i'm a happy customer of http://www.earthvpn.com

A lot of guys are also selling VPN accts on this forum, but beware of scammers!
Thanks, this site has been blocked in my country Cry, can't open it.

You can always ask a friend on the forum to create you an account... They have servers in a couple dozen of country's... I'm not affiliated with them, i just like their price and service  Wink

I don't think it ever will... I truely believe BTC will become a mainstream payment method, but i don't think it'll ever replace gold... People love shiny things  Grin

wow good information Smiley
i use RDP for any new coin

RDP is a good sollution, but you should try out the free version of sandboxie... I think it's less of a hassle than running a full RDP. Just open a completely isolated sandbox, drag the exe in the sandbox => completely isolated process...

You can make 1 sandbox for all your altcoin wallets, or use the same sandbox for all... If, after a while, you should trust the exe, you can "recover" the config files to your harddisk and run the exe out of the sandbox...

Anybody else has the problem that the app is still crashing all the time, or the clock just stops?

I tried to connect over my country's 3G network (altough it's really expensive), and walked around for 8 hours with my phone in my pocket while the miner was running. The app crashed at least 5 times during the day, and in the end, the timer indicated it only mined for about 40 minutes...  Huh

Hey altcoinhosting,

What phone do you have?

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

Hi, i have a doogee voyager dg310, it's a standard quad core MTK android 4.4.2. 3G hasn't full coverage, so my phone falls back to 2G once in a while, but it's constantly connected to the internet...

Since my 3G network is pretty expensive, i cannot try this every day, but i did try it again yesterday: i enabled 3G, started mangocoinz (the counter was counting backwards from 1:59:59), went for a one hour walk. When i came back home after approx 1 hour, i unlocked my phone => mangocoinz was still running with 1:52:00 on the counter!!! It only counted 8 minutes of my 1 hour walk  Sad
1208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: July 23, 2015, 06:07:14 AM
it may be possible to hit a block(with a very low hash) now that the diff isn't rising too much, but don't expect the same thing if the price was climbing without rest

so hironically solo mining can have a point when bitcoin remain stable, still it's better to mine altcoin with the same hash, mre profit is awaiting you

I'm in the process of trying that out (mining altcoin with my U2's), i'll give a detailed analysis in a couple of weeks Smiley

EDIT: my collateral estimator now pulls all decent volume coin prices from poloniex in realtime.
Check how much your ALTcoins are worth as collateral here: http://altcoinhosting.com/loantools/collateral.php

Note: this is an estimator, some ALT's that have low trade volume on poloniex, but high volume on other exchanges might also do as collateral; new coins with a good trade volume but high risk might not be suited as collateral (even tough there show up in the estimator).

That's just a false detect given by the old source used by the dev, still doesn't changes the fact that coin has major bugs

You think I should redo the whole thing from 0.11.0 or nah? I mean, I have time to waste :L

I like to mine new ALT's, given that they are bug and virus-free + have a good dev that actually wants to add pools, block explorers, exchanges,... So, if you have free time, and know you can stay dedicated to your project: why not Wink

It would be even better if you dedicated a lot more time, and came up with new and innovative development for your coin...

Just a tip: i use miningrigrentals, point my miner towards them, and put the POM pool as preferred pool.
If it goes down, it switches to a failover pool immediately, but keeps on checking the POM pool every 10 minutes. As soon as the POM pool is back up, it switches back  Grin

1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: July 22, 2015, 06:24:24 AM
No. Don't mine with it. Mining bitcoin needs a heavy duty and high-end built PC. Mining in old computer is just a waste of time, you won't get anything and you will just waste your money in paying electricity bill or your computer might wear off.

Mine BTC requires ASICs at the moment, and most of them can be plugged to the computer using USB or other means.

An old computer can be used in the mining process, but you can't use the old computer to mine

Even then, i just bought 2 old U2's, running @ 2.2 Ghs (i get about 4 Ghs continuously). They made me 1600 satoshi's in 24 hours... freebitco.in is currently paying around 700 satoshi's an hour to fill in one capcha, so i would have made more BTC just filling in 3 captha's.

I knew this from the start, and only bought them to learn about mining, but still, even with prior knowledge i would never ROI, the payout is below my expectation...

The only way to make money mining (AFAIK), is buying really efficient ASIC's (antminer S5 or something) in bulk, and getting a really good electricity rate...

I can confirm i got 0.027 back, so this corresponds to the loan repayment of mocaccino

I'm going to unlock mocaccino's account right now (i'll put the user/pass back into place)

Can Mocaccino also verify everything went OK?

What is it about this forum that attracts religious crazies?

Don't really know, but you must admit it's kinda funny to read their chain of logic... If my friend exists, then god must exist...
Ofcourse, it's less funny IRL when jehova's witnesses are knocking on your door, using the same logic to convince you there is a magical superbeing...
