1041  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Japanese exchanges have begun to receive formal licences from their regulator on: September 29, 2017, 07:27:04 PM
Looks like this license battle has been going on for a long time now, great to see that this is now closed and a new foundation has been laid....hope to see more countries with strict regulations follow suit to contribute positively towards this technology of tomorrow. But some of the responsibilities that exchangers will have to follow will be a guaranteed daunting task like producing suspicious activity statements....good luck to them
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another hard fork coming in October. New Bitcoin name is "Bitcoin Gold" on: September 29, 2017, 04:14:50 PM
One thing is certain most people will recognize BTC as the real bitcoin the rest will always remain as altcoins, and AFAIK Bitcoin Gold will only give competition to bitcoin cash as they devs continue to try to improve the existing code/protocols. But one problem I see of having another bitcoin sibling is miners priorities will change and maybe affect the prime bitcoin (BTC) network in due course(*stand to be corrected)
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why isn't crypto going mainstream? on: September 29, 2017, 03:08:23 PM
As far as I know, we are slowly going mainstream which will take time but what I know is people are scared of trying something new like the blockchain technology or people are still living under a rock with no knowledge of whats to come or maybe they do not know the benefits of the technology.

Rulers want to keep control and power over their established system. One difficulty I see is to not have a privatised framework, as we have it now.

The blockchain must remain free!
This is one valid reason, people do not want to lose control when bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are adopted as they will disrupt this monopolized framework
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I convert my bitcoin to Ethereum? on: September 29, 2017, 01:43:37 PM
When investing, I’m a big fan of diversification of portfolios. I believe that both Ethereum and Bitcoin offer value, albeit in different ways.

Even though Ethereum is positioning itself to become a large platform, the fact that Bitcoin is so well known makes it the first place where people invest.
if you believe in diversification then its better to have both cryptocurrencies to avoid losing out on your investment when you put your eggs in one basket but from my observation ethereum is not as volatile as bitcoin is, and equally eth is not as profitable as btc .

I'm planning also to convert my bitcoin to eth since eth price is pumping right now. im having a problem on what to choose the right crypto for me since im just new here.
but from the two virtual currencies  bitcoin is the biggest gainer when we talk of a pump, eth to stable and slow to gain!
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: September 29, 2017, 01:29:37 PM
Celta Vigo will face Girona had their highs and lows this season last game they put a strong performance against Eibar and won 4-0 away and now they will be looking for two wins in row as the visitors is not doing well especially in the offensive side they didn't have a single goal scored for the past four games and they only scored 3 goals this season non of them came away from home so it's obvious that Celta Vigo have better chance to get the three points this time the visitors will try to get out with one point but I don't think that they will manage to get it so I'm going with a home with for Celta.
credit to their new manager who tried out a new formation and worked out for Celta Vigo, hope their poor performance wasn't all in an effort to get their coach sacked which seems to be the norm of today if players dont like their manager, but which todays game which features two teams that will be facing each other for the first time in laliga but from their previous meetings it suggests Celta has had a better run which I also think a win for Celta should be on the card.
1046  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin trend starts to climb? on: September 29, 2017, 12:57:15 PM
Of late crypto users having been speculating about exchange bans around the world which was hurting the price without putting into light the positives cryptocurrencies have scored, I just got to learn Japan will be issuing out licenses to some exchanges which is a big step which is contributing towards investor confidence and price recovery.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: September 29, 2017, 10:05:34 AM
As far as I know there is no blueprint on how one stops gambling, I have seen people stop gambling after winning lots of money and others have chosen to quit gambling after losing lots of money but imo if you gamble for fun... quitting should not be a problem because you have no reason to keep gambling because nothing is holding you besides the fun.
1048  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which wallet is best on: September 29, 2017, 08:27:50 AM
Which bitcoin wallet is best for transaction.
This is personal preference but i use both blockchain.info and electrum

Anyone can tell me which wallet take low fee secure & send bitcoin as fast as possible
We need to understand that fees do not go to the devs of the wallet but rather are treated as an incentive that goes to miners for mining your coins. And if you want your transaction to be confirmed faster use high fees to get ahead of the queue for this information visit https://bitcoinfees.21.co to set appropriate fees
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: September 29, 2017, 07:49:35 AM
small investments goes with the person investing, someone would invest 10 BTC and say that's a small investment which matters less to them and there is the average joe that would invest 0.01btc and see it as an investment which matters to them but in the actual sense its nothing more than pocket change, better gamble than call it an investment
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO regulation good or bad? on: September 28, 2017, 07:53:56 PM
More and more countries are planning to regulate ICOs. China, Canada, Russia,... I think this in an development nobody can stop. Do you think it is good or bad that ICOs will be more regulated in the near future? What positive and negative influences will it probably have?

