441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Strength of Bitcoin on: August 28, 2019, 08:27:47 PM
Not sure what your idea of strength is when you are quoting that article.
But right now btc dominance is over 68%. I was surprised that in early july ethereum had about a 28% dominance. Which was strange and bitcoin dominance back then fell to below 40% for the first time in a long time.
442  Economy / Goods / Re: 🔥 Weird bitcoin art propaganda goods for supporting my animation project on: August 28, 2019, 08:14:52 PM
See this is the kind of artist and animator the Bitcoin world needs. Not guys like Tim. by the way @OKEAH, can you show me some of your old animated projects? I would love to see what you have done in the past. Maybe then I would be more eagerly awaiting the future animated project that you speak of.
443  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance KYC leak hack or not? on: August 28, 2019, 08:08:15 PM
Binance is getting too big for its own good. Now with their margin and lending products they are making themselves even big of a target and on top of that they are not even catering to their most well paying customers. Us Americans. So if you ask me if the KYC leak was a hack or not? I don't know. But I sure as hell would not like to be one of the victims resulting from such a leak.
444  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain take a new order of mining chips on: August 27, 2019, 10:06:55 PM
I think this was being looked at all wrong. Pretty sure this is supposed to be a direct injection into their network hashrate. I followed a few useless links to the same story until I found Bitmains Blog where they disclose their hashrate. I had no idea this existed, but assume with their regulations it must be fairly accurate.

So to me this 600 000 chips means they are trying to add ~183PH to their arsenal, currently ~367PH. I think that's around 3660 S17pro @ 50TH. With 144 chips/miner they could manufacture 4166 complete s17's if the order size is to be believed. Some could be set aside for defects and offspec units, not sure what the failure rate is.

It was also pointed out above that the order is split. Some of the chips are 16nm, meaning S9 variation perfect for their excellent power rates.

Notice how each of these articles is tied to the valuation they are hoping for. Pretty sure this is them bolstering 2 positions. First they want to look strong and heavily invested in themselves the network and the future. They are looking at an IPO after all, and they have an image to repair. Next I think they are trying to grab as many coins as possible for themselves again before the halving. They can get ahead of the Diff jumps if they take an entire order of chips just for themselves. Not hard considering they've sold out for months to come.

Don't forget about BitDeer. They could be adding all these chips to their arsenal only to expand their customer base through Bitdeer.
For months now most of the stock at Bitdeer is empty and support says that they would be restocking very soon.
And I think this could be that 'very soon' which they were talking about.
445  Economy / Gambling / Re: as moneypot is closing who is next decent bankroll provider? on: August 27, 2019, 10:02:34 PM
To answer the question fast and easy what moneypot was.

Moneypot itself was your Pocket where you depo and withdraw your coins.
After your coins were sitting there you can go to a „app“ that was connected to moneypot and play.
You can say you want 0.1 from your 1btc you depo to play with it there but you don’t have to wait for depo it was instand there. After you play a bit on the „App“ and reach 0.2 you can easily send it back to moneypot and have now finally 1.1 btc sitting there.

I will give another example. Lets say there is a bankrollpage you send your coins to play with.
Now you say you want to make a few bets on stake. You go to stake and can say depo coins from my bankrollpage without fee or waitingtime. After you make a few bets but you now want to play on Crypto-Games you send your coins from stake to your bankrollpage without waitingtime and no fee and than send it to crypto-games without fee and any waitingtime. Moneypot was the bankrollpage at this moment.

I hope i give you a small explain what moneypot was

That is a good effort but the way you laid out everything makes it hard to follow.
I too am looking for a proper explanation of what Moneypot was and more importantly, what bankroll in terms of gambling sites is and how are people making money from it.

I always had the capacity to invest in gambling but I fear I would lose more than I'd ever make. And I never found a proper mentor to guide me.
446  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Fully Functional Non Custodian Zero Knowledge Wallet PoC on: August 27, 2019, 09:57:44 PM
Interesting.
Are the paswords acting like a key to derive the private key? What happens if I change or reset the password? Would that not change or affect the private key?
That is of course if it is derived from that in the first place.

