761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you play for fun using real money? on: February 04, 2018, 03:32:04 PM
I don’t buy this story of people gambling for fun because no one plays to make losses in the name of fun. As far as I know There  is nothing more thrilling than making some profits from gambling which to be honest is the real fun here.
I don't see anything bad with spending real money to have fun in gambling. Just make sure that money spent is really just your extra and not needed to pay for expenses.
I agree At the end of it all gambling is all about entertainment and if one is able to spare some money then it’s okay
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People, why are you so scared? on: February 04, 2018, 03:14:58 PM
People are scared of the crypto market because of the high volatility and the risk of losing money as value of these coins is always changing, crypto are not for the faint at heart

I agree with you there was no serious reason to get scared and panic sell the portfolio in loss, according to my understanding this FUD was created by big institutions, banks, governments and big investors that are either against crypto or are manipulating to get themselves in.
I agree with you this fear is spread by people against bitcoins because the don’t like the idea of giving people a decentralized economy
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you sleep well investing in shitcoins? on: February 04, 2018, 01:53:12 PM
Lol once you are readyto invest in a shit coin then you are ready to lose your investment and you should have no problem of sleeping...but why Invest in something that is you see as a shitcoin in the first place???

There is no risk to be considered here as you know your money is already gone by investing in a shitcoin!
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: February 04, 2018, 01:01:14 PM
We can’t force matters if people choose not to like or use bitcoin it’s their decision but they need to understand that they are missing this opportunity of being an early adopter of a cryptocurrency that could displace the use of fiat.
Only people will have negative thoughts if they do not trust bitcoin and I'm sure someday they will start to understand and will even learn how to get it and use bitcoin, until now just keep quiet even though they do not like what I do.
I agree with you people have trust issues and the only way this will change for them is if they start to actually use it to experience the advantages it brings

765  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could the Bitcoin price by the end of 2018 only 4000$ - 6000$ on: February 04, 2018, 09:49:25 AM
Records are there but unfortunately conditions have changed from how the market was back in 2013-2015 when bitcoin had very few supporters and believers, but with today’s high adoption rate of cryptos and don’t see why bitcoins value should drop to these margins.....we need progress as at now.
I do not think that can happen. Because of the FUD of the market. $9000 is the bottom of Bitcoin price. many investors will buy it with this level. They will hold until it rise again.
I agree and what’s also hurting the market besides the FUD is this continued posts of how low the price of bitcoin will go, let’s talk of high bitcoin prices will go😎
766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will go back to $1 this year here is why.. on: February 04, 2018, 09:45:44 AM
Come on...ethereum hitting 1 dollar this must be a joke!
Ethereum has little to no flaws known to us which almost guarantees that a high price will be preserved and as far as I know etch is also among the most stable cryptocurrencies. Don’t expect this crash
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: February 03, 2018, 03:27:56 PM
I was away from crypto for years and now I'm trying to get back into the game.  I was really STUNNED that there is no exchange, even after many years since bitcoin started, that we can just deposit USD and start exchanging altcoins.  I hope I'm wrong because this would be the single biggest hurdle for altcoins to be widely adopted by general public.  There are just too many hurdles to jump over just to START trading.

I think binance is well enough. There are no any troubles with registrations or verification + high security level and a lot of low-cap tokens.
I agree times have changed over the years and very few exchanges accept direct USD deposits unless you buy the crypto coins and later trade on an exchange like binance which has become well known
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future predictions about crypto currencies on: February 03, 2018, 12:30:37 PM
The young generation of today is very tech savvy and I believe Cryptocurrencies are now ready to be an very day technology and with the rate at which most industries are adopting this technology crypto will have no problem to penetrate the market.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late for Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2018, 06:12:04 PM
I would have said you are late when price was as high as 19000 dollars but with the current dip I think you are very much on time to buy some bitcoins and hodl them.
Bitcoin is something that will last at least 50 years from now...so it is never too late for bitcoin. Buy when you can and hold
I like your confidence level just waiting to see this come through
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: February 02, 2018, 05:35:35 PM
Are you picky with ICOs?
Am very much picky because some coins are worthless and everyone needs to be because some ICOs have no intention of delivering a finished product for its supporters to use after raising the proposed funds
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin going to hit 5000 USD ? on: February 02, 2018, 12:19:57 PM
I'm afraid this gap it will last a few more weeks so the bottom will be at aproximative 5000 usd ... what do you think will it reach or 8000 is already the bottom line??
This can’t go on forever its bound to start to recover from the dip which has taken forever, and the interesting thing about cryptos is they are related and the value depends on bitcoin maintaining a good price.
I believe it will stop at 6500 but i am not sure of course. All i can say is don't panic sell.
It would be nice to see bitcoin to start moving against such prices
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Receive tokens to MyEtherWallet on: February 02, 2018, 07:53:38 AM
I'm still a newbie to cryptocurrency industry. I recently joined in a few airdrop events. But, still I have 0 tokens available in my MEW wallet. Should I have some Ether on my MEW wallet in order to receive tokens?
Welcome to the cryptocurrency industry and if the devs incharge of the airdrop say tokens were distributed the easiest way to confirm that you have indeed received some is to use the ethereum explorer like etherscan.io and  then just input you eth address in the search bar and it will show you all your ERC-20 tokens.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: February 02, 2018, 04:26:10 AM
In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.
Ethereum has several advantages over bitcoin it could be no surprise to see it merge as the top cryptocurrency and with its faster block times merchants will equally have no problem adopting it but eth was not developed for such a purpose which is the main difference that separates bitcoins and ethereum

