1442  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitcoinAdvertisers.com is a SCAM? on: June 04, 2012, 05:39:23 AM
Great! I'm so glad that progress is being made to resolve this.
1443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two Newbies walk into the Do Not Use PayPal Saloon... on: June 04, 2012, 04:26:35 AM
Yeah, all but one post had absolutely zero value.
1444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mt.gox bitcoin withdraw to a different wallet not showing up 50hours later on: June 04, 2012, 04:18:48 AM
I'm pretty sure that Silk Road uses MtGox in order to hedge the exchange rate. That would explain the problem.

Why they are stupid enough to give out MtGox addresses publicly is another matter...
1445  Economy / Lending / Re: Newbie GIVING out Loans Must See on: June 04, 2012, 04:09:25 AM
The only problem is that people will come there and slander me on no basis other then the fact that I am new. So I am trying to start somewhere.

yeah understand what you mean, if i was like you registered 3 days ago, and started an islamic bitcoin bank, i would have been called a scammer too and i would have never been able to start IBB , since i am anonymous

i came in at good time (last year), not many businesses around, registered on glbse and most were supportive

right now, you're better of creating a new username , participate in the forum (increase posts) , buy items with BTC from sellers in forum, increase your posts and then maybe you can ask loan later without someone calling you scammer

Are multiple accounts allowed? That's usually an insta-ban on most forums.
Absolutely, unless you are a confirmed scammer (you'd know because you would have the scammer tag, and unless the evidence is EXTREMELY overwhelming, we would have also contacted you for your side of the story) or are currently banned on your main account. In fact, the moderation team isn't even allowed to disclose sockpuppet accounts (again, unless a confirmed scam took place).

That being said, you'd be better off just sticking with this account. You won't gain rep any faster with a new account, since I truly don't believe that you've lost any rep here.
1446  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mt.gox bitcoin withdraw to a different wallet not showing up 50hours later on: June 04, 2012, 12:45:35 AM
Was the transfer to another MtGox account? Unless you check "Open Transaction", those are just sent to the recipient internally on MtGox.

He did say that his "other wallet" still didn't have the coins in it. MtGox account or not, the Bitcoins didn't get there.
The question is, what is the other wallet? The other wallet could be a service that uses MtGox as their wallet backend.

1448  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking 1.05 BTC Loan for 3 days, will pay back 1.1 on: June 03, 2012, 09:51:52 PM
It's totally useless to take out small loans to gain rep. You'll gain much more rep if you sell stuff.

I don't know if you understood this, but this is not for rep, i've gotten my share of rep from selling stuff if you cared to look at my signature. I need this for a personal purchase and therefore used the rep thing to gather potential lenders.
I see. I misunderstood.

Sure, I could do that for you at $5.60/BTC. I'll email you.

Edit: Email sent.
1453  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: does posting 4 times make you all knowing on: June 03, 2012, 06:13:49 PM
It's to stop spambots from auto-reg'ing/link dumping.
That's not the only reason we have this system. Part of it is that we want you to read and research stuff on your own before you post in the main forum. On other forums, if you were to not read anything and a post a thread that has been discussed thousands of times, they would lock the thread and ban you. We don't do that here, because we believe in personal responsibly and free-speech. Because of this interesting dynamic between the light-moderation and the difficulty of making a new account that can post, this forum mostly moderates itself. In the cases where it doesn't, people will at least regret getting their account banned, because they have to put a few hours into a new account to bypass the ban (note: that is a bannable offense*, but I'll admit that we don't catch everyone who does it).

*It's only bannable if you bypass a ban. You are otherwise allowed as many accounts as you want as long as you don't scam people or get banned.
1454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox Collapsing (and taking bitcoin down with them?) on: June 03, 2012, 05:51:08 PM

Are BTC withdrawals delayed?  If the smartest course of action is to take all your Gox money and run with BTC while you can, because you know you can get your hands on it in the shortest possible time, we could see the price of Bitcoin take an artificially induced climb.

My BTC withdrawals aren't delayed, Mt. Gox says that I need to enter a valid amount even when I am requesting 1/10th of my account balance.

Is there some sort of minimum withdrawal?
If you request less than 1 BTC, make sure that there is a 0 before the decimal. MtGox is picky about that.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please forgive my ignorance, but WTF ? on: June 03, 2012, 05:45:59 PM
The reason why they post the IP is because it is extremely valuable when combined with statistical analysis to find out who sent a transaction. For a single transaction, it's worthless. For 40 transactions, not so much. The problem is finding enough transactions to make the IP useful. While we might never know the exact IP of a transaction, analyzing the IP of who relayed a transaction could tip off what country a transaction came from.
1456  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long until I can post outside the newbie area? on: June 03, 2012, 03:41:51 AM
You can post there, now.

Don't worry, we read them all.

1459  Economy / Goods / Re: [BTC] $1,183.20 Amazon Balance [BTC] [MINERS CAN BUY EQP!] on: June 02, 2012, 04:38:37 AM
Great! I've backed-up the address and subscribed to this thread. I highly doubt that there will be any problems, but if there are, I'll resolve them as fairly as I always have.
1460  Economy / Goods / Re: [BTC] $1,183.20 Amazon Balance [BTC] [MINERS CAN BUY EQP!] on: June 02, 2012, 04:30:01 AM
He actually said no to you respectfully in public and in turn you indirectly called him a scammer...

Anyways, if the deal I entered into with Liberty Payout is a valid deal; The advertised amazon balance is spoken for pending a 24-48 hour waiting period. If you agree to this publically, I also request that you send first and I will pay when I receive my goods

I'm willing to use an OMM, but I won't be sending first unless you are staff.
My escrow offer that I offered earlier is still available. I don't charge a fee, and I'm online pretty often.