You should create a telegram or discord channel where people can talk to you and engage in one to one conversation because I find this really interesting.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are ICOs success factors? on: August 27, 2019, 08:26:09 PM
About 9 out of 10 ICOs that I have seen have failed. Out of 10 ICOs I invested in, all are in red, as in my return on investment is negative.
So when you ask 'What are ICOs success factors?' all I can say is nothing, because I haven't seen many success stories of ICOs where both the project or the company raising the funds and the investors came out happy.
With that said, I did notice some of the successful ICOs and they were all projects that had a technological innovation story to tell. Something new and improved to share with the users. Something that wasn't a copy-paste of another coin.
448  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Lending on: August 27, 2019, 08:16:37 PM
Binance has just opened it's lending platform, currently only for BNB, ETH and USDT.

https://www.binance.com/en/lending

I wonder when they will add BTC to their offerings.  Somehow Binance seems safer than Poloniex to lend on even though I wouldn't trust CZ with my scooter. Am I delusional?

Weren't you the one that was extorting and doxing legendster and berating about how his posts were useless.
Way to go buddy! You have made such a nice post yourself Shocked Shocked

They ask lvl2 verification which is a deal breaker for me.

I am not giving my passport scan to some random Chinese. Especially right after hearing the news about that hacked KYC scans. No no.

Tried to verify myself with my driver's licence back in the day but they didn't like my photo there. Their loss.

My binance account was unverified and when I verified, it was up to a level 1 I think. Just my id card and a simple face pic that they took from the mobile app.
Not sure why you faced the issues. But I do not think losing a customer like me and you would matter much to Binance.

Have any of you tried deleting your Binance account? I am considering deleting mine, not sure if that is possible and if they would delete my KYC information as well.
449  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitstamp :( warnings and rejoinders. on: August 27, 2019, 08:09:49 PM
... someone from Bitstamp to crawl out of their anonymous hole in Slovenia ...

I thought Bitstamp was bought by a well funded Korean firm.  The problems my friend had initially when I started this thread seem to have stemmed from processor switching around that time.  Eventually these were resolved and friend got their wire.  Later when friend's volume exceeded $50k friend got hit with the 'give us impossible data' scam.  And again, it was possible for friend to remove funds in BTC with no problem unlike in your case.

Anyway, maybe I am wrong about the Korean firm.  Worth checking it out, though, since if it is the case it would seem to me to be the natural place to start.  Whether it would be easier or more difficult to make an entities operations difficult in Korea using legal means I do not know.

One thing I have observed is that there seems to be a dedicated and fairly successful effort to get all crypto/fiat exchange operations to be based in the U.S..  The main strategy seems to be to make any external exchanges noncompetitive via various kinds of harassment.  Interfering with their ability to transact in fiat-land primarily.  'Well behaved' exchanges like Coinbase are allowed to operate smoothly.  If I had been consulting on how to deal with the 'crypto problem', this would be one strategy I would recommend (or a phase of the strategy) so it's not surprising to me to see it.

I suspect that ultimately Bitstamp will end up as a property of Western intel (which itself is an appendage of the central banking cartel.)  The Korean money may have been just one stepping stone to make that happen, and they may have already 'flipped' this property.  Who knows?  If so, shutting Bitstamp down would be in the cards.  Might as well collect a ton of actionable intel in the process.

Man! If Bitstamp shut down it would be a major upset in the bitcoin world. I remember back when I first heard of bitcoin it Bitstamp was the only place where you could get it easily.
Coinbase wasnt even in the same discussion or the scene back then.
And as far as the Korean money angle is considered, I don't think funneling that money to and from between US-Korea would be much of a trouble.
It is being done for decades in other sectors already.