I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.
Such statements just cause panic and only whales try to use such tactics to buy cheap coins
774  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-30] Samsung Enters Crypto Mining Market, “Mass Producing” ASIC Chips on: February 01, 2018, 10:40:59 PM
This is good news for the crypto world seeing a big company such as Samsung  entering the Crypto Mining Market but i also see this as a free adoption marketing for cryptocurrencies as more people around the world will get to know of this digital economy thanks to Samsungs dominance in the electronic industry. Well done and good luck samsung
775  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Hacking is the Big Problem on: February 01, 2018, 09:41:37 PM
Guys…

I read the new the Japanese Exchange Coincheck loses ¥58 billion in the hacking attack. It’s not a single case in this after a few weeks ago Etherdelta was also Hacked. So how can we ensure that our money is safe on exchanges?
I read somewhere that Coincheck is ready to compensate its users https://www.ccn.com/coincheck-announces-compensation-260000-nem-holders-following-major-hack/ but as long as we want to trade on these exchanges security will have to be improved from the exchanges side as we have done our part of using 2fa and using of unique passwords different from existing ones...will hacks stop not sure maybe bounties to test how secure these exchanges are shouldbe started.
776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's "long-term" pattern of recovering from dips is over on: February 01, 2018, 09:11:05 PM
~snip~

thank you for your post. posts like yours are telling me that bottom is getting close. the number one crypto will never go up again because of... ...other cryptos?  what you are forgetting is that every new alt coin is not only competing with bitcoin, but also with every other alt at the same time.
I agree with you, the more altcoins we have on the market the more money is removed from the bitcoin pot which results in reduced share capital of bitcoin in the crypto market, but if this remains the way they are btc could become more stable and the current dip in prices could be blamed on high transaction fees which has seen btc been dropped as a payment method by big companies hope things change soon.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: February 01, 2018, 07:24:51 AM
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,
With the continued growth of bitcoin users the blockchain becomes even more robust as new computers are added to the network to prevent any third party changes to the bitcoin chain. As far as I know bitcoin is safe, whats not safe is some of these exchanges and wallet providers we use.
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,

As of security, I think, NOTHING is safe now.
Safer? Yes, it is safer than others, however, as to hackers, time will come they will find a way to do something that will make btc vulnerable.
Hope this vulnerable time never comes
778  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin price so stable in 2018? on: January 31, 2018, 07:45:12 PM
I am not seeing any stability of bitcoin rather a bearish market of it. This I think is normal, last year this was also felt. Plus, we had been hearing news about the government's action against bitcoin so this factor would be affecting.
I think the main reason for this so called "stability" is as a result of investors being afraid of losing their investments as government keeps changing its stance over how cryptocurrencies will be used so people are not so active for now...which explains its stability

Too early to say that Bitcoin price is stable in 2018. It's the first month of the year, and we actually saw strong variations in the past few weeks.
I agree with you but the last days of January has been pretty stable
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptos are "printing money at home". it's illegal on: January 31, 2018, 07:13:32 PM
The fact that there is printing in your sentence i dont believe what you saying....you cant compare cryptos to fiat and for the record i believe cryptos are pegged to the dollar in some way as more dollars means more value for bitcoin/altcoins and when more fiat goes out of cryptos then we get to see a dip
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: January 30, 2018, 09:47:31 PM
This is not an ordinary "price" swing.  The end is near for legacy Bitcoin.
You were right that wasn't an ordinary price swing seems to me this caused a catapult effect which saw bitcoin go from $6600 to as high as ~19000 dollars the highest price I have seen besides other exchanges going higher than this .

If we crypto-users can just relax whenever there is a dip we could make some good profits for hodling
