1401  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TaaS ICO and Bounty Scam on: May 18, 2017, 10:05:10 AM
I think there is some mis communication. As Taas said bounty included other promotional methods also and not only bitcointalk forum campaign.Maybe they were running a similar signature or promotional campaign on other forums.I would love to see how Taas explain things. Also today is the day of bounty distribution lets see if they do as they promised
Why would you take a coward post seriously? Ignore..
The Taas team should have known better that external affairs relating to advertisement are a different topic when the reach the forum and are not connected to the ended bounty project.Besides even the campaign manager did not know about this and press and conference can never be a bounty

Let them come clean and just own up to their obligation!
1402  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What are the best wallets? on: May 18, 2017, 08:14:52 AM
So I've been using blockchain.info wallet ever since I've started and today I've noticed that it always gives me a recommended fee that's pretty low and the transactions get stuck in the confirmations. So I've been thinking of changing the wallet.
One thing I have noticed is when blockchain.info suggests high fees we complain about it same goes with the low recommended fee but for a low time user this should be no problem for you as the advanced setup feature is available for you.

Quote
What wallet is good for lower transactions that are not over 30$?

If you looking for low to zero fees try directbet wallet but for your information, you do not get access of the private key to this wallet

Quote
(also did anyone else experience that problem with the low recommended fees?)
Experienced this enormous times but I have learned to set the best fee when I want to send bitcoin depending on congestion
1403  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: all my bitcoins disappeared on: May 16, 2017, 08:48:16 PM

1404  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-15]Hackers who infected 200,000 machines have only made $50,000 worth on: May 16, 2017, 12:15:49 PM
Wow I don't know if 50k$ was worth taking that risk.
In which ever scenario you look at it the did get away with it so it was a low risk job unless the culprits were found
Quote
Now those btc addresses will be blacklisted forever and on the top that, he is going to be tailed forever by CIA & FBI & Mossad & KGB & SIS & BND & Interpol and any other secret sevice there is.
Is blacklisting an address even possible.... because i know its easy to track the transaction on the  blockchain
unless if they do use a mixing service to cover their tracks.

Quote
He (or that group) made himself a public enemy only for 50k$. fckd.
The magnitude of the attack could only be carried out by a group of people looking at how much resources we needed
1405  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: May 16, 2017, 11:34:26 AM
Bitcoin does not give your income, you worked and that gave you income.
-snip-
A common misconception that bitcoin gives you free money when in fact you have to work for it.

Quote
bitcoin provide income on line?
Yes it does but I would like to think bitcoin gives us an easier platform to connect us with resources to earn some money Roll Eyes
1406  Economy / Economics / Re: Moment for buying or selling? on: May 16, 2017, 10:05:32 AM
For me the right moment for buying and selling of bitcoin is when ever money is ready to be spent because if you buy now at high price you can still make a reasonable profit by selling some btc at a premium as long as prices do not drop extremely low what you initially bought them.

to buy bitcoin is now the more risk of losing  and better to produce bitcoin than buy it maybe. if you buy now do not easily panic if there is a price reduction then better to hold it because the price of bitcoin will return to peak even exceed the previous price.
lets not only look at the risk factor here, there is a chance of missing the boat bringing in good profit for. If you wanted to buy 5 btc why not buy half to partially absorb any unforeseen loss
1407  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Invest 2 btc on: May 16, 2017, 08:55:49 AM

Affiliate Program Revenue of up to 45% that is pretty high! Do you have banners we can embed into a website to direct traffic to your site?
What are the rates for website impressions generated towards your website

1411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy, hold or sell? on: May 15, 2017, 11:19:34 PM
What is going on with the price?!

It seems to explode.

What do you do?
Maybe hold and watch how the market moves as we are all anticipating the prices  to break the $2000 barrier

Quote
Buy more in case the price continues to rise?

Hold and wait for higher prices?

Sell and take profits?
Not so much of a bad idea to buy more, but i think for now maybe wait for public opinion of bitcoins roll in aiding these ransome hackers might be a market shaker.
1412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As much as I like BTC... on: May 15, 2017, 09:07:33 PM
...if there will not be a fix for the long confirmation times (don't tell me raise the fee) I doubt it will ever be used on a big scale.

