1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ❤❤❤[ANN] [ICO] JDS ICO is open (AIRDROP ❤10,000 WAVES❤) on: September 01, 2017, 11:39:32 AM
Looks like I made it in time for the airdrop thanks RomanJDS for the waves.
Just one question is the purchase of JDS tokens automatic when funds are deposited as I only see deposit address and history of waves transactions when I  hit the invest now button?

Can I join Airdrop?
All instructions are in the opening page(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2046828.0) and airdrop is open limited to Jr. Member  and above...

1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone won above 1.5btc on: September 01, 2017, 08:55:54 AM
I use to gamble with accumulators some time back  but because I was usually off by one or two wrong picks I now bet on singles to try and win more often, which i do... and with the current high value of bitcoin we are no longer careless as we were when it comes to gambling which makes winning such amounts of bitcoins to be difficult.
1103  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? on: September 01, 2017, 08:17:28 AM
Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile?
There are many factors at play...trading can cause volatility and bitcoins decentralization makes it vulnerable to manipulate from whales with lots of bitcoins and bad press contributes its fair share to volatility.
I am confused to buy bitcoin now when it's value is too high.
You do not need to worry about the buying price today because prices are expected to go higher as the blockchain technology becomes more popular around the world
1104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Jumps Above $4,800 for the First Time on: September 01, 2017, 06:24:33 AM
There is a logarithmic chart of the price of bitcoin that can be found here.
https://99bitcoins.com/price-chart-history/
From this chart it is very simple to say that now bitcoin will increase until 100000.
Expectations are too high for things to happen in less than 4years

This increase of today will continue for other 3-4 years from now. So bitcoin will continue to jump, and jump and jump, until 100000. After this value we will have to wait pribably another 10-20 years for another increase to happen.
A continuous increase for 3-4 years without any dips or corrections is not possible neither is it possible to have stagnation for more than a decade without activity, let us not forget bitcoin is still the top crypto currency and every one new to the crypto world will have to go through it first which means rise in demand and price.
1105  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: August 31, 2017, 11:45:09 PM
they are smart to look for opportunities, storing bitcoin in a long time will make them profit much larger than before. if they buy the current auto bitcoins if there is such a rapid rise in the coming year they will become millionaires. so this is a very great thought only the big-minded person dare to take this decision.
Precisely! Bitcoin is  no longer an investment for opportunists only, any body can freely invest in this cryptocurrency and enjoy profits from one of the few fastest growing industries of todays technology, and the beauty about bitcoin today is you do not have to wait for several years for your investment to payback or flip it into a quick profit.
1106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do your children a favour and save bitcoin NOW on: August 31, 2017, 10:08:26 PM
Definitely some good advice, financial security is something we all need to look into to secure for our families future or protect our own future when we are longer unable to work and bitcoin is guaranteed of going to the moon any time from now ,and  if you can spare some extra cash for other altcoins, et us try to invest there too.
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buy etc ? on: August 31, 2017, 09:22:37 PM
As far as I know people buy for several reasons, some believe the value will of etc will one day go to the moon and make them rich, some buy ETC by mistake thinking they have got themselves the real ethereum when infact its a break away ethereum crypto, and some people want a little bit of every cryptocurrency they can get their hands on.
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IFT or OPT on: August 31, 2017, 08:33:03 PM
Both recently just finished their respective token sales and are totally two different projects and investfeed has an established community which gives it the edge but OPUS on the other hand, is disputing the music industry using the blockchain technology with a totally new idea of removing the middle man which will help artists realize real revenue from their talents...You could go 50-50 to minimize the risk...
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors Beware: China to Give Death Penalty to ICO Traders? on: August 31, 2017, 08:03:18 PM
Well if this is the way the Government of China wants to protect it's people from scams, it's a little harsh but at the same time it may stop the Crypto space being riddled with fake and scammy projects. I wonder if this will affect the price of NEO if ICOS are no longer allowed to be run in China?
That explains why i have seen less ICO's to be from china and more from Singapore and other places but is this the last resort of the government..? To be honest such a harsh punishment and we know they mean well and all in an effort to reduce scams but this might affect established currencies negatively and bring fear into crypto users.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 World Cup qualifications, UEFA zone, discussion and information thread on: August 31, 2017, 04:53:03 PM
Looking at the possible lineups between France and Netherlands courtesy of thehardtackle France Possible Starting XI (4-4-2): Lloris; Sidibe, Koscielny, Umtiti, Kurzawa; Coman, Kante, Pogba, Lemar; Griezmann, Giroud and Netherlands Possible Starting XI (4-3-3): Cillessen; Veltman, Hoedt, De Vrij, Blind; Sneijder, Strootman, Wijnaldum; Robben, Janssen, Memphis Depay...both teams have decent teams and bright players and history looks to favor the French and I wouldnt want to go against that but I like a both teams to score tonight.
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite 3 altcoins and why? on: August 31, 2017, 07:19:00 AM
BTC, ETH and Litecoin.
WHY
BTC because its the father of all cryptocurrencies and its proven to be the safest investment anyone would pick out and has a fast return on investment.
ETH second most popular and biggest crypto.. see no reason for leaving it out and it paves way for other great altcoins which are built on its network.
Litecoin is among my favourite as its considered bitcoin in disguise and usually paves way for the prime coin with new developments .
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: August 30, 2017, 07:37:21 PM
Lucky kid this really shows that it pays to be an early bird!
And to be honest at the end of it all this remains to be a motivational story that might work for some people and will not work for you but it wouldnt hurt anybody if you invested a thousand dollars in a promising project...who knows you might be the next millionaire on the block
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: August 30, 2017, 07:10:24 AM
The way of becoming an expert is never an easy process and this is a long learning process but one of the keys to becoming one is to know the right threads to engage in, theirs plenty of resources for such and if you need to become even more technical stick to Development & Technical Discussion, mining and the alike and stay up to date with latest bitcoin developments....
1114  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-28] This Swedish guy bet all his life savings on bitcoin on: August 29, 2017, 11:58:14 PM
I don't know whether to believe that this article is based on factual events or not but I must give credit to Mr Alexander with his calculated risk of investment its a long shot but i like it...just wonder how long we shall have to wait for our moon prices because waiting for more than a century to see prices as high as $300000 isn't on my bucket list Tongue
1115  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to check scam site??? on: August 29, 2017, 09:02:19 PM
If a site is a scam and you want to dig for such kind of information yourself your best resource is to use google but my advice is to avoid such Ponzi scheme investments at all cost as you will end up losing your money...its even better to gamble than invest in a HYIP but I would suggest investing in an initial coin offering(ICO) which have minimum risks just do you research before investing.
1116  Economy / Economics / Re: Pros and cons of bitcoins for consumers and businessmen on: August 29, 2017, 06:58:08 PM
Pros:
-You might overlook this but bitcoin is for everyone its not tied to the elite or underclass.
- Super secure such that if owner forgets their keys you cant get your coins back
Cons:
-Some govt's are afraid to legalize which has made it difficult  for consumers and businessmen to use.
- transaction fees are not uniform most likely because of congestion and the alike.