I think there will be more investors like professional managed funds or even retirement funds which will invest into ICOs. The prices for ICOs will then become even more expensive and make it more difficult to make profits for small investors.
On the other hand, there must be a positive side in ICO regulations. There are lots of scammed ICOs and nobody could give a definite prediction which one is fake and which one is real. The the regulations, maybe the chances of becoming a scam will be reduced. ICO holders will now abide with the regulations and are careful with their projects.
I do agree with you in as much as this might seem like a setback, ICO regulations are all done in the best interest of protecting the investor from scam projects and to prevent people from committing fraudulent activities which was actually one of the reasons why the ban was put in place.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: September 28, 2017, 07:13:20 PM
I think most people here will suggest that you hold instead of selling, why not consider investing in some ICO's that show signs of a unique and strong project because its such projects investors need to get good retains in a short period as compared to hodling which takes years for you to get a good profit.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best anonymous altcoin? on: September 28, 2017, 06:58:19 PM
Well monero has been undisputedly been known to be the best anonymous altcoin todate but with third party services offering tumbling services for alts like ethereum it could challenge for that top spot considering it has the biggest market share among alts which gives it an advantage.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH - will it go lower on: September 28, 2017, 11:18:10 AM
From my observation ethereum and bitcoin are two close digital currencies with bitcoin leading the way on which direction eth and other altcoins will take, usaully if bitcoin dips ethereum follows through and when there is a bitcoin pump equally ethereum rides this wave...but imo when it comes to buying cryptocurrencies this should be done when money is there regardless of price because you can always make a profit at all rates.
1054  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin without China on: September 27, 2017, 11:08:35 PM
As far as I know Bitcoin needs China to reach new all time highs in a short period because it has a ready market to grow the crypto economy but in the long run new markets will be open which will help push the price to the moon, but when china becomes a hub of panic I think its best to cut relations with it as it might drag bitcoin down...but with its mining power and strong community it still has great influence in this ecosystem
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: September 27, 2017, 10:52:11 PM
Do you think it's better to wait a few days.?
If you check the latest stats of the ethereum market and other altcoins it shows that the market has started to recover and waiting a few more days would mean buying expensive eth coins which is lost opportunity when you can get them cheaper today.

Because of consistent hacking news about Eth, it really pulls down the bitcoin price.
You know what they say bad publicity is good for business and these hacks have been addressed and people and now more careful to avoid being phished.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: China Will Kill Bitcoin: A Conspiracy Theory on: September 27, 2017, 08:19:39 PM
I do not see China having that kind of power with the PBOC putting it in check and all regulations being put in place this is just helpnig open up new markets and fostering decentralization which is one of the components that has made bitcoin successful. Otherwise at the end of all this, this is nothing more than a conspiracy theory
1057  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: September 27, 2017, 06:59:23 PM
One thing is certain buyers are in three categories according to my understanding i.e day traders, hodlers and whales all with different intentions but I know day traders will always try to maximise on profit and will buy bitcoins when they see a price they can flip for profit and the other two will buy at any price as they know their profits are yet to be harvested.
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 26, 2017, 02:54:01 PM
Dortmund-Real i think it will be drawn,Ronaldo is hungry for goals becouse he is not playing in league Dortmund
is performing really well at home, many goals ,over 2.5. Hard task for LFC his defence is tragic,LFC need to drawn at least so maybe drawn.PSG-Bayern ,Bayern out of form still vs crying Naymar PSG,now PSG will need to promise that thay will buy Coutinho and sell Cavagni otherwise Naymar wil not like to play
i think dortmund will win the match A tough game is also due to poor real conditions in terms of absenteeism Marcelo Benzema and some crossover apparently not fully ready All of them are impressive absence on the Real
This should be the biggest game for tonight and unfortunately Real Madrid are not in their best of forms and seeing their head to head...it looks like  Dortmund have never lost against Real, with the best result been a draw but having already dropped some points against Spurs I dont think they will afford anything less than a win tonight if they fancy a chance of qualifying to the next round. I go for a BVB win tonight!
1059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Charlie Lee: Chinese bitcoin FUD is whale manipulation on: September 25, 2017, 05:57:21 PM
This is the plain old truth which people refused to work with and resulted in a huge dip of bitcoin and many other altcoins because people are usually fooled with such FUD but it's good to see that people like Charlie Lee with some influence/following come out in the open to get the record straight to stop this artificial manipulation from going on. Great to see prices rising once again  Wink
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 24, 2017, 12:36:16 PM
Brighton vs Newcastle
These are games I try not to bet on because they are just so unpredictable but I think Newcastle has some quality in the team and a better chance of winning this afternoon despite playing away from home, and both teams have a few injury concerns which I hope won't cost the teams.
My Prediction Newcastle to win @ 2.80 odds NB this fixture has never seen a draw & i hope the trend continues even today.