Even if it reaches 5k... this is not how it should work. It can fall down big this way.
A lasting solution needs to be found and the only way out because if we all raise our fees it comes back where we had left from, the scalability problem

Quote
Look at Dogecoin how fast it is in comparison... that's the way to do it.
To be honest Dogecoin has not been put to extreme capacity as bitcoin so comparison not satisfactory.

Quote
Let's hope for a fix... in the near future. To be trustful and really become popular it needs to be fast. It's a must.
its popularity doe depend on this and am sure fixing confirmation times is top priority atm
1413  Economy / Speculation / Re: How realistic are the $1M Bitcoin predictions? on: May 15, 2017, 08:25:50 PM
I've seen a lot of hype around certain people predicting Bitcoin will be valued at $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 in the future.
Those certain people are traders who understand the power of speculation on the market

Quote
If Bitcoin reached $1M, that would mean 1 Satoshi would be equivalent to 10 cents USD, which could raise some issues for rounding with smaller transactions if Bitcoin gets a much wider use in the future, which could open up a whole new bucket of confusion with scaling. Would Bitcoin start being divided even more? Such as with fractions of a Satoshi?
Bitcoin getting such a value will certainly need a hard fork  to accommodate smaller denominations like the $1 or $5 as opposed to rounding off.

Quote
I feel that $1 Million is a bit high of an expectation, but at the beginning $1,000.00 seemed unreal also.

So what do you guys think is a realistic "best case scenario" value for Bitcoin in the future? $10,000? $100,000?
$1 Million is too high for an expectaation!
If ever the etf gets approved we might get there and bitcoins self supporting mechanism of halving also increases bitcoin value so i would say 10 grand easy catch.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: Moment for buying or selling? on: May 15, 2017, 04:47:15 PM
I was thinking, because of Bitcoin price skyrocketed, would it be wise to buy bitcoin now?
Buying bitcoin at the moment is more less like a gamble, you might might lose out or have a big fat cheque at the end of the day

Quote
I have some bitcoin in wallet, but nothing much, and i was thinking to buy some bitcoin more. But because of price rising in last few days i am not sure what to do, because if i buy now, maybe price will go down and ill lose profit, or maybe it will go up and i did not buy so ill lose profit too. What are your thinking on matter
You will first have to decide if you will have to go in on a short or long term investment and really dont think prices can surge to extreme levels for you to lose out on profit.

Quote
what do you think how much will price of bitcoin rise this year?
too early to speculate, we have not even passed mid year but we should expect prices to go over 2500...
1415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is useless or is it? on: May 15, 2017, 03:42:05 AM
With transaction costs rising above $1 the original promise of cheap remittance using Bitcoin is officially dead.
You have to accept that the cost of doing business has increased and miners need to cope with the ever growing demand, i feel rising costs are also good to prevent network spam .

Quote
Without utility Bitcoin use is limited to speculation only and even further what is there to speculate about?

I would like to debate this and gauge the community's response to Bitcoin experiment.
Believe is or Bitcoin use is popular among gamblers and traders and i have seen the trend slow down, it might be expensive but all whats needed is a little adjustment.

FYI Bitcoin is still a young currency to be declared useless with a lot of potential to change financial system around the world.
1416  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: May 14, 2017, 07:11:17 PM
I say by the end of December for sure, but feeling the summer is a possibility as well.  Your thoughts ?
Bitcoin price is already reach that amount and yet, it is already exceeded. Bitcoin's price is still rising so it is not far from it to reach 2000 usd per bitcoin within this year.

This week it already reach that amount ,it can make it bigger as the days approaching to reach greater than 2000 ,it really amazed me since I started less than half the amount of it now.

Actually there is no need to saying same It already reached the value in btc chart. Op has to lock or just ignore simply without digging unnecessary topic.
this price bump will take bitcoin to 2000$ with in this year.

At this speed, the price of bitcoin will likely reach 2000 USD this month.

The support seems to be there and more and more people want to get in as they don't want to miss the boat.

Unless some major stuff happens, I only really see this going up for now.
Spot on, for the time being we are not going to be seeing a price like 1500 as prices keep going uphill favored by a low supply of bitcoins available

on the market against the money coming in...current conditions will keep pushing prices up.
1417  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's Next Direction 2017 Predictions on: May 14, 2017, 06:29:09 PM
I can see the price in the $ 3000 range, but without a solution for slow confirmations and high fees, I don't see the price staying in that range for long.

