That is a great reward amount. Although it is high, it should be sustainable as many people will give up before reaching the minimum withdraw. I hope the best for your faucet!
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using an eBay auction as a sort of trust factor. on: December 17, 2015, 03:23:39 PM
You can see the person trust on eBay, and that tells you something. But if you are paying outside of eBay, they cannot protect your purchase, and you will not be able to chargeback.

1363  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Don't Deposit on Cryptsy ! You wont be able to withdraw ! on: December 17, 2015, 03:14:08 PM
I never had any problems. Although I only did some very low amount transfers (not even reached the 100k satoshi values) and do not use it often.

Thanks for sharing all those experiences, will be even more careful from now on.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell anonymously on: December 17, 2015, 03:10:18 PM
Cryptopia exchange has an store in which users can sell stuff for BTC and other cryptos. As far as I know, you only need to have a nick registered (i.e, you can be anonymous). Do not know about the protection they offer, though.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the global currency of Earth on: December 17, 2015, 03:07:16 PM
Just because its more expensive than USD, doesn't mean its better.

BTC is barely used anywhere at all. Which makes it alot less 'valuable' in my eyes.

I think this is the point.

The fact that it has more value than dollar does not mean much really. It is all in the names. If we call the 1000 dollar note "one grand", we could say "Grands are better than BTC because they have more value".

However, I hope for Bitcoin to be great too!
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The myth about Chargebacks on: December 17, 2015, 03:00:40 PM
Chargeback sucks, and as a merchant you are somewhat helpless when that happens.

I once received a 5$ donation for some advice given in a forum by paypal. Then the person (who had sent the 5$ freely without me asking for anything) repented. Without asking me first, he did a chargeback and I had no means to justify that was a donation or to demonstrate that I had helped that person.

My reputation got stained in paypal without even asking for money, and that made me think... What if I was really selling something? How could I have defended myself?

I felt it was not safe for merchants at all.

But, if we cannot get coins from cryptopia right now... Is there another way to get some?

I agree innovation has more challenges, and also agree all coins are about the same. I can also wait, but... I would like to see some coins in my wallet already if it is possible/there is another way to get them.

Thanks for all your efforts!

Its not going to be much longer. Perhaps another day or 2. The area giving us the most issues was our unique tx system that is mostly finished. So hang in there, and youll be able to withdraw soon.

Vegas

Ok, I will wait then. No problem.  Grin

i had never got the coins from cryptopia to the wallets here on the pc. everyone said to me to wait. i waited and then they said wait more. now they keep saying wait. this sound bad

1370  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Why blocking proxies is not a good idea. on: December 16, 2015, 10:03:31 PM
I totally agree with OP. I use a proxy out of necessity, as I have to work online reviewing search engines as if I was in another country. To have to turn the proxy down to do faucets is not an option (as I do faucets while I am working between page loads, and turning it on and off takes some time).

I am sure many users are just as me.

As for me, I will wait. Take your time vegas, important thing is that it ends up working good after all!

1372  Economy / Speculation / How much will it go down? on: December 16, 2015, 07:26:53 PM
After the raise some weeks ago, reaching 500$ and more, it then went down around 300$. Will it go down again before the next big rebound? How low will it go if so? What are your guesses?
1373  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it? on: December 16, 2015, 07:09:47 PM
Fiat was tied to gold in the past. Coins were made from gold and people scrapped them to get an advantage before paying with them (that is the origin of the marks in the edge of coins, which were made to prevent that). When people got accostumed to exchanging fiat and somewhat "trusted" it, the gold dependance could be removed.

I guess it can happen to Bitcoin in the same vein. Once many merchants accept it and people use it to pay, it will be more "independent" from fiat (although it technically is already)
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARN Crypto NOW with Storj DriveShare on: December 16, 2015, 07:04:16 PM
A sample of how much you would get for GB would be appreciated and make people consider it. It is easy to setup? I remember of a similar service that I quitted because I could not manage to setup it properly.
1375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $450 - $500 means many of us are now even or ahead on: December 16, 2015, 02:44:29 PM
As for me, I am ahead. I learnt about Bitcoin about a year ago or so. Was around 311 at that time, so now it is almost the higher Bitcoin I have seen (apart from the last raise some weeks ago). That is pretty good!

I guess it also will get higher this year, so the subject is true for me.
1376  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Coin888 - Win $500 in free Bitcoins every hour! A fun different game on: December 16, 2015, 02:41:46 PM
The faucet looks good and is very fast to load with good payment. That is something I really appreciate on faucets.

However the withdraw minimum and the fee is a tad high. That is to say something, not really complaining, as I understand it is more sustainable that way. The only thing you need to do is to withdraw higher amounts to compensate the fee.

Keep on with the good work!
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : *NEW WALLET* v1.73 . FIRST COIN EVER, THAT CANNOT BE DUMPED! on: December 16, 2015, 02:38:35 PM
Any news why fly on cryptopia is down again?

Also this : FIRST COIN EVER, THAT CANNOT BE DUMPED!

Is that meant to be a joke on cryptopia?  That looks pretty stupid with the way things are going with this coin the last month. It is true though, no one can dump with an exchange which is constantly in maintenance Roll Eyes

Lets hope it is worked out soon. Last night I asked in cryptopia chat and a mod told me they were working on fixing it.

Also CapnBDL did a great job in explaining me about the saving address and how to setup the wallet.

Hope wallet get fixed during the day, so I can withdraw some and test my wallet!
1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : *NEW WALLET* v1.73 . FIRST COIN EVER, THAT CANNOT BE DUMPED! on: December 15, 2015, 09:37:44 PM
Hi everybody!

I got introduced to FLY today in cryptopia forum. I downloaded and synced the wallet and bought about 0.35 fly (did not have much BTC at the moment) in order to test it. Problem is, when I got to cryptopia balances to withdraw to my local wallet, I could not do it as cryptopia wallet was in maintenance. Hope it is not for long, as I really want to see those fly in my wallet already.

Is there any other way to fund my wallet with some fly?
1379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going Up to 500? on: December 15, 2015, 05:03:05 PM
Seems we are at the brink of getting there. Now it is raising fast again, but I think it will not reach 500 now, will go down a little bit and then up again to get to that mark.

So hold on to your coins!
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: December 15, 2015, 02:40:56 PM
It is funny to read that, because I am about to have 1.5 BTC (I am about 0.09 short right now). I have resoluted not to do anything until I get 1.5 BTC, then invest whatever amount I get above that in either cloud mining or staking coins. But my 1.5 BTC I would keep safe.

So my suggestion is just that, as the situation is so similar, and that is what I would do.