~snip~

I don't think Bitcoin is slow at all. Confirmation is pretty fast unless the network is being spammed, the fees are also really cheap unless Roger Ver and Jihan are spamming it.

If you want you can take 0 confirmation transactions, that would be faster, but less secure. Credit cards take 180 days to confirm and no one even knows it.
Valid point transaction are near instant but its the waiting times that hurt the most, hope when segwit is in full gear this will be an issue of the past
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 29, 2017, 05:57:44 PM
Real Madrid slipped for the first time and made a draw against Valenica at home. Dont forget that Ronaldo and Ramos were out. I dont think that we will see much more slips like that.

I don't think Real Madrid Couldn't win for not having Ramos and Ronaldo. They played brilliantly against Barcelona a week ago without having Ronaldo. They played well against Valencia but their striker was not in form.Benzema has missed nearly 7chances and Bale was not in his form.Only Asensio played good against Valencia.I hope real madrid will bounce back in upcoming match against Levante.
Absolutely right, without Ronaldo Real Madrid has played an outstanding match at Bernabeu against Barcelona. without Ramos also they have played very good against Valencia. but due to a lot of abortive effort and poor performance of Karim Benzema as well as Gareth Bale they couldn't score more. it doesn't matter at all. at the end of this season,

Real Madrid will win the trophy, Because they have Cristiano Ronaldo and the new sensation Asensio. that is why Zidane didn't give importance so much on the last game result.
If Real Madrid played exceptionally well against Barcelona and won convincingly too...why should we say the draw was because they played without their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo ? Lets not forget there is no player bigger than a team, besides Madrid just did not have it in them to get the job done having had the most ball possession, credit to Valencia who held on well!
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find assets before they are popular? on: August 29, 2017, 12:36:08 PM
I guess when investing, research is the first key to becoming reliably right.
Before we commit to investing in any project research should be the baby steps to help weigh if the project will succeed or not

Guys, where do you usually get your information from?
some projects get popular easily because they are already known outside the crypto world and find it easy to get an audience when they join the blockchain ecosystem. As for completely new projects I get information about upcoming icos  from tokenmarket.net, https://www.icocountdown.com and mostly here on the forum or my twitter feed.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pre-ICO bonuses on: August 29, 2017, 09:21:06 AM
Hi

In most of ICOs, investors can get some bonuses, if they invest sooner. In my opinion these bonuses not only don't cause the ICO to be successful, but also cause the ICO to fail.
The bonus system is a good marketing strategy but bad for business in the long run!

In some ICOs there is up to 100% bonus.
a 100% bonus incentive needs to be questionable because how do they maintain the value of their coin when there is excess supply Huh

If I see that there are some people have gotten 100% bonus in pre-ICO, I don't invest in that ICO, Because they will dump their coins after crowdsale and cause the price to fall.
Do you agree with me? What are your opinions?
I do agree with you and I have no problem with bonuses but 100% is outrageous and will gift investors who will have nothing to lose when they get back their initial invested money and will care less when they dump their tokens as its all profit for them.
1120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is not Ideal, it represents possibilities. on: August 29, 2017, 08:44:08 AM
Double spending is not only a disadvantage but as an advantage as well because of so many transactions being unconfirmed. Why is it considered bad? It can be misused by scammers but the transaction can be identified as a double spend which is easy to track.
I agree Double spending does have its advantages when used correctly but because some users use this feature to scam others or service providers this gets a bad name but otherwise this is still a powerful tool which could be used to accelerate transactions with low fees ! And besides,a certain number of confirmations are needed to avoid being a victim of such.