The price increase is just an indicator that even with those problems still many chose to buy bitcoins. We are concerned about the high fees but the thing is that as the price is increasing, expect the fees will become higher not with the amount of bitcoins but because of the price or value of bitcoin. We will possibly hit $3,000 before this year ends.
One thing i like about bitcoin is it always keeps us in suspense, you just never know what will happen next... whether it will surge or soar and even with these temporary problems we facing we see more users demanding for bitcoin in spite of the high fees and high market value.

For 2017 we should expect bitcoin to close in the range of $2100- $2600
1418  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: May 14, 2017, 04:23:26 PM
Alcohol might be a great source of damaging your cell, it leads to high circulation of blood that would be a cause of getting a heart attack.not only that but also it can damage your money. Addiction of alcohol may destroy your family life as well as social identity.
Ultimately it leads to the death.

Yes, there is nothing good about it, they are willing to do anything to buy alcohol, even they spend all the money to buy alcohol, I know that because I often see people who drink alcohol, very uncontrollable, even melakaukan other crimes such as Steal and Even kill. It's because of the influence of alcohol, I'm sure, if they do not drink alcohol and under normal circumstances, they do not want to steal or kill, they'll just get regret, I make sure you'll be crushed if it continues To drink alcohol ...
You are right alcohol has damaging consequences not only to ones health but society as well. Alcohol abuse can lead to ones death and deprive us of the skilled labour that would have been used to develop our countries and it makes one financially indiscipline which in many cases leads to debt and broken families.
1419  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is gonna die soon! on: May 14, 2017, 11:14:06 AM
I like scenario 3, it just sounds practical as Bitcoin transaction will become less and less when bitcoin transfer fees and prices keeping soaring even the so called network spammers will not bare the cost and we shall all be forced to just hold our coins.

Quote
Thus BTC would become a sort of digital asset, with no actual use as a payment system
BtC becoming a digital asset would actually pave way to other altcoins to take over the payment system which would also provided a permanent solution to bitcoin scalibilty.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: May 13, 2017, 11:53:04 PM
I've had good moments and bad moments in my life, but the worst moments is when I spent the entire day gambling and focusing only to winning money for this or that.
I'm tired, seriously, to win big and then fall in more deep "debt" because of greediness. I can't afford to have such experiences anymore, it makes me sad the fact that instead of saving those money I preferred to spend them on a gambling site, I was like oh ok it's just x, so If i can lose it it's ok, oh it's just a faucet, it's ok if I lose it. But when If even with the faucet I reach like 0.06 or more, and then I lose them it's still a touch to the heart, that makes you say if I start back with this amount I can magically make it 0.6, yes probably, cause I did that in the past, as my far record is been from 0.001 to 1.6 btc in 3 hours with roulette, but let's not dig that.

I prefer spending the money on what are my necessities now, than see my wallet drop in amount. Every single f*** time, every time I had the chance to buy btc, or doge whatever, I ended up expecting to win big.
EVEN if I win big, I repeat that, I waste the money afterward, because I think it's a good idea to bet bigger now if my budget supports it, and there it goes down the hole.

Why I decided to leave gambling anyway? I saw how rapidly I was going down in the past few days, and like an hot potato to keep sinking my butt on the wallet. I'm tired of that. I better move my butt and find something that used to keep me busy, like programming, I love programming. But then I got stressed and I started to gamble.

I hope you all understand. All my friends I made in these years on the gambling sites, thank you everyone for your support of my strong decision.
Thanks everyone.

That happened because you were greedy, but that's nothing wrong with that -  mas everyone who ever gambled are at least little bit greedy.

It is really nice that you stopped gambling. I'm not saying that gambling is bad - gambling have many positive things, but it was definitely bad for you, as you couldn't stop gambling when you knew you had to. You life will be better now without gambling.
We all have got greedy at one point thinking gambling is an easy score when in fact its totally a death trap
Gambling is also one of the most distractive kinds of entertainment known to man and you still in the early stages of quitting gambling because its a tough transition and you know what they say bad habits die hard.....
Let gambling not come between your friendship you can still afford to share a good laugh! Grin Grin