And yes, it seems as if US with its insane crypto policies is trying to not only be the leading voice in the sector, it is perhaps trying to be the only voice.
That kind of centralization is bad for Bitcoin and its users.
450  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: google authenticator verwijderd bij blockchain.info on: August 27, 2019, 08:02:58 PM

451  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCDir - Bitcoin Directory on: August 26, 2019, 10:57:18 PM

Thanks for your interest and honest questions.
About maintaining and verifying; i can handle them one by one and i don't think that it will be storm anyway. If the project will turn to a storm (i love this though) i can continue with moderators. I have a internal system to stop spamming like URL, same sentences, email address ban. Also the site is for webmasters which means i will only accept domains, not links; which will penetrate lot of spam entries too.

All in all it's a directory service without auto approval. This is the nr1 spam filter  Cheesy

I'd love for you to have a storm as well but sadly I don't think it'll happen again anytime soon.
But what I think will happen is that there will be a lot of dubious and shady people would list their businesses with you in such a clever way that you would not be able to catch them.
What about a business model? How are you planning to make money? Through ads? Premium listing?
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Weird bitcoin art propaganda on: August 26, 2019, 10:53:47 PM
I love these! Is this vector art? What tools are you using to make this? Also the butt on the coin is a great detail.  Grin
Thanks! most of my paintings are in Corel Draw vector. Part in Photoshop

Is corel draw still relevant for artists?
I am no artist but I had DTP as one of my minor credits in college and that was eons ago. I remember corel being very hard to use. Or maybe it was just my silly ass that was not used to the software. I thought it was some weird unknown software that only colleges and universities used. Surprised to see it mentioned by you here.

Rule 1 of cryptocurrencies: If it says cloud mining, run in the opposite direction.
Idk why so many of you guys are talking about this ECOS when they have all the red flags of being just another ponzi scheme.
Except maybe they have a cute looking female in their cohort. OR MAYBE THAT'S FAKE AS WELL!
454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 26, 2019, 10:45:43 PM
Its good to see that bitcoin is winning over sex in the pool.

Can't believe sex got that many votes. It is overrated. Gets boring pretty quickly imo.

Well all I can say is, if sex is boring, overrated or maybe just a pain in the ass, use more lubrication.
Any questions? .... Ask Bob , he will fill you in.

That filling in part just sounds so wrong  Tongue

I don't get it. Is Bob not a girl? Just kidding.
I don't think Sex is boring at all. Actually, I would go as far as to say maybe @sirazimuth doesn't get enough of it .. or at all. So he's just here hyping the dead snake.

(like most shitcoins)
455  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WAVES Dex + Ethereum Tokens on: August 26, 2019, 10:40:31 PM
Well, I don´t see how this move can be bad for Waves.

And it seems also the Waves team does not have bad feelings about it as it seems Smiley

Waves DEX will receive a new wave of traders and assets that will affect positively on WAVES and other listed tokens. Soon, you will see new trading pairs with ERC-20 tokens.

Anyway it looks like Bancor (BNT) is the 1st token to be added, which took quite a while. Seeing ETH to follow and than gradually more tokens to be added.

Lets see how (fast) that goes and how (if) the WVS-price reacts on it.

Sheesh! talk about a dead cat bouncing!
There is literally no interest in waves anymore. It is like that distant ripoff of the Ethereum blockchain that no one even talks about. And I wonder how they are plugging in these tokens to their internal ecosystem. As far as I know, they manually approve every entry and exit of Bitcoins from their ecosystem. Have they come up with some kind of automated solution to accept the ETH tokens into their internal exchange and wallet ecosystem?

Umm yeah, I can attest to this Zica..

I remember having a token on their platform that I received from a project's ICO. Once I cashed it out I learned about the whole thing. Basically they match a 1:1 representation of Bitcoin within their network. This must be a chore for them and rightly so bottlenecks the withdrawal process of BTC from their ecosystem.

And no it is not automated, which makes it all the more painful as you are left to your own wits to sit and wonder if this is the straw that breaks the camel's back, if they THIS is the moment that Waves platform turns out to be a scam project and they run with your money. All baseless fear stuff that you mind conjures up you know.

