actions, but were offered as "clean" collateral)
  • early repayment is allowed, it saves on the compound intrest  Wink. Late repayment is not allowed, but can be negotiated in this thread as long as your collateral still covers the principal + compound interest
  • from now on, an md5 hash of the repayment table will be available upon request (generated using http://hash.online-convert.com/md5-generator)... I will generate the md5 hash, and ask a thirth party positive trust senior or hero member to quote the hash... This way, i cannot change the payment table without giving notice!

How to apply? an example:
Your name: John Doe
Amount: 0.05BTC
Duration: 6 days (loan taken on the 16th of june, payback on the 22th of june)
Payback: 0.052BTC
Collateral: 2 full member account, green trust, no bans, signed message available
Escrow: if approved, i will send the account details AND the escrow fee of 0.01BTC to Ognasty, asking him to review the validity of the account and change the passwords, i'll PM you 2 signed messages that prove the accounts belong to me, and are put up as escrow for a loan from you
If approved, send funds to : 1d92FUSg7wUafUi77R6yjUpZVhTMKpzuQ

DEFAULTED LOANS WITH sufficient COLLATERAL
Note to people on the default trust: please dont -ve these accounts, even tough they defaulted: their collateral covered their loan, so as far as i'm concerned: the deal is/was OK!
--accounts removed in order to avoid getting negative trust on the collateral--

DEFAULTED LOANS WITHOUT sufficient COLLATERAL

Thank you for your input. Nice to see the PRO's

I hear you about the CON's, we are in the process of registering a company name, seting up support phone.

For now it’s just BETA testing our system, and when we go public more company info will be available and our mining address and such.

As soon as you have a legal company, that can be looked up, and is reflected in your whois records + pictures of your rigs + mining address => i'm pretty sure i'll invest a couple satoshi's, at least in case your ROI is OK (only joined today, so i have no idear what the daily earning will be)

I just signed up (zottejos),

My first impressions:

PRO's:
- signing up was really easy, everything was easy to find
- altough your layout is sober, i personally find this very clean and easy to navigate. In my personal opinion, it does look professional enough
- both the fee and mininal withdrawal amount are OK

CON's:
- no contact info, NO COMPANY INFO
- no visual proof of mining (pictures of your farm), no endorsment of the company that sold you your miners
- whois protected domain "WHOISGUARD PROTECTED"
- no addresses to show proof of mining

So basically, technically and visually, i would say your site is OK... But i would never ever invest again in a company that doesn't actually proof they're actually mining, has no endorsment of a vendor, no legal company info,...

If you can prove to the community you're an actual company, and you do some actual mining, i think you have a good thing going  Grin

I think it's possible to fool newbies with such fake BTC. Making a background infrastructure (network) is easy, you need a few nodes on cloud servers and a few miners with some old Block Erupters (you can get some for peanuts). The scammer will need some social engineering skill as well ("Are you using the right client mate? Oh I see, that's the old stuff, use this one and everything gonna be all right. You see? Here we go, your BTC is there now...") but I think it's doable on a small scale.

That's exacly what i was trying to say  Grin. I guess the fact that i'm not a native speaker must have made my post a bit difficult to read...
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stakeminers - is this trustable? on: July 15, 2015, 01:23:05 PM
There was a topic about them here on bitcointalk...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=989670.280

A couple guys shouted it was a scam, personally i think they're legit...

Do you have any proof that this company is legit? have you been dealing with them?

No, i haven't been dealing with them. I have seen no convincing proof they're legit, but neither have i seen any convincing proof they're a scam... The thing is that there might be strong indications a company is legit, or a scam, but the only way you ever know a company is a scam, is when there is rock-solid proof, or you've been scammed by them...

I've read a couple times people assume it's a scam, and a couple people that actually made a nice intrest with them. My gut feeling after reading up on them, is that i would personally give them the benefit of the doubt if i had some BTC i wanted to invest for a longer period (the early withdrawal fee seems really high)...

You should make up your own mind, wether or not you give them the benefit of the doubt... There are a lot of topics that discuss them, and the announcment topic i gave you in a previous post... I doubt you'll find irresputable proof they're a scam, nor will you find rock-solid proof they're 100% legit... As almost always in the crypto world, it's a bit of an educated gamle  Cheesy
1239  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: $1 of bitcoins for doing a small survey, 3 minutes to complete. on: July 15, 2015, 12:59:47 PM
Exhausted - bla, bla... Scammers!

you are aware that exhausted means the survey is done and they're going to payout as soon as they checked the entries?

I have completed this survey but until now still waiting for the payment. If any one got please confirm on that.

Confirmed: i just checked my wallet, and the balance isn't there... But still, there is hope, it hasn't been closed that long  Wink