IN anycae, I'm interested to know if waves would actually allow their own tokens to come into the Ethereum blockchain - if that happens, then they'll surely clog up the ETH channels once again and overload the Ethereum blockchain like Cryptokitties did.

That is a valid concern I'd say. Although I am not sure I have heard of any such plans to bring the waves tokens on Ethereum blockchain. That would also beat the purpose of having a separate platform or ecosystem or whatever Waves is. Despite all the criticism Waves receives, it has still maintained its price above $1 - which isn't bad for an Ethereym rip off. Although I would personally never invest in waves or any of its tokens. Even if it was given for free.

Hi there, I have a very experienced developer who can match all your needs regarding your offer. But he takes alot in BTC(not CHEAP). If you are interested I can connect you with him. Right now he is working in IBM Switzerland as IT Specialist.

Also senator_dmr

You can't receive a messages there.
User 'senator_dmr' has not chosen to allow messages from newbies. You should post in their relevant thread to remind them to enable this setting.

Given your reputation, I don't think anyone should allow any messages from you. Who knows if you and your IBM developer friend would decide to just take OP's money and run?
Besides, if you have such a friend, why did you not ask for a no collateral loan from him?

Surely being a friend and a well-paid developer from IBM Switzerland, he could fund your request in a zippy!

458  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which US bank is the most crypto-friendly? on: August 26, 2019, 09:52:45 PM
Of course, If there is unusual activity in your account (large sums), a bank being friendly to crypto or not won't matter much, they will still investigate.
This. I'm not aware of the exact threshold in the US, but every bank is legally obliged to not only investigate your transactions when they detect suspicious activity, but they also have to share your information with the authorities.

If you haven't been paying your taxes for example, and the bank ends up sharing your information, you're going to have some explaining to do, especially when your transactions are flagged as crypto transactions.

In order to avoid unnecessary problems, always read their terms and search for any mentions of crypto currencies. Better safe than sorry.

Yeah, things are pretty dark when it comes to taxation here. I remember reading a few days ago about some bloke in NY selling some mining hardware and the taxman came to bite months after asking him to pay tax money which he didn't have. Who'd say that this is the nation that fought for its freedom from the redcoats just because the tea taxes were high. These days we get taxed out of our asses yet no one bats an eye.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China’s Digital Fiat is Not a Crypto ?? on: August 25, 2019, 08:11:04 PM
If it is not a blockchain project, not a cryptocurrency and not a decentralized coin, then I tell you mate that whatever it is that china is creating is nothing inspired by bitcoin at all, I just see is china creating another digital payment coin, so they would just supported alibaba payment and just introduce this as their digital Yuan.

If it is not crypto, then the usage will mostly be limited to their citizens alone, and that would still not stop their citizens from using cryptocurrency since this coin they are creating cannot give them the benefit that people get from crypt, and they can never be able to take their mind away from crypto. The coin they are creating, will it at any point reward the holders? Will it be able to serve as store of value like bitcoin and some other coins that have enriched people?

Agreed 100% I don't see how or why people have started linking China's digital currency to Bitcoin or Blockchain. It is just another digital currency, only backed by a country, unlike Bitcoin or most cryptos. This currency would not be like Pedro, I think that's what has most people confused. China likes to have an iron grip over its currency, creating a decentralized digital currency would be so much against their nature.

In a few minutes you will have a guy called Tim coming here and pretending to be the guy you must hire. haha please go to youtube itself and scan the cryptocurrency channels and contact those youtubers directly. They even have their emails listed or you can just leave a message on their about section. Much better than hiring jokers that'll come here.
How come it is possible to give such a perfect guess. As you've mentioned the very next post is being made by him. Anyhow it is your headache, we don't have youtube related to cryptocurrency and if you're willing to publish ads then it is fair to have it on our channel contents.

hahaha I have observed the shit that goes on here very closely and I notice all the patterns. I am good at noticing patterns. It's just that I don't interact much often.
